REVENANT
By Oney Mendoza

FADE IN:

SILENCE and darkness. The only thing that can be heard is the
sounds of BREATHING.

			MAN(OS)
You do realize that we're questioning your insanity,
right? I'm having a very difficult time understanding
		your story.
			(beat)
I need you once more to explain to me what happened…
		what really happened.
			(beat)
Please, we need you to communicate with us. Tell us
your story…

EXT. NIEGHBORHOOD – NIGHT

THUNDER and Lightening pervade the night's sky. Rain pours down
onto the suburban homes below.

A pair of feet step into a puddle. REBECCA MYLES, 24, travels
down the sidewalk. She is drenched from the heavy rain. She looks
up toward the sky and watches the lightening.

Rebecca walks toward a stunning two-story house. She opens the
door and enters. SLAMMING the door behind her.

Another strike of lightening followed by the roaring sound of
THUNDER. All of the light shinning from within the windows of the
houses become pitch black.

INT. REBECCA'S ROOM

Rebecca enters, SLAMMING the door behind her. She listens to the
powerful STORM outside. She looks around her darkened room. She
rushes toward a dresser.

She angrily throws open a drawer and pulls out a pentagram that
is linked onto a chain. She grips it in her hand and throws
herself to the floor. She starts BANGING on the floorboards.

INT. ART STUDIO

LIZ HARDESTY, 22, looks up at an unusual art piece. She holds a
glass of wine in her hand. She turns and looks around.

She walks past groups of PEOPLE staring at the art that is
exposed on the white walls. She smiles as she sees TREY BENNETT,
24, talking to a TALL MAN. She approaches them.

Trey smiles at her. She listens to their CONVERSATION. Trey
shakes the man's hand.

			TREY
…I'll give you a call tomorrow. We'll discuss some
		kind of contract.

The man leaves. Trey turns to Liz and kisses her. Liz hands him
her glass of wine. He takes a sip.

			LIZ
		Did he make an offer?

			TREY
Yeah. He made an offer on two of my pieces and one of
		James's.

			LIZ
Where is James? I haven't seen him all night. Heather
		isn't here either.

			TREY
He should be here. I've had a lot of offers for some
		of his pieces.

A WOMAN approaches them.

			WOMAN
Mr. Bennett, may I say that you are one of the most
original artists that I've seen in the last five
years.

Trey smiles.

			TREY
Oh, really? That's really kind of you to say.

Liz walks away. She walks toward a group of PEOPLE standing next
to another art piece. She listens to them DISCUSSING it. She
smiles.

She walks over toward a pair of glass windows and peers out. She
watches the rain flood the gutters outside. A pair of hands
reaches out and grabs Liz's back.

Liz jumps and turns around. It's Rebecca. She looks like she's
been crying for hours; mascara runs down her face.

			REBECCA
		You're James Grey's friend, right?

			LIZ
		Yeah –-

			REBECCA
		Where is he?

			LIZ
		He isn't here yet.

Rebecca turns to leave.

			LIZ
		May I ask?

Rebecca turns back to Liz.

			LIZ
Who are you? If I see him I'll tell him you're looking
		for him.

			REBECCA
I'm just someone he's been seeing.

Rebecca hurries off. Liz stares blankly at Rebecca walking off.
Liz turns around; standing behind her is HEATHER KLEIN, 22. She
smiles at Liz.

			HEATHER
Hey! There's a good crowd tonight.

			LIZ
		Yeah…

Liz looks around for Rebecca, no sign of her. She turns to
Heather and takes a drink from her glass.

			HEATHER
Oh my God. I feel so bad because I took like forever
		getting ready.
			(beat)
Oh yeah! Guess who I bumped into, it's so freakin
		weird. Brandon Reid.

			LIZ
		Brandon Reid? Your ex?

			HEATHER
Yeah, I saw him when I was with James, it felt so
		awkward.

			LIZ
Speaking of James, how is your prince charming doing
		tonight?

			HEATHER
He hasn't acted like my prince charming for a while
now, he's acting more like a toad.

Heather LAUGHS. Liz forces herself to LAUGH.

			HEATHER
He's just been into his art for the past few weeks.
		But, I love him.
			(beat)
		I'm his bitch.

Heather LAUGHS. Liz smiles.

			HEATHER
What's the matter? Why are you so quiet? Are you
		pissed or something? Your period?

Heather CHUCKLES.

			LIZ
No. I'm fine. Just…feeling strange right now. I'm
really excited for James and Trey.

			HEATHER
Me too. I hope he sells some pieces; he's spent a lot
of money on paints and shit. We could really see that
money back.
	(beat)
Come on girl, talk. Are you sure you're okay? Having
problems with Trey?

	LIZ
No. We're actually doing well right now.

	HEATHER
You better tell me sooner or later, because I know
when my best friend is having problems.

Heather smiles.

			HEATHER
C'mon, lets go grab us a drink. Lets get drunk
tonight.

Heather and Liz walk off, Heather sees her boyfriend, JAMES GREY,
25, talking to Trey. He smiles at her. A COUPLE suddenly
approaches the men.

James looks around and sees Liz and Heather pouring themselves a
glass of wine. He turns and sees PEOPLE admiring the art.

			HUSBAND
Have you two been in the business long?

			TREY
		No…well, I can't speak for James, but I've just
		started a while back.

			WIFE
Oh, well your very talented and so are you Mr. Grey.

			JAMES
Thank you. It's great that my art is actually getting
		noticed by the public.

			HUSBAND
It's not your art getting noticed and receiving
observations, it's the creator of the art, you, that's
getting the awareness of the public.

	JAMES
Yeah, it honestly feels great that people are
appreciating the art.

	TREY
Truly does feel good to get some good feedback after
we've spent a immense amount of money on the studio.

	WIFE
Well, you two should be very proud of yourselves.

James nods and looks around. His face suddenly drops.

He sees Rebecca standing by a door. She is staring back at him.
He rushes off toward her; reaching her as she takes a long drink
from her glass of wine.

			JAMES
		I told you…we're over.

			REBECCA
You've made me cry for an hour. No one has made me
cry. I've shared things with you that nobody else
knows. You know my secrets.

			JAMES
Rebecca, please stop. I'm with Heather. Just leave.
		That will make everything better.

James turns to leave.

			REBECCA
You know what I can do to you, James.

James stops and turns back to her. He walks back over to her,
staring coldly at her.

			JAMES
I know the shit that you do. Do I believe in it? No.
You're just a weirdo with nothing better to do than
		fuck with me.

			REBECCA
		You'll soon see.
			(beat)
I'll destroy you. I'll ruin your life in so many ways
and you won't see any of it coming.

			JAMES
Just stop it. You're sick. You need extreme help,
		Rebecca.

			REBECCA
You know better than to tamper with me, James.

Liz is watching James and Rebecca talk from a distance. She takes
a drink from her wine. Heather rushes up to her and starts
TALKING.

James stares grimly at Rebecca, waiting for her to speak. She
doesn't.

			JAMES
If you don't leave right now, I'm calling the cops.
Rebecca, this is your last warning.

			REBECCA
You're going to have me arrested?

			JAMES
		Yes, for harassment.

James turns around. Rebecca quickly MUMBLES something under her
BREATH. Before James can walk away, Rebecca reaches out and grabs
the back of his neck.

James jumps. She lets go. He quickly shivers with fear and begins
to BREATH hard. He turns back to see her grinning at him. She
walks away.

James slowly walks back over to Trey, who is drinking a glass of
wine. He is sweating a lot. He falls forward, but Trey quickly
helps him redeem his balance.

Trey looks at him confused. James wipes away perspiration from
his forehead. He turns back toward where Rebecca was, but she is
no longer there.

James continues to BREATH hard. He falls to his knees. Trey SAYS
something to him, but the only sound that James hears is the
sound of his BEATING heart.

James falls flat on his face. His eyes slowly close. Liz and
Heather suddenly rush toward him. They look down at him.

The last thing that James sees is the concerned look on Heather's
face. His eyes close.

FADE TO BLACK

INT. APARTMENT – BEDROOM

James lays motionless on the spacious bed, in the dark. His
BREATHING is very calm. His eyes twitch and then snap open.

He GASPS loudly and jumps off the bed. He YELLS. He runs over to
the light switch and CLICKS on the light. He looks around,
BREATHING very uneven.

He listens to the RAIN hit the window. The ceiling lights
flicker, he looks up at the lamp, the light remains on.

He YELLS again. He stands up against the door. The door suddenly
pushes open, pushing James away. Trey, Liz, and Heather enter.
James turns to them and YELLS like hell.

All of them jump.

			TREY
James! It's us. What the hell is wrong?

James YELLS again. Heather approaches him, but he quickly turns
around and grabs the digital clock from a small table. He
forcefully throws it at them.

Liz swiftly moves out of the way. It SLAMS into the wall. Liz
hurries out of the room.

			HEATHER
		Babe! What is wrong!?

Tears quickly fill James's eyes. The ceiling lights suddenly shut
off. James YELLS. Trey and Heather jump.

Heather approaches James again, he shoves her away. Heather
SCREAMS. She looks back at Trey.

			TREY
We need to get him to the hospital!

Heather turns back to James and sees him CRYING in his arms. He
looks up at Heather and YELLS. Heather BREATHS hard.

			HEATHER
		James. What is the matter?

He YELLS again. Liz stands by the doorway, panicking. She looks
at James YELL directly at her.

			LIZ
		What is happening!?

Trey steps forward toward James. James quickly backs up. He turns
around toward a dresser and rapidly pulls open a drawer.

Trey, Liz, and Heather all try to see what he is doing. Liz
slides her hand in and FLICKS the light switch. Nothing.

			LIZ
		The power must be out.

They turn back to James, only to find him pointing a handgun at
them. They all jump and GASP. He suddenly shoves the gun in his
mouth. They all YELL.

James continues to CRY. Heather rushes toward him. He PULLS the
trigger. Blood and gore fly everywhere. The bullet SHATTERS the
large mirror behind him.

All of them SCREAM. James's body falls to the ground. Heather's
face has spots of blood smeared across her face. She looks down
at James's body and SCREAMS like hell.

Trey moves forward and wraps his hands around Heather's eyes. He
pulls her back. Liz turns and looks away, CRYING. She leaves.

Heather rushes out of the room. Trey SIGHS loudly and looks
depressed. He moves forward and looks down at his best friend's
body.

He quickly turns to his side and VOMITS. THUNDER drowns out every
other sound.

INT. FUNERAL HOME – DAY

PEOPLE stand around, talking very QUIETLY. They glance over at
Heather, who is CRYING down onto a closed casket. Trey approaches
her from behind, looking very miserable. He puts a hand on her
shoulder. She turns to him and wipes away tears.

			TREY
		Hey, how are you doing?

			HEATHER
		I can't be here. It's too depressing. I'm a mess right
		now…God I loved him.

			TREY
He knew that…Believe me, he knew you loved him. He
loved you and treated you like a princess.

Heather speaks, holding back the tears.

			HEATHER
I don't understand why. That haunts me Trey. It truly
does, he killed himself and I know no reason why he
		did it.
			(beat)
I don't even think he knew what he was doing. You know
what I found? When I was cleaning some of his stuff
out? I found an engagement ring, Trey. He was going to
ask me to marry him. But, now…

She begins to CRY. Trey grabs her and hugs her firmly. Liz
approaches them, also teary eyed. She grabs Heather and hugs her.
Heather settles her CRYING.

			LIZ
I'm so sorry sweetie. Talk to me if you want. I've
		always been there for you.

			TREY
		You know we're here, Heather.

			HEATHER
Thanks guys, I just want to be alone. I mean for the
		moment.

			LIZ
		Yeah, we understand.

Trey and Liz walk away. Heather turns back to the casket and
glances at the picture of James atop of the casket. She smiles at
the picture.

			REBECCA(OS)
So soon. So sad. Too bad.

Heather quickly turns around and sees Rebecca walk over toward
her; walking to the casket. She picks up the picture and looks at
it. Heather eyes her suspiciously.

			REBECCA
He wasn't that bad of a human.

			HEATHER
		Excuse me? Who are you?

Rebecca SLAMS the picture down back onto the casket. She turns to
Heather and lightly smiles.

			REBECCA
I'm Rebecca Myles, you're Heather Klein?

			HEATHER
Yes. How do you know that?

			REBECCA
He talked about you a lot.

			HEATHER
		Who James?
			(beat)
May I ask how you knew him?

			REBECCA
		He used to screw me…

Heather's face drops.

			REBECCA(COUNT'D)
You're the damn reason why he broke up with me in the
first place. That's okay…we screwed even when he was
		with you.

Tears fill Heather's eyes. She turns away, but then looks back at
Rebecca, who looks pissed.

			REBECCA
I envy you. You were no good for him, but he still
wanted to be with you. He didn't want me anymore.
That's why I had to make him see and now look where
		he is.
			(beat)
		I'm alive and he's rotting –-

			HEATHER
Shut the fuck up right now.

			REBECCA
		Are you getting angry?

			HEATHER
How could you do this? Why did you have to ruin today?
Why did you have to tell me these things? All these
		things…especially today of all days.

			REBECCA
You had to know what twisted things he was doing
		behind your back.

			HEATHER
Get the fuck out of here!

PEOPLE turn and look over at Rebecca and Heather. Rebecca smiles.
She walks away from Heather and leaves. Heather starts CRYING.

			HEATHER
		I'm sorry…everyone.

Trey and Liz rush over to Heather. She CRIES even louder. Liz
grabs Heather's hand and forces her away from the casket and the
staring PEOPLE.

EXT. FUNERAL HOME

Liz holds Heather in her arms as she CRIES. Trey follows behind.
Heather sits down on the curve.

			TREY
Who was that, Heather? Did she say who she was?

			HEATHER
Rebecca Myles. I don't know who the hell she is. She
was saying that her and James…oh God!

She CRIES hysterically. Liz hugs her.

			LIZ
		I feel guilty now.

Heather pulls away from Liz and wipes away tears. She stops her
CRYING. She looks at Liz with very serious eyes.

			LIZ
Two nights ago when…James killed himself, earlier that
night a woman…her, she asked me if James was here.
When I asked her who she was, she replied "someone who
		he's been seeing.".

			HEATHER
Liz, how come you didn't tell me?

			LIZ
Because I didn't know if it was true. I didn't want
to say anything to you. I mean if it was true, I
		didn't want to hurt you…

Liz begins to CRY.

			LIZ(COUNT'D)
		I don't know…I don't know why I didn't tell you,
		Heather. I'm so sorry.

They all are SILENT.

			TREY
Do you think James killed himself because of her?

			HEATHER
She said she had to make him see.

			LIZ
		What does that mean?

			TREY
So, she made him kill himself? That doesn't make
		sense. I'm lost, I don't understand.

