Miramax has up two “For Your Consideration” (FYC) screenplays – Doubt and Happy-Go-Lucky. You can check out the screenplays on the Movie Scripts page. I’ve also listed all the FYC screenplays on the ‘net on the 81st Oscar Script page.

These two films from Miramax took me by surprise. Happy-Go_lucky is a comedy about an overly optimistic school teacher.

Doubt is yet another look at the Chatholic church, priests and abuse.

Jeremiah’s (another_punchline) short comedy Jimmy the Degenerate (10 pages in pdf format) has been filmed. This is a 1960’s era propaganda satire on the crippling effects of being a degenerate.

Thanks to Mystery Man on Film for the heads up on another “For Your Consideration” script from Warner Bros – Gran Torino. This is another Clint Eastwood film about a Korean War veteran living in a changing world.

Gran Torino will have a limited US release on December 17th, to make it Oscar eligible, with full release coming January 16. Check out the script over on the Movie Scripts page. – Don
