Immortal Enemies by Mike Mascarin

(Action, Horror) - New Orleans cop Rene Ledoux's hunt for his nemesis, drug dealer Randel Cruz, ends in tragedy when the men kill each other in a bloody shoot-out. Refusing to accept his death, his partner Henri convinces Rene's fiancée, Nina, to participate in a Voodoo ritual to bring him back. At a crucial moment, Nina stops the resurrection. Too little, too late, Rene returns and because of her actions, so does Cruz. Back from the dead, a crooked cop will seek redemption. A sadistic hood will seek revenge. The Coming is a post apocalyptic vampire tale, in which the "Night Demons" are cast as the ultimate evil/final conflict during Earth's last days. A small band of unlikely heroes must join together to defeat an evil, the likes of which the world has never known. Faith, determination, the will to survive, and preserve the world for future generations draw the characters together. In their fight to defeat a seemingly unbeatable and unstoppable enemy, the true nature and strength of the human spirit rise above the chaos and the destruction. CLIFF, a young man in his early twenties, has lost his parents to the wrath of the Night Demons, and LARA, a woman in her mid twenties, with an unusual psychic ability, has lost her husband and young daughter to them. During Cliff's quest to seek out and destroy the Night Demons, Cliff is joined by a father and son team, who are equally determined (but somewhat unprepared) to wipe out the evil threat. Events from the Bible's Book of Revelations begin to occur, adding to an already suspenseful situation. (fdr)
