The One (well, Two) Week Challenge scripts - post author Don

This go around of the One Week Challenge was done a little differently. Usually participants have a week to write a 15 page script on the genre and theme selected. This go around it was a team exercise. Each team had two weeks to come up with a short script (15 pages maximum) based on the genre and theme of science fiction and ‘solving the food shortage.’

The teams were:

GM Miles & Stebrown;
Dreamscale & Stevie;
George Willson & Sandra E;
MBCGirl & Shelton;
The Boy Who Could Fly & Me;
Higgonaitor & Tommy P;
Zack, Nixon & James R.

For the first week or so, fake names are used for the entrants. You can read the submission here. Note: Many of the scripts are very disturbing, so read at your own risk. – Don

    Bailey Road Community Lunch by Robert Weafer

    Bailey Road Community Lunch" is a heartwarming short drama that dives into the lives of a ragtag group of seniors who gather weekly in a worn-down community dining hall. Through sharp wit, poignant moments, and raw humanity, the script explores themes of courage, connection, and acceptance in the face of life's challenges. Anchored by richly drawn characters and authentic dialogue, this story captures the unexpected bonds that can form in the most ordinary settings—celebrating humor, resilience, and the unspoken battles we all face. 17 pages
