Reasonable Doubt screenplay - post author admin

Thanks to Peter for this script exclusive! In theaters now.

Peter writes: The original script is 115 pages long and the released move is 90 mins including credits so that should tell you how much either wasn’t filmed or hit the cutting room floor. The biggest difference is that those edits mean the filmed version is very rushed and workman-like, missing a lot of rhythms and scenes that add character, feeling and mood to the piece. And the filmed finale is a very truncated, emotionally unsatisfying version of what I wrote and wanted the audience to experience.

The Good Samaritan (released as: Reasonable Doubt) – February 29, 2012 unspecified draft script by Peter A. Dowling – hosted by: SimplyScripts – in pdf format

Up-and-coming District Attorney, Mitch Brockton is involved in a fatal hit-and-run, but Clinton Davis, is found with the body and charged with murder. Believing that Davis is innocent, Brockton is compelled to throw the trial. Soon after, Brocton’s perfect life begins to unravel as he realizes that the man he set free is hiding a secret that will destroy him.
