Prelude: The Discovery 
Set- Gulf of Mexico: Underwater 
Opening Sequence

(Sequence opens with a submarine in the deep waters of the Gulf of 
Mexico. It is very dark, the submarine is barely visible and all that 
can be clearly seen is the lights. The Narrator introduces the scene 
with a dark voice over)

Narrator: For hundreds of year's people thought creatures like the loch 
ness monster were a hoax, guess what, they were wrong. Everybody likes 
to think that they can believe what they see, but when they see what 
they believe, it will be the last thing they will ever see. People have 
reported seeing these so called "Lake Monsters" from the Mississippi 
river valley to the Ohio River valley. Scientist have sent doctors such 
as Dr. Dante Rehniyr Sr. and Dr. Tomilton down to investigate these 
creatures.

(Camera zooms into the front window of the submarine and focuses on Dr. 
Rehniyr and his crew of oceanographers)

Dr. Dante Rehniyr Sr.: Do you see anything

Dr. Combs: No



Dr. Dante Rehniyr Sr.: Well, we should keep looking

Dr. Tomilton: Check the periscope

Dr. Combs: Aye, Aye

Dr. Tomilton: You know Dr. Combs; I'm a scientist, not a captain.

(Dr. Tomilton looks out the window and can barely see anything; suddenly 
a dark long object passes the window. He stares at it with his mouth 
hanging open and begins to stutter while saying)

Dr. Tomilton: Um, D?D?Dr. Rehniyr you should come t?t?take a look at 
this.

(Dr. Rehniyr gets up out of his seat slowly and stares out the window 
eyeing the shadow passing the window. The other scientist quickly check 
the sonar)

Dr. Tomilton: What the h*** is that? 

Dr. Combs: Is it a whale, there are whales that can reach that?

(Dr. Rehniyr interrupts him)

Dr. Rehniyr: No it's defiantly not a whale, or a squid. I don't know 
what in Gods name this thing is.

Dr. Combs: Maybe it's a school of fish.

Dr. Tomilton: Now's not the time to be optimistic and hope for the best. 
This is no school of fish. There's just no way.

Dr. Tomilton: for Christ sake, the son of a B**** is circling around us

(All of a sudden, something slams into the left wall of the sub)

Dr. Combs: Did you feel that?


(Another banging is heard from the same side. The crew pauses in 
complete stillness. Something rams into the other side of the sub and a 
pipe bursts)

Dr. Rehniyr: We got flooding in the main deck; get some crew over there 
to fix it, right now.

(Crewmembers rush quickly over to the flooding compartment. Just then, a 
huge hole busts in the main deck and sucks everything out of the sub. As 
it creates a vacuum, the huge serpent like shadow's eye peeks in the 
front window of the sub and the screen goes pitch black. In a watery 
reflection, the words 12 Feet Deep are spelled out in an eerie fashion)

Chapter 1: Another Day
Set- Washington High School, Cincinnati Ohio
Act 1-

(After 12 feet Deep is spelled out, a drip of water falls through the 
letters and they explode into other drops of water, which quickly 
descend on the aerial shot of Cincinnati Ohio. The drips of water fall 
onto a sidewalk as raindrops. It is cloudy and is raining moderately. 
The camera focuses on the window of a high school classroom and zooms 
in. A teacher is seen talking to a class in which half of the students 
are sleeping. The Camera focuses in on a particular student, Marc, who 
is staring at the girl in front of him, right at her butt and she moves 
around in her seat. The girl is Christen)

Prof. Knowles (Teacher): And so students, who by the way aren't sleeping 
(He is staring at a student in the front row, Travis) we shall finish 
our discussion on various sea serpents next class. As for the remaining 
5 minutes, you can start on this homework.

(The students sigh; Marc is still staring at Christen)

Prof. Knowles: I know, I know. But this will help you for your quarterly 
exam. I expect you to know what serpents are poisonous and which are 
not. It's not that hard of an assignment. You wanted to take 
oceanography, but you shouldn't have expected to be this easy


(Marc starts talking to himself while looking at Christen. His friend 
Tony turns around and starts laughing dramatically at him)

Marc: D***, I'ma make that a** mine girl. You already know what I'm 
bout.

Tony: Will you shut up and stop having your wet dreams in the middle of 
class, at least take that s*** to the bathroom or something (He begins 
to laugh)

 Marc:Shut up, I wasn't even talking that loud?was I?

(A few other students are staring at him sarcastically. Christen starts 
to put her books away)

Tony: Why don't you just ask her out and get it over with, d***. You say 
you got all this game, but you never spit it? Playa (he laughs again)

(The bell for lunch rings)

Marc: you just wait; I'ma hit that s*** before you ever get a chance? 
playa (he says sarcastically)

(Marc picks up his lunch and puts his books back in his bag. Christen 
begins to walk out the classroom but he catches her attention before she 
can leave)

Marc: So Christen?

Christen: So Marc?

Marc: Oh yeah, I was just wondering' um? (He stares at Tony, who is 
sighing with humor as he watches him) I need some extra help with this 
worksheet and I was wondering? (Christen interrupts)

Christen: Any other time you never do your homework and you act like you 
don't give a s*** about school, and now you're asking me to help you do 
your homework?


Marc: Well, yeah. You see, since you're so smart and I usually talk to 
you a lot at lunch I figured' hell, why not help me with my homework?

Christen: Sure, anyway Marc. I don't think little boys that lie about 
needing help with class work but are really trying to get into your 
pants are very attracting. You should go for a different approach and 
maybe I'll consider taking you out. That was what you were going 
for?right?

Marc: you coulda' just said no, now you've ruined my self esteem (they 
start to laugh. Tony is in the background cracking up)

Christen: I'll see you at lunch, ok (she walks out of the room)

Marc: You know where to find me, why don't you call a brotha up 
sometime? (He yells out the door as she exits the classroom)

Tony: Oh boy, I knew your game sucked but I didn't think it was that 
bad, but d***, you lost playboy.

(They exit the classroom into the hallway and run into Marks friend 
Dante. Other kids are walking down the hall, fighting, cussing and 
making out. A normal day at school.)

Marc: I wish this day would just end, I'm sick of school

(A girl walks down the hallway in tight leather pants)

Dante: you also wish you could get some of that a** (He says as the girl 
walks past them)

Tony: Anyways? Marcs trippin over Christen

Dante: Christen who?

Tony: Christen Haiti

Dante: That blonde haired white girl, she stressing you



Marc: You know you want a piece of that a**. Admit it.

Dante: hell yeah, I'd hit it, I'd hit real quick

Tony: Well ladies, how about we finish this fine convo over the lunch 
table, shall we?

(The 3 of them walk down the stairs into the cafeteria and look for 
where their friends are sitting)

Act 2
(The scene opens up in the cafeteria. Sitting at the foreground table 
are Christen, Travis and Tamera.) 

Christen: So anyway, he walks up to me and asks me to help him with his 
homework, and I'm like "Is he ok," you know he never does his homework

Tamera: Well it just looks like someone likes you, besides Tony. 

Travis: And everybody else in the school

(Tony, Dante and Marc show up.)

Dante: W'sup people

Travis: Nothing, just ready to go home.

Dante: Fa' sho

Tamera: You know it's on tomorrow

(Another girl named Brooke and a kid named Jared approaches the table 
and sits down with them.)

Brooke: What's on for tomorrow?

Travis: the party, you know the spring fling. 


Tamera: Tomorrow at 8

Dante: What, you don't have a date Brooke

Brooke: how would I, if I'm just now hearing about it.

Jared: how could you not

Tony: We're all comin here tomorrow morning to help set up.

Marc: Yeah, since you ain't got a date or nothing you might as well help 
us. 

Tamera: Well, I already got my date, right baby. (She leans over on 
Travis's shoulder)

Travis: You already know girl.

Tony: Anyway?

Dante: Yeah, I'ma be here around 12 am and?

(Two more kids take a seat at the table, Eric and Max)

Max: S***, your gonna be up at 12 Dante

Eric: That's a first. 

Christen: Yeah, Max has got a point. I didn't even know that time 
existed for Dante

Dante: Look, do you want me there or not. D***. Eric, you sleep in till 
2 on weekends.

Marc: Just pointing something unusual out.

Dante: Then point at your d***.



Marc: Oh, you think you a funny N****.

Dante: You already know. Aye yo Brooke, Let me take you as my date, 
since you ain't got a man right now.

Brooke: Ok, whatever. Since this is a last minute thing.

Dante: So what's that mean, I'm a last minute man.

Travis: No, you a one-minute man.

Dante: And how would you know, anyways you're the one who busted all 
over Tamer?

Tamera: Moving on.

Tony: Thank you, you guys are gonna make me loose my lunch.

Dante: And loose something else

Max: I need one of you guys to give me a ride here tomorrow morning.

Tony: I'll hook you up man.

Max: Thanks

Tony: No prob.

Max: How bout you hook me up with some lunch money too.

(Tony reaches in his pocket and gives him $2)

Max: I owe you one. (He walks down the lunch line)

Tony: No, you owe me two

Act 3-



(The scene skips over to the newly built dam and reservoir. It is just 
outside Cincinnati, OH. This reservoir is said to hold various thing 
such as 8 miles of flood release water. This dam and reservoir started 
construction in 2003. A young man in his mid twenties, Sergeant Devon 
Porter walks up to an older man about in his late forties early fifties, 
Lt. Trace Carter.)

Devon Porter:  Lt. Carter, its about time for me to head down to 
Washington Park High School, Sir. 

Lt. Carter: Tell me again Devon, but why exactly are you go to 
Washington 
Park again.

Devon: I was invited to give a speech to the senior class. And I might 
have to stay there to do the same for the junior class, but I'll call 
and let you know.

Lt. Carter: Go ahead Mr. Porter.

Devon: Thank you, Sir. (Devon starts to walk towards his '95 Dodge Ram.

Lt. Carter: Aye Devon.

(Devon turns around and pulls out his car keys)

Devon: Yes, Sir.

Lt. Carter: Don't tell them anything about the creature's whereabouts or 
anything else restricted to civilians. Understood?

Devon: Yes, Sir. (Devon salutes and heads to his truck. Devon starts the 
car and heads down towards the main road.)

(A scientist, just a little bit older than Lt. Carter, walks up to him.)

Dr. Anderson: Lt. Carter, I presume.


Lt. Carter: Yes, I am.

Dr. Anderson: Hello, I'm Dr. Nicholas Anderson. (He shakes hands with 
Lt. Carter.) I must say that you will be pleased with what I'm about to 
show.

(The two walk over to the edge of the dam and where a crane is lowering 
something into the water.)

Lt. Carter: What the hell is that thing?

Dr. Anderson: The M-120. All it is is a giant serpent, with the brain of 
a human. We are putting it here for it to live until, well, someone 
either needs a brain transplant, or until it dies out. This creature has 
the ability to think... (Lt. Carter interrupts)

Lt. Carter: I know, I know already. It can think like a person with the 
I.Q. of 195-200 or some type of bull****. But the question is can this 
thing be destroyed.

Dr. Anderson: If you mean with gun, no, explosives, yes. Anything that 
is fire related can destroy this creature.

Lt. Carter: What's this things deal with fire?

Dr. Anderson: Well, I'll show you.

(They go below, into the dam, where scientist and observers can view the 
monster without it knowing they where even there. Like those mirrors 
where you can look in one side, but only see your reflection on the 
other. Lt. Carter and Dr. Anderson look out the window.)

Lt. Carter: Wait, wait, wait. You put a window underwater, on a dam.

Dr. Anderson: Goodness no. It's a one sided reflective mirror.

Lt. Carter: Oh.



Dr. Anderson: Now, the reason this creature can't stand fire is because 
like a tick. You know how if you caught a tick on fire it would pop. 
However, this thing won't pop; it explodes, because it also contains 
radiation, which also makes this creature radioactive.

Lt. Carter: I see

Dr. Anderson: Now Lt., let me show you some underwater footage of the M-
120 in action.

(He turns around, turns on the TV, and then the scene skips back to 
school, the bell rings)

Brooke: I swear, lunch seems shorter and shorter by the day

Tony: I know, well I see you in class. Peace ya'll

(Everyone picks up their belongings and exits the cafeteria and the 
scene ends.)

Chapter 2- the sighting
Set- Washington High School
Act 1-

(Tony and Travis enter the classroom and take their seats. Next to the 
teacher is a man that's about to give the class a presentation. The 
students are still carrying on their conversations and are not paying 
attention. The bell to begin the period rings.)

Ms. Jones (Teacher): Good evening class (The students keep talking and 
the teacher clears her throat) GOOD EVENING CLASS

(The students look at her and become silent, Tony whispers to Travis)

Tony: Great, now we gotta listen to this guy talk about a bunch if 
nothing.



Ms. Jones: Class I'd like to introduce you to Mr. Devin Porter. He is a 
specialist for a genetic organization called Byoneer. Since this is 
Anatomy class, I thought it would be appropriate for him to tell you a 
little bit about the science behind genetics.

