Hard Candy script, The Practice transcripts and OTR - post author admin

Hard Candy DVD on SaleApropos current happenings in the US Congress, thanks to anonymous and Horror Lair you can read three-drafts-in-one of Brian Nelson’s Hard Candy (which is now available on DVD). That would be on the movie scripts page.

On the TV Scripts and Transcripts page, thanks to Boston Legal there are transcripts up of The Practice.

And, thanks to M you can read some transcripts from the Golden Age of Radio. As you know, companies sponsored a lot of radio shows. Read Raising Junior sponsored by Wheatena and Forty Fathom Trawlers sponsored by 40 Fathom Fish Company (which later became High Liner Foodservice).

How to eat Fried Worms unproduced script - post author admin

Thanks to “Magnet_Breath” and “John” for the heads up on this unproduced version of How to Eat Fried Worms. John August posted his first paid screenwriting gig – adapting Thomas Rockwell’s novel to the screen. John’s version didn’t make it to the big screen. You can get more on the back story on johnaugust.com. Note: this is not the Bob Dolman version that came out this year. Tottle on over to the Movie Scripts page to read more. – Don

Idiocracy aka Untitled Mike Judge Project aka 3001 script - post author admin

read the idiocracy scriptThis just in from “ScriptChick” and “Beevus”. “Beevus” writes, “…since you can’t see Idiocracy, you can read the script at my fan site Free Idiocracy…”

I never really gave the movie much thought, but after reading the August, 2003 draft of the script, I thought it was brilliant. The plot of the movie is loosely based on a short story by Cyril M. Kornbluth called The Marching Morons. I’m sure the movie, if and when it is available for wider consumption, is going to be much different from the script. As it turns out that the film was released in only a few hundred theatres. Apparently the studio has done nothing to promote the film and won’t release it to a larger audience. Neighter the studio nor Mike Judge have said exactly why. Interestingly enough, thought, there is an amazon.com listing for the dvd, however it isn’t available for purchase. There is an audio review of Idiocracy from NPR called A Paucity of Publicity for ‘Idiocracy’ which sheds a little light on the mystery. – Don

Transformers, again - post author admin

Thanks to “G” for the third heads up on an early draft of Transformers making an appearance on the ‘net, again. Since the script is popping up and coming down so quickly, I’d suggest you just do a Google search on the filename – primedirectivebman02%5b1%5d%5b1%5d.28.06.pdf. That should give you a list of locations, some of which may still be live.

The script was written by John Rogers with revisions by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (in IMDB it has John Rogers as contributing only the story with Alex and Roberto as screenwriters). There is an indirect link on the Movie Scripts Page. – Don

Nosferatu transcript and a few unproduced scripts - post author admin

On the unproduced scripts page there are five new or revised scripts up for your reading pleasure.

On Public Domain Torrents I ran across the movie Nosferatu as a free download (or you can watch it streaming). You can also read an excellent transcript courtesy of Horror Lair.

I’m listening to Shadowmagic by John Lenahan. Shadowmagic is a fun fantasy adventure novel very loosely based on Irish mythology. Conor is a teenager whisked away to Tir na Nog, the mystical land of the ancient Celts. – Don
