MoviePoet.com March short script winners

MoviePoet.com is proud to announce the winners of our March 2009 short script competition.

“The Process of Elimination” by Brian Wind ~ First Place
Being an Assassin-in-Training can be difficult, but it’s nowhere near as bad as being the instructor.

“A Ghost in the Embers” by Scott Merrow ~ Second Place
It’s 1883. A lone cowboy beds down out on the open prairie and watches as the smoke from his campfire morphs into a ghostly shape. And not just any ghostly shape — it’s the ghost of Billy the Kid!

“Found and Lost” by Nick Miranda ~ Third Place
A female soldier sends home some video messages from the desert. But she only has a few seconds to relate some very horrifying information to her husband.

MoviePoet.com is dedicated to the art of screenwriting, in particular, the short screenplay. Each month, we run a free online five page screenplay contest. Our goal is threefold: help writers improve their craft, celebrate our best work, and connect writers and their scripts with filmmakers.