			HEATHER
		I want to understand –-

			LIZ
Maybe we could talk to her? I don't know, its just an
idea. At least we'll understand more of the situation.
			(beat)
I mean we're all disoriented and frightened right now.
We're all under a lot of stress. Hopefully we don't go
into a stage of psychosomatic disorder –-

			HEATHER
Liz, shut up with all your psychology talk! Don't even
try analyze my feelings! Save it for class because I'm
		definitely not in the mood!

			LIZ
		I'm sorry, I didn't realize.

Heather stands up. She turns toward the parking lot. She wipes
away more tears.

			HEATHER
I'm sorry for blowing up at you. I just need to spend
some time alone, I just need to calm down.

INT. LIZ'S CAR

Trey is driving, while Liz sits in the passenger's seat. Rain
begins to splash onto the windshield. Both of them look sad.

			TREY
Why did you have to do that?

			LIZ
I already fill like shit, Trey. Don't rub it in my
face. I said I was sorry, I was just trying to help
		her out.

			TREY
I understand that babe, she's just vulnerable right
now. You think we should invite her over? I don't
think its right for her to be alone, right now.

INT. APARTMENT – BEDROOM

Heather enters and rushes toward the dresser. She pulls out all
of the drawers and tosses them to the floor. She leans down and
looks through a drawer of papers.

She throws useless papers to the side. Tears begin to fill her
eyes. She picks up a little post-it. She SIGHS.

Written on the post-it is "R. Myles", underneath the name is a
phone number. She stands up, grasping the post-it, she walks over
to the cordless phone and DIALS a number.

EXT. SIDEWALK

Heather exits the building, stepping into the rain. She slides on
a jacket, she feels on a bulge in her jacket-pocket. She bumps
into someone and GASPS.

BRANDON REID, 24, stands in front of her. Both of them look
surprised.

			HEATHER
		Brandon, hi.

			BRANDON
Hi, Heather. How're you doing? I read about James in
		the paper.

			HEATHER
His wake was earlier this afternoon. What are you
		doing here, Brandon?

			BRANDON
I was wondering if we could talk, you know? We didn't
end our relationship with any closure and I want some
		closure between us.

			HEATHER
		Now, isn't a great time.

			BRANDON
Please, I really want to talk to you –-

			HEATHER
I have to go. I'm meeting someone at Trey and Liz's
		place. It's really important.

			BRANDON
		Okay, call me.

			HEATHER
		I will.

Heather hugs Brandon, tightly. She lets go and walks over to her
parked car. Brandon watches her drive off.

INT. APARTMENT – LIVING ROOM

Trey and Liz are watching TV. Liz rests her head against Trey's
lap. Both are QUIET.

			TREY
You think we should take her away from here? Take her
		on a vacation or something?

			LIZ
I was just thinking that. It would get her mind off
		everything.

			TREY
		Lets take her camping.

			LIZ
Baby, she hates the woods. She hates anything that
		deals with nature.

KNOCKING is suddenly heard. Liz sits up, while Trey stands up and
walks over to the front door. He pulls it open.

Heather enters. Trey SHUTS the door. Heather looks around,
cautiously.

			HEATHER
		Good, she's not here yet.

			LIZ
		Who's not here?

			HEATHER
Please don't be pissed off, but I invited Rebecca to
		come here.

			TREY
		You serious? Why?

			HEATHER
I didn't want her to come to my apartment and see all
		of James's things.
			(beat)
I just want to ask her a few things. I didn't want to
be alone with her, who knows what she is capable of
		doing.

The doorbell CHIMES. Trey walks over to the door and opens it.
Rebecca stands in the corridor.

			REBECCA
		Heather? She's here?

			TREY
		Yeah, come on in.

Rebecca enters. Trey CLOSES the door. Rebecca looks over at
Heather, who looks frightened.

INT. KITCHEN

All of them are seated at the table. All of them are
uncomfortably SILENT.

			REBECCA
So, why did you want me over here?

			HEATHER
I just want to ask you a couple of things. I want some
		clarification.
			(beat)
How long were you two seeing each other?

			REBECCA
Does it matter? I mean we were seeing each other,
		that's all that matters, right?

			HEATHER
		I don't appreciate how you're treating me. You're the
one who started it, I mean why did you tell me? It was
probably better if I knew nothing about you two.

			REBECCA
I just thought I'd be nice and tell you –-

			HEATHER
		No!

Heather SLAMS her hands on the table. Liz and Trey look at each
other, bewildered.

			HEATHER
Because of you and the shit you've told me I feel I'm
about to have a nervous breakdown and you show no
emotion or any symphony for me! How do you think I
should feel!? Happy!? Relieved that you told me the
		truth!? That's bullshit!

			REBECCA
If you want my opinion, I don't really give a damn
		how you feel.

The doorbell CHIMES again. Trey grabs Liz's arm and they both
stand up and leave the kitchen.

INT. LIVING ROOM

It CHIMES again, Trey and Liz reach the door. Liz pulls open the
door. It's Brandon.

			TREY
		Brandon…

			BRANDON
		How are you guys doing?

			LIZ
Hey, it's been such a long time.

			BRANDON
Is Heather here? She said she would be…

			TREY
		Yeah, come on in.

Brandon enters, he CLOSES the door. Suddenly, we can hear
Heather's YELLING. All of them look toward the kitchen.

INT. KITCHEN

Heather and Rebecca are YELLING at each other. Trey, Liz, and
Brandon enter. Heather suddenly stands up and pulls something out
of her pocket, from her jacket.

It's a handgun, she quickly SHOOTS Rebecca in the head. Rebecca
falls out of her seat, landing on the tiled floor.

Liz SCREAMS. Both Trey and Brandon GASP. Heather realizes what
she's done and drops the gun. She slowly begins to CRY and
SCREAM. Brandon looks over at Heather.

			BRANDON
What the fuck did you do that for!?

			LIZ
Oh my God! There's so much blood!

INT. LIVING ROOM – LATER

Liz and Heather are sitting QUIETLY on the couch. Liz glances
over at the kitchen to see Brandon wrapping Rebecca's body in a
sheet. Blood seeps through it.

Liz GAGS. She turns to Heather, who is in complete shock.

			LIZ
Why did you have to do something like, Heather? You
just made it worse for yourself, do you know that?

			HEATHER
I had to…I just had to.

			LIZ
You didn't have to, but you did it anyways. What's
going to happen next? We're going to jail because
		of you?

			HEATHER
I'm sorry I got you guys involved.

			LIZ
		Sorry doesn't cut it.

Liz stands up and leaves Heather all by herself. Heather begins
to CRY.

			HEATHER
Please, don't leave me! I need you right now! Liz,
		please don't do this!

INT. KITCHEN

Trey is mopping up the blood. Brandon slides Rebecca's covered
body over to the side. Both of them are in complete shock.

			BRANDON
What are we going to do?

			TREY
Dump the body I guess. We have to.

			BRANDON
What happened? I don't understand, who was this girl?
What did she do to Heather?

			TREY
Brandon, now isn't the time to talk about it.

Brandon glances over at Rebecca's covered body. He looks at all
the blood that has soaked into the white sheet. He turns back to
Trey.

Behind Brandon, Rebecca's body suddenly sits up. The sheet begins
to slide off Rebecca slowly, revealing the bullet wound on her
forehead.

Liz enters, she holds her hand around her eyes, purposely
blocking the view of Rebecca's body. In her other hand she grips
a pair of gloves. She walks over to Trey and hands it to him.

Rebecca's body has risen to her feet. The sheet falls to the
ground. Rebecca stands there, with her eyes shut. Blood from the
bullet wound flows down her face, traveling all the way down her
body and landing on the floor.

Rebecca's eyes snap open. She walks toward them.

Liz puts her hand up again, blocking her eyes. She turns around
and walks toward the entrance. Brandon leans down and picks up
the gun that Heather dropped.

Liz continues walking and bumps into someone. She brings down her
hand and SCREAMS like as she sees Rebecca is whom she bumped
into. Trey and Brandon turn around and GASP.

Liz picks up a chair from the kitchen table and swings it at
Rebecca, hitting her. Rebecca falls to the ground, but she is
still moving.

Heather rushes in and sees. She SCREAMS.

They all watch as Rebecca still moves around, trying to stand up.
Trey grabs the handgun from Brandon and SHOOTS at Rebecca.

EXT. ALLEYWAY – NIGHT

Trey pulls open a dumpster lid. All of them look around. Trey
looks inside the dumpster. Rats have infested the inside.

Liz and Heather stand close by. They hear the rats SQUIRMING
around.

			LIZ
		Rats…

			TREY
That's good, hopefully they'll dispose of any
		evidence.

Trey and Brandon lift up the body, which is now covered in the
sheet again. Brandon slips, Heather rushes over and helps them
drop the body into the dumpster.

All of the look around, no one. Trey closes the dumpster. All of
them still look as if they're in shock.

			BRANDON
Does someone want to try to explain what happened back
there? I mean, she was shot in the head. How was she
		still alive?

			TREY
That's a question that can't be answered. Just leave
		it alone.

FADE TO BLACK

INT. APARTMENT – LIVING ROOM

ONE MONTH LATER

Heather is jogging on the treadmill, watching the TV. The news is
on. She watches it. Suddenly, she stops running; staring directly
at the TV with her mouth dropped, she GASPS.

She hops off the treadmill and walks closer to the TV, a very
concerned expression is across her face. She GASPS as a picture
of Rebecca pops up on screen.

…police are taking this case to a further
investigation and are questioning suspects that they
believe might be involved. Once again, the body of
twenty-four year old Rebecca Myles has been found,
this is an inane murder that is leaving all of the
		authorities puzzled.

She grabs the phone and DIALS a number. She waits.

			HEATHER
Brandon if you get this message, I need you to either
call me back, or meet me at my work at six. It's very
		important. Bye.

INT. DINER

A WAITRESS places plates of food in front of Trey and Liz; she
leaves.

			TREY
		So, how are your classes?

			LIZ
Semester is almost done, which is a lot of relief. I
can't wait to get my degree…finally, after so long.
Find anyone interested in the studio?

			TREY
		Just a few offers…

They start eating. Trey looks over at Liz and smiles.

			TREY
Listen, how would you like to get away from everything
		right now?

			LIZ
		Meaning…

			TREY
I was thinking maybe you and I could plan a vacation
to Hawaii or something. We could just spend some time
		together.

			LIZ
This isn't really the perfect time…

			TREY
		Why, is something wrong?

			LIZ
Its just…I want to wait, you know? Until they find her
		body and everything blows over…

			TREY
		I understand babe, don't worry.

Trey glances at his watch.

			TREY
Your class starts in half an hour.

EXT. DINER

Trey and Liz step out of the diner and walk toward Liz's car.
Before they reach it, a car HONKS.

They both look and see Brandon in his Yukon, he rolls down the
window. Trey and Liz walk to the SUV.

			TREY
		Brandon, hey.

			BRANDON
Hey. Did you guys read the paper by chance today?

			TREY
		No, why? What's wrong?

			BRANDON
They found her body, this morning.

			LIZ
		Oh my God…

			TREY
		What're they saying?

			BRANDON
Not much, but the only suspects they have are the
crazies on the streets, they're saying the city is
full of them.

A car appears behind Brandon's and HONKS at him to move.

			TREY
Come by tonight or tomorrow. Bring Heather with you,
		okay? We should talk.

			BRANDON
		Okay, bye guys.

			LIZ
		Bye, Brandon.

Brandon's SUV takes off. Trey and Liz look at each other,
confused. Trey kisses her.

			TREY
I've got to get to the studio, I have to move
		everything into storage.

Liz looks at him, baffled.

			TREY
		Are you okay?

			LIZ
		I'll be fine. Bye, babe.

They kiss.

INT. ART STUDIO

It is lonely and SILENT. Trey walks in, carrying two art pieces
wrapped in a plastic covering. He moves toward a corner and sets
them down next to more art pieces.

Through an open window, a strong blast of wind enters, knocking
over papers. Trey turns around and watches the papers fall slowly
to the ground.

Trey walks over and stores some art in boxes and carefully tapes
the box shut. He stacks a few boxes on top of each other. He
grabs his keys from a nearby table.

He walks slowly toward the entrance doors. He suddenly jumps as a
MAN BANGS on the glass door. Trey opens the door.

			MAN
I understand that this place is up for sale?

EXT. SIDEWALK

Trey walks through the crowded sidewalks of business PEOPLE. He
looks up at the sky, the rain clouds are moving in. He looks at
the jammed pack streets. Cars impatiently HONK at each other.

SOMEONE suddenly walks into him. Trey moves around him and
continues walking. Trey suddenly stops and turns around. He GASPS
and looks very mystified.

Behind him, standing still in the crowds of PEOPLE is Rebecca.
There is no bullet wound. She stares back at Trey. He suddenly
stops in his tracks.

He continues looking at Rebecca, still very confused. Another
PERSON suddenly bumps into him. He turns to see a MAN, walking
around him. Trey quickly turns back to Rebecca, she is still
there. Still staring at Trey.

PEOPLE begin to block his view of her. He tries to look for her,
but he can't see her anymore.

INT. UNIVERSITY – CLASSROOM

The PROFESSOR is standing at the podium, TALKING away. Liz sits
in the first row, listening very carefully. She jots down notes
in a journal.

INT. CORRIDOR

Liz walks down the corridor, shoving books into her backpack. She
drops her pen, she leans down and picks it up.

Liz's face drops. She wildly stares at something. Her face turns
into pure fright. Standing at the end of the corridor is Rebecca,
she quickly turns around and exits through the doors.

Liz rushes down the corridor, exiting the same doors Rebecca did.

EXT. CAMPUS

Liz rushes up concrete steps and looks around. No sign of
Rebecca, only the smiling faces of students. Liz continues to
look around.

From behind Liz, two hands reach out and grab her. Liz SCREAMS
and quickly turns around. Rebecca stands right in front of her!
Liz turns around and runs like hell away from her.

EXT. STREET – DUSK

The sun is slowly setting above the traffic jammed streets. We
focus on a Yukon, Brandon's SUV.

Through the windshield, Brandon sits behind the steering wheel,
bored to death. With all the traffic ahead, he isn't moving. He
digs into his pocket.

INT. YUKON

Brandon pulls out his cell phone. He puts it up to his ear and
listens to Heather's message. He tosses the cell phone to the
passenger's seat. He looks ahead and is surprised that the
traffic is moving forward.

He pushes on the gas pedal and moves forward, he looks to his
side and looks onto the sidewalks. He GASPS.

He sees Rebecca standing on the sidewalk, grinning at him.
Brandon looks confusingly at her. He starts BREATHING hard. She
starts walking along the sidewalk at a slow pace, following
Brandon.

Brandon turns his attention back to the windshield and YELLS. He
slams on the BREAKS.

EXT. STREET

Before coming to a stop, the Yukon SLAMS into a car. Both
vehicles stop. Brandon quickly steps out from his SUV. He looks
very shaken.

