The October One Week Challenge is coming - post author Don

SimplyScripts One Week ChallengeThe October ’13 One Week Challenge topic and genre will be announced here on October 11th at 10:00 pm eastern daylight time. Each person who takes the challenge will have one week to write a screenplay between 6 to 10 pages. The screenplay must be properly formatted and in PDF format. The scripts are due on Friday, October 18th at 11:59 pm edt.

There will be a Writer’s Choice wherein the participants (and only the participants) will be asked to select one script he or she likes the best.

You can follow the event on the discussion board. Self registration on the discussion board is closed, if you wish to become a member, please contact me.

The Schedule:

  • October 11th at 10:00 pm edt – Theme and Genre announced
  • October 18th at 11:59 pm edt – Scripts are due
  • October 31st at: 5:00 pm edt – Names Revealed and Writer’s Choice revealed.

The Gist:

  • 6 – 10 pages
  • PDF format
  • Properly formatted
  • This isn’t a contest
  • Free to submit
  • One entry per person (unless you think you try to slip one by me.)
  • You can revise your script as many times as you wish up until 11:59 pm on 10/18.

    An Adult Swim style animated series about an opinionated, unfiltered, divorced 40 year old kindergarten teacher who educates his students in an unconventional manner. In each episode, he teaches a new subject to the class--for instance, in the pilot, he teaches them economics, and he covers things like alimony, interest rates, plumbers overcharging customers, the role golddiggers have in the economy, etc. 14 pages
