The Pacifier Script - post author admin

For you Vin Diesel fans, Just a Guy in Hollywood has got up a revised draft of The Pacifier. That would be on the Movie Script page.

Do you wonder what “EXT.” and “INT.” mean? How about “O.S.” or “V.O.” or “Slug Line”? If you didn’t know, there is a glossary of screenwriting terms available on the Writer’s Resource page. Available there are articles about screenwriting, screenplay contests, protecting your work and more.

Sleepaway Camp III Script - post author admin

Sleepaway Camp – another film from the 80’s that spawned several sequels. Well, the folks at Sleep Away Camp Films have put up a revised draft of Sleepaway Camp III and a few pages of the first film Sleepaway Camp. If you are a big, big fan of the Sleepaway Camp films, do check out Sleep Away Camp Films for some great info and perhaps a little insight into the upcoming Return to Sleepaway Camp (Sleepaway Camp V: The Reunion). Not sure what is going on with that tho. Every update seems to stop in November of 2005 as evidenced by movie info on Upcoming Horror Movies and the Official Site. Creepy-ish. Anywho, slink your way over to the movie scripts page and have a look. Thanks to anonymous for the heads up.

And yes, Will. Everybody and their freaking mother now knows that Daily Script is back up.

Thunderheart and Alone In The Dark Script - post author admin

No, the script for “Run For The Money” isn’t online. Just wanted to have a pic with both Val and Christian.

Over on the Movie Scripts and Screenplays we can thank Just A Guy in Hollywood for his part in bringing this August 19, 2003 double cherry revision(!) draft script of Alone In The Dark to light. This was filmed with Christian Slater and Tara Reid (as a genius anthropologist no less). John Fallon of Arrow In The Head fame had a bit part in the movie and did a write-up of his experiences on the set.

Thanks to The Weekly Script there is a text version of Thunderheart that first appeared over at Val Kilmer Newsletter in pdf format. Read these and more on the Movie Scripts and Screenplays page.

Duel and Dennis Weaver - post author admin

Thanks to ‘anonymous’ and Awesome Film for this Richard “I am Legend” Matheson penned teleplay Duel. Dedicated to Dennis Weaver who died February 24 of this year. To me, he will always be McCloud.

As mentioned, the Nebula Award Winners were announced. My man James Patrick Kelley, whose work Men Are Trouble was nominated for best novelette, didn’t win. Bummer. We are still behind JPK. In three months the Hugo’s are coming up. JPK’s novella Burn has been nominated for best novella. You can either read (in several formats) or listen to (in MP3) Burn on Jim’s website.

Thanks to Escape Pod you can listen to the Hugo Short Story Nominees starting today.

Gremlins 2 and The Chronicles of Narnia Script - post author admin

Thanks to Horror Lair and Vern, the third draft of Gremlins 2 is on the ‘net. Also, thanks to Just A Guy in Hollywood we can read this early, early draft of The Hundred Year Winter which was filmed as The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. These can be experienced on the Movie Scripts and Screenplays page.

I finally got the Unproduced Script of the Day converted to the new look.

The Nebula Award Winners were announced. (Thanks to Escape Pod for the heads up).

Ticker and They?re made out of meat. - post author admin

Thanks to Ken and Daily Script there is an early, early draft of Paul Margolis’ Ticker. That would be on the movie scripts and screenplays page.

They Are Made Of MeatNow for something completely different.

Terry Bisson (Hugo and Nebula Award Winner) wrote a hilarious short called, “They?re made out of meat“. Stephen O’Regan filmed the short story which later won Grand Prize at the Science Fiction Museum’s SF Short Film Festival in Seattle in February of this year. You can view it here. If it doesn’t work you can try viewing it on Atom Films or on You Tube. If the video doesn’t work, you can read the story and use your imagination.

The Believer movie script - post author admin

Thanks to JBM for the heads up and hand in this from The Daily Script. Read the script to The Believer, the 2001 Sundance Festival grand-jury prize winner. It is on the movie scripts page. Seriously, folks, between The Believer, Hotel Rwanda, Dances with Wolves and The Woodsman there are some seriously heavy scripts on the ‘net.

See you on the streets tomorrow.

Dances with Wolves, Hotel Rwanda, The Wedding Date and Game 6 movie scripts - post author admin

The Movie Scripts and Transcripts page is getting quite swollen and I probably should trim it back again, but before I do, gotta let you know that thanks to The Daily Script you can read the Oscar Winning Screenplay for best adapted screenplay – Dances with Wolves.

And, thanks to Just a Guy in Hollywood you can read Hotel Rwanda (nominated for Best Original Screenplay), Something Borrowed (which later turned into The Wedding Date) and Game 6 (which I’m sure nobody saw). Note: be very, very patient with the last three scripts, there is a long pause before they start to download.

These scripts and more can be found on the Movie Scripts and Transcripts page.