He looks over toward the sidewalk, but Rebecca isn't there
anymore. SOMEONE very angrily steps out from the car in front and
approaches Brandon, YELLING at him.

INT. BAR

MUSIC is playing and PEOPLE are dancing, while Heather stands
behind a counter, serving drinks. She takes a shot of Vodka and
downs it.

She continues mixing drinks at a very fast and professional pace.
She glances at her wristwatch. She turns to a WOMAN, also pouring
drinks.

			HEATHER
		I'm taking my break.

Heather slides her apron off and throws it to the ground. She
walks around the counter, walking toward the exit. She pulls a
box of cigarettes out from her back pocket.

EXT. BAR

Heather exits and walks toward the curve and takes a seat. She
lights a cigarette. She looks down the sidewalk and sees
absolutely no one. Night has fallen.

She checks her wristwatch again. She takes another drag from her
cigarette. She looks very impatient at the moment. Raindrops
suddenly begin to fall on her.

Heather takes one last drag from the cigarette and flicks it in
the street. She stands up and walks back inside.

INT. BAR

Heather walks past a group of drunken PEOPLE. She glances at her
wristwatch again as she moves towards a table. She takes a seat.

She still looks very frightened and anxious. She pulls her cell
phone out from her pocket and DIALS a number. No answer. She
agitatedly tosses the cell phone onto the table.

To the side of Heather, PEOPLE begin to dance to another song.
She rests her shoulders against the table, knocking her cell
phone to the floor. She leans over to pick it up.

While leaning over, emerging from the crowds of dancing people is
Rebecca, looking over at Heather. She moves a few steps closer
toward the table.

Heather picks up the cell phone and sets it on the table. She
looks to her side and finally notices Rebecca. Heather's face
drops and turns into sheer terror. She stands up from the table,
not taking her eyes off Rebecca.

Rebecca continues to look at Heather with a very disgusted look
on her face. Heather takes a step closer toward Rebecca; she
remains still.

			BRANDON(OS)
		Hey!

Heather SCREAMS and turns around. It's Brandon. She quickly turns
back and sees Rebecca is gone. Heather pulls on Brandon's shirt
and leads him into a corridor.

INT. CORRIDOR

A lot more SILENCE, but less spacious; Heather and Brandon walk
toward the end of the corridor. Both look a little scared.
Heather grabs Brandon and hugs him.

			BRANDON
		What's the matter?

			HEATHER
		Nothing…

			BRANDON
You look hella scared. Did something happen?

			HEATHER
		Yeah…they found her body –-

			BRANDON
I know I read it in the paper. I tried to call your
cell, but I couldn't get through. I've already told
		Trey and Liz.

			HEATHER
I need to talk to all three of you. It's…just strange.

			BRANDON
How about after work we go see Trey and Liz? You could
tell us because I need to tell you guys something too.

			HEATHER
Yeah. I need to get back to work, my break ended
		a while ago.

INT. APARTMENT – LIVING ROOM

Liz enters and closes the door. She looks around, pitch black.
She FLICKS on a switch and the room lights up.

She throws her backpack and purse on the couch, along with her
drenched jacket. Something DROPS to the floor. Liz looks to her
side and moves toward a closed door.

INT. ROOM

Trey is sitting on a stool, painting on a board. The door opens
and Liz steps in. He turns to her and throws the paintbrush down.
Liz walks over to him and kisses him.

			TREY
Before you tell me that it was just my imagination, I
need you to listen to me. Maybe you can help me
		understand something.

Liz pulls up another stool next to Trey.

			LIZ
		What? What happened, Trey?

			TREY
Well, after I had a meeting with someone who was
interested in the studio, I was walking down the
sidewalk, coming home…Liz, I saw Rebecca.
			(beat)
		I wasn't daydreaming…I don't daydream.

			LIZ
You're not lying to me, are you?

			TREY
		No, why?

			LIZ
I saw her too. After one of my classes, I was in the
hallway and…she was there, staring at me. I thought I
was just seeing things. I've been tense for the last
		few weeks.

			TREY
This is too weird. I don't understand –-

			LIZ
Maybe we both shared a common illusion of her? My
		Professor says it is possible.

			TREY
I've just been very stressed today.

			LIZ
Don't be baby. We just…saw it in our head. That's the
		only realistic scenario there is.
			(beat)
As much as I hate to say it, she's dead, we killed
		her.

Trey grabs her and kisses her. They stand up and shove the stools
out of the way. They continue kissing romantically. Trey slides
off Liz's sweater, exposing her bra underneath.

Trey kisses her neck while Liz enjoys it. He moves down to the
top of her chest; Liz MOANS with pleasure. Liz slides off Trey's
shirt as they slowly move toward the floor, still kissing in a
very sexual manner.

INT. BEDROOM – LATER

Trey and Liz lay on the bed, underneath the sheets. Both lay
asleep. Rebecca stands at the foot of the bed, staring angrily
down at them.

Trey rolls onto his side, but the sounds of FOOTSTEPS make his
eyes snap open. He quickly sits up and looks around. No one. He
listens, no more footsteps, just pure SILENCE.

He looks over at Liz, who is peacefully sleeping. He looks over
toward the open bedroom door. He GASPS as a blurred FIGURE stands
at the end of the hallway.

Trey squints his eyes and hops off the bed. He walks toward the
bedroom door and peers out into the hallway. No one.

INT. HALLWAY

Trey slowly enters and looks around. No one. He listens, only
SILENCE. He passes a closed door and hears a loud THUD from
inside. Trey stops and turns around.

Reaching the door, Trey grips the doorknob and pushes it open. He
looks inside the darkened room. Nothing. Trey reaches his hand in
and CLICKS on the light. No one, only an open window.

INT. ROOM

Trey quickly walks over toward the window and SLAMS the window
shut. He looks around and without hesitation, he walks back
toward the door.

He CLICKS off the light and is ready to leave –-

			VOICE(OS)
		Trey…

Trey quickly CLICKS on the light and looks around. No one. He
turns around and leaves the room.

INT. BEDROOM

Trey enters and SLAMS the door, shut. He quickly locks the door.
He turns to see Liz, sitting up. She looks at him, baffled.

			LIZ
That's the first, I've ever seen you lock our bedroom
		door.

She smiles.

			LIZ(COUNT'D)
Where were you? I called you.

			TREY
		That was you?

			LIZ
Yeah, it was me. Who else would it be?

Trey walks over toward the bed and lays back down. Liz rolls onto
her side and holds Trey's hand.

			LIZ
		Are you okay?

			TREY
Fine. I just had to go close a window I left open.

Liz rests her head against his chest, closing her eyes. Trey
stares at the ceiling, thinking.

INT. GARAGE – DAY

Brandon is working on his SUV, attaching a new headlight. Trey
appears at the open garage door. He walks in.

			TREY
		Brandon…

Trey walks over toward the front of the SUV. Brandon gently puts
his tools down on the floor. He stands up.

			BRANDON
Hey, what's up? What're you doing here?

Trey looks at the damaged area on the SUV.

			TREY
		Oh damn, what happened?

			BRANDON
Just a little accident yesterday afternoon. Taking it
		to the shop later today.
(beat)
		So…

			TREY
Oh, I wanted to ask you something about Rebecca.

			BRANDON
		What?

			TREY
I've been meaning to ask you something…

Brandon nods.

			TREY(COUNT'D)
…and I was just really curious if you've told anyone?
		Have you kept everything quiet?

			BRANDON
Dude, you think I would tell? I wouldn't do that…I
		wouldn't risk getting caught.

			TREY
Well, thank you for that. I appreciate that, we all
do. I'm so sorry that we got you involved in the first
		place.
			(beat)
Liz and I want to invite you over tonight for dinner.
Heather is coming, she needed to speak to us anyways.
		Will you come?

			BRANDON
Yeah…I need to tell you guys something also.

EXT. APRTMENT BUILDING – NIGHT

Night has fallen again. The sky is clear with bright starts and a
full moon. Trees sway in the light breeze.

Through a window on the fourth floor, we can see Trey, Liz,
Heather, and Brandon sitting at a table, eating.

INT. APARTMENT – KITCHEN

All of them are done eating. Heather takes a long drink from her
glass. Brandon smiles at Liz.

			BRANDON
		That was really good, Liz.

			LIZ
Thank you. Heather, are you okay?

			HEATHER
What? Fine, it was really good. Thank you for having
		me over for dinner.

Heather smiles.

			BRANDON
Liz, I wanted to ask you a question that I think you
		might know.
			(beat)
Can guilt or depression…or even stress cause the mind
		to see things?

			LIZ
		Do you mean nightmares?

			BRANDON
Not really, I've been seeing…weird things during the
		day.

			LIZ
If you're suffering from major depression, your mind
goes into a stage where you can begin to see objects,
it can either be a delusion or hallucination –-

			HEATHER
		Brandon, what are you seeing?

			BRANDON
This is going to sound extremely dumb and immature to
you guys, but I saw Rebecca.

Heather stares at him, confused. Brandon turns to see Trey and
Liz, both have the same expression across their faces as Heather.

			HEATHER
		I also saw her…when I was at work. I thought I was
		daydreaming –-

			LIZ
I saw her. I saw her when I was at school, she was in
the hallway and then I saw her outside on campus…she
		was standing behind him.

			BRANDON
		What does this mean?

Liz turns to Trey.

			LIZ
Baby, didn't you see her also?

			TREY
		Yeah, outside the studio –-

			HEATHER
How is that possible? All of us saw her? Isn't that
a little weird to any of you?

			TREY
Is it possible that we all shared a same delusion?

			LIZ
Yeah…I mean it rarely happens…but it has happened
		before.
			(beat)
We're all completely stressed out, that's it. I mean
that's the only other solution that sounds rational.

			BRANDON
What if we're all going crazy?

			LIZ
Don't jump to conclusions. We're not insane, we're
		very much sane.

			BRANDON
Well, I don't think that it was likely for all of us
to have seen her because we're stressed out.

			HEATHER
		Maybe she's still alive…

			LIZ
No. That isn't possible. We saw her die, we…dumped the
body, she's dead. Rebecca Myles is dead. What are you
guys thinking? People die and return from the dead?
No, that doesn't happen…at least not in the world I
		live in.

			HEATHER
I have been very stressed out and when I heard about
Rebecca's body being found I even got more stressed
		out.

			LIZ
See? It's all mental. It's all in the head. Anyone
else what to acknowledge that it could be just stress?

			TREY
I guess I've been stressed out. I've been trying to
		sell the studio.

			LIZ
I've also been under a lot of stress. I've got a
thesis paper due. Exams are coming up…I got this job
		interview at a clinic.
			(beat)
		Brandon, what about you?

			BRANDON
Yeah, I've feeling really guilty about Rebecca, just
lately though. I mean, I feel terrified of getting
caught. Huh…I lost my job at the shop.

			LIZ
We're all just really stressed out and even depressed
over the guilt of Rebecca's death. We're not crazy,
we're not even close to being crazy. We need to watch
		out for each other.

			HEATHER
I used to think that the psychology bullshit you were
learning was idiotic and a waste of time. I never
dreamed it would help me out.

INT. LIVING ROOM – LATER

Heather stands in the doorway, putting a jacket on. Liz grabs her
and hugs her. Brandon and Trey are on the couch, TALKING.

She opens the front door. She turns back to them.

			HEATHER
		Bye, guys.

INT. CORRIDOR

Heather walks down the dim lighted corridor. She walks down
toward the elevator at the end of the long corridor. She reaches
it and pushes a button.

She waits. The elevator DINGS as the doors start to slide open.
As they open, Heather GASPS.

In the elevator, staring back at Heather is Rebecca. Rebecca's
hands suddenly reach out and try to grab Heather. Heather SCREAMS
and quickly runs away.

Rebecca steps out from the elevator and follows Heather. Heather
rushes back towards Trey and Liz's apartment at the end of the
corridor.

Heather looks back and SCREAMS at the sight of Rebecca, very
close behind. Heather continues running and finally reaches the
apartment door. She quickly starts POUNDING on the door.

Heather looks back as Rebecca's hands grip around her neck. The
door is suddenly pulled open. Liz stands in the doorway and sees
Rebecca strangling Heather. Liz SCREAMS.

Rebecca lets go of Heather and looks over at Liz. Heather rushes
in and SLAMS the door.

INT. APARTMENT – LIVING ROOM

Heather quickly locks the door. Brandon and Trey rush over. The
girls look very frightened and the guys look very confused.

			TREY
		What the hell is wrong?

			HEATHER
		She's out there!

			BRANDON
		Who!?

			LIZ
Rebecca! I saw her, it's her!

Loud POUNDING can be heard right outside the door. It continues,
each POUND become more intense and louder. All of them look over
at the door, scared to death.

Trey grabs a fire poker and moves in front of the door, while Liz
opens a closet and pulls out a bat. She joins Trey.

The POUNDING continues, Heather and Brandon move back against the
wall. Trey and Liz move forward, raising their weapons high in
the air.

Trey pulls open the door and both of them swing, hitting air.
They stop and look outside into the corridor. No one. Rebecca is
nowhere in sight.

Trey steps out into the corridor. Liz hesitates. Brandon grabs
the bat from Liz and follows Trey. The girls stay behind, close
together.

INT. CORRIDOR

Trey and Brandon quietly walk down the corridor. No one is in
sight. Suddenly a door swings open, the men jump and turn around.
They see a NEIGHBOR entering the corridor, wearing only a robe.

			NEIGHBOR
You people are making a lot of noise. Is something
		wrong?

			TREY
		No…

			BRANDON
Sorry about that. We'll keep it down.

The neighbor YAWNS and walks back inside his apartment. Trey and
Brandon go back inside.

INT. APARTMENT – LIVING ROOM

Trey tosses the fire poker down. Brandon lays the bat against the
door. All of them still look frightened.

			HEATHER
		Did you see her?

			TREY
There was no one…she wasn't there.

			LIZ
		I saw her…Heather and I saw her.

			HEATHER
She had me by the throat damnit!
			(beat)
You still believe that we're just stressed out, Liz?
Cause she seemed pretty fucking real to me.

			LIZ
		But, she's dead…

			TREY
		They found her body.

			BRANDON
Than if that wasn't her pounding at the door, who was
		it?

			LIZ
I don't know! Just stop it!
			(beat)
I just need to think all of this through. I need to
		clear my mind…

Brandon grabs his jacket from a coat rack, he moves toward the
door. He turns back to them.

			BRANDON
I need to leave. Being here, hearing all these
theories is just making me really question my
		insanity.

			HEATHER
Take me home, please. I don't want to leave alone.

			TREY
We'll talk to you guys tomorrow, okay?

INT. UNIVERSITY – CLASSROOM - DAY

The professor finishes talking. Liz raises her hand, he quickly
notices her.

			PROFESSOR
		Yes, Miss Hardesty?

			LIZ
From what I know, more than one person can suffer from
the same delusion or hallucination, right?

