Alex Van Helsing: Vampire Rising by Jason Henderson - post author admin

Jason Henderson, author of The Sword of Dracula, (you can read a script excerpt here) has a new series – Alex Van Helsing. The first in the series, Alex Van Helsing: Vampire Rising by Jason Henderson, comes out today from HarperCollins.

Fourteen-year-old Alex has no idea that he’s descended from the world’s most famous vampire hunter, but that changes fast when he arrives at Glenarvon Academy and confronts two vampires in his first three days.

Turns out Glenarvon isn’t the only school near Lake Geneva. Hidden deep underground lies an ancient university for vampires called the Scholomance. And the deadly vampire clan lord known as Icemaker? You might say he’s a visiting professor.

When two of Alex’s friends are kidnapped by Icemaker, it’s up to Alex to infiltrate the Scholomance and get them back – alive. Assisted by the Polidorium, a top-secret vampire-hunting organization with buried ties to the Van Helsings, Alex dodges zombies, bullets, and lots – and lots – of fangs on his way to thwarting Icemaker’s plans and fulfilling his family destiny.

Hunting Humans - post author admin

This ‘just’ in from Kevin of Kangas Kahn Films.

Hey, recently noticed you linked to my script for Fear of Clowns –very cool! Thought you might like the link to my first produced screenplay, “Hunting Humans”, from MTI Home Video…

[S]ome serial killer was caught with a copy [of Hunting Humans] in his dvd player like a year ago, which is flattering yet creepy…Dateline and
Nightline (page 3) both featured the flick in their stories.

Hunting Humans – 1999 unspecified draft script by Kevin Kangas – hosted by: Kangas Kahn Films – in html format

Meet Aric Blue. He’s young. He’s handsome. He’s successful. He’s also a serial killer. He picks his victims at random, stalking them and taking advantage of the patterns in their life to kill them. He’s the ultimate serial killer. But when he finds his next victim already dead, a note on the body reading: “I’VE GOT YOUR PATTERN”, Aric realizes he’s being stalked by a serial killer every bit his equal. When two serial killers wage war, the rules are simple: Don’t Get In The Way.

The Lost Boys: The Beginning script - post author admin

The Lost Boys - Image from joblo.comThanks to Splatter Boy for the heads up on the script The Lost Boys: The Beginning.

Joblo’s Arrow in the Head snagged a script exclusive. The undated, unspecified draft (first draft, maybe) was written by Eric Red based on a story by Eric Red and Joel Schumacher. Joel Schumacher was the director of the original The Lost Boys.

According to Arrow, the script is set in San Francisco at the turn of the century and followed a vampire that hooks up with the five kids who were to become The Lost Boys.

Skip on over to Arrow in the Head and read the writeup of the script and the script (pdf format). – Don