Devin: How are you all doing today? First off, I'd like to tell you 
about what Byoneer is. Byoneer is an animal farm, and by that I mean we 
are a company that breeds animals that have organs in which we can use 
to transplant into humans. 

Brooke: So you're more of an organ farm.

Devin: Yes, you see. Since Congress passed the Genetics bill, we are now 
able to clone human organs and place them in animals for storing. So if 
someone had a brain tumor, we could go into the animal and use its brain 
to transfer into the human.

Tony: So you put a human brain in an animal. That's what I call 
dangerous. 

Devin: All of the animals are heavily contained and guarded: especially 
our new species, M-120.

Travis: What's M-120

Devin: M-120 is a serpent like creature that is holding the first human 
brain in it. There are only 5 of them. 

Tony: Whoa, hold up. You put a human brain in a freaking serpent, that's 
plain old stupid

Ms. Jones: Tony, watch it

Brooke: Well excuse me Mr. Porter, but why would you put a human brain 
in a killing machine. That's like giving a cobra as much knowledge as a 
human.



Devin: First of all, this is no ordinary snake. It's more like a sea 
serpent. We had to use it as a host because its Genetic molecules were 
the only organisms that would accept a human brain transfer. Use on any 
other animal would have failed and been proven non affective.

Ms. Jones: Ok, so where is this thing Mr. Porter

Devin: That's classified Ms. Jones 

Brooke: So there are only 5 of these things

Devin: Yes, 2 in the United States and 3 in South America. The area 
where they are held has maximum security. There's no way it could get 
out. 

Act 2-
Set- Byoneer genetics facility

(The scene cuts to the Byoneer genetic facility. It is located in the 
reservoir behind the Ohio River dam. The reservoir has a circumference 
of 8 miles. The facility is a very advanced structure. The lab is 
located on the first floor. The camera zooms into the security room. In 
the TV screen, an underwater picture of a school of fish is swimming.)

Scientist 1(Dr. Anderson): Now watch this

(All of the sudden a huge serpent like creature swallows the school of 
gold fish and swims away.)

Dr. Anderson: Amazing isn't it. The knowledge of a human, in the body of 
a sea serpent. 

Scientist 2: Yes indeed. Dr. Anderson. I'd like to introduce you to Lt. 
Trace Carter, a Marines specialist sent to investigate our procedures. 

Dr. Anderson: So, Lt. Did you find this video intriguing 

Lt. Carter: Yes Dr. it is amazing. But what I need to know is, is this 
facility qualified to contain this sort of organism.



Dr. Anderson: Why of course sir. This is one of the most heavily guarded 
facilities in the nation. Not to mention?(Lt. Carter interrupts him)

Lt. Carter: Excuse me Dr. but what I mean by qualified has to do with 
the actual facility. Not security. We already know that keeping this 
place guarded is already taken care of. 

Dr. Anderson: Well, yes. This building is the only one of its kind that 
is certified to hold such a creature. Not to mention that this huge dam 
serves as a second hand guard. I assure you, there's nothing to worry 
about. 

Lt. Carter: Just doing my job. The government has asked us to keep an 
Eye on Byoneer for its first few months. We're amazed by how far you've 
carried out your procedures in such short time. 

Dr. Anderson: Lt, you have yet to be amazed, for this is only our 
beginning phase.

(The scene cuts back to Washington high school where Devin porter is 
still in the class.)

Act 3-
Set: Washington high school

Devin: Are there any more questions

Travis: Is it time to leave

Ms. Jones: TRAVIS?

(Just then the bell rings and the kids pack up their belongings.)

Travis: D***, I thought that dude would never shut-up

Tony: Um?Travis (Tony aims Travis's direction toward Ms. Jones, who is 
staring at him.) 


Ms. Jones: Travis, I'd like a word with you.

Travis: I'll catch you later Tony.

Tony: Ok, see ya lata. (Tony exits the classroom while Travis stays. The 
scene then cuts back to the Byoneer Lab behind the Ohio River dam.)

Dr. Anderson: So you are pleased with our facilities.

Lt. Carter: Yes indeed Dr. Anderson, but I neglected to mention the 
other reason I'm here. Byoneer has ordered us to quarantine one of the 
M-120's at our own laboratories.

Dr. Anderson: And the reason for this is?

Lt. Carter: Just to perform some standardized tests. After we're 
finished we'll send it right back here.

Dr. Anderson: And you'll be doing this when?

Lt. Carter: Tomorrow morning, everything has already been arranged. 

(The screen then coincides with the T.V. and shows the serpents shadow 
move through the water quickly. The scene ends)

Chapter 3- the wake up call
Set- Tony's house
Act 1- 

(The scene opens up focusing on an alarm clock. It rings and a hand hits 
it turning it off. Just then the telephone rings and Tony gets out of 
bed and answers it.)

Tony: (Yawning) Hello

Max: (On the phone) You on your way.



(Tony looks at his clock and its 12:00)

Tony: Oh s***man, my bad. I'm just now waking up.

Max: What?

Tony: I'll be there in like 20 minutes man.

Max: Ok

(Tony hangs up the phone and begins to get dressed. The scene then skips 
over to Dante's house. His cell phone rings.)

Dante: Hello

Marc: (On the phone) Aye yo, can you give me a ride.

Dante: Yeah, I'll be there in like 10 minutes.

Marc: Cool. Hey I though you were gonna be over there at 12.

Dante: No, I said I'd be up at 12

Marc: No, you said you'd be there at 12

Dante: N**** do want a ride or not?

Marc: Aight sorry, d***.

Act 2-
Set: Byoneer laboratories
 
(The scene switches over to Byoneer labs.) 

Dr. Anderson: Awe, Lt. Carter. Right on time.

Lt. Carter: Of course, we're gonna need this crane to pull M-120 out of 
the water.


Devin Porter: One thing Lt., when will we be getting it back, and just 
what tests are you going to be administering on it.

Lt. Carter: That's classified Mr. Porter. It's just not my place to tell 
you.

Devin: Well, what exactly is Byoneer hiding from us.

Lt. Carter: I can't say sir.

Dr. Anderson: Mr. Porter, I'm sure M-120 will be in best hands at the 
Byoneer headquarters for?how long are you keeping it.

Lt. Carter: For a week, and we're not taking it to the Byoneer 
headquarters.

Dr. Anderson: Then where are you taking it.

Lt. Carter: Classified sir.

(The scene then switches to Marcs house. Dante knocks on the door and 
Marc opens it.)

Marc: Just a second, it gotta get my cell phone. You can come in.

(Dante walks into the kitchen and looks on the counter.)

Dante: Marc, you stole my pocketknife man. I've been looking for this 
forever (he puts it in his pocket)

Marc: You let me borrow it.

Dante: When?

Marc: Umm?

Dante: That's what I thought



Marcs: Lets just go.

(They get in the car and head for Washington High School.) 

Act 3- 
Set- Washington High School

(The scene then switches over to the High School where Tony, Max, 
Christen and Brooke are already working on the scenery for the upcoming 
dance. Tony looks at his watch.)

Tony: Dante said he'd be here early today, I knew that was too good to 
be true.

(Just then, Tamera, Travis, Jared and James come in.)

Travis: What's up people

Christen: Hey guys.

Tamera: Is everybody already here?

Max: Everyone except for you know who and his friend.

Tamera: Who, Dante. I shoulda known he wouldn't get here early 

(Just that moment Dante and Marc walk in)

Dante: Yeah, Dante is here.

Tony: Late

Dante: Jesus, I'm 5 freaking minutes late. What's the big deal?

Max: You said you'd be here before all of us. 

Marc: See Dante, I told you.



Dante: Brooke and Eric aren't here yet, why don't you bi**** at them 
when they show up.

Tony: They went to pick up supply

James: Look, there they are now. (He points to Brooke and Eric walking 
in. They are carrying some boxes.)

Tony: You guys need some help.

Brooke: Yeah, there's some more stuff in Eric's car.

Eric: yeah, could you and someone else go out and help carry it in.

Dante: I'll go; I ain't welcome here anyway. Tony, bring yo' a**.

Tony: Ok, be right there.

(Tony and Dante walk out to Eric's car and get some more boxes out of 
his trunk.)

Dante: So Tony, has Christen been givin you any lately.

Tony: Yeah right, I wish. I don't think she likes me like that.

Dante: Yeah she do.

Tony: Actually, lately it seems like she paying attention to other 
people.

Dante: So she's cheatin?

Tony: No, We're not even going out.

Dante: Sure seems like it.

Tony: I already told you, we're just best friends. We've never gone out. 



Dante: Well If I was you, I'd be trying to get up in them panties. Know 
what I sayin

Tony: Oh yeah, I know what your sayin. 

Act 4- 

(They pick up the boxes and head back inside the school. As they walk 
into the school they run into there friends Casey and Jordan.) 

Jordan: Tony, Dante what's up?

Tony: Just getting this s*** for Eric, what you guys doing here?

Casey: Well, we decided to come and help

Dante: Good, cause we need it.

Casey: You guys seen Max

Tony: Yeah, he's already inside helping set up.

Casey: Oh, ok.

(They all walk inside the building into the cafeteria. Casey and Jordan 
spot Max.)

Casey: Max, w'sup playboy.

Max: Haha, w'sup man. What're you guy's doing here?

Jordan: Just decided to help.

Max: Cool man, well. You wanna help then follow me over to the 
Auditorium so we can get all the scenery and s***. Brooke, Casey you 
guys come too.

Brooke: Ok, come on Casey.



Tony: Don't be too long cause we need to hurry up and get this done.

(The scene ends.)

Chapter 4- The Disaster
Set-The dam and reservoir
Act 1-

(The scene opens up with a crane pulling up to the edge of the dam. Lt. 
Carter and Devon Porter are standing and watching until Dr. Anderson 
shows up)

Dr. Anderson: Um, Lt., how do expect to get a creature like this into 
that crane?

Lt. Carter: Just leave that to me. 

(He looks at a guys standing at the edge of the water and nods his head. 
The man at the edge nods his head in response. The man waves his arm as 
another crane approaches the edge. But this cranes has a net holding 
fish in it. The crane lowers the fish into the water.)

Dr. Anderson: I think I should go below and see if everything goes well. 

(Lt. Carter just nods, and Dr. Anderson heads below. It soon skips over 
to Dr. Anderson looking out the window. It then skips back over to Devon 
and Carter watching from above. Devon looks up in the sky and sees storm 
clouds. Really dark gray storm clouds.)

Devon: Looks like a thunderstorm is headed our way, sir.

Lt. Carter: Your not afraid, are you sergeant?

Devon: No, Sir.

Lt. Carter: I didn't think so. 



(Carter walks a little closer toward the edge, and then crosses his 
arms. As one of the monster heads towards the fish, the other crane 
lowers, into the water after the creature. Everybody forgot one major 
detail. The serpents have an I.Q. of 195-200. So another creature grabs 
hold of the crane and pulls it under. Devon and Lt. Carter, stare at 
each other then run to the edge to see what happened. The other monster 
next to the fish grabs the fish and also pulls the crane under. Devon 
and Lt. Carter dive out the way so the crane doesn't hit them. The two 
monsters with the crane throw them into the mirror. Like a human would 
ask, why the hell would they put a mirror underwater?  
The two cranes go through the mirror killing Dr. Anderson and every one 
else in there.  The two cranes also creates and explosion which blows a 
big hole right in the middle of the dam. Water flows out of the dam and 
down the streets. The ground begins to quake as Carter and Devon stand 
up. They look at their feet and see that the ground is breaking. They 
waste no time and run to get off the dam. Just a millisecond after they 
get off, a big hole in the dam burst open and even more water flows out 
the dam. Not only does the water flow out the monster flow out too. 
There are even bigger problems now. Not only has the monster escaped, 
but the flow of water is headed straight for Cincinnati, The center of 
trade in Ohio. The water rushes down the streets. 
Car alarms are going off, cars and trucks are being flipped over and 
buildings are engulfed in water. People are running screaming and being 
hit by trucks and such. The scene skips over to two little boys 
dribbling a basketball down the street.)

Boy1: So, are you coming over to my house for the weekend or not. (Says 
while dribbling a basketball.)

Boy2: Yeah I guess...(A distant rumbling is heard then gets louder. boy 
2 interrupted by boy1)

Boy1: You hear that?



(Both boys turn around and see the water rushing down the streets. Both 
boys drop what they're doing and begin running down the street in tears 
and afraid to die. The cut into the nearest back alley and run down it. 
The boys come to a gate. They jump it. Then they come to an intersection 
and see that water is flowing down the alley to their left they run 
straight ahead into an apartment building and close the door behind 
them. The Scene skips back to the flood creating a disaster. The water 
continues to create terror and worse yet, the sky is dark and there is a 
thunderstorm.)

