Thanks to Will over at the Daily Script who gave us the heads up and some info from Donovan on this latest – Ocean’s Twelve. Donvan writes, “This draft of Ocean’s Twelve is an early, rough production draft (NOT the original Honor Among Thieves) with much the same story, but generally just a lot looser and crappier. A work-in-progress with at least one plot hole on every page. A few funny gags and a telekinetic Night Fox, but the finished film is much, much better. Reading this draft of the screenplay might make you think more highly of what ended up on the screen (whether you liked it or not…).”
Scamper on over to the Movie Scripts page and check it out. – Don

Two new scripts on the ‘net. Thanks to Donovan (formerly of FMA) and Daily Script there is the June 1991 early draft of Jennifer Eight by Bruce Robinson (who also penned “Withnail & I”). Donovan comments, “Jennifer Eight was notoriously too long to be released without major re-editing and re-shoots. The script was written in a deceptive way, with a lot of dialogue ‘hidden’ in the prose. Because of this, so many scenes had to be cut (to bring the film under 3 hours) that reshoots were needed just so the ending would still make sense. It was also rumoured that the reshoots even changed the identity of the killer… but that isn’t true. …Bruce Robinson has said he’ll never revisit the film for a DVD ‘Director’s Cut’, so the only way to know what he originally intended was to read this script. So here it is, in case anyone else is interested.”
Additonally, thanks to Screentalk there is an undated, unspecified draft of Memoirs of a Geisha by Robin Swicord (based on the best selling novel by Arthur Golden). Those would be found on the Movie Scripts page. – Don