			PROFESSOR
Sure, but not by coincidence. The only way to "share"
a similar delusion is only by either if the persons
experience a traumatic experience together…or shared
		disturbing conversations with each other.

			LIZ
Hallucinations, what else can cause them?

			PROFESSOR
A severe medical illness, fever, drugs, delirium,
		schizophrenia, and psychotic depression.
			(beat)
This is very interesting, why did you bring it up?

Liz opens her mouth, but hesitates.

			LIZ
Truthfully…I think I might be suffering from
		hallucinations, caused by –-

The professor nods.

			PROFESSOR
		Post-traumatic stress?

			LIZ
		Yes. Hopefully it's just a short-term condition, but I
think it may be developing into a more serious
		condition.

			PROFESSOR
May I ask what caused the trigger of your stress?

			LIZ
I rather not talk about it –-

			PROFESSOR
You should, it might resolve and help you understand
your delusions and hallucinations. Proving yourself
		also.

			LIZ
		Proving myself?

			PROFESSOR
You could find a way to prove yourself wrong about the
delusions. You could take medication prescribed from
a doctor, like Prozac or something.

INT. LIBRARY

Trey sits at a table, turning pages through books. He closes the
book and pulls another one closer to him.

INSERT – BOOK

		"PSYCHOTIC DEPRESSION AND SURVIVOR'S GUILT"

He opens the book and looks through out. He begins to read it.

			REBBECA(OS)
		Trey, I'm watching you…

Trey looks up and looks around. No one, just a lot of elderly
PEOPLE. He looks back down at the book and closes it.

			REBECCA(OS)
		Trey! Look at me!

Trey looks up and sees Rebecca standing in front of the table.
Trey quickly jumps out of his seat and runs away. He stops by a
isle of bookshelves.

He looks back, she isn't there anymore. Suddenly, hands reach out
through the cracks of bookshelves and grab Trey. Trey YELLS and
turns around.

Behind the bookshelf is Rebecca. Trey turns and runs down the
isle.

EXT. LIBRARY

Without looking back, Trey rushes down the stone steps of the
library, he quickly pulls on a helmet and grabs a pair of keys
out from his pocket.

He hops on his Kawasaki ninja bike that's parked on the curve. He
starts it up and hauls ass away from the library.

EXT. HOUSE

Brandon's Yukon comes to a stop in front of Rebecca's house. The
passenger's door opens, it's Heather. She looks at the house and
SIGHS. Brandon steps out from the driver's side and walks over
toward the sidewalk with Heather.

They look up at the house. Finally, they walk towards the front
door. They reach it and look at each other, nervously. Brandon
KNOCKS on the door.

It opens, a WOMAN stands in the doorway. Rebecca's Mom.

			MRS. MYLES
		Yes?

			BRANDON
Mrs. Myles? Hi, huh…I'm Brandon Reid and this is
Heather Klein, we were close to Rebecca. We just
wanted to ask you a question, if you don't mind.

			MRS. MYLES
		Sure…

			BRANDON
We recently found out that her body was found and we
just wanted to know where she is buried, so that we
		can go pay our respects.

			MRS. MYLES
		Golden Hill's cemetery –-

			HEATHER
		So, she is dead?

			MRS. MYLES
		Excuse me? What?

Brandon flashes Heather an angered look.

			HEATHER
Don't mind me, I'm sorry. Thank you Mrs. Myles, take
		care.

Brandon grabs Heather's hand and quickly walks away. Mrs. Myles
closes the door.

Brandon and Heather stop at the sidewalk. He looks at her pure
anger. He looks back at the house and sees Mrs. Myles looking at
them from a window.

			BRANDON
What the hell? "So, she is dead?", what kind of shit
		is that?

			 HEATHER
I don't know…I just really thought that she was still
		alive.

			BRANDON
Well, she's not. She's buried six feet under.

			HEATHER
How do we know that it's her body down there? We don't
know, it could be another body.

			BRANDON
Don't give me that bullshit, she's dead. I don't want
to think that people come back after they've died.
She's not alive. Just accept that.

			HEATHER
No! I don't want to believe that I'm going crazy. I am
		not crazy. We're not crazy!

			BRANDON
Well, what do you want? Proof that she's dead –-

			HEATHER
Yeah and don't give me that shit saying you wouldn't,
because I know for a damn well fact that you want some
		kind of proof also!

They get SILENT. Brandon SLAMS his arms down on the hood of his
SUV. He thinks and then suddenly looks back at Heather and smiles
grimly.

			BRANDON
Okay, we're going to get some proof, tonight.

			HEATHER
		What are you talking about?

EXT. ROAD – NIGHT

Quiet and very dark. Brandon's Yukon suddenly ROARS down the
empty road. The night's sky shines brightly, the moon slowly
begins to be covered by a cloud.

INT. YUKON

Brandon is driving, while Trey rides shotgun. In the backseats
are Liz and Heather. There is a very irritating SILENCE between
them.

Liz rolls her eyes.

			LIZ
You and Trey couldn't do this by yourself? Why'd you
		have to drag me along?

			BRANDON
We're all going to see the truth.

			TREY
Liz, didn't you tell me that? That if we face the
		truth the delusions will stop?

			LIZ
What if we're actually not having delusions.
			(beat)
Now, we're risking our lives once again to do what?
Dig up a body. I'm I the only one who thinks this is
		morally wrong?

No one responds.

			TREY
Look, we'll do it quick. I'll be like we were never
there. You don't have to look if you don't want to.

			HEATHER
What if her body is actually there? Then what?

			BRANDON
There is no possible way that it's her down there. I'm
		positive.
			(beat)
I'll tell you what will happen if she's down there. I
will check myself into a mental institution. That's
how positive I am of her being alive.

Trey looks out through the windshield, in the darkness he can see
a cemetery approaching. He looks back at Liz and Heather, who
also notice the cemetery.

EXT. CEMETERY

Trey slides on a jacket. Brandon hands him a shovel, they begin
to walk down isles of gravestones. Trey looks back and sees Liz
and Heather sitting inside the parked SUV on the road.

			TREY
How do we know where she's buried?

			BRANDON
Keep following. The new burial sights are over here.

They continue walking toward a lot more graves. Brandon starts
eying each grave and continues down the isle until he reaches a
gravestone at the end.

Trey and Brandon look down at Rebecca's grave.

Brandon looks at Trey and then looks back down at the grave. He
shovels the ground. Trey quickly joins him. They tare the top
layer of grass and dirt.

INT. YUKON

Liz puts on her sweater while Heather shivers with coldness, she
then puts on a beanie.

			HEATHER
		How long you give them?

			LIZ
Two-hours at the most. I just want to go home, I don't
want…I don't need to be here.

			HEATHER
Do you hold me responsible for everything that has
		happened?

			LIZ
Truthfully…yes. But, I've been your friend for eight
years and I've always been by your side and helped you
		through problems. I wasn't going to stop…

			HEATHER
I wish I could take back everything that I've done. I
mean you don't know how much guilty I feel for ruining
your lives.

			LIZ
At least we're alive, right? I mean this is just a bad
time in our life. It'll get better.

			HEATHER
Right now I feel it can't get any worse. But, I'm just
lying to myself, it can always get worse.

			LIZ
It's unhealthy to think negative. Nothing is going to
		get worse.
			(beat)
Can we change the subject now?

			HEATHER
Yeah…I don't know what to say.

			LIZ
Huh…what's the deal between you and Brandon? On again?

			HEATHER
		I don't know. I mean I really like him, but it's just
bad timing. I think he wants to get back together –-

Liz reaches out and grabs Heather, hugging her tightly. Heather
hugs back. Tears flow down from Heather's eyes.

INT. YUKON – LATER

Trey can be seen approaching the SUV. He walks over to the
passenger's seat and pulls open the door. He's dirty and sweaty.

In the backseats, Liz's head is rested up against the window,
she's sleeping. Heather has her head rested back on the seat,
also sleeping. Liz opens her eyes, very tiredly.

Trey grabs a crowbar from beneath the seat. He looks back at Liz,
who is YAWNING.

			TREY
		Hey. We're done.

			LIZ
		What? –-

She glances at her watch.

			LIZ(COUNT'D)
Oh my God. It's one hour before dawn.

			TREY
We're almost done…we need to crack the casket open and
		check.

Trey kisses Liz and leaves. Liz shakes Heather awakening her.
Heather's eyes snap open.

EXT. CEMETERY

Trey reaches Brandon, who is equally as sweaty and dirty as Trey.
Brandon looks down at the casket in a reasonably sized pit. Trey
hops down into the hole.

INT. YUKON

Liz can roughly see Brandon staring down into the hole. Heather
forcefully tries to keep her eyes from closing. Suddenly, they
hear a BANGING sound coming from behind the SUV.

Both Liz and Heather quickly look behind them and see no one.
They jump as they hear another BANG. Both girls begin to BREATH
hard.

Another BANG, they look at each other and suddenly rush towards
the doors and hop out of the Yukon.

EXT. CEMETERY

The girls rush down the gravestones. Liz grabs Heather's arm and
both of them turn and look at the Yukon. No one.

They begin to BREATH hard, almost hyperventilating. The sounds of
RUSTLING bushes make the girls GASPS and turn their heads to the
side.

They hold each other as the bushes continue shaking. They turn
around and SCREAM. Brandon stands behind them.

			BRANDON
		What's the matter?

			HEATHER
		Look…the bushes.

They all turn back to the bushes, no more movement. Brandon looks
confused. Suddenly, the bushes start to shake again.

EXT. PIT

Down in the pit, Trey is trying to pry open the casket with a
crowbar and the shovel. He struggles, but the sound of something
CRACKING makes his eyes light up.

He puts the shovel and the crowbar to the side. He grabs the edge
of the casket's lid and struggles to open it.

EXT. CEMETERY

Liz, Heather, and Brandon are still looking at the bushes
shaking. Brandon steps forward, walking towards the bushes.

EXT. PIT

Trey slides the top of the lid off and slowly peers inside. His
face turns into peer disgust.

Inside the casket, are Rebecca's remains. He monitors the skull;
a small hole is on the forehead, the bullet wound. He turns away
from the casket and takes in fresh air.

EXT. CEMETERY

As Brandon reaches the bushes, they stop shaking. He turns back
to Liz and Heather and walk back toward them. All of them look
very scared and confused.

EXT. PIT

Trey still has his head turned away from the casket, not wanting
to look.

			TREY
		Brandon…guys. Come here.

Brandon, Liz, and Heather appear, standing over the edge, peering
down. All of their faces drop as Liz and Heather begin to SCREAM.
Trey turns his head towards the casket and suddenly jumps with
fright.

Lying inside the casket is Rebecca! Not skeleton, but Rebecca in
the flesh. She grins at Trey and suddenly sits up upward,
grabbing Trey's neck. She begins to choke him.

Trey grabs the shovel from the ground, picks it up, and swings it
at Rebecca, hitting her in the face. She lets go of Trey and he
quickly climbs out of the pit.

EXT. CEMETERY

Brandon and Liz help Trey stand up. Heather starts running
towards the Yukon, SCREAMING. Without looking back, Trey, Liz,
and Brandon run to the Yukon.

INT. YUKON

Everyone enters, SLAMMING and locking their doors. Brandon
quickly shoves the keys into the ignition. Trey whips around and
peers through the back window.

			TREY
		She's coming…

The engine ROARS alive and Brandon slams his foot on the gas. Liz
and Heather turn around and look out the windows. They GASP.

EXT. HIGHWAY

The Yukon travels fast down a highway, passing up other vehicles.
Over the hills, the sun can be seen rising.

INT. YUKON

Heather rolls down the window and BREATHS in air. Everyone else
is speechless; all look shocked.

			BRANDON
		We are going crazy.

			TREY
Can anyone explain what the hell happened back there!?
		What is she!?

			HEATHER
Is she like a ghost or something?

			TREY
Liz, what the hell is going on!?

			LIZ
		I don't fucking know!
			(beat)
Something wrong is happening to us. Something
		unordinary. Something…evil.

Heather begins to CRY. Liz wraps her arms around her.

Brandon sees something on the driver's window, Rebecca's
reflection. Brandon GASPS. Trey, Liz, and Heather all turn
towards Brandon.

Unnoticed, Brandon begins to slide the steering wheel to the left
side. His attention seized by the sight of Rebecca's reflection.

Brandon turns his attention back to the road and suddenly YELLS.
All of them turn back towards the windshield. The sounds of a car
HONKING rip through the silence.

Brandon SLAMS his foot of the break and swiftly turns to the
steering wheel.

EXT. HIGHWAY

The Yukon is on the opposite lane. It begins to emerge onto the
right, almost hitting the other car. Too late, the opposing car
SLAMS into the Yukon.

The Yukon spins out of control. Through the windshield we see
Brandon trying to take control, but is failing. The Yukon spins
off road and then ultimately, it flips onto its side.

The Yukon rolls four times down the hill, debris and glass fly
everywhere! It finally comes to a stop, upside down.

Everything goes SILENT.

Through the shattered window, we can see Trey lift his head up.
Cuts are across his face and his nose is bleeding. He looks
around and suddenly starts to YELL.

INT. HOSPITAL – CORRIDOR

Four hospital beds are being wheeled down the long, white
corridor. Trey, Liz, Heather, and Brandon all lay unconscious.

Trey's eyes snap open. He quickly sits up, very alarmed. He GASPS
for air. But, NURSES hold him down.

INT. HOSPITAL ROOM – DAY

Liz's eyes open, only to reveal Trey sitting in front of her. His
face and neck are slightly bruised from cuts. He forces a smile.
He stands up and approaches her; he walks with a limp.

Liz sits up, ACHING with pain. She has a minor cut on her face,
but more on her neck. Trey grabs her, hugs and kisses her.

			TREY
		Are you okay?

			LIZ
		Very soar. How about you?

			TREY
I dislocated my ankle. But, I'll be fine…

			LIZ
		Heather? Brandon? Where are they?

			TREY
Brandon is okay; he's just been released. But, he's
with Heather's parents…they're talking to her doctor.

			LIZ
		Why, what's wrong with her?

			TREY
She's in a coma. During the accident, she suffered
from a serious blow to the head. She's been
hemorrhaging.

			LIZ
		Is it serious?

			TREY
		She's been on close watch.

INT. HOSPITAL ROOM

Heather lays asleep on the bed. Her BREATHING is disturbingly
shallow. Her upper shoulder is bandaged up and there are cuts on
her face, but mainly her neck. She is sadly hooked up to
monitors.

Heather's PARENTS stand in the doorway, looking extremely upset.
A DOCTOR appears behind them and they leave with the doctor.
Brandon enters.

He is wearing a splint on four of his fingers and his arms are
covered in scratches and bruises. He walks over to Heather and
looks down onto her.

He leans down and kisses the top of Heather's forehead. He turns
around and leaves.

A monitor starts BEEPING. Heather's eyes open, she quickly sits
up. She looks very dazed and confused. She looks over towards the
doorway and sees Brandon appear.