Act 2
Set-Washington Park High School

(The scene then skips over to the kids working at the high school.
The kids are still helping out with the party. A loud rumbling is heard 
and water begins to rush past the window. Marc takes a step towards the 
window and looks out it.)

Marc: Close the windows and seal 'em tight.

(Marc sees a boat pass by with a fisherman on it fishing. Marc points a 
thumb at it and gives a confused look at his friends. His friends just 
shrug. Everyone does what Marc said.)

David: Now what?

Marc: We move to higher ground because this place is gonna flood real 
quick.

(The kids make their way towards the steps. Then they hear a rumbling. A 
small flood of water only ankle deep makes its way across the floor.)

David: Man, I thought it was gonna be more than that.

Tony: Oh it will. Just thank God that the doors are all locked.

Dante: Uh oh!

Christen: Uh oh, uh oh, what do you mean, uh oh?

Dante: As me and Tony came in from carrying the boxes in, we ran into 
Casey and Jordan...



Chris: ...AND?

Dante: ...I forgot to lock the door behind me.

(Everyone looks at him)

David: It wouldn't matter anyway, lock or no lock, its still just a door

Jared: Yeah, that water would bust through there any other way.

Chris: We gotta move!

Tamara: But we can barely see anything.

Tony: Hold on, I know were there's a flashlight.

(Tony puts everything back on the floor and heads back into the room. He 
comes back a few minutes late with a flashlight.)

Tony: Got it.

Marc: aight lets move.

(All of a sudden, another rumbling is heard, but this time, the water 
isn't ankle deep, it's at least, 7 feet high.)

Chris: RUN!

(All the kids start running towards the steps, just to escape the 
rushing water. They reach the steps and run up them until the reach 
level two.)

Marc: Now what do we do?

Tony: First, someone is going to have to swim down to the fuse box and 
reset the circuit breakers.

(They all look at David.)



David: Me?

Travis: No, the guys behind you. (Says sarcastically)

(Dante looks behind him)

Dante: Nobodies behind him, its just David. (Trying to be funny)

(Travis looks at Dante funny.)

Tony: Come on Dave. No one else knows how to work a fuse box in here 
beside you.

Christen: Please, David. 

(Christen gives David one of those, "I'll give you pleasure if you do 
this for me" look.)

David: (Sighs) Alright...

(Christen gives him a smile.)

David: ...But I know I'm gonna regret this.

Tony: No you won't. This is your good friend Tony talking to you. Aight?

David: Alright.

(David and Tony give each other fives. Then David gets in the water.)

David: Hey, Tony. Let me see your flashlight.

(Tony tosses David his flashlight)

Dante: Aye, by the way, where is Brooke, Max and them?



Tony: I don't know. They went to go get something but I don't know 
where.

Marc: Will someone come with me to find another flashlight?

Dante: Yeah, I'll come wit you.

Marc: Aight lets go.

(They head down the hall to a classroom that's open.)

Marc: Look in the drawers and s***, aight Dante? Dante? DANTE!
 
Dante: What! 

(Dantes got a paperclip in his mouth)

Marc: What the hell are you doing?

Dante: Oh. Turning these paperclips into lock picks. See 

(He shows Marc his lock pick.)

Marc: Why?

Dante: You'll never know when you might need it.

Marc: (Aside) Whatever?dumba**. Anyways, I can't find one.

Dante: Me neither.

Marc: N**** you didn't even look.

Dante: I don't even need to, cause I know there ain't another one.

Marc: Well, we better get back to the gang. Lets go. Dante!

Dante: WHAT N****!



Marc: Lets go!

Dante: Oh my bad!

(Marc shakes his head and walks out the door with Dante behind him. They 
jog back to the other who are waiting for David. The scene skips to 
David. He is swimming at a slow speed and hears something. He turns 
around quickly.)

David: Hello?

(He just shrugs and swims at a faster speed to reach the breakers. He 
comes to the box. He tries to open it but it's locked.)

David: (Aside) d***! (Pause, Aside) S***. 

(He looks around for something to open it up with. He finds nothing)

David: D***it. Oh well.

(He starts heading back.)

Act 3-

(The scene skips back to the guys on the second floor.)

Tamara: Where is he?

Travis: I don't know.

(They hear a splash and see a light)

Christen: Look, here he comes.

(David steps on the steps.)

Tony: What happened?



David: The box was locked.

Dante: Why didn't you pick the lock?

David: well I would have if I had a lock pick.

Dante: Where are we gonna get a lock pick.

(Marc looks at Dante the slaps him upside his head.)

Dante: What?

Marc: You got a lock pick dumb***.

Dante: But it's mine. 

Marc: B**** give him your d*** pick.

Dante: Oh fine. 

(Dante pulls his lock pick out his pocket and gives it to David.)

David: Thanks

(Dante just nods. Then David makes his way back to the breakers.)

Dante: That was my good friend.

Marc: Dante...

Dante: Yeah?

Marc: ...Shut the hell up.

Dante: Get these nuts b****.



(The scene skips to David just now pulling up to the circuit breakers. 
He begins to pick the lock. There is a click and David swings opens the 
breaker box door. As he begins to reset the breakers, the camera goes in 
first person view of the monster slowly creeping up behind him. The 
lights click back on. David closes the box. He hears a small short 
growl. David freezes. Then he pulls up enough courage to turn around, 
hoping its just someone playing a trick on him, he turn around and sees 
nothing. He wades in the water and takes a look around. He then hears a 
click and hears the squeaking of the fuse box opening. David turns 
around and sighs. David slams the fuse box. He turns backs around and 
sees it. THe most horrible thing imaginable. He tries to scream but 
before he can, the screen goes black and the scene ends.) 

Chapter 5- What is it?
Set- Washington High School
Act 1- 

(The lights begin to flicker on and off, and suddenly the power goes 
out.)

Travis: Yo, what the hell is he doing?

Tony: And what the hell is taking him so long?

(The scene skips back over to the breakers with what looks like a tooth 
hole in it. Sparks fly out.)

Christen: You guys need to be more patient, I mean it's kind of a long 
way from here to the generator room.

Chris: Yeah, but not 15 minutes away.

Dante: Stop worrying, I bet the power lines outside got cut off, that's 
why there's no power.

Tamera: I'm more worried about him than the electricity.

Dante: Well stop being worried because here he comes, I can see the 
light from his flashlight.



(The light from the flashlight gets brighter as it approaches the group 
and the kids are certain it's David.)

Tony: Hey David, what happ?

(Just as Tony begins to speak, the flashlight surfaces with only a hand 
grabbing it. The hand was all that was left of David. Everyone jumps 
back.Christen covers her mouth and closes her eyes. She re-opens them.)

Tony: OH S***.

Tamera: WHERE THE HELL'S THE REST OF HIM?
(Tony runs up to the water but Tamera pulls him back.)

Tony: What are you doing, let me go so I can get him.

Tamera: Tony he's gone.

Tony: I promised him, I promised him that?

Tamera: I know Tony, I know 

(Christen hugs him.)

James: What the hell is in that water

Eric: The question is, what the hell could've done that?

James: I'm not staying here to find out

Tony: Well it looks like we will be staying, because swimming is the 
only way out of here.

Christen: And this place is still flooding

(She looks down and sees that the water is ankle high.)



Eric: And when the water gets high enough, what ever is in there will be 
able to swim around each floor.

(Just the Casey runs down the steps to everyone.)

Casey: Guys!

Marc: Casey. You alright.

Casey: No. its Jordan.

Tony: What about Jordan? Is he alright?

Casey: He's Dead.

Tamera: How. 

Casey: Well...

(He looks into the water and sees the hand floating. He takes steps 
towards the steps.)

Casey: Whay the f*** is that.

Tony: That was David.(Long Pause) Now what about Jordan.

Casey: Oh yeah. Well Him and Max where looking out the window and saw 
this thing. I don't want to know.

Tony: But how did Jordan die?!

Casey: It was M...



(Before he could say anything else, a long scaley serpent like creature 
with horrible bright yellow eyes bops out and grabs Casey an pulls him 
under water. The water then turns blood red. You could tell that the 
monster has just eaten Casey. Everybody screams and head for the room 
that Marc and Dante were in.) 

Trey: We gotta get outta here!

Tony: the schools already flooded outside, the water from out there is 
all coming in through the first floor.

Tamera: So when we get outside, it'll be flooded up to the roof.

Tony: That's the problem, we gotta get up to higher ground so we can get 
out of here before the water reaches the roof outside, because the water 
inside will be up to the top floor by then.

Marc: Really, we don't know what the condition is outside.

Eric: Lets go to the Audio/Video lab and see if we can contact the 
outside.

Tony: Good idea lets go.

Act 2-

(The scene opens up in the Audio/Video room. The camera is focused on 
the doorknob. The keyhole slowly begins to turn and it opens. Dante just 
picked the lock so the kids could get in. All of them walk in)

Tony: Ok, we're looking for a phone or something

Tamera: Why don't we use our cell phones to call the police?

Tony: Because the police station and Cincinnati Bell are gone.

Trey: So we're really screwed.

Chris: Yeah, we have no contact to the outside world, we have no way to 
swim out of here and we still don't know what the hell killed David and 
Casey.



(While they are talking, Marc is looking through desks and drawers. He 
opens a cabinet and finds a battery operated pocket radio.)

Marc: Hey guys, look.

Tony: What'd you find?

Marc: A little radio, I hope it works.

(Marc turns on the radio, the reception's fuzzy but it works.)

Marc: Yes, ok we can pick up a Dayton station from here and maybe that 
will tell us just what the hell happened here.

(Marc skims through the stations until he finds a news channel.)

Marc: here we go!

Tony: Shhhh, everybody listen.

(Reporter on the radio: We're in a helicopter circling the downtown area 
of Cincinnati, or at least what's left of it. As you can see the William 
H. Taft dam has completely collapsed and the 8-mile perimeter Byoneer 
Reservoir is still emptying into the Ohio River. We're still searching 
for survivors and?wait a minute, this just in. We have just received 
news that in the reservoir Byoneer was storing a speci?ne...t? The radio 
dies.)

Dante: D***it.

Tony: Oh my god, Oh my god.

Dante: What is it?
 
Tony: that's what it was.

Christen: What?



Tony: that's what got David and Casey

Christen: What got David and Casey?

Tony: Travis, remember that guy that came into our class from Byoneer?

Travis: Yeah

Tony: Remember that thing he told us about?

Travis: yeah, why?Oh s***.

Tony: Yeah, I think that's what they were storing behind the dam.

Christen: And if the dam collapsed then that means?oh s***.

Tony: Yeah, we're in deep s***.

Dante: but why would that thing come all the way here, out of the whole 
city why'd it come here.

Tony: How am I supposed to know?

Chris: Look, we don't know for a fact if that was what killed them.

Tony: I have a pretty good feeling 

Chris: Well I have a pretty bad feeling. I'm not staying here to find 
out whether that thing is out there or not.

Marc: yeah, we need to get moving. The waters almost knee high.

Tony: Alright lets go.

(The group makes their way out of the A/V room and down the hallway. The 
scene ends.)



Chapter 6-Seperation
Set- Washington High School
Act 1-

(The scene opens up with the kids making their way down the hallway. All 
of the sudden they stop.)

Tony: Ok, look you guys. We're running on a tight schedule. We need to 
find a way out of here and we need to find Brooke, Max, and Jordan; so 
we need to move fast. 

Eric: How about we split up.   One group looks for Brooke, Max and them, 
and the other group looks for a way outta here. We'd move along a lot 
quicker that way

Travis: Hell no, we don't split up. What the hells wrong with ya'll 
white kids and splitting up.

Tamera: I know right. 

Trey: Look; if we do it this way we have a better chance of getting out 
of here right Tony?

Tony: I?I don't know. I mean we shouldn't separate.

Eric: Yes we should. Look me; James, Travis, Tamera and Trey will look 
for Brooke and Max. Tony, you Chris, Dante, Jared, Christen and Marc 
look for a way out of here.

Trey: Yeah you see that's big enough groups.

Tony: Well, O?Ok I guess.

Travis: Well, Dante, Marc, Tamera, looks like we're gonna die.

Dante: No we won't, plenty of other black people have gone through s*** 
like this and still survived.



Tamera: Like who?

Dante: Like...um..(thinks)...na,na he died...Um (thinks again.) No he 
got shots.Ummm...

(Dante stands there and thinks for a moment.)

Dante: Never mind, we gonna die.

Tony: Ok look, my group and me are gonna head to the next level and look 
for a way out. Eric, you guys should stay on this level a little bit 
more and look for Brooke, Max and them. When the water gets to high head 
for higher ground.

Eric: Ok, so where are you guys going now

Tony: To the main balcony, we'll take the stairs up from there. 

Eric: Ok, lets head out.

Dante: Wait. Why can't we just jump out the window. 

Tony: For four good reasons. 1) That thing could be out there, 2) We 
would be swimming for a long time, 3) if we do jump out the window, some 
one could come here to find survivorsbut we wont be here.

Tamera: What's four?

