Vote! and Krull script - post author admin

For those of you who live and are registered to vote in the US and A, go vote. Bring a script to read whilst waiting in line. You could, thanks to Leon and DailyScript read a draft of the 1980’s movie Krull. Or, thanks to JBM, read a draft of Max Payne. Regardless, both are on the Movie Scripts page. – Don

Sword of Dracula: The Dracula War script to comic excerpt - post author admin

Sword of Dracula script to comicComing in December, Sword of Dracula: The Dracula War – Author, Jason Henderson, has been kind enough to release the first six pages of The Dracula War as well as the corresponding pages from the screenplay upon which it is based.

Jason writes, “In this scene, the prologue, Ronnie Van Helsing leads an attack on one of Dracula’s floating blood reservoirs. I’m also including the same scene from the script for comparison, because it’s an interesting illustration of how the different media lead you to make different choices. Greg [Scott] and I started with a scene with four commandos and several more pilots– the final scene has only two characters, the movement is different, etc. In the end they’re the same scene, but very different in how you accomplish “land on the zeppelin, inject it, fight zombies and jump off.”

Visit the Sword of Dracula page to compare and contrast ‘script to comic’. Order Now. – Don

Defiance script and Duchess script - post author admin

Two more “For Your Consideration” scripts up on the Movie Scripts page. Thanks to Michael for the heads up. Paramount Vantage has Frohman & Zwick’s September, 2007 draft script of Defiance. Defiance will have a limited release on December 31 of this year so’s in order to be eligible for Oscar consideration. This has Daniel Craig, Liev Schreiber and Jamie Bell as three Jewish brothers who escape from Nazi-occupied Poland into the Belarussian forest, where they join Russian resistance fighters. You can check out the trailer to the movie. Looks pretty freaking epic to me.

There is also the November 20, 2007 shooting draft script of Duchess which just came out starring Keira Knightley as the Duchess of Devonshire. – Don

Wherein writers were challenged to write a 13 page young adult horror script on the theme of “It is October 31st and a community is being invaded, however everyone thinks it’s a hoax. Two kids know the real truth… ” Read the scripts of the writers who were able to meet the challenge.

We had an impressive thirty-one scripts submitted. There were some great debates on what is “Young Adult” fiction and what is a “Hoax”. Did they meet the challenge? You decide. – Don