He looks down the corridor and CALLS for help. He turns back
towards Heather and takes a step forward. But, before he enters
the room, the door SLAMS shut and we hear it LOCKING.

			BRANDON(OS)
Heather!? What the hell? What's happened?

The monitor suddenly stops BEEPING. Heather glances at it, very
confused. She starts to climb out of bed, revealing Rebecca on
the other side of the bed.

She grabs Heather's arm. Heather turns around and SCREAMS.
Rebecca pulls out the IV from Heather's wrist! Heather SCREAMS in
pain as she falls to the ground.

Heather tries to stand herself up. She looks up and sees Rebecca
standing above her, she reaches for Heather, pulling out her
heart monitor patch.

We hear BANGING on the door.

			BRANDON(OS)
Heather! What the hell is wrong! Heather!

Heather starts CRYING and SCREAMING. She stands up and walks to
the door as fast as she can. She tries to pull open the door.
It's locked. She POUNDS on the door.

			BRANDON(OS)
		Heather! Open the door!

INT. CORRIDOR

Brandon looks down the corridor and spots some NURSES. He YELLS
for them to come over. They rush over towards him.

They listen to Heather's SCREAMS and CRIES of pain.

INT. HOSPITAL ROOM

Heather turns around and sees Rebecca approaching her. Heather
slumps to the floor, CRYING intensely.

			HEATHER
		This isn't real…you're dead.

Rebecca reaches her, standing directly in front of her. Heather
CRIES into her arms.

			HEATHER
Leave me alone…I'm sorry! Please stop!

Rebecca forcefully grabs Heather and forces her up against the
door. Rebecca looks devilish toward Heather.

INT. CORRIDOR

The nurses and Brandon are still trying to open the door. A nurse
looks down the corridor and HOLLERS for a guard.

Brandon is very panicky and becomes frightened as Heather's CRIES
become more loud. He puts his face up to the door, trying to be
very calm.

			BRANDON
Heather, sweetheart, please try to open the door.
			(beat)
		Heather, please answer me.

INT. HOSPITAL ROOM

Rebecca lets go of Heather and lets her fall to the floor.
Heather slowly stands up, shielding herself.

			HEATHER
		Brandon…help –-

			REBECCA
Want to see what James saw?

Heather begins to GASP for air.

			HEATHER
		Please, don't do anything –-

Rebecca reaches out and grabs Heather's throat. Heather SCREAMS
and her vision becomes blurry. Rebecca shoves her to the tiled
floor.

Heather suddenly shivers like crazy, but then suddenly stops. She
jumps to her feet and looks around. Rebecca is nowhere in sight.
She quickly turns around and tries to pull open the door, it
still won't open.

She turns around and sees a dark FIGURE standing in the dark
corner. She YELLS. Heather quickly picks up a stool. She stares
at the featureless figure. It suddenly charges at her.

Heather strongly throws the stool at the figure, it suddenly
disappears, but the stool shatters the tall window on the other
side of the room.

A thick wind suddenly enters.

INT. CORRIDOR

A GUARD rushes down the corridor, DANGLING a pair of keys. He
walks over towards Brandon and the nurses.

INT. HOSPITAL ROOM

The room quickly feels with a darkness. Heather GASPS and grabs
another stool by the door. She grips it tight.

Something grabs her and she turns around, it's a dark FIGURE!
Heather swings the stool. She glances over her shoulder and sees
three more FIGURES standing around the room.

She backs up into a corner, SCREAMING like hell.

			HEATHER
		Get away!
			(beat)
		Someone, please help me!

INT. CORRIDOR

The guard pushes the door open. Brandon rushes towards the
doorway and GASPS. Heather is swinging a stool, hitting air.
There is no darkness, but a heavy wind. He enters.

INT. HOSPITAL ROOM

He starts walking towards her. Heather turns to him and swings at
him, but misses. She SCREAMS.

			BRANDON
		Heather! What the hell!?

Heather looks around and sees the darkness getting darker, a
FIGURE is in front of her, she swings again –-

Almost hitting Brandon, she doesn't realize it.

			BRANDON
		Heather! Please, stop!

Heather continues swinging the stool and backs up toward the
window. She swings like crazy at the figures. She stands in front
of the shattered window, she starts CRYING.

Brandon is trying to approach her, she is looking down towards
the floor, CRYING. She looks up, very frightened. She SCREAMS and
swings at Brandon.

She backs up and trips over the bottom frame of the window! She
falls backwards, falling out of the building! Brandon dives for
her, but hits the floor. He YELLS like crazy.

We hear Heather's SCREAMS get further and further away. They
depressingly stop.

Brandon CRIES like crazy. He starts walking towards the shattered
window, but the guard holds him back. Brandon breaks away from
him and looks out of the window.

Five floors below is the splattered body of Heather; blood oozing
out onto the sidewalk. Brandon turns around, nonstop CRYING, he
collapses to the floor.

INT. LIZ'S CAR

In the backseat, Brandon has his head slumped up against the
window, he is strangely quiet. His eyes bloodshot and soar. He
closes his eyes as a flash of Heather's body creeps into his
mind.

Liz is riding in the front seat, SOBBING into her arms. Trey
drives slowly, looking extremely sad. A tear rolls down his
cheek, he wipes it away.

Brandon turns his forward and watches raindrops begin to hit the
front windshield.

			BRANDON
We're all going to die…aren't we?

Liz looks back; her face is covered in tears. She grins over at
Brandon.

			LIZ
		Shut up…just stop, Brandon.

			TREY
Why do you think she did it?

			BRANDON
She didn't do it. You guys didn't hear her screaming
		like the way I did.
			(beat)
I mean that door closed and locked right in front of
my eyes.

			TREY
		No…

			BRANDON
Why do you doubt this so much?

			TREY
You were doing the same thing.
			(beat)
I don't want to believe that this is happening.

			BRANDON
		Well, it's happening.

			TREY
Don't you think I realize that!?

			LIZ
Shut up! The both of you, just shut up!

INT. APARTMENT – LIVING ROOM

Trey and Liz enter. Liz tiredly walks to the couch and falls down
on it. She puts a pillow over her face and CRIES. Trey walks over
and sits on the edge of the couch.

He puts an arm around her and pulls off the pillow; she looks up
at him, extremely emotional. She pulls him close and kisses him.
She slides over, making room for him. He lies down next to her.

Trey kisses her and wipes away some of her tears.

			LIZ
		She did it –-

			TREY
		I know she did.
			(beat)
Something wrong is happening to us.

			LIZ
So, now you believe that this is happening?

			TREY
		I don't know what I believe. When I begin to think I
		understand something, I realize I don't.

INT. BATHROOM – SHOWER

Liz lets the steamy water fall onto her. Her eyes are swollen and
she looks very tired.

			TREY(OS)
I'm going to go take a ride, maybe stop at the studio.

She opens the shower curtain and sees Trey standing in the
doorway. He forces a smile.

			TREY
Okay? I'll be back. I just need to get out for awhile.

			LIZ
		Love you.

			TREY
I love you too, babe. Bye.

INT. PARKING GARAGE

Trey carries his helmet and walks towards his bike. There is an
eerie SILENCE. Something CRASHES to the ground.

Trey stops in his tracks and looks around. No one. He reaches his
bike and hops on. The bike ROARS to life.

INT. APARTMENT – BATHROOM

Liz steps out of the shower, a towel wrapped around her. She
walks over towards the fogged mirror and wipes it clean. She
turns around and grabs a shirt from a rack and slides it on.

A strange wind blows past Liz, making her hair flutter for a
quick second. Liz turns around, eyeing the bathroom. No one.

She hurries out of the bathroom.

INT. BEDROOM

Liz enters wearing a t-shirt and her panties. She looks a little
panicked. Something CRASHES to the ground. Liz turns toward the
doorway.

She quickly grabs a pair of pants from the bed and slides them
on. She starts BREATHING hard. Liz hears something else CRASH to
the ground.

INT. HALLWAY

Liz, shaking with fear, walks slowly down the short hallway.

			LIZ
		Trey?

No answer. Suddenly, we hear a door CREAKING open. Liz jumps and
SCREAMS as she sees the door next to her opening, revealing
Rebecca behind it.

Liz turns around and runs.

INT. BEDROOM

Liz enters and quickly SLAMS the door and LOCKS it. She backs up,
tears forming in her eyes. She listens, nothing.

Suddenly, BANGING and POUNDING can be heard coming from the door.
Liz GASPS.

			LIZ
This isn't real! I'm not crazy, this cannot be
		happening…

The PUNDING continues.

			LIZ(COUNT'D)
		I'm a logical person! This isn't happening! You're
		dead! This isn't real!

The POUNDING suddenly stops. Liz smiles a bit of relief. She
falls onto her knees and lays flat on her stomach and peers
underneath the door.

She barely can see anything, but no one is standing in front of
the door. Liz SIGHS. Liz jumps back up to her feet.

She grabs her purse from the bed and quickly opens the bedroom,
without hesitating, she runs out.

INT. LIVING ROOM

Liz runs towards the door, but glances around the room. Rebecca
is standing at a closet door. Liz GASPS.

			LIZ
		You're not real Rebecca. You're dead…

			REBECCA
Liz, you don't understand yet, do you?

			LIZ
I don't have to understand anything. You are dead!
			(beat)
		What are you?

			REBECCA
Brandon is next by the way, I've already decided that.

			LIZ
Decided? Decided to do what? Die?

Rebecca starts walking towards Liz. Liz YELLS and grabs for the
doorknob, she flings the door open and runs out.

INT. CORRIDOR

Liz runs down the corridor like hell. She reaches the elevators
at the end. She quickly pushes the button. She glances back and
SCREAMS, Rebecca is approaching.

Liz turns around and pushes the button again. She looks at the
mirrors attached to the wall, Rebecca is standing directly behind
her. Liz SCREAMS.

Liz swings her arms and turns around. She runs towards the
staircase and runs down the four flights of stairs.

INT. PARKING GARAGE

Liz pushes her way through a door and runs toward her car. She
drops her purse and quickly turns around and picks it up.

She runs toward her car, digging into her purse, pulling out a
pair of keys. She shoves a key into the driver's door and quickly
pulls the door open.

INT. LIZ'S CAR

She quickly LOCKS the doors and puts the key into the ignition.
She looks to her side and sees Rebecca standing on the other side
of the window.

Rebecca BANGS on the window, shattering it. Liz SCREAMS as glass
descends onto her. She turns the key and the car STARTS. Liz
SLAMS on the gas pedal.

EXT. STREET – DUSK

Liz's car exits from the garage and speeds down an empty street.
The sun can be seen setting in the distance.

EXT. ART STUDIO

Trey's bike is parked on the curve. Almost hitting the bike is
Liz's car. It comes to a stop and Liz jumps out from the car and
runs towards the entrance doors.

She reaches the doors, trying to open them. They're locked. Liz
POUNDS on the glass doors. Trey quickly exits. Liz grabs his hand
and forces him back to her car.

			TREY
		What's the matter with you!?

			LIZ
		Rebecca is going after Brandon!

Trey opens the passenger's door and gets in. Liz enters and the
car ROARS down the road.

INT. LIZ'S CAR

Trey confusingly looks over at Liz, who is concentrating on the
road. He looks down and sees glass spread out over the carpet.

			TREY
What happened? What do you mean she's going after
		Brandon?

			LIZ
Trey! Rebecca is real! She shattered the fucking
window…I even felt her. I hit her and she felt real!
		Trey, she is not dead!

Trey looks over at her, very concerned. He thinks and turns
towards the windshield.

			TREY
		Get to Brandon's quick…

INT. HOUSE – KITCHEN

Brandon is sitting at the kitchen table, filling out a job
application. The phone suddenly RINGS. He grabs the cordless from
the table.

			BRANDON
		Hello?

			TREY
		Brandon! It's Trey!
			(beat)
Listen to me, Rebecca is coming for you…

Brandon's face drops and he slowly stands up from the chair.

			TREY(COUNT'D)
		Get out of your house.

			BRANDON
What do you mean she's coming for me?

			TREY
Brandon, Liz and I are on our way. Just please, get
		out of your house.

Brandon CLICKS the phone off. He looks around frightened to
death.

			REBECCA(OS)
		Brandon…

Brandon GASPS with fright.

REBECCA(OS)
You put yourself in this situation. Do you realize
that?

Brandon looks around for her. She's nowhere in sight. He looks
down the hallway next to the kitchen. It's empty.

			BRANDON
No, Heather put me in this situation. I didn't ask for
		this, you sick bitch!

			REBECCA(OS)
		Oh, no!?

He looks around the entire kitchen. No one.

			BRANDON
		How are you doing this?

			REBECCA(OS)
		The devil brought me back…

Brandon looks around terrified and confused. He suddenly runs out
of the kitchen, down into the hallway.

INT. LIVING ROOM

Brandon runs out of the hallway and turns a corner, towards the
door. He bumps into Rebecca. He YELLS and quickly backs up,
running back into the hallway.

INT. BATHROOM

Brandon SLAMS the door, but falls down to the floor. He looks up
and sees the door begin to CREAK open. Brandon YELLS.

He jolts up and SLAMS his body into the door, closing it. He
quickly LOCKS it. He CLICKS on the ceiling light and rushes
towards a window at the back of the bathroom.

He opens the window and grabs the ledge, pulling himself up
towards the window. He pushes out the screen and slides half of
his body out.

Hands grab Brandon and quickly begin to pull him back in. He
YELLS. He's pulled all the way and falls he falls to the ground,
SLAMMING his head against the edge of the bath tube.

A wound forms around his temple and blood starts to flow out. He
stands up and the ceiling lights shut off. Brandon GASPS.

He looks around. No one.

The bathroom door is still closed. We hear something CRACKING.
Brandon turns his head towards the mirror and sees the glass
cracking through the middle.

In the reflection of the mirror is Rebecca, standing behind him.
Brandon turns around. No one.

In the mirror's reflection Rebecca is standing on the opposite
side of Brandon, he doesn't notice.

The entire mirror SHATTERS, sending glass flying everywhere.
Sharp, jagged pieces of glass fly into the back of Brandon.
Brandon's face drops and he falls to his knees.

He COUGHS up blood and his eyes slowly close. He falls forward,
revealing six pieces of glass sticking out from his skull and
several pieces of glass sticking out from his back.

			TREY(OS)
Brandon!? Where are you? Are you still here?

We hear doors OPENING and CLOSING.

			LIZ(OS)
		Brandon?

We hear someone grab the doorknob and the door is pushed open.
Liz quickly SCREAMS at the gruesome sight of Brandon's body. Trey
appears behind Liz and looks into the bathroom, he also starts
YELLING.

EXT. HOUSE

Trey and Liz run out of the house, SCREAMING like hell. They rush
over toward the car.

INT. APARTMENT – LIVING ROOM

Trey walks toward Liz, holding a baseball bat. She is sitting on
the couch, CRYING. He hands her the baseball bat and takes a seat
next to her.