Tony: Number four, I'm going back to what I said first. That thing could 
be out there. Now lets go.

(Tony, Christen, Jared, Dante, Chris and Marc head for the main 
balcony.)

Christen: No, we're not splitting up



(Eric, Tamera, Travis, Trey and James head to the east wing to look for 
Brooke, Max, Casey and Jordan. The scene switches to Tony's group headed 
toward the balcony.)

Act 2- 

Christen: I can't believe we split up.

Tony: Don't worry Chrissie; we'll get out of here soon as we?

(They approach the balcony and see that it's flooded, to get to the 
other side of the stairway heading up they have to swim to it.)

Jared: Oh s***.

Tony: Oh s*** is right.

Chris: I'm not swimming across there; I'm not ending up like David.

Tony: Look you guys, we have to get across there. It's not that long of 
swim.

Dante: Uh yeah, there's at least a row of lockers from these stairs to 
the other side of the stairway. That's long enough for me. 

Christen: Yeah, I don't' wanna swim through there either.

Jared: Look how dark it is.

Tony: How about, someone go through first and see if it's safe.

(They all look at Dante.)

Dante: Me

Jared: No, the Dante standing behind you.

Dante: I'm not going through there.

Jared: You have to see if it's safe.


Dante: Let ya momma see if it's safe or not.

Chris: Just go man.

Jared: Yeah, if you go first and you die then we'll know not to go

Dante: Hey Jared

Jared: What

Dante: How bout you bl*w me so I can get a good pleasure before I die.

Jared: F*** NO

Dante: THEN SHUT THE F*** UP.

Christen: Dante, come on baby. Just go. Do it for me

(Christen gives Dante the sexy look.)

Dante: Don't try to seduce me into going through there. I'm not doing 
it.

(The scene then skips to Dante swimming in the water.)

Dante: I can't believe I'm doing this s***.

(Tony yells from the balcony.)

Tony: You all right Dante.

Dante: NO, now shut up and don't talk to me.

(Dante makes his way across the dark water. The stairway is dark as 
well, he can barley see a foot in front of him.)

Dante: Almost there.



(Just then. He feels an eerie feeling in the pit of his stomach as 
something begins to blow bubbles on him. He slowly turns around.)

Dante: Tony is that y?

(Directly staring at him are two glowing yellow eyes waiting for him to 
make the right move so it can attack. Just then Tony jumps in the 
water.)

Tony: DANTE HOLD ON.

Christen: TONY WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

Tony: YOU DON'T SEE THAT?

(Dante tries to swim to the other stairwell as fast as he can, but the 
serpent side winds and blocks his way. Dante turns around and heads back 
to the other stair way but his jacket gets caught on the railing. The 
serpent jolts right toward Dante, but then Tony pulls Dante's shirt free 
and they head back to the other stairway where the group is. They climb 
over the rails and fall on the ground right in front of the other kids.)

Tony: (Coughing and gasping for air) W?W?What the hell was that

Chris: What the hell was what?

Dante: Y?you didn't see that thing chasing us?

Marc: Its too dark over there to see anything.

Dante: Holy s***, Holy s*** was what that.

Tony: I?I don't know, I'm just, I'm just?

Christen: Calm down baby. 

(She runs over and holds Tony. Marc pulls Dante off of the ground.)



Dante: Something was chasing us, something was freakin' chasing us.

(Chris leans over the rail to take a peak.)

Chris: There's nothing over there.

Dante: CHRIS SOMETHING WAS CHASING US, YOU F***ING THINK I'M MAKING THIS 
UP?

Chris: I think you're scared of your own f***ing shadow, you too Tony.

Dante: You're the one that said there was something in there, and now 
you don't believe us. 

(Chris leans over the rail again.)

Chris: I don't see anything you guys.

Marc: Chris stop leaning over the rail, that's not a good idea.

Chris: Shut-up Marc, I think we can swim across there.

Tony: Why are you all of the sudden changing your mind?

Chris: Because I wanna get the hell outta here!

Christen: Chris, stop.

Chris: F*** you guys I'm leaving.

(Before Chris can even finish the serpent rises above the rail and rips 
Chris's head off his body as his spinal chord trails behind his head 
into the water. Blood goes everywhere and Chris's body falls on the 
ground headless. Christen screams. Tony who is standing by the railing 
backs away, slips on the water and hits his head on the ground knocking 
him out.)



Marc: F***

Jared: Oh s***, what the, what the h?

Christen: Oh my god.

Marc: I?I told him. I f***in told him not to lean over the rail.

(Dante and Jared run over to Tony who is lying on the ground. They shake 
him and try to wake him up.)

Jared: Come on Tony get up.

Christen: What is it?

Dante: He's out; he hit his head or something.

Christen: get him up and let's get the hell outta here, come on.

(Dante and Jared pick up Tony and the group runs away from the stairway 
balcony. The scene ends.)

Chapter 7- Survival of the fittest
Set- Washington High School
Act 1

(The scene opens in a science lab. It is very dark and water is on the 
ground ankle high. Tony is laying on a table and Jared, Christen, Marc, 
and Dante are surrounding him)

Marc: Are you aight Tony?

Tony: Wha?. what?the f***...was that?

Jared: I ain't got one f***in idea! But I'm not stayin around long 
enough to find out either!



Dante: See, if I jus' stayed my lazy a** home, I wouldn't have to go 
through this bull****!

 Jared: You a f***in dumb***! If you had stayed home, yo lazy a** would 
have drowned m**turb**ing in the bathroom!!

(Dante looks at Jared with an evil glare)

Dante: Listen kid! I would rather die drownin then end up some ugly 
creature's entree!

Jared: Well I hope you know that drowning is a worse way to die than 
being eaten!

Dante: Well let me tell you that I'd rather die drowning than be like 
Chris!

Jared: Well than I'd like to see you struggling under water!

Dante: You struggle tryin to get girls numbers, watch that instead!

Tony: WHY DON'T BOTH OF YOU SHUT UP!!!

Christen: You guys have wasted most of our time arguing than trying to 
figure this out.

Tony: Figure what out.

Christen: Figure out what this thing is.

Tony: Oh, we know what it is; it is the lake monster the Dr. Porter and 
Ms. Jones was talking about. We know that it eats people, we know how 
smart it is and we know that it is in the school. But we don't know why 
it's in the school.

Marc: Tony, you ready to get tha f*** up outta here?

Tony: I've been ready, come on lets get the hell outta here.



Jared: Alright, there's an elevator 2 hallways down and if that doesn't 
work, then there's a stairway in the west wing.

Marc: Dante and me will go to the elevator and try that first. The rest 
of you should go to the stairway, so incase anything happens there will 
be someone left.

Act 2- 
(The scene flashes over to Eric, James, Tamera, Trey and Travis on the 
lower level. The water is waste high, and is rising very, very quickly. 
They see Chris's headless, spineless body floating in the water. The 
water is very bloody. The cast approaches the body in disgust. Travis 
walks up to the body)

Tamera: Oh s***

(Travis grabs Chris's wrist and checks for a pulse. There obviously 
isn't one)

Travis: Yep, he dead. He ain't got no pulse

Trey: No s*** he's dead. He ain't even got a head.

Travis: Well, you can never be too sure nowadays

Tamera: Wha? Wha? What the hell H? H? happened to him.

Trey: Whachu think, he got his head cut off

Eric: By what. What the hell took his f***in head off?

Travis: And his spinal cord.

(Trey looks at all the bloody water. It rising and is now elbow high)

James: Lets move ya'll. This levels flooding too quickly. We better get 
outta here before one of us ends up like Chris, headless, spineless?



Travis: ?Dead. Lets go.

Act 3-
(The scene cuts Dante and Marc walking down the hallway on the upper 
level. They are approaching the elevator. The water is rushing against 
their ankles. There are 2 Auditorium doors and water is heavily flowing 
from underneath them. They walk past the double doors. The doors have 
two vertical windows in the middle of them. Marc peeps in the window and 
sees the auditorium is completely flooded. The door begins to creak. 
Marc freezes and then slowly moves closer to get a better look.)

Marc: D?D?Dante.

Dante: Yeah

Marc: (Starts moving backwards) how fast can you run?

(They start running down the hallway as fast as they can as the doors 
bust open behind them. The water races them down the hallway. They run 
to the nearest right angle hallway. It seems as if the water is chasing 
them. They criss cross the hallway looking for an unlocked door. When 
they see that all are locked, Dante takes out a paper clip, jams it into 
the keyhole and picks the laboratory door open. They rush in and close 
it, just as the water hits the door. The door to the lab has a glass 
window in the middle of it and they see the water slam into the door as 
it fills up the hallway)

Dante: S***, now we're trapped. I knew we shoulda stayed at home. We 
black, we gonna die. Oh my god.

Marc: WILL YOU SHUT UP

Dante: But we're black

Marc: JUST CHILL OUT let me think of something.



(The water is putting a huge amount of pressure on the door. The camera 
quickly switches to first person view of the monster in the hallway. Its 
an underwater view and the serpent is making its way straight to the 
lab.)

Marc: Dante, you see that up there? (He points to an airshaft)

Dante: (Looks up) yeah

Marc: Yeah, you know what to do.

Dante: No, what

Marc: Lets go through the air vent N****.

Dante: Oh you think your Indiana Jones now.

(The 2 climb up shelves in the classroom and Dante takes his pocketknife 
and pops the screws off of the vent gate. Just then, something bangs on 
the door. Both of them freeze)

Dante: What was that?

(The door bangs again. The scene switches back over to the other team on 
the lower level headed towards the steps. They are now under 12 ft of 
water. While under the water, each of the teens feels a bubble breath 
breathing down their necks. Each of the kids starts to swim faster until 
they approach the flooded stairway. Each of them swims upward to the 
surface level of the next floor)

Eric: Come on Tamera, Trey hurry up.

Tamera: What the hell do you think I'm tryin to do?

Trey: You go first Tamera, I'm right behind you.

(Tamera starts staring at something that is swimming straight towards 
Trey. She freezes and looks Trey dead in the eyes)



Tamera: T?T?Trey, L?L?Look behind you

Trey: What

(He turns around and looks at a serpent head straight for him. As he 
tries to climb out of the water, the serpent grabs him. Tamera grabs his 
arm and tries to pull him up. Right when Tamera pulls him, his arm rips 
off and she flies backwards and lands on her back. The rest of Trey gets 
pulled under water. Tamera screams)

Tamera: OH MY GOD, WHAT THE F*** WAS THAT. OH MY F****N GOD.

(Travis hugs Tamera, James sighs and Eric is frozen in place staring at 
the water)

James: Holy S***, w?w?what the f*** was that? Did you see that? What was 
that?

Eric: I?I?I?don't know. I don't know 'bout ya'll but I've worn out my 
welcome here. I'm getting the f*** out. 

Travis: Yeah, come on guys lets go. (Tamera clutches on to him harder) 
RIGHT NOW, COME ON!

Chapter 8: The bad news
Set- Washington High School 
Act 1-

(While Eric's group is on the third floor, Christen, Tony, and Jared are 
headed for the stairs headed to the third floor on the opposite side of 
the building were Eric's group went up. They reach the stairs while 
under 12-½ ft of water. They begin to head up the steps with Jared 
leading. As Jared runs up the steps he does not see that part of the 
steps are missing. He falls over the edge, but Tony grabs his hand. 
Jared is still hanging over the ledge. Jared looks down into the water 
below him and he sees the shadow of the serpent. Tony eventually gathers 
enough strength to pull Jared to safety.)



Jared: D***. Thanks Tony.

Tony: No problem.

Christen: Yes there is a problem we're trapped here. We can't go down 
cause that thing is down there, and we can't jump across cause its too 
far. 

(Tony and Jared look over the ledge at the monster. Then Jared looks at 
Tony)

Jared: So what are we gonna do now?

(Tony just shakes his head. It skips to the scene where Marc and Dante 
are still trying to pop open the vent shaft)

Dante: D*** this is hard to get off!

Marc: I'll call Tony on his cell to see if him and the others are aight 
and see if they have any ideas. 

(Marc pull his cell phone out of his pocket and dials Tony's number. It 
skips to Tony and his cell phone rings. He picks it up)

Tony: Hello?

(It goes back to Marc)

Marc: Tony? Tony thank god I found you. Umm, we've got trouble?

(Back to Tony)

Tony: What?

(Back to Marc)



Marc: Umm see we where headed towards the elevator and then a big wave 
of water came and chased us down the hall and now we're trapped in the 
science lab, and, we have also got company banging on our door?

(Back to Tony) 

Tony: What do you mean?

(Back to Marc)

Marc: In other words, the grim reaper is here. And by that I mean, the 
creature is here, banging on the lab door.

(Back to Tony)

Tony: Wait. You mean that the creature is there at the science lab?

(To marc)

Marc: Yeah

(The scene goes back to Tony. Tony looks back over the ledge and sees 
that the creature is still there waiting for them.)

Tony: Hold on, that's impossible. The creature is here?Oh My God!

(Back to Marc)

Marc: What?

(Back to Tony. Tony doesn't reply. You can hear Marc on the other line 
saying hello. 
Tony still does not reply and hangs his phone up and puts it back in his 
pocket. It goes back to Marc. He stares confused at his cell phone. He 
shakes his head and puts it back in his pocket. It goes back to Tony and 
them)

Christen: What? What is it?



Tony: I've got some bad news.

Jared: What?

Tony: There are two of those d*** things.

(Christen and Jared both stare at each other for a second or two then 
they stare back at Tony. Tony nods his head. It skips back to Marc and 
Dante.) 

Act 2- 

Dante: I got it!

(Marc looks at the vent and help takes the shaft cover off. Just as they 
get it off and Dante starts to climb in, the door bursts open and water 
rushes in followed by the monster.)

Marc: Dante hurry. (Marc pushes Dante into the shaft. Marc is holding 
Dante's pocketknife) go, Go, GO!

(Just as Marc enters the shaft, the monster wraps around Marc torso like 
an anaconda and pulls Marc under water. But Marc opens Dante's 
pocketknife and starts randomly stabbing the creature. Marc stabs the 
creature six or seven times and finally Marc stabbed it in the right 
spot without even knowing about it. Marc gets out the water and climbs 
into the vent shaft. He coughs and tries to catches his breathe.)

Dante: You aight?

Marc: (scooting back to where the thing can't reach him) Yeah (cough) 
I'm fine. (Cough, small pause) lets go.

 (They crawl up and they start crawling over the hallway. They look 
through one of the vents and can see the creature waiting for them to 
fall through one of them.)
 
Marc: Just look at that thing.


Dante: What the f*** is a thing like that doing in a school.

Marc: I don't know. Hopefully not trying to get a scholarship. 

(Once they got past the hallway, the vents came to and intersection, up, 
down, left, and right.)

Marc: Dante, we'll have to go up.

Dante: Why up?

Marc: Think about it. If we go down, then there will be water down there 
and it could rise while we are in the vents.

(Dante gulps)

Dante: All right.

(They begin to shuffle up the vent shaft. The scene ends.) 

Chapter 9: Regrouping
Set- Washington High School 
Act 1- 

(Marc and Dante continue shuffling up the ventilation shaft. They reach 
the top of the tunnel and turn right. There is an open vent at the end 
of the shaft. Marc and Dante pause and look at each other, then the two 
of them scurry to the open vent. They pop open the vent door and climb 
out. They look around the hallway for Tony and see nothing.)

Marc: Where the hell are they?

Dante: I guess they just haven't got up here yet.

Marc: But what the hell is slowing them down so much. 

Dante: Lets just go down stairs and look for them; it'll only take a 
second. 


(The two walk down the hallway.)

Marc: I hope none of them had to face that f***in lochness looking 
bastard.

Dante: Aye yo, if we plan on getting outta here then we need to find 
Tony and everyone needs to regroup soon as possible. 

Marc: Yeah right, we still ain't even found Brooke yet.

Dante: One thing at a time

(Meanwhile, Tony's group is still stuck on the lower level and they've 
still not met up with Eric's group. Tony, Christen and Jared are sitting 
on the other side of the stairs. Tony looks aggravated and Christen & 
Jared are sighing and looking confused.)

Tony: you know, I'm not the only one who has to do all the freakin' 
thinking around here. You rocket scientist could try to think of 
something too instead of sittin there looking like a bunch of dumbs***s.

Christen: I know Tony, what do you think I'm doing. I wanna get outta 
here as much as you do.

Jared: And anyway, you're the one that appointed yourself as leader. So 
stop b****in about it.

Tony: You know what Jared (Tony gets up and walks to him. Christen grabs 
him.)

Christen: Just chill out Tony. We're gonna help as much as we can

(Just then, talking is heard in the hallway not too far away. Jared 
interrupts Tony and Christen.)

Jared: Hol'up, did you guys just hear that.

(Tony and Christen listen. The talking is heard again)



Tony: that sounds like Eric.

(Tony gets up and runs out of the stairway doors and runs into Eric.)

Eric: S***, you scared me. You guys all right

Tony: (Sighs) Yeah (Tony looks at Eric and the rest of his group) 
Where's trey?

(Travis shakes his head. Tamera does the same)

Tamera: Something got him, and I don't know what the f*** it was, but it 
got him. I shoulda held on to him longer (her eyes start to get teary)

Travis: It ain't your fault girl, don't blame yourself.

Eric: Where's Dante and Marc

Travis: Don't tell me that they didn't make it?

Jared: Well, (He gives a deep sigh) I don't know where Dante and Marc 
are.

Act 2- 
(Just then, Dante and Marc walk to the other side of the steps)

Marc: Here we are kiddies.

Dante: What the hell happened to the stairs.

Tony: Marc, Dante. Thank god it's you.

Christen: We need to get over there. How'd you guys get up there?

Marc: We crawled through a ventilation shaft from the lab. 

Tony: The Anatomy lab?


Dante: Yeah, that one.

Marc: You guys better hurry up and get up here though. Because that 
waters high enough for that thing to swim in now.

James: you mean that thing is on this floor?

Tamera: Aw s***.

Tony: Just wait a second, I'll think of something. Dante, see that fire 
ladder by the doors to your left.

Dante: yeah

Tony: We're gonna have to make a bridge so we can get across, and we 
better not fall because look at what's right under us!

(Dante looks and gulps)

Dante: aight then. Here you go.

(Each of the kids crosses the pit in the stairway one by one until only 
Travis is left. Right when Travis starts to cross, he hears a rumbling 
coming down the hallway.)

Travis: What the hell is that?

(Just then, water rushes down the hallway and floods the bottom half of 
the stairway. All of the kids swim out of the water as fast as they can. 
The 2 creatures swim straight for Travis. But he grabs on to the other 
side of the stairway fast enough to pull him self up. The two creatures 
snap at him as he struggles to pull himself up. The kids rush out of the 
stairway, close the doors, lock them and then begin to brick pile things 
in front of the door. However, this floor is under ½ ft. of water)

Tony: So, Jared (he takes a breath) glad I'm your leader now (he says to 
Jared sarcastically) 


(Jared just looks at Tony with a little grin and shakes his head and 
laughs)

Chapter 10- it gets worse
Set- Washington High School
Act 1- 

Marc: Um I don't know about you guys, but you guys but I ready to get up 
outta here cause ya'll is holdin me up. Dante lets roll.

(Dante follows Marc down the hallway, and then the rest of the group 
follows after)

Tony: Alright guys, we're headed toward the Auditorium. We should be 
able to go across the balcony

James: you mean swim across

Tony: Huh?

James: Remember, the other floors are flooded, so that means the water 
is on the same level as the balcony floor.

Tony: S***, you're right. Ok so we swim.

Christen: Whoa, hell no. I'm not swimming through there with that 
monster in here. F*** no

Tamera: Yeah Tony, I don't think that's a good idea.

Eric: Well do you have any better ideas smart a**?

(Tamera looks at Eric with a snobby smirk)

Eric: look, me and Tony will swim to the other side and open the 
auditorium doors so you guys can just swim through.

Jared: Have fun


(Tony and Eric slowly creep into the water)

Tamera: You guys be careful

Dante: And watch out for ugly snakes

Tony: Shut up Dante

(Eric and Tony swim through the auditorium, its mildly dark. The two 
swim side to side by each other.)

Eric: S*** man

(When they reach the other side, they climb out of the water and go to 
the other door.)

Tony: Here we are, alright lets open this door

(When Tony tries to open the door he finds that it's locked.)

Tony: Oh f***, I don't believe this s***

Eric: It's alright; the lock is under the door

Tony: What, under the door. What kinda lock is that?

Eric: I was the stage manager I know what I'm talking about. I'll have 
to swim under this floor and unlock it from there. It'll just take a 
second. All it is is a switch.

Tony: Alright, I'll just wait here.

Eric: Aight, be right back



(Eric swims under the balcony. He finds his way around and twists the 
lock handle around pulls is down to unlock the door. When he tries to 
swim back to surface he turns around and his shirt gets caught on the 
latch. As he's struggling to free himself, a dark shadow appears. His 
eyes widen and he begins to struggle even more. Right when Eric gets 
loose from the latch, the serpent side winds and rips his Torso off. It 
swims to the surface where it can see Tony and rises out of the water. 
Tony looks at it in shock as it eats the other half of Eric's body and 
then goes back under. The group on the other side of the auditorium 
screams and fall away from the edge of the balcony. Tony breaks through 
the door on the other side since Eric unlocked it. He scurries in takes 
deep breathes in horror. He peeks out the door and signals the other 
kids.)

Tony: you guys, just stay there. I'll think of something. You know me.

Tamera: Oh my god, what the f*** was that?

(Travis stares frozen in place and doesn't take his eyes off the water. 
Jared tries to think of something. He looks to all his sides. Then he 
looks at Tony on the other side. He sees something over Tony's head. A 
VENTILATION SYSTEM! He looks above his own head and sees there is one 
above him as well.)

Jared: Guys looks above you.

(They all look up)

Dante: Yes! It's a vent shaft!

Christen: But how are we gonna open it? It's too high up.

Dante: D***!

(They all think and try to figure it out)

Marc: I got it, the ladder we used to help Travis and them. Dante, come 
with me to go get.

Dante: Me, hell nah. I've got in enough trouble wit you already today.

Marc: Oh come ?(Christen interrupts.)


Christen: I'll go with him.

Act 2-

(Marc looks at Christen and gives her a little smile. She smiles back at 
him. They walk to go get the ladder. Marc stops to talk to Christen.)

Marc: By the way, why did you want to help me?

Christen: Well Marc, I think it's about that time where I let you know 
the truth.

Marc: Truth about what?

Christen: The truth about how I feel about you. Marc, ever since we 
started this school year, I have liked you. I also have feelings for 
Tony also.

Marc: Then why aren't you talking to him then?

Christen: Because he is nothing like you. Yeah he's nice and everything, 
but I just don't have the same feelings for him like I have for you. 
Tony has always been there for everything, and me but he loves me in a 
very different way. He's almost like, my brother or something. That's 
how far we go back. But I think I like, like you. And since we are in 
this tight situation right now, I think we should make the best of it. 
And since we have talked and hung out a lot, I think my love for you is 
grown. What I'm trying to say is, I love you.

(Marc looks at Christen confused)

Christen: I can't even explain what I feel for you. Its just that (she 
moves closer to Marc) the day you asked me to help you on your homework, 
I thought to myself "since I like him, I should do it, then I could let 
you know then, but (she moves even closer to him) I wanted to wait for 
the perfect time. (She moves her head closer to Marc's) Marc, I want you 
to know (Moves closer) that I love you, (Closer) and always (closer 
still) have. (She kisses him briefly)


(Marc looks into Christen's eyes and smiles)

Marc: So, are you still goin out with Tony

Christen: We never did go out, we're just best friends. It's always been 
like that.

(She pats him on the shoulder)

Marc: W?we better get this ladder back before everyone gets worried.

Christen: (nods) Yeah good idea.

(They pick up the ladder and start walking back to the balcony where the 
water is about knee deep. Back at the balcony)

Jared: What's taking them so long.

Dante: They're probably f***in. 

James: TONY, you alright over there. (He shouts across the auditorium to 
Tony) 

Tony: yeah, what the hell is taking them so long?

Tamera: They're on their way back. Here they come now

(Marc and Christen walk back with the ladder. They lean it against the 
wall. Dante takes out his pocketknife and begins to unlatch the vent 
door.)

Act 3-

James: I've got a bad feeling about this. It's like something from Final 
Destination or something. 

Jared: If it makes you feel any better you can go last.



James: I'm not going last. It's usually the person that goes last is the 
first to die in a situation like this.

Marc: Fine James, if it makes you feel any better, I'll go last.

Jared: Dante, you go first.

Dante: Me? Why me?

Jared: Like I said before, if something happens to you, we'll know not 
to go.

(Dante looks at Jared like he's about to kill him)

Marc: Will you two b****es quit fightin and just go already! 

(Dante climbs up first mumbling to himself)

Dante: (Says to himself) this is not my day is it?

(After Dante, it's Jared, then Christen, then Travis, then Tamara, then 
James and then Marc. They each crawl towards the other end of the 
shaft.)

James: I'm telling you guys I have got a bad feeling about this.

Travis: Dude just shut the hell up. Nothin is gonna happen to us aight. 
I don't wanna hear another word bout it.

James: Oh so you think your my mom now!

Travis: No, I think I'm your daddy. Who's your daddy James, huh? Who's 
your daddy?

James: Don't make come up there!

Travis: Oh yeah what you gonna do.



(Tamara interrupts)

Tamara: Why don't both of you shut up before I kick both of your a**es.

James: See Travis, you got your girlfriend sticking up for you.