			LIZ
Brandon was right, we're all going to die.

Both look extremely depressed and sadden. She looks at the bat,
confused.

			TREY
		For protection…
			(beat)
We need to find some help…

			LIZ
And say what, Trey? "A girl we thought we killed has
		come back for us?"

			TREY
No matter what we say, it'll all sound crazy.

Liz starts SOBBING.

			TREY
We're both loosing it, aren't we? I don't know what to
do anymore. I'm loosing all hope –-

			LIZ
I've already lost my hope! I'm scared! I don't want to
be here! I…I…wish I was dead.

Liz jumps off the couch and rushes to the kitchen, Trey stands up
and looks toward the kitchen. His eyes are quickly filling up
with tears.

Liz walks back, holding a sharp kitchen knife against her wrist.
Trey jumps off the couch and rushes to her.

			TREY
		Liz, stop it!

			LIZ
No! I can't take this anymore! I am not a strong
		enough person for this shit!

She starts CRYING fiercely. Trey pulls the knife away from her
and pulls her close, hugging her.

			TREY
Please, baby, stop it. Things will get better for us,
		they have to.

			LIZ
Make everything just stop, Trey. Please…I'm so scared
		right now.

			TREY
I am too, Liz. We'll get through this together.

INT. LIVING ROOM – LATER

Liz is lying on the couch, asleep. Trey is sitting on a chair,
falling asleep. He snaps his eyes open, trying not to fall
asleep.

He stands up and walks over to the window, looking out at the
darkened sky.

EXT. HOUSE

Trey looks up at Rebecca's house. He stares awkwardly and notices
no light is showing through the windows.

He starts walking up towards the house. He turns the doorknob,
its locked. He walks down the porch and eyes the windows. He
walks over to the side of the house.

He spots a window, halfway open. He looks around, making sure no
one has seen him. He grabs the frame of the window and slides the
window open.

He looks around one last time. No one is around. He pulls himself
up toward the window and slides into the house.

INT. HOUSE – DINING ROOM

Trey looks around, looking very nervous. He slides the window
shut and walks toward a stand with pictures on them, mostly
photos of Rebecca and her family. Trey notices that Rebecca never
smiles in any of the pictures.

A light FLICKS on. Trey whips around and sees Mrs. Myles walking
down the lightened hallway. Trey jumps and quickly hides in
between the wall and a hutch.

			MRS. MYLES(OS)
Jerry, have you seen my watch?

			MR. MYLES(OS)
		Dining room table…

Trey's eyes bulge as he notices a watch on the dining room table.
He leans down, being covered by the darkness of the room. He
GASPS quietly as the ceiling lights FLICK on.

She walks in front of him, but not noticing him. MR. MYLES enters
the room and puts a hand on his wife's shoulder. She puts on the
watch.

			MR. MYLES
Honey, we got reservations at eight.

			MRS. MYLES
		I'm ready. Lets go.

They turn around and leave the room, leaving Trey unseen. Mr.
Myles FLICKS off the light. Trey SIGHS. We hear the front door
OPEN and then CLOSE.

Trey steps out from his hiding place. He leaves the room, walking
toward a staircase.

INT. HALLWAY

Trey steps onto the darkened hallway. He looks in both
directions; all is SILENT. He begins walking down the hallway,
OPENING and CLOSING doors.

INT. REBECCA'S ROOM

The door CREAKS open. Trey peeks his head in, he enters. The
bedroom is uncannily dark. He CLICKS on the light. He examines
the room.

He notices that the walls of the room are black, posted on the
walls are a lot of gothic paintings and objects. He walks over to
a desk and grabs a book from it.

INSERT – BOOK

		"THE UNKNOWINGLY SUPERNATURAL"

He places the book back down and opens drawers. He pulls out some
photographs and scrutinizes them. The pictures are of James and
Rebecca, she actually smiles in a couple.

He looks sadly looks down at James's face. He tosses the pictures
back into the drawer. He shuffles through the rest of the junk in
the drawer. Nothing interests him.

He closes it and moves toward a bookshelf. He observes the books,
all of them are about witches, demons, hauntings, and the
supernatural.

He looks around and sees a shelf above her bed, laying on the
shelf are black candles. He turns back around and looks at the
bookshelf.

He pulls out about a dozen photographs from beneath the books.
Its pictures of mountainous landscapes, an opening of a tunnel,
and a tree with a lot of carved symbols on them.

He slides the pictures into his coat pocket. He walks over to a
dresser and starts OPENING drawers, just clothes. He shuffles
through the clothes and suddenly stops. He stares down into the
drawer.

He pulls something out and looks at it weirdly. It's a pentagram,
he looks inside the drawer and spots another. Trey tosses the one
he has into his pocket. He SLAMS the drawer and OPENS another.

He shuffles through more clothes and pulls out three books from
the bottom. He looks at them, his expression confused.

INSERT – BOOK(S)

		"WITCHCRAFT AND THE OCCULT"
		"THE ART OF BLACK MAGIC"
		"WICCA"

INT. APARTMENT – LIVING ROOM

Liz is still asleep on the couch. The front door OPENS and Trey
enters. He places the books on a table; pulling out the pictures
and pentagram, he places them next to the books.

He walks over to the couch and takes a seat next to Liz. He turns
to her and shakes her.

			TREY
		Liz…wake up.

INT. LIVING ROOM – LATER

Trey and Liz are now both sitting on the couches, flipping
through pages of the books. Trey glances at Liz who is writing
notes on paper.

			LIZ
I can't believe you snuck into their house. That's so
illegal.

			TREY
I know, what I did was wrong. But, c'mon we had to
		know something.

They get SILENT. Trey looks down onto the book and reads. Liz
SIGHS and looks down at the book she's holding and she begins to
read.

Trey looks up and looks over at Liz.

			TREY
		She's a revenant.

			LIZ
Where did you read that? What…is a revenant?

Trey holds up the book "WITCHCRAFT AND THE OCCULT".

			TREY
A revenant is to be believed as someone who returns
from the dead after experiencing a violent death.

Liz looks at him speechless. She sets the book in her hand on a
coffee table.

			TREY
You know what else I read?
			(beat)
Witches, assuming that she was one, use magic to harm
others by causing illnesses, accidents, bad luck, and
		death.

			LIZ
James's death wasn't coincidence and neither was
		Heather and Brandon's.

			TREY
She messed around with James's mind…some of them are
competent of doing that. She caused all of their
		deaths.

			LIZ
And she's going to cause ours, isn't she?

Trey flashes a grin at Liz.

			LIZ
I'm sorry, I just don't know what to do now.

			TREY
Neither do I, its not like I'm holding a book on how
to kill a witch. I'm just trying to understand…

Liz's eyes get teary. She lays back on the couch. Trey grabs some
pictures from the table. He looks at the one with the symbols
carved into the tree for a long time.

			TREY
Maybe she was part of a cult or something. What is it
called when there is a group of witches?

			LIZ
Coven, they're made up of like twelve witches, but
they practice alone. I just read about it.

Trey walks over to Liz and sits down next to her. She is starting
to SOB. She sits up and grabs him, hugging him. Trey kisses her,
romantically. He wipes away her tears.

Liz passionately kisses Trey back. Both of them begin to lower
down onto the couch.

INT. BEDROOM – DAY

Trey and Liz are underneath the sheets, covering their naked
bodies. The morning light shines through an open window onto
their sleeping faces.

Trey's eyes begin to slowly open. He YAWNS and turns to his side,
only to see Liz waking up. She looks at him.

			TREY
		Hey…

			LIZ
Morning. I have class at ten, but I'm not going today.
I won't be able to handle being there.

			TREY
I understand, but don't you think you should be around
		people?
			(beat)
I think I'm going to go talk to Rebecca's parents –-

			LIZ
		What!? Why!?

			TREY
Maybe they could help us out. Maybe they know
		something about her.

			LIZ
What do you actually plan on saying to them? "Is your
daughter a witch? Does she worship the devil?" –-

			TREY
		I don't know what I'm going to say. Don't worry…I'll
		figure something out.

EXT. HOUSE

Trey's bike comes to a stop in front of the Myles home. He takes
off his helmet and begins walking towards the porch. He reaches
the door and takes a deep BREATH.

He KNOCKS on the door. He watches, nervously, as the front door
is pulled open. Mr. Myles stands in the doorway.

			TREY
		Hello…Mr. Myles?

			MR. MYLES
		Yes.

			TREY
I don't know how to say this, but I just wanted to pay
my respects and say I'm sorry for what happened to
		Rebecca.

Mrs. Myles appears in the doorway, standing next to her husband.

			MR. MYLES
Thank you, that's really thoughtful of you to say.

			MRS. MYLES
You're another one of Rebecca's friends?

			TREY
		Well…not really, sort of.

			MRS. MYLES
Oh, because we had two visitors two days ago.

			TREY
I wanted to ask you two a very serious and kind of
		personal question.

			MR. MYLES
		What do you mean?

			TREY
Please, do not take this offensive. It's just
something my girlfriend and I were curious about –-

	MR. MYLES
Well, what is it?

Trey takes a deep BREATH once again.

			TREY
Was your daughter into some kind of witchcraft or
		voodoo or something?

Both Mr. and Mrs. Myles look shocked by that question. Mrs. Myles
SIGHS.

			MR. MYLES
		Why do you say that?

			TREY
It's…huh…just something we've heard from other people
about her. I apologize if I'm sounding rude…

			MRS. MYLES
		No, it's okay.
			(beat)
We're not sure. We both have come to terms and finally
realized that our daughter was different…she became
fascinated with blood and death at a very young age.

			MR. MYLES
She's always been depressed…ever since her younger
		brother's death.

			TREY
You had a son that died?

			MRS. MYLES
He was in an accident. A drunk driver took his life
when he was crossing for school.

Mrs. Myles begins to tear up.

			MRS. MYLES
After that she began having these violent stages and
she would be very aggressive. She suffered from a
nervous breakdown by the age of seventeen.
			(beat)
She tried to commit suicide once, we institutionalized
her at a clinic for that.

			MR. MYLES
Our daughter was an extremely disturbed person and we
know that. We tried helping her by putting her in
		therapy, but…

			MRS. MYLES
She was never happy. God, the last time I even
remember her smiling is when she was just a small
		child.

			TREY
I feel really bad…I'm sorry to have brought this up at
		a time like this.

			MR. MYLES
		No, it's okay.

			MRS. MYLES
Truthfully, it's better for her that she's gone. She's
not sadden or angry anymore. She's with her brother.

			MR. MYLES
We think she was on something though.

			MRS. MYLES
I've tried to build up some kind of courage and go
look through her bedroom and discover what she was
keeping from us, but I can't…

She begins to SOB. Mr. Myles wraps a hand around her.

			MR. MYLES
What our daughter did in her lifetime, we cannot say.

			TREY
I'm sorry. I'm sorry for bothering you.

			MRS. MYLES
She was going to these meetings a lot or whatever they
were. She said they were "nature seminars". I didn't
care what it was…as long as it was making her happy.

			TREY
You wouldn't remember where they meetings were held
		at, would you?

			MRS. MYLES
I believe it was…Windsor National Park. It's right
		outside the city.

			TREY
Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Myles. Once again, I'm sorry
		for you and your family.

			MR. MYLES
May I ask, but what is your name by the way?

			TREY
		Huh…Trey Bennett.

			MR. MYLES
Well, thank you Mr. Bennett for paying your respects.
		Take care.

INT. PARKING GARAGE

Liz's exits from her car, text books in her hand. She CLOSES the
door and begins walking toward a door. She turns to see Trey, on
his bike, entering the garage.

He parks his bike and hops off. He rushes toward Liz, she
confusingly looks over at him.

			TREY
We're going to Windsor National Park.

			LIZ
Why? Did you find out something?

			TREY
Her parents said that's where she spent a lot of time.
I think maybe we could find out more there.

			LIZ
		Well, you go, okay?

			TREY
Come with me. I don't want you to be alone.

			LIZ
Trey, we haven't seen in her for a while. Maybe she's
		not coming back for us.

			TREY
See, you're not sure, you said "maybe". C'mon Liz,
don't you want to find out how we can stop her?

			LIZ
And you plan on finding out on how to stop her in the
		fucking woods?

			TREY
Maybe that's where she practiced? Maybe…there's others
		like her.

			LIZ
I don't want to find others like her!

			TREY
Liz, please, just come with me.

Liz thinks. She looks over at him and SIGHS.

EXT. HIGHWAY

Liz's car ROARS down a semi-empty highway, leaving the city
behind them.

Dark rain clouds uncover the sun.

INT. LIZ'S CAR

Trey is driving; concentrating on the road. Liz sits in the
passenger's seat, looking at a map. Both are SILENT.

			TREY
		Are you okay?

			LIZ
		Yeah…I'm fine. I'm sorry, though.

			TREY
		For what?

			LIZ
Being such a bitch. I'm mad, but I shouldn't take it
		out on you.

			TREY
		Don't worry, I understand.
			(beat)
You know what were doing for sure after this is all
		over? We're going to Hawaii.

			LIZ
I rather be there right now, than here.

			TREY
We'll be there quicker than we think. You know why?
Because this is going to end soon…I promise you.

Liz leans closer to Trey and kisses his cheek.

EXT. WINDSOR NATIONAL PARK

Liz's car comes to a stop at a tollbooth. Trey rolls down his
window, he looks inside the tollbooth. No one is in there.

Trey looks back at Liz, she points her index finger. We hear
something being BANGED against a window. Trey whips around and
sees a MAN standing inside the tollbooth, he removes his hand
from the window. He slides it open.

			MAN
		Hey, its twenty bucks.

Trey pulls out money from his wallet and hands it to the man.

			MAN
Park is closing at five, a storm is supposed to be
		moving in.

Trey nods his head and rolls up the window. Trey drives the car
past the tollbooth.

EXT. FOREST – ROAD

Liz's car travels down a barely asphalted road. Tall trees
surround the road. Liz looks through the window, looking into the
woods.

Trey concentrates on the road, but turns his head and looks out
the window. He sees a WOMAN standing in the distance of the
woods. She is looking at them.

Trey turns his attention back to the road.

EXT. PICNIC AREA

Liz's car comes to a STOP. Both Trey and Liz step out from the
car. Liz shivers, she reaches inside the car and pulls out a
sweater. She slides it on.

Trey looks around. It's strangely quiet and empty. Liz walks over
to a picnic table and takes a seat. Trey looks over at her.

			LIZ
So, what do we do now?

			TREY
		We look…

			LIZ
		Look for what?

Trey looks over into the woods. He squints his eyes and then
turns back to Liz.

			TREY
		C'mon…look.

EXT. WOODS

Trey and Liz are walking down a trail. Trey is pulling something
out from his pocket. Liz looks ahead and sees a lake in the
distance, they're approaching it.