Travis: At lest my girlfriend is human

James: Man when we get outta here I'm gonna kick the s*** outta you.

(Just when he finishes his sentence, a loud sound is heard.)

Jared: You guys here that.

(The sound happens again. Then out of nowhere, something rams the bottom 
of
the vent, right below James. It happens again. Tamara and Christen 
scream. It
happens again and this time the vent shaft brake and has both Marc and 
James
Hanging over the edge of the broken shaft. Tamara and Travis go to help 
James.
4 glowing eyes look up at James and Marc. The two kids are still hanging 
over the edge. Travis and Tamara begin to pull James up, but before they 
could both monsters jump up and grab James' legs.)

James: AARRRRGHHHHH!

(They free James of Travis and Tamara's grip and they lose him. Just as 
they lose James, Marc falls into the water.)

Marc: AHHHH!

Christen: Marc!



(Marc surfaces and just as he does, he sees, the two monsters tearing up 
James. Marc begins to swim as fast as he can away from the monsters. 
Just when he is about to reach the balcony, he can here the monsters 
chasing after him. The screen goes to the monsters going after him. Marc 
takes a quick look back at the monsters.)

Marc: AHH!

(He turns back around and swims as fast as he can. He begins to breathe 
hard.
He finally reaches the balcony but he does not slow down. He climbs out 
and jumps trough the double door and lays down to catch his breath. The 
water is
About thigh deep now.)

Christen: Marc! Are you ok?

Marc:  Yeah, I'm fine. (He stands up) (He says to himself) There's gotta 
be another way across.

Christen: How are you gonna get across?

Marc: I don't know? Don't worry about me.

Christen: What are we gonna do.

Marc: I want you to go with the others. I'll catch up with ya'll lata. 

Christen:  Will you be alright?

Marc: Yeah, I'll be fine

Christen: Ok.

(Christen begins to crawl away)

Marc: (Says to himself) At least till I meet Mr. Ugly.

Chapter 11- The plan
Set- Washington High School


Act 1- 

(The scene opens up showing an air vent. The vent door pops out and Tony 
and the rest of the group jump out of the ventilation shaft. Tamera is 
crying.)

Tony: You guys alright.

Tamera: Are we alright, what about Marc and what about James.

Jared: Look there's nothing we could have done.

Christen: I never said there was. 

Tony: It's not my fault he died.

Christen: I DIDN'T SAY IT WAS YOUR FAULT TONY! 

Travis: Christen you need to chill out, and Tony lighten up.

Tony: Me lighten up, what the f*** did I say?

Travis: You just?

Tony: No, f*** this; if you guys are tired of me then I can deal with 
that. You can find your own f***in way outta here .I'm gone.

Tamera: Tony wait.

(Tony begins to walk away and the he stops and starts listening for 
something.)

Tony: Did you guys just here that?

(He walks back toward the group.)

Jared: What is it?



(A deep breathing is heard from around the corner.)

Travis: Dante, give me your pocket knife

Tony: Who's there?

(Brooke and Max peek out from Behind the corner.)

Tamera: Oh my god.

(Tamera runs up and hugs Brooke. Brooke smiles. The rest of the group 
walks towards them.)

Tamera: I thought you guys woulda been dead.

Tony: Max, man you all right.

Max: I'm fine, glad to see you guys.

Dante: Hey Brooke (He gives her a hug.) W'sup girl. Where you been.

Brooke: Where've you guys been?

Max: Aorund. Where's everybody else, are you the only ones who made it.

Tony: Yeah, well Marcs still on the other side of the auditorium.

Max: S***. We'll find him.

Christen: No he'll find us. He wanted me to tell you guys that we should 
look for a way out instead of looking for him. 

Tony: Alright, but how will we do that.

Dante: Got it, there's an office at the end of this hallway right

Travis: Right, so.


Dante: They've gotta have a phonebook, right.

Christen: Yeah, but what's it matter? The phone lines are out.

Dante: No. Look, we just use the phone book to look for a number so we 
can call someone and tell them to pick us up at the rooftop. We can use 
our own cell phones. 

(Everyone looks at Dante in surprise.)

Travis: Dante, I love you N****.

Christen: Dante, that's the best idea you've had since?since?well it's 
the best idea you've ever had.

(Tony pulls out a flashlight.)

Tony: D***it, this battery about to die. (He sets it on an air 
register.)

Dante: Lets just go, ya'll is stallin too much

Travis: Yeah, lets go.

(They begin to walk down the hallway. Just as Tony begins to follow them 
Christen pulls him back.)

Christen: Hey, sorry for b****ing at you earlier. I was just?

Tony: It's alright.

Christen: No, it's not all right. That's why I'm apologizing.

Tony: Its ok

Christen: Its ok?

Tony: Yeah



Christen: Good (She kisses him on the forehead.)

Tony: Lets go.

Act 2-

(They all walk down the hall and around the corner into the office. When 
they get there, they find the door is locked.)

Max: Dante, lemme see that pocket knife (Dante hands him the knife and 
Max picks the lock with it. They walk inside the office. It's dark and 
hard to see. Travis bumps into a desk.)

Travis: D***. Oh, hey Tony look. Here go some batteries for your 
flashlight.

Tony: Oh crap. I left it out in the hallway.

Tamera: go get it.

Tony: Alright, Alright. Fine.

Max: I'll go with him.

Tony: Ok, be right back.

Travis: Here. (Travis gives them the batteries.)

(Tony and Max leave the office and head all the way down to the other 
end of the hallway to get the flashlight.)

Chapter 12- Betrayal 
Set- Washington High School
Act 1- 

(As Tony and Max walk down the hall, the two start to talk.)

Max: So, I can't believe that you guys are all that made it.


Tony: Yeah, I know. Me neither.

Max: Do you think we'll get outta here?

Tony: I hope so.

Max: I would've been out of here but Brooke, Jordan and Casey kept 
slowing me down.

Tony: I still don't know why that thing is in our school, and why it 
keeps following us. Its like it's luring us into a trap or something.

Max: What thing?

(Tony looks at him blankly.)

Tony: That serpent, the thing that's been killing us off.

Max: Um?Oh yeah.

Tony: What do you mean "Oh yeah." How could you forget something like 
that?

Max: Hey isn't that your flashlight. 

(He points to the flashlight on the ground. Tony looks at it and picks 
it up.) 

Tony: Thanks. 

(The two start heading back to the office, but they pause for a moment.)

Tony: you never answered my question.

Max: What?

Tony: How could you forget about that serpent?


Max: Look, Tony. I don't know how to tell you this, but?

(Tony looks at him hesitantly)

Tony: But what?

Max: Well, Casey and Jordan, they didn't get killed by that thing.

Tony: What? What the hell are you talking about? Did they drown or 
something?

Max: Nope.

Tony: Then what?(Tony starts backing away.)

Max: Well, I told you that they were slowing me down.

Tony: You can't be serious

(Tony backs away even further but Max follows him.)

Max: Yeah I am serious, serious about getting the f*** outta here. 

Tony: You stupid son of a b****. WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM?

Max: Whoa, Tony chill out.

Tony: You stay the f*** away from me.

(Tony starts to walk away but Max grabs him.)

Max: Whoa, whoa, whoa. Where the hell do you think your going? 

Tony: Get the hell off man.

(Max throws him onto the floor and steps on his neck, chocking Tony.)

Max: You think I'm gonna let you go back and tell them what I did?


Tony: (Gasping) Then why didn't you kill Brooke

Max: Because, I like her. There's something about her that told me " 
Don't kill Brooke."

Tony: You stupid motherfu?(choking)

Max: Shut up Tony. Now's not the time for questions, Now's the time for 
you to die.

(Tony grabs Max legs and pulls him down on the ground but before Tony 
can get up Max kicks him in the face. Tony struggles to get up and 
punches Max in the face. Max falls on the ground.)

Tony: you stay away from me a**hole. 

(Max gets up and punches Tony in the eye. Tony swings back and hits 
Max's nose, it starts bleeding and he falls onto the ground.)

Tony: B*st*rd

(Just then, Max takes Dante's pocketknife and stabs Tony in the leg with 
it. Tony yells and falls on the ground. Max pins him down and aims the 
knife towards his stomach.)

Max: No hard feelings Tony, but I'm tired of putting up with you.

(Tony tries not to let Max stab him but Max pierces his side with the 
knife. Tony starts to bleed and cough. Max pulls the knife out of Tony's 
side.)

Max: Sorry pal.

(Max gets up and picks up Tony's flashlight and drags him into a 
Janitors closet and leaves him to die. Max heads back towards the 
office.)

Act 2- 



(Max enters the office with the Flashlight alone. Christen gets up.)

Christen: W?Where's Tony?

Max: See I told him?(he sighs) He thought he heard Marc and went over to 
the balcony and he slipped in and that thing?it got him.

Tamera: What (Her eyes get teary.)

(Christen sits down quietly in shock.)

Christen: Oh my god. (She begins to cry.)

Travis: then why is your t-shirt bloody and why is your nose bleeding 
Max?

Max: Because I tried to pull him over and it bit him and pulled him 
down. It just?Your not saying that I?

Travis: no, no not at all.

(Christen is crying on Tamera's lap.)

Christen: WHY, WHY DID YOU LET THAT THING GET HIM MAX. GOD, WHY, WHY, 
WH?

Tamera: It's alright Christen. (Tamera is also crying.)

Jared: I'm going back for him

Max: No, we have to keep moving. Dante, did you ever find the phone 
book?

Dante: Nope

Max: S***, I can't believe this.



Travis: Look, you guys go onto the rooftop and just wait for a 
helicopter. One's bound to come. 

Brooke: no, we shouldn't separate again.

Travis: No, it's alright. We're not gonna let this hold us up. You guys 
just go, trust me I'll be there in a second. I'll eventually find 
something.

Tamera: Ok (She gives Travis a hug)

Brooke: Max, let me have that flashlight.

(He gives it to her and the group heads out. Travis stays and keeps 
searching for another way to contact some help. The scene ends.)

Chapter 13- The Loner
Set-Washington Park High School
Act-1

(The scene starts off with Marc walking down the hallway by himself. He 
walks and thinks to himself. Then he says out loud.)

Marc: Why didn't we just use the balcony?

(Marc begins to walk over towards the balcony, which leads you right to 
the other side of the school. Marc hears a sound. He turns around very 
quickly.)

Marc: Hello?

(He turns around slowly, hoping not to see anything that will decide his 
fate. He begins to walk toward the balcony. When he reaches where the 
balcony is SUPPOSED to be, well, you can figure it out.)

Marc: S***.



(Marc looks around. Noticing what he has to do. He looks around more 
hoping that there is another way across. There obviously isn't so here 
must either swim across or sit and think. He figures he doesn't have 
time to sit and think cause he could drown or be eaten (whichever comes 
first) or he could swim across hoping he would survive. He takes a deep 
breath. He heads towards the banister and leans just a little bit over 
hoping that thing won't take him out just as it did Chris. He sees 
nothing. But he hears something. It sounds like a snake or something. It 
started soft and then it got louder. He again, turns around quickly.) 

Marc: Hello? 

(Marc then walks to where he can see down the hall. But he stays hidden. 
He looks into the hallway and does not like what he sees. The two 
things, on land! Marc's eyes widen. Since he sees the two things out of 
the water, he wastes no time getting into the water. He gets into the 
water as fast as he can, also as quietly as he can, not to alarm the 
creatures that he's around. Marc swims quickly underwater. He climbs out 
of the water, and sprints down the hallway away from the creatures.) 

Act 2-

(The scene skips over to the kids walking towards the kids headed to the 
rooftop. The seven kids are just walking, trying to find a way to the 
roof.)

Christen: I wonder were Marc could be.

Tamera: Girl, you've been talkin bout him ever since we split up. What's 
up between you and him?

Christen: Well....

Dante: Is ya'll f***in or something?

Christen: No, we...

Tamera: Oh, I know, ya'll going out now aren't you.


Christen: Well...kinda.

Max: I though you were goin out wit Tony.

Christen: We did not go out, we where just best friends well, until he 
died.

Max: Oh. Sorry.

Christen: That's ok.
 
Dante: How are we gonna get to the roof.

Jared: Tony would have known.

Brooke: Yeah but he's not here.

Christen: Hey, don't talk about Tony like that.

Brooke: What do mean, I didn't say anything wrong.

Christen: Just don't talk about him like that. He was your friend too.

Brooke: I can talk about anyone I want. Just because you f***ed him 
doesn't me that I can't talk bout him.

Christen: I told you. We are just friends.

Brooke: Yeah that's what they all say. One minute you say your friends, 
and the next you're at his house getting the s*** f***ed out of you by 
him.

Christen: At least I'm not a little sl*t like you.

Dante: What's bad about being a sl*t?

Christen: Dante?



(Just before she finishes, Tamera interrupts.)

Tamera: Why don't you two stop fighting?

Brooke: You know what, shut the hell up, I've already had enough of your 
s*** already.

Tamera: My s***, my s***? I haven't given you any s***.