Liz looks at Trey, who has pulled something from his pocket. A
picture. He hands the picture to Liz.

			TREY
		Look. Do you see it?

			LIZ
		What I'm I looking for?

Trey grabs the picture away from Liz. They both stop walking as
Trey holds up the picture in front of Liz.

The picture is of a lake. A dock is placed in the center of the
lake.

Trey lowers the picture and Liz looks at the lake a couple of
feet from them. There's a dock in the lake, it's identical to the
one in the picture.

They walk closer to the lake, stepping onto the shore of the
lake. They notice the water is very calm. Trey looks at Liz.

			TREY
		We've found it. We're here.

EXT. WOODS – LATER

Trey and Liz are striding along through the woods. Liz shivers.
Trey looks over at her and wraps his arm around her.

			TREY
You know, we can leave if you want.

			LIZ
No, I'm just cold. Lets just get this over with, okay?
			(beat)
Best-case scenario…we do find others like her, then
		what?

			TREY
We try to get them to help us. Maybe…we can find a
spell or something to stop her.

			LIZ
Spell or something? C'mon Trey, this is getting
ridiculous. What if she's not even a witch?

			TREY
Liz, you didn't see her room. I showed you the fucking
books and shit, how could she not being doing some
		type of magic?

			LIZ
		Whatever.
			(beat)
Worst-case scenario, we do find others like her and
		they try to kill us?

			TREY
We're not even sure we'll find anyone.

Trey's eyes widen. He quickly grabs Liz's shoulder. He gestures
her to be quiet. They listen.

Somewhere in the distance, the sounds of leaves being WALKED on
can be heard. Both of them turn towards the SOUND.

			TREY
		Hello –-

Liz quickly covers Trey's mouth. She shakes her head. Trey
notices that Liz is deeply afraid. She BREATHS hard.

The FOOTSTEPS stop. Trey grabs Liz's hand and they walk off the
trial.

They walk deeper into the woods. Trey looks at Liz, who is
gripping his shoulder tightly. They look to their side. They push
their way through bushes.

EXT. PICNIC AREA

They step onto another picnic area. Their eyes fixed on
something. They reach a picnic table. Liz GASPS.

On the table are a few dozen black candles, only one is lit. Liz
blows it out. The wax from the candles has melted onto the wooden
table.

			TREY
She had the same type of candles in her room…

Trey looks around. He looks at the ground and GASPS. Liz turns
around and looks at him, looking at the ground. She quickly looks
toward the ground.

Drawn on the dirt are pentagram symbols.

			LIZ
		Pentagrams…are you getting scared yet?

			TREY
		Doesn't mean anything.

			LIZ
Like hell it doesn't. That's for evil, Trey. That's
		not a good sign.

			TREY
		Lets get out of here.

EXT. WOODS

Trey and Liz are quickly walking through the woods, going in and
out of trees. Liz impatiently looks around as she begins to
BREATH hard.

Trey also looks around, nervously.

			TREY
Trial…where the hell is the trial?

			LIZ
		No, we're lost! No!

			TREY
Calm down, Liz. We'll find the trial, we're going to
		be okay!

			LIZ
No one is every okay when they're lost in the fucking
		woods!

Trey looks up at the sky, rain clouds are moving in, darkening
the sky. He looks over at Liz, who is frantically looking around.
Tears form in her eyes.

They continue walking and looking around.

EXT. WOODS – LATER

The sky has darkened even more. Liz rests against a tree, while
Trey takes a seat on a tree stump. He looks over at Liz and
GASPS. He jolts up.

He pulls out another picture from his pocket and holds it up in
front of his face. Liz walks over towards him. She looks at the
picture and then turns ahead.

The picture is the one with the carved symbols on it. The tree
that Liz was resting against is the same tree from the photo.

SOMEONE suddenly rushes up to them. A WOMAN. Both Trey and Liz
SCREAM. She grins at them. Trey recognizes her, it's the woman he
saw in the woods earlier.

			TREY
Do you know a way out of here?

			WOMAN
		I know who you are.

			LIZ
		How do you know us?

			WOMAN
You're the ones who murdered Rebecca Myles.

Both Trey and Liz's faces drop.

			TREY
		Rebecca Myles? –-

			WOMAN
Don't act stupid! We know, we all know that you two
		killed her.

			TREY
How could you possibly know that?

			WOMAN
		She told us –-

			LIZ
		She's dead, though.

			WOMAN
In our dreams, she told us who. She's haunting our
		dreams.

			TREY
		How do we stop her?

			WOMAN
You can't, she was too strong and powerful before she
died. Now, even after death she became even more
		powerful.
			(beat)
The devil…he helped her and now she has returned back
		to us.

Liz begins BREATHING hard. The woman closes her eyes and MUMBLES
something. Trey and Liz start taking steps backwards.

Raindrops begin to PLOP down on them. Trey looks up as the sky
darkens, even more, right before his eyes. Liz turns around and
starts running; grabbing Trey's arm, he follows.

They run through the woods, through the rain, not looking back.
Liz is YELLING as they run. The rain becomes heavier.

Liz trips on a tree branch and falls to the ground. Trey trips on
Liz's legs and falls to the ground, both of them land in the mud.

Liz is CRYING. Trey jumps to his feet and helps Liz up. They
start running again, but they bump into Rebecca!

They SCREAM. She grins at them as they begin to walk backwards.
They stare at her.

			TREY
What do you want from us!?

			LIZ
		Just leave us alone!

She walks closer toward Trey and Liz. Liz begins to SOB.

			TREY
Just kill us already! Stop messing with us and just
		fucking do it, you bitch!

Liz angrily looks over at Trey. They look back over at Rebecca.
She's gone.

			REBECCA(OS)
		I only want you two…

Trey and Liz begin looking around for her. No one.

			REBECCA(COUNT'D)
What? You guys don't like my games? You should've
never messed with me, now you pay. Brandon and Heather
		already have…

Trey grabs Liz's arm and they run like hell.

EXT. WOODS – LATER

Trey and Liz are sprinting through the rain. They stop at a near
oak tree. They try to catch their BREATH.

Trey looks around the tree and SIGHS. Liz steps up next to him.
She sees what he sees. They begin to walk.

They reach an opening of a tunnel. Trey remembers a picture of
the same tunnel. Both of them look inside; nothing can be seen
through the darkness.

They listen, nothing can be heard. Trey takes a step inside, Liz
holds him back.

			TREY
What? We got to go through.

			LIZ
No, you actually think this is a good idea? I think to
go in there would be a very bad idea.

			TREY
C'mon, we can't find the trail, we can't find a road.
		This is an old railroad…

Trey points to the ground, Liz looks and sees railroad tracks.
She looks back up at Trey.

			 TREY
It has to lead somewhere, right? We have no other
		chose.

INT. TUNNEL

Trey and Liz walk very quietly down the extremely dark tunnel.
They walk along the railroad tracks. Trey grabs Liz's hand and
they begin to run down the tunnel.

Trey and Liz's faces drop. They stop in their tracks and look
ahead. Boulders and wood panels block the rest of the tunnel. Liz
looks over at Trey.

			LIZ
		Oh…that's just great.

They turn around and begin walking back. Trey trips over a track,
he grabs a railing to help regain his balance. He stops.

Liz continues walking, but stops. She turns around and sees Trey
looking down at something. She walks over towards him.

Next to the railing is a concrete staircase, leading downwards.
He takes a step down. Liz looks down; a dimmed light can be seen
at the end of the staircase.

Liz joins Trey and they begin walking very slowly down the
staircase. Liz flashes Trey a worried look. They take their last
step from the staircase and land in the dirt.

On the opposite side of Trey and Liz, is a door. A light can be
seen glowing from behind the door. They walk toward the door. Liz
begins to BREATH hard.

They reach the door; it's a wooden door with cracks across it.
Trey tries to look in through a gap, but can't see anything. He
grips the doorknob.

Liz grabs his hand and forces it off the doorknob. He SIGHS,
grabbing it again. He twists the doorknob and he pushes the door
open.

Inside is a cave; the walls are rock and dirt. Wooden tables and
chairs are scattered throughout. Nothing else is visible. Trey
and Liz take a step inside.

INT. CAVE

They enter and look around. Liz notices up on the ceiling of the
cave are dozens of dangling lamps, lighting up the cave. They
walk deeper into the cave.

Hundreds of unlighted candles are placed on a wide table. Trey
looks around and sees a table of books. He grabs Liz's hand and
they walk to the table.

Trey opens one of the books, spells printed inside. Liz GASPS.

			TREY
		This is so –-

			LIZ
What did you get me into?

Trey places the book back. Trey turns around and is suddenly hit
over the head with a piece of plywood. He falls to the ground,
unconscious.

Liz SCREAMS and quickly sees the woman from the woods approaching
her with it. Liz turns around and runs. The woman stops.

			WOMAN
Why did you have to kill her!?

Liz stops and turns around.

			WOMAN
		You like our home?
			(beat)
The others will be here soon…

			LIZ
What is wrong with you people!?

			WOMAN
Are you scared of us people? We're just a little
		different.

			LIZ
		No, you guys are sick.

The woman starts running toward Liz, Liz turns around and runs
toward a hallway of some sort. Liz YELLS, it's a dead end.

She turns around, the woman is approaching her. She raises the
plywood and is ready to strike Liz, when suddenly Trey pops up
behind the woman and hits her on the back of the head.

The woman falls to the ground. Liz jolts past the woman and grabs
Trey, they turn around and run.

Liz SCREAMS. Rebecca is standing by the entrance. They stop.
Rebecca suddenly starts running at them. Trey YELLS.

They turn around and run, Liz SCREAMS as the woman is slowly
pulling herself up. Trey turns around and Rebecca's hands dart at
Trey, knocking him down to the ground.

Liz SCREAMS and runs away.

Trey shoves Rebecca off of him. He stands up and runs away. He
trips over something and falls flat on his face. He jolts up and
looks at what he tripped on.

An axe. His eyes light up and he quickly grabs it. He looks
around. The woman is gone, Rebecca is gone, and Liz is gone. He
grips the axe tightly.

			TREY
		Liz…

Trey looks around in every direction. No one. It is disturbingly
QUIET. He glances over at the entrance and quickly runs toward
it.

INT. TUNNEL

Trey rapidly runs up the staircase, still gripping onto the axe.
He reaches the top and looks toward the entrance of the tunnel.
No one.

He turns looks around the tunnel as he sprints to the entrance.

			TREY
		Liz! Liz…where are you!?

EXT. WOODS – NIGHT

Trey runs out of the tunnel and into the rain. He looks around.
No one. He becomes panicky. He takes off, running in one
direction.

He runs past trees, bushes, and plants. He still grips the axe
tightly in his hands.

INT. CAVE

SILENCE. Liz peeks her head up from behind a table. She looks
around. No one. She slowly stands up.

			LIZ
		Trey…

She looks around the entire area, no one is around. She SIGHS and
walks around the table. She walks very QUIETLY and slowly toward
the door Trey and her had entered from.

Something CRASHES to the ground, behind her. Without looking back
Liz runs to the door. She opens it and SCREAMS.

Rebecca is standing on the other side of the door. Liz quickly
backs up as Rebecca walks toward her.

			LIZ
		Stay away from me!

Rebecca stops approaching her. Liz starts SOBBING.

			LIZ
What do you want from us?
			(beat)
What are you? How…are you alive?

			REBECCA
		I started…

Her voice is strangely soft and QUIET.

			REBECCA(COUNT'D)
…When I was thirteen years old, right after my brother
died. I was depressed and lost…

She holds up her wrists; ugly, long scars across them.

			REBECCA(COUNT'D)
		…Past mistakes.
			(beat)
I started reading and learning about Wicca and then I
decided to start trying…witchcraft. I became one of
the advanced ones here. I became able to control the
weather and then I learned how to cast hexes and
spells.

Rebecca raises her voice.

			REBECCA
And then you four took everything away from me! Its
		okay though…when I died, I didn't die.
			(beat)
		My practices brought me back.

Liz shakes her head and begins moving backwards. She looks very
scared and frightened.

			REBECCA
You think you're crazy, don't you?

Liz backs up into a chair, she tumbles to the ground, but quickly
stands up. Rebecca is still in the same spot.

			REBECCA
		I'm very much real…

			LIZ
If you're real, then you're just like me? You feel
		pain?

Liz swiftly picks up the chair she tripped on and throws it at
Rebecca, hitting her in the chest. It falls to the ground,
Rebecca doesn't budge.

Liz BREATHS hard.

Rebecca grins over at Liz. Liz turns around and reaches for
another chair, she picks one up. She rushes over to Rebecca,
SLAMMING the chair across her face.

			LIZ
Just leave me alone, bitch! Stop!

Rebecca reaches for her; she grabs Liz's arm and twists it. Liz
YELLS in pain. Liz swings her free hand, punching Rebecca in the
face. Rebecca lets go of Liz's arm.

Liz pulls away and runs. She turns around and Rebecca SLAMS her
entire body into Liz, pushing Liz onto a table. Liz SCREAMS as
PLOPS to the ground.

Liz crawls underneath the table. She stops and looks around.
Rebecca can't be seen anywhere. Liz WHINES in fear.

EXT. WOODS

Trey, still holding the axe, continues to run through the woods
and rain. Branches SLAP him in the face.

He trips on a log, falling to the ground. The axe flies from his
hands. Trey YELLS.

He grabs a trunk of a tree, trying to pull himself to his feet.
He looks around for the axe and spots it. He limps over to it and
picks it up.

INT. CAVE

Liz is still underneath the table. She slows her BREATHING down
and begins to crawl out. She huddles close to the ground, looking
every which way.

No one.

Above and behind Liz is Rebecca, standing on top of the table.
She slowly reaches out for Liz.

Liz continues to look around, unknown to who is behind her. Two
hands grab Liz's shoulder. Liz SCREAMS and is lifted off the
ground.

Rebecca throws her to the other side of the cave; Liz CRASHES
onto tables and chairs. Liz hits the ground hard, dirt flying
across her face.

Liz begins to CRY and SOB. She tries to stand up, but SCREAMS in
sheer pain. She turns and lifts up her pants leg. She GASPS.

Her ankle is twisted. It is very read and swollen. She looks up
and sees Rebecca standing above her. She quickly grabs at Liz,
picking her up.

Rebecca throws her again; Liz collides violently against the
rocky wall of the cave, the sound of her back CRACKING is heard.
Liz SCREAMS brutally as she falls to the ground.

Trickles of blood flow out from behind her head. Liz SOBS in
pain. She lays limp on the ground. She looks up, her face is
dirty and bloody.

Rope is suddenly placed around Liz's neck. A noose. Tears flow
down Liz's cheek, washing away dirt and blood. Rebecca places her
hands on Liz's neck.

Liz closes her eyes, a low SOB escapes her throat.

Rebecca SNAPS Liz's neck without any hesitation. The sickening
sound of bones CRACKING can be heard.