Brooke: I don't care you little b****.

Travis: Aye, don't call her a b****

Brooke: What are you gonna do. 

Max: Brooke, you need to calm you a** down.

Jared: Max, You need to shut the hell up.

Dante: Why don't you shut the hell up, Jared? I've had it wit you and 
tellin me to go first to save you're a**.

Jared: Why don't you f*** yourself you dumb *** ho?

(Dante's eyes widen, then he looks at Jared like he wants to kick his 
a** but this time, there is nobody to stop him so he punches Jared 
square in the mouth. Nobody cares cause everyone else is fighting.)

Act 3-

(The scene begins with Marc running down the hallway. Suddenly he hears 
something. It didn't sound like the monsters. It was the relieving sound 
of fighting. Marc runs towards the sound. Suddenly he sees all of his 
friends. 
He runs towards them.)

Marc: Hey guys!



(They all stop in their tracks and look at Marc.)

All: Marc!

(Christen runs towards Marc and throws her arms around him. Max walks 
towards Marc.)

Max: Am I glad to see you man. (He shakes Marc's hand.)

(Everyone else runs towards Marc and gives him a pat on the back. 
Christen's left arm is around Marc's back. Marc looks at Jared's lip. It 
is bruised and bleeding.)

Marc: What happened to you.

(Jared looks at Dante. Marc also looks at Dante. Dante has a small black 
eye.)

Marc: Let me guess, you guys where finally at each other. That's just 
what this thing wants us to do. The water has been rising 12 feet every 
hour and a half, to one point where none of us can get out. (Pause) This 
thing is leading us into a trap. I don't know why it is. But I know one 
thing, that this creature is definitely smarter than us. When we get to 
the roof where we think its safe, it really isn't. I'd have to say that 
it would be the least safe place in this entire building. As you know, 
some of our friends are no longer with us because of this things 
intelligence. The only way we could destroy this is if we work together. 
(Pause) By the way, where's Tony.

(Sighs)

Dante: He?got killed.

Marc: You're kidding. Please tell me you're kidding.



(He shakes her head sadly. Marc looks at the floor. It seems as if he is 
gonna cry. He walks over to a wall and sits by it. He puts his head 
between his knees. You could hear him stifling. Christen walks over to 
him and sits next to him.)

Christen: You know Tony was my best friend since the 3rd grade.

Marc: He was my best friend ever since we first met.

Christen: I'll never forgive myself for not always being there for him

Marc: Tony told me you were always with him

Christen: He was always a part of me

(The camera switches from Christen over to Max)

Max: This is great. Just great.

Jared: You know it could get worse.

Brooke: How? How could it possibly get any worse?

(Sighs. Pause)

Dante: So what do we do now?

(Marc in the background.)

Marc: What do we do now? (Everyone looks at Marc.) We do whatever we 
can.

(The camera slowly zooms in on Marc.)

Marc: Take this creature, and send in to meet its ancesors.

Jared: You mean dinosaurs. They're extinced.

(Camera goes right to Marc's head. Marc is looking into the camera.)

Marc: Exactly.


(The scene skips to Marc and the others walking fast towards the office 
Travis is in.)

Marc: All right this is what we gotta do. Dante, you and Brooke need to 
go to the lockers and search in them for any notes on the M-120. Tamera, 
you and 
Christen will go to the office and help Travis with his search. And me 
and 
Max will go to the third floor labs to find and equipment. Any 
questions?

Brooke: Why are we looking for note?

Marc: To see if there is any way to kill this d*** thing.

Brooke: I know that. That Porter guy told us that it can't take fire. I 
don't mean like a match or something, I mean like a normal fireplace 
fire. Fires like that will explode the d*** thing.

Marc: Good girl. Then you guys go help Travis and them.

Brooke: All right.

Marc: No wait a second. All of you just come with me and Max. Travis 
could find his stuff all by himself. 

(They all nod)

Marc: All right, lets go.

Act 4-

(The scene opens up with everyone out side the lab door. Marc twists the 
knob but it won't open.)

Marc: Locked! Dante. Do what you gotta do.

(Dante picks the lock. There is a click. The door swings open. Everyone 
but Marc steps in. Christen turn around.)



Christen: What is it?

Marc: I think I should stay out here and keep watch just to make sure 
one of our old friends doesn't show up.

Christen: Good thinking.

Max: I think I'll stay out here with him.

(Everyone goes in. The water is about shin deep. Marc walks over to the 
railing. Max walks up behind him. Max taps Marc on the shoulder. Marc 
turns around and Max stabs Marc in the side. Max then throw Marc to the 
ground getting the water all bloody. Marc is on the ground holding his 
side.)

Max: Sorry Marc. Couldn't help myself. Just like I couldn't help killing 
Tony. But since I killed Jordan, and Tony I'm thinking, what the hell. 
Why not kill you too.

(He picks Marc up by his collar.)

Max: well I think we should leave the rest for the monster to find.

(Max throws Marc over the railing into the water. Marc sinks. Inside the 
lab room.)

Brooke: Did you guys find any lighters or Matches?

Dante: No.

Tamera: No

Christen: Yes!

(She pulls a cigarette lighter out of a drawer. Brooke and everyone else 
run to her. Christen walks to everyone and hits her knee on the table.)



Christen: Ow!

(She drops the lighter.)

Christen: D***it.

(She bends over to pick up the lighter then notices that the water, is 
red. She looks up at the others, then makes a break for the door, just 
as she reaches it the door swings open with Max breathing for air.)

Max: (Trying to catch his breath) It? It got him.

Christen: What?

Max: That thing. That son of a b**** got him.

(Christen runs out the door and heads to the rail. She looks in the 
water and sees nothing but blood.)

Christen: No. Please.

(It goes to Tamera.)

Tamera: Why didn't you come get us?

Max: I was panicking. Do you think I would have time to think?

Dante: It's called reaction.

Jared: Isn't kinda wierd that whenever someone gets killed, they are 
with you. And since they do, how come you haven't come anywhere near 
death.

Max: You saying I killed him.

Jared:I'm not sayin anything but the truth Max.



(They all head towards Christen who is crying on her knees. The scene 
zooms out then ends)

Chapter 14- The secret let out
Set- Washington High School
Act 1-

(The scene opens up in the office where Travis is. He is shuffling 
through desks and drawers looking for Phone books or any way to contact 
the outside world to find help.)

Travis: God, where the hell do they keep the phone numbers up in this 
b****?

(Just then he opens a drawer and sees the detention slip that Ms. Jones 
issued him in class. He takes it out of the desk and rips it up.)

Travis: What now ho? (He says to himself)

(He continues to search through the drawers. As he is looking he freezes 
and focuses his eyes on a black book.)

Travis: Yes, I think this might be a phone book. 

(He gives a deep sigh.)

Travis: Please God let this be a phone book. Come on now!

(He opens it and sees that there's nothing in it but the student 
directory.)

Travis: S***, I give up!

(He throws the book down and lies on the desk with his hands patting his 
head in a thinking motion and the screen fades to black. The scene then 
opens up with Brooke leading the group down the hallway.)



Brooke: Ok you guys, I figure that if we go through the west wing we can 
reach the roof faster, because it has a stairway leading directly to the 
roof.

Dante: I think we should find Marc

Brooke: So do I, but I don't think we'll be able to find him and get out 
of here before the whole school over floods.

Dante: I know.

Jared: Man Dante, you more worried about finding Marc then getting outta 
here.

Dante: That's my closest N****, what do you think?

Jared: I think you should stop holding us up because that kid is lost, 
ain't no comin' back for him

Dante: Shut the hell up man

Jared: No you?

Brooke: STOP IT, GOD YOU GUYS ARE OUT OF CONTROL. 

(She sighs.)

Brooke: Can you just stop arguing for a second?

(Dante and Jared stop arguing and look at her.)

Dante: My bad

Max: Jared's actually the one who should be sorry

Jared: No, you should be sorry for letting Tony die, he's the only one 
that could get us the f*** up outta here. 

Christen: Jared, just shut the hell up. Do you ever stop?



Jared: Look, I'm gone. I need to take a little walk

Dante: NOW?

Jared: Shut up Dante 

(Jared begins to walk away, everyone looks at Brooke and then glances 
back at Jared walking oppositely down the hall.)

Brooke: Jared, come back. (She yells down the hall.)

Max: What the hell does he think he's doing?

Tamera: Where'd he go?

Brooke: I'm gonna go find him, you guys just keep heading for the west 
stairway.

Tamera: Ok, we'll wait for you there.

Brooke: Ok. Be right back.

(Brooke starts to head down the hallway.)

Max: Wait up; I'll go with you.

(Max runs down the hall after Brooke and catches up with her.) 

Act 2- 

(The scene then switches just to them.)

Brooke: So why did you decide to follow me now Max

Max: Just to talk to you about some stuff.

Brooke: Like what?



(Max grabs Brookes arm.)

Max: To tell you what really happened to Tony.

(Brooke freezes and looks at Max blankly.)

Brooke: W?what do mean by that. He died, there's nothing you could do.

Max: Yeah there was, I could have not killed him.

Brooke: Y?you didn't?

(She tries to break free, but Max grabs her harder.)

Max: Um, yeah I did. Jordan, Casey, Tony that was all my work.

Brooke: (Beginning to cry) H?how could you do that to your best friends? 
Why would you do that to your best friends?

Max: It's nothing personal, but you guys are going to somewhat act like 
my body armor. Cause no one lives unless I make it outta here.

Brooke: ARE YOU F***ING CRAZY, WHAT THE HELL HAS GOTTEN INTO YOU MAX. 
YOU'RE NO F***ING KILLER.

Max: I'd like to think of it as preservation and natural selection

Brooke: I'd think of it as cold-blooded homicide, and when we make it 
out of here you're going to pay?

Max: Cash or charge baby? you see that's where you're wrong. Only I'm 
getting out of here. Sorry for your luck. You've been a good leader, but 
your time is up.

Brooke: You think you can take all of them by yourself; they'll kick 
you're a**.



Max: Brooke, you don't know what you're f***ing with. 

(Max looks at his watch.)

Max: Well, it looks like its time to break the news to our classmates. 
Lets go baby.

(Max puts Brooke in a headlock and begins to slowly walk back to the 
group without even finding Jared.)

Act 3-

(Max is walking down the hallway holding Brooke in a headlock with a 
Swiss army blade to her throat.)

Brooke: What are you gonna do to me Max?

Max: What do you think?

Brooke: Don't kill me. Max, look at me. Don't do it.

Max: Brooke now's not the time. 

(The scene switches back to the rest of the group. The stairway, like 
all the others is flooded and the only way to get across is by 
swimming.)

Tamera: I can't believe this s***

Christen: well, I'm not swimming.

Dante: I agree, lets get the f*** outta here.

Christen: No, we have to wait for Brooke, Max and Jared to get back.

Tamera: Yeah, we told them we'd meet them here.

(Dante sighs. Max walks around the corner to where he can see the rest 
of the group.)



Max: Oh here are our little friends now

(Dante looks at him and the rest of the group looks seconds after.)

Dante: WHAT THE HELL YOU DOING MAX?

Max: Just helping out the process of natural selection 

Brooke: DANTE STAY AWAY.

Tamera: Look, Max just put down the knife. Come on just give it to me.

(Max pushes her on the ground.)

Max: You shut up b****.

(Just then Jared walks around the corner.)

Jared: Hey guys sorry for being an a**h?WHOA, MAX WHAT THE HELL YOU 
DOING MAN?

Brooke: (choking) he killed Casey, he killed Jordan and he?he?he killed 
Tony.

Max: Oh D***it Brooke, you gave away the surprise ending.

(Out of nowhere a voice is heard.)

Tony: Here's the surprise b****.

(Tony walks in slowly; he is bleeding and struggling to stand.)

Christen: OH MY GOD, TONY

(Christen runs up and hugs Tony, she holds him up.)

Max: Oh f***ing great, you're not dead. 


Tony: Let her go Max. 

Max: Hell no.

Tony: LET HER GO MAX, I'M NOT PLAYING!

Max: Tony, you're barley alive what do you think you'll do.

(Just then, Tony leaps forward and knocks Brooke free of his grip. Max 
karate kicks Brooke into the water. Dante jumps forward but Max stabs 
him in the side, and then throws him into the water. Tony pushes Max 
into the water but Max pulls him with him. Tony falls and hits Brooke. 
Max surfaces and looks around. He sees Dante's body floating in the 
water. He swims towards him. Dante does a surprise attack on Max. They 
fight for a while. Soon Dante knocks Max towards Brooke who just then 
came to. He grabs Brooke by the hair. )

Max: I should have killed you when I finished off Jordan.

(He then grabs the knife floating in the water and slits Brookes throat 
with it.)

Dante: BROOKE!

(Dante lunges and tackles Max and pulls him underwater trying to drown 
him. Max grabs the spot where he stabbed Dante.)