EXT. WOODS

Heavy rain pours down onto Trey as he walks fast through the
trees, still walking with a limp. He looks around.

			TREY
		Liz! Please, baby, answer me!

He rubs his face, trying to get the rain out of his eyes. He
slumps up against a tree. He listens and through the sound of the
rain, the sound of branches SNAPPING is heard.

Trey peeks his head from around the tree. No one.

			TREY
		Liz?

He turns around and starts walking, again. He begins to run, with
a limp. He looks back, no one. He turns around and continues to
run.

The rain is starting to settle. It gets lighter and lighter. Trey
notices and SIGHS.

EXT. WOODS – LATER

The rain has stopped. Trey stops running and rests against
something. He GASPS for air. He is extremely tired.

He looks down and notices he's standing in a puddle of mud. He
throws his head back, hitting something. Not wood from a tree,
but steel.

Trey quickly walks forward and looks back. A sign of relief
spreads across his face. His eyes travel up toward the sky.

Rested in front of Trey is a watchtower, standing fifteen feet
upwards. He walks over toward a ladder and quickly begins
climbing up it, he holds the axe in one hand and climbs with the
other.

He climbs a little higher, but a hand suddenly grabs his foot.
Trey YELLS and looks down. It's the woman; she is on the ground,
reaching her hands out.

She grins up at Trey as she pulls on his leg. Trey kicks his leg,
but looses balance, falling only a couple of inches. His hand
grips the ladder and he quickly climbs up the ladder, not even
looking down.

INT. WATCHTOWER

Trey pulls himself through the opening on the floor. He SLAMS the
entry flap and quickly grabs boxes and shoves them onto the
entrance.

Everything goes SILENT. He realizes he is holding the axe. He
quickly pushes everything off of the entrance and lifts the flap.
He GASPS.

The woman has pulled herself to the entrance. Trey YELLS and
brings down the axe. The axe gruesomely SMASHES into the woman's
head.

Trey watches as her body, with the axe still intact in her skull,
fall all the way down. She lands in the mud with a loud THUD.
Trey SIGHS and begins BREATHING hard.

He closes the entrance and backs up into a corner, hiding in the
darkness. He SLAMS down on the wooden floor, he YELLS in anger.
He closes his eyes and begins to SOB.

INT. WATCHTOWER – LATER

Everything is SILENT. Trey is still huddled in the corner,
looking very desperate and scared. He slowly stands up and walks
over to a shelf.

He pulls a flashlight close to him and CLICKS it on. Something
startles him. He listens, someone climbing up the ladder can be
heard.

He accidentally drops the flashlight to the ground, making the
light shut off. He moves back, up against a window. He listens to
the SILENCE.

			REBECCA(OS)
		Trey…I'm coming for you.

Trey eyes the clutter on top of the entrance. He looks around and
walks toward the shelf, he tips it over onto the entrance. He
backs up into another corner.

			REBECCA(OS)
		You killed Madeline.
			(beat)
So, you did have the balls to kill someone else.

			TREY
		Just leave us alone!

			REBECCA(OS)
Us? You're the only one left, sweetheart.

Trey's face turns into shock and disgust.

			TREY
		What do you mean!?

			REBECCA(OS)
		Exactly what I said.

			TREY
		No! You're lying!

Suddenly, the sound of BANGING can be heard coming from the
entrance. With every BANG, the clutter on top of it shakes.

The shelf, boxes, everything blocking the entrance suddenly flies
off the ground, landing everywhere. A box SHATTERS the window
behind Trey. He falls to the ground.

He looks and GASPS. Nothing is blocking the entrance anymore.
It's slowly pushed up. Trey jumps to his feet. Rebecca climbs
inside.

She stands up, smirking at Trey. He turns around and grabs a
broken piece of a chair. He turns around, ready to strike.
Rebecca forcefully shoves on Trey's chest, sending him backwards.

Trey falls out of the window!

EXT. WATCHTOWER

He falls out, but he manages to grab the ledge. Rebecca appears
at the window and looks down at him. She reaches out.

Rebecca's hand SLAMS down onto Trey's fingers. Trey YELLS in pain
and fright. She raises her hand again and makes a fist, she SLAMS
down her hand onto Trey's, again.

She raises her fist once more and brings it down, hitting Trey's
fingers again. Trey lets go and begins to fall. He YELLS.

He falls far from the watchtower, landing in a lake below.

EXT. LAKE

Ten seconds pass before Trey reaches the surface. He GASPS for
air. He looks up at the watchtower, Rebecca is no longer at the
window.

He starts swimming towards the shore.

EXT. WOODS – LATER

Drenched in his clothes, Trey travels along the woods. With every
step he takes, he gains speed. He continuously glances behind
him. He takes a precaution with everything around him.

He stops and turns, eyeing a tree. It's the tree with the carved
symbols on them. He looks around, trying to recognize the area.
He listens. The only sound that can be heard is the WIND brushing
up against plant life.

He looks up at the sky; the moon is being covered by another rain
cloud. He watches as the stars begin to disappear behind the
clouds.

He starts walking again. He pushes himself through bushes and
long grass. He steps on something hard. He stops and looks down.

He is stood on part of a railroad track. He follows the track
with his eyes as he sees the opening of the tunnel. He eyes the
tracks in the opposite direction, the tracks shortly disappear
into the woods.

He looks back at the tunnel.

INT. TUNNEL

Trey QUIETLY walks down the staircase. He tries his hardest to be
extremely quiet. He walks over to the closed entrance door. He
places his hands on the door, but hesitates.

He turns around, just making sure that no one is there. He turns
around and gently pushes the door open.

INT. CAVE

The lamps are still lighting up the room. Trey opens the door all
the way and he slowly enters. He looks around.

Everything is SILENT and no one can be seen. He sees a hatchet
buried halfway in a block of wood on the other side of the cave.
Trey runs toward it.

He reaches it and pulls it out of the wood. He looks around,
there's a strangely ominous SILENCE. He turns his attention to
the side of him. He slowly steps forward.

His face is twisted in pure horror. His eyes are bulged to the
extreme as tears begin to flow out onto his cheeks. His mouth
opens in pure fright as a GASP escapes his throat. He begins to
HYPERVENTILATE.

He continues to step forward, very slowly. His face turns into
pure disgust. He lets the hatchet fall to the ground as he falls
to his knees. He SOBS and CRIES.

Six feet off the ground is the hanging body of Liz. Her body
dangles from a rafter not high from the ground. The noose around
her neck is extremely tight, twisting the skin. Blood from the
wounds, flow down her body, seeping through her clothes.

Trey continues to CRY and YELL.

			REBECCA(OS)
		Sad sight, isn't it?

Trey YELLS loudly and picks up the hatchet. He quickly stands up
and turns around. No one.

			REBECCA(OS)
Do you feel the end coming? I do…the end for you.

Trey looks around, turning in circles, looking for Rebecca. He
turns around and faces the entrance. He takes off, running toward
the door.

A hand snatches the hatchet away from Trey's hand. Trey YELLS and
looks back. He YELLS again as Rebecca dives at him, swinging the
hatchet.

She slices through air as Trey dives to the ground. Trey lifts up
as the hatchet SLAMS onto the exact spot where his head was. He
looks up as Rebecca raises the hatchet.

Trey kicks Rebecca in the face, making her fall back. Trey jumps
to his feet and rushes toward Rebecca, ripping the hatchet away
from her.

Trey impacts the hatchet into Rebecca's stomach. He backs up as
he eyes Rebecca; she looks unharmed. She pulls the hatchet out
from her stomach.

Trey YELLS and runs around her, heading for the entrance. He runs
out through the door in a hurry, not looking back.

EXT. TUNNEL

Trey runs down the tunnel, but he trips on one of the tracks. He
quickly jumps up and looks back. Rebecca isn't there.

He turns around and runs like hell, out of the tunnel.

EXT. WOODS

Trey continues running; he falls to the ground, thinking of
Heather, Brandon, and Liz. He CRIES and YELLS loudly. He forces
himself to stand up.

A full blast of wind blows past him.

			TREY
I can't do this anymore! If you want me, I'm right
here! Just come and get me bitch!

He looks around. No one, everything is SILENT.

			TREY
Show yourself! I'm here waiting for you!

EXT. WOODS – LATER

Trey drags himself through the woods. He takes a seat on
something and rests. He GASPS for air and closes his eyes. He
places his hands in front of his face and he burrows his head in
them.

He feels on what he's sitting on. A confused look spreads across
his face. He jolts up and turns around. He slightly smiles.

In front of him is a picnic table. He looks around and realizes
he's in the picnic area. He turns around and starts running.

Parked, not far from the table is Liz's car. He reaches the car,
pulling on the door handle. It's locked. He pulls out the car
keys from his pocket.

He fiercely jams the key into the keyhole and throws open the
door. He jumps inside, SLAMMING the car door.

INT. LIZ'S CAR

He shoves a key into the ignition and the car ROARS to life. He
turns around in his seat, looking around for one last time. No
one can be seen outside in the woods.

Trey shivers from being cold and CLICKS on the heater. He
reverses the car and drives forward.

EXT. WOODS – ROAD

Liz's car speeds down the road. The headlights flicker on,
leaving most of the dreadfully dark woods behind him.

INT. LIZ'S CAR

Trey concentrates on the road, not noticing that a shadow appears
in the backseats. Slowly, a figure soon rises behind the driver's
seat. Rebecca.

She looks down onto him.

Trey senses something behind him. He glances at the rearview
mirror and GASPS.

Rebecca quickly brings down her arms, gripping Trey's neck. He
swerves the steering wheel. Rebecca YELLS as she continues to
strangle him.

Trey releases his hands from the steering wheel and tries to pry
Rebecca's hands off his throat. His foot is still on the gas
pedal.

He can't make Rebecca's hands budge, so he starts swinging his
hands. He hits her in the face, but she doesn't seem to mind.
Rebecca digs her nails into Trey's neck, making him YELL.

EXT. WOODS

Liz's car drifts off the road and into the woods, almost hitting
forest trees.

Through the windshield we can see Trey hitting the side of
Rebecca's head.

INT. LIZ'S CAR

Both Trey and Rebecca are YELLING. Rebecca continues to dig her
nails into his neck, making blood flow out. Rebecca yanks on him,
pulling him back.

Trey's foot releases from the gas pedal, making the car begin to
decelerate. Rebecca pulls him upward and back, into the backseat.
She is too strong for Trey.

Trey's feet kick in the air, hitting the steering wheel, making
it turn.

EXT. WOODS

Liz's car begins to turn before SLAMMING into a boulder. The car
flips several times before landing on its side. We can hear Trey
YELLING.

The car tips over, landing upside down. Gas from the tank pours
out and runs down the side of the car, landing on the ground.

A spark can be seen towards the front of the car. A small fire
starts.

INT. LIZ'S CAR

Trey is crawling through glass; he glances back for Rebecca. He
quickly turns around as a cloud of smoke fogs his sight. He cuts
his arm on a sharp piece of glass; he doesn't care.

He continues crawling towards the windshield.

Rebecca sits up from behind Trey and grabs at him, snatching his
legs. Trey YELLS and kicks her in the face. She lets go, but
dives again at him, landing on top of him.

Trey rolls over onto his back and faces Rebecca. He swings his
fist at her, but she grabs his arm.

			REBECCA
I just want to let you know…no matter how much you
fight, you'll never get away from me.

Rebecca twists Trey's hand, dislocating the wrist. Trey YELLS.
With his free hand he grabs a jagged piece of glass next to him.
He stabs Rebecca in chest.

She lets go of his arm and he swings both of his fists at her,
knocking her off of him.

Without hesitation Trey turns around and crawls to the
windshield, he doesn't bother looking back.

EXT. WOODS

Trey exits and jumps to his feet. Rebecca grins at him from
inside the car.

A suddenly explosion hurls Trey through the air, landing about
ten feet from the burning car. He shields himself from the fire.
He suddenly starts YELLING.

His left arm is on fire! It spreads up towards the neck area.
Trey YELLS and rolls on the ground, his burning arm and shoulder
finally go out.

Trey SIGHS. His left arm and shoulder is practically charred.
Trey GASPS in unbearable pain. He forces himself to lift up.

He looks at the burning car, some of the trees, bushes, and other
plants around are on fire.

			TREY
		Rest in hell…

Trey lowers his head to the ground and he closes his eyes.

EXT. WOODS – DAWN

FIREFIGHTERS and POLICE have arrived. The firemen have put out
most of the fires, but are still working on a few.

Trey is being lifted in a stretcher and is slid into an
ambulance. He looks like an emotional messed up person, a sadden
look spread out across his face.

			TREY(OS)
		And now I'm here…

FADE TO

INT. CLINIC – OFFICE

Trey sits in a chair, with a hospital gown on. His left arm,
shoulder, and part of his neck are bandaged up. He sits across
from a DOCTOR, who is taking notes on a piece of paper.

			TREY
Look, I've told you the same damn story several times
		and –-

			DOCTOR
I know, but Mr. Bennett you have to look at it through
my perspective. Your story is too unbelievable…too
		unrealistic.

			TREY
It's the damn truth. She killed my friends and I
		killed her.

			DOCTOR
		Right.
			(beat)
Listen, I spoke to the fire chief and even some of the
officers that were present there at the sight. You
know what I found out? There was no other body found
		in that car.

			TREY
There had to be, though. I saw her in the car when it
		exploded.

			DOCTOR
But there wasn't any trace of her presence in that
		car. No DNA…nothing.

			TREY
You think I'm crazy, don't you?

			DOCTOR
As I said earlier, we are questioning your insanity.

			TREY
Tell me something then, if Rebecca Myles didn't kill
my friends, who did? Did Heather jump out from the
window? Did Brandon stab himself in the back of the
head? Did my girlfriend hang herself?

			DOCTOR
		Maybe…you did those things?

			TREY
		Don't accuse me of anything!

			DOCTOR
Well, you just did admit in your story that you and
your friends did kill Rebecca Myles.
			(beat)
Maybe you lost it Mr. Bennett?

Trey doesn't respond. He stares in disbelief at the doctor.

			DOCTOR
We're still going to need to keep you here for further
		testing.

			TREY
You can't hold me against my will.

			DOCTOR
Oh, but we can…especially in situations like these.
			(beat)
Truthfully, if you were me…would you believe any of
		your story?

Trey looks up at him, speechless.

			DOCTOR
		Exactly.

INT. ROOM

Trey is escorted in by a GUARD. The guard turns around and
leaves, CLOSING and LOCKING the door.

Trey looks around the very small room, with only a bed in the
center. He lies down on the bed, staring at the ceiling. He takes
in a deep BREATH.

			TREY
		I'm not crazy…

He closes his eyes.

			REBECCA(OS)
		But, everyone thinks so.

Trey's eyes open and he quickly sits up. He looks around the room
and hops off the bed. He moves toward a window, where the sun
lightly shines in.

He looks around the entire room. No one.

FADE OUT.