Dante: ARRRRGGGGGG!!! You son of a b****.

(As they are fighting in the water the fin of the serpent raises up. 
They all pause except for Tony, who climbs out the water. Dante and Max 
stop and look at each other and then look at the serpent. The monster 
lunges straight for them. Max and Dante struggle to get out of the 
water. Dante grabs onto a railing and pulls himself to the surface but 
Max who is still in the water grabs Dante's leg. Dante turns around and 
kicks him in the face and Max falls back into the water. Then all 
becomes silent as the serpent goes underwater.)



Dante: Hey Max, look under you!

(Just then the serpent pulls Max underwater. Max struggles to get above 
water but he gets pulled under. The water turns blood red, then small 
pieces of his body surface.)

Dante: That's natural selection for you.

(Tamera pulls Brooke out of the water.)

Tamera: Oh my god girl, come on.

(Tony coughs up water and tries to get up but he falls onto the ground. 
Christen holds him up and looks him in the eyes.)

Christen: Baby, Baby. Come on Antonio don't die now.

(Tony starts to cough.)

Tony: Now you call me Antonio and your baby. (He gives her a smile.)

Christen: you always were.

Tony: What about Marc?

Christen: Tony, you're the best friend I ever had ok. Tony, Tony?

(She shakes him to wake him up, but he's already dead. Christen starts 
to cry and hugs Tony for the last time.)

Christen: God no

(Dante and Tamera lay down Brooke and head over to Christen. Christen 
hugs Tamera.)

Tamera: I'm sorry Christen

(Christen looks at her with her eyes full of tears.)



Christen: What about Brooke.

(Dante sighs and holds his side) 

Jared: you all right Dante?

Dante: Yeah, I don't think he stabbed me to deep. Just a little pierce

(He sits down and rests his head on is hands.)

Tamera: Its alright you guys, It gonna be ok.

(The camera zooms out and the screen fades to black very slowly. The 
scene ends.)

Chapter 15- The Ascent 
Set- Washington High School
Act 1-

(Christen, Jared, Dante and Tamera walk back down the hallway silently. 
They head back for the office where they left Travis.)

Tamera: God, what are we gonna tell Travis.

Dante: The truth, about Max and everything.

Christen: I don't even want to hear Max's name, that a**hole. He killed 
Ton?

(She starts crying)

Christen: I think Marc is still alive

Tamera: Christen come on now girl?

(They open the office doors and walk in.)



Dante: Travis, where you at?

(They look around for him.)

Christen: Come on Travis, this isn't funny.

(They walk into another office room and see Travis sleeping on a desk. 
Dante punches him in the arm and he wakes up.)

Dante: N****, what is you doing. The schools flooding and your sleeping.

(Travis wakes up and looks around. He sees that the water's almost waste 
high.)

Christen: We need to keep moving and head for the roof. That's what Tony 
would have wanted us to do.

Jared: Dante, you should cover that wound.

Dante: I know

(Dante finds a first aid kit and raps a cloth around his side.)

Tamera: I think we should go by Tony's plan

Christen: You're right, I trusted him.

Jared: Yeah, you also trusted Max.

Christen: What the hell is that supposed to mean. 

Tamera: Look, now's not the time to be?

Jared: Aight, whateva man. It's not my fault that?

Tamera: Jared, just drop it.

Travis: Where's everyone else


Tamera: There is nobody else.

(Travis looks at her in shock.)

Travis: What?

(Tamera begins to tell him what happened and the screen slowly fades 
into the next scene.)

Act 2-

(The scene then opens up to all of the kids walking down the hallway. 
They are all silent, except for Christen who is now leading the way.)

Christen: Alright, we need to make it to the window at the end of the 
west wing.

Tamera: Why

Christen: Because I have an idea on how we can get out of here, but it 
involves swimming.

Travis: Whoa girl, hold up. No more water for me, I'm not tryin to die.

Christen: look guys, I know you don't wanna do this but we only have 3 
options; sit here and drown, sit here and get eaten or try to get the 
hell outta here. So what's it gonna be.

(Everyone pauses for a second.)

Dante: Lets get the hell outta here.

Jared: Yeah, I've worn out my welcome.

Christen: Then lets go, I bet we can climb out the window and take the 
fire ladder to the top of the roof. When we get there we can wait for a 
helicopter to see us.



Travis: And just how high is the water outside?

Christen: Probably up to this level. The goal is to get out of the 
school before the whole thing floods because the water is coming in from 
the bottom floor and rising upwards while outside the water probably 
almost flooded the whole school.

Jared: So that's why it kept rising.

Dante: Well that was very educational but I'm outta here. Where's the 
window?

Christen: Yeah you guys let's go. Come on

(The kids walk down the hallway to the window. To reach the ladder and 
they have to swim across to it.)

Christen: Ok, here we go.

Tamera: Oh hell no, who knows what's in that water.

Travis: Come on baby, I'll be right behind you.

Tamera: Christen there's got to be another way up

Christen: Tamera this is it. The faster we get across, the better chance 
we have of surviving. Dante you go first.

Dante: What? Why me again

Jared: Like I said, if something happens to you then we'll know not to 
go.

Dante: Go f*** yourself Jared.

Act 3- 



(Dante climbs out of the window and swims for the ladder. He reaches on 
it and climbs up for the roof.)

Christen: Ok, Jared its safe. You go now. I'll be behind you

Jared: That's comforting

(Jared swims across and Christen follows behind him. They both climb up 
the ladder. Tamera stays and stares at them.)

Christen: Tamera come on don't do this to me.

Travis: Come on just go, I'll be right behind you girl.

(Tamera looks at Travis for a second.)

Tamera: Promise

Travis: Fa' sho

Tamera: Ok

(Tamera and Travis go out the window and swim for the ladder. Tamera 
climbs up first, then Travis.)

Travis: See, your alright. Ain't nothing happen. You're out of the 
water.

(Travis looks down at the water and sees bubbles. He continues to climb 
up the ladder. The camera's view then switches underwater and begins to 
rise up out of the water.)

Travis: Oh s***.

(Just the, the serpent pops out of the water and does a dolphin stand. 
Travis gulps and turns around to look at it. The serpent is looking him 
dead in the eyes.)

Tamera: TRAVIS, COME ON.



Christen: GO TRAVIS.

(Just then, the serpent goes back underwater and Travis rests his head 
on the ladder step.)

Travis: Thank god.

(Suddenly the serpent leaps out of the water and tears him in half 
vertically from the back and pulls the back half of his body into the 
water. The other half of his body is left hanging on the ladder and it 
falls off seconds afterwards.)

Tamera: NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

Jared: S***, what the f***

Christen: Just go you guys.

(The serpent rises up towards Tamera and tries to bite her but she 
reaches the roof in time and the serpent goes back underwater. Tamera is 
crying.)

Tamera: I told you, I f***ing told you

Christen: Tamera I'm sor?

Tamera: F*** you Christen. (Tamera walks away to the other side of the 
roof.)

Christen: Dante, go get her.

(Dante walks over the other side where Tamera went and tries to tell her 
to come back. Christen looks over the edge of the roof and sees the 
whole city area around her is destroyed.)

Christen: Jesus, what else can go wrong.

(Just then, a crack of thunder is heard and it starts to rain.)



Jared: That could!

(The scene ends.)

Chapter 16- The Escape plan
Set- Washington High School
Act 1-

(The scene opens up focused on a cloud. A drip of rain penetrates the 
camera lens and falls on Christens face.)

Christen: This is not happening.

Jared: It was raining a lot before we even got out here.

Christen: I know Jared, I know. We need a way to get off of the roof 
though.

Jared: A helicopter is bound to fly over this area.

Christen: I hope, but we have to make sure.

Jared: What are we supposed to do; we have no contact and nothing to 
signal one over here.

Christen: Just give me a second to think something up, Ok.

(The scene skips over to Dante and Tamera. She is crying and Dante is 
trying to calm her down.)

Dante: I'm sorry about Travis, you know he was my friend too

Tamera: I know, but he was a different kind of friend to you than he was 
to me.

Dante: I'm just saying you know; don't let this slow you down from 
getting outta here.


Tamera: I?I know

Dante: Well then you need to stop holding us up. You said yourself that 
you wanted to get out of this place.

Tamera: Yeah

Dante: Then what the hell are you waiting for. I'm ready to bounce. You?

Tamera: Yeah?Ok lets go get Christen

(Dante and Tamera begin to head the other side of the roof to regroup 
with Christen)

Dante: Well I guess Marc didn't make it after all. I should've known he 
didn't have a chance

Tamera: I know. I knew we should have gone back for him.

(Just then steps are heard in a ventilation shaft. Dante and Tamera 
freeze and just listen. When the door pops open they see that its Marc.)

Marc: No, I told you not to go back for me.

Dante: N**** I knew you'd make it, that's what I've been saying the 
whole time

Tamera: Whatever Dante you just said Th?

Dante: (Interrupting Tamera) That you were planning on meeting us up 
here anyway, right. 

Marc: Yeah. Anyways, where's Christen?

Tamera: She's on the other side of the roof with Jared.



Marc: What about Travis?

Dante: No? just Jared. 

Tamera: We're all that's left.

Marc: Ah D***! (Sigh) Lets go regroup.

(They walk over the opposite side of the rooftop where Christen and 
Jared are waiting for them. When they see Marc, Jared and Christen stand 
up in shock.)

Christen: Marc?

(She runs up and hugs him.)

Marc: Wud'up. I told you I'd make it.

Jared: Dante thought you were a goner.

(Marc looks at Dante.)

Marc: I thought you said you think I'd make it.

Dante: Well you know, all this action got me trippin lately and you know 
how that is and?

Christen: (Interrupts Dante) Anyway?We got a problem.

Marc: What?

Jared: Well there's 3 things. 1.) We're kind of stuck here 2.) Its dark 
and 3.) It's raining. Meaning, the water will rise up here even quicker.

Dante: Yeah. Look around us. Everything's gone, except those trees 
rising out the water.

Marc: I'm surprised a helicopter hasn't come by yet.


Christen: We're running out of options and we're running out of time. 
So, what do we do?

Tamera: I guess we wait.

Dante: And what if the water floods us by then.

Marc: Pray.

Act 2-

(Its night time and everyone but Marc is lying on the ground. He's 
frantically trying to get his cell phone to work, but it doesn't.)

Marc: D***.

Dante: Man, that s*** ain't gonna work. 

Jared: I know, you tried it about 100 times. Just give it up.

(Marc turns his phone off and sits down.)

Marc: After all the s*** we went through there's still no way out of 
here.

Christen: OH MY GOD YES THERE IS

(Christen points up to a helicopter. All of the other kids stand up.)

Jared: Yes, we getting out of here. 

(The helicopter stops over the water and a ladder is thrown to the ledge 
of the roof.)

Helicopter pilot 1: Base, we have 5 survivors on the rooftop of 
Washington High School.

Helicopter pilot 2: All right, climb up.


(Jared Begins to climb up the ladder first.)

Jared: See you guys at the top.

(The helicopter is near a tree and the Jared is climbing up the ladder.)

Jared: Hey guys

(Jared pauses and looks in the water. He sees bubbles.)

Jared: There's something in the wa?

(Just then the serpent jumps out of the water and grabs Jared's leg.)

Marc: JARED!!!!!!!!!!

(One of the helicopter pilots run to the chopper door and try to pull up 
the ladder. Then all of the sudden, the serpent goes underwater.)

Dante: JARED, YOU ALL RIGHT?

Jared: That thing bit my leg, D***it.

(Suddenly, the serpent jumps out of the water with a scrap metal 
flagpole in its mouth. It jams it right under the helicopter and runs it 
up though the pilots seat, which kills him. The helicopter blade clips 
the tree branch and the whole chopper falls in the water.)

Helicopter pilot 2: What the hell?

(He gets pulled under water and the water turns red. Jared tries to swim 
away but his leg is bleeding and he can't swim fast enough. Then both of 
the creatures begin to swim straight for him.)

Jared: Oh s***.

(One of the serpents grabs his torso the other grabs his legs and they 
tear him apart and swim away.)



Tamera: JARED!!!!!!

(The kids just stand there in silence.)

Marc: that's it; this thing won't let us get out of here. It doesn't 
want us to get out of here.

Dante: that thing is too smart.

Marc: Don't you get it? That thing has been leading us into a trap the 
whole time. It lead us up here because it knew that this was a dead end.

Dante: So that's it, we're stuck here.

Christen: If another helicopter doesn't show, then I guess we're stuck.

Tamera: No, no we're not gonna wait here and die.

Marc: She's right. If this thing wants to fight, then we fight. No more 
running and hiding.

Dante: Whoa, wait up. Just what are you saying?

Marc: I'm saying, we're gonna kill this son of b****.

(The scene ends.)

Chapter 17- The Final Battle
Set- Washington High School
Act 1-

Tamera: And just how do you plan on doing that?

Dante: Yeah N****, you ain't superman.

Marc: Gimmie a minute.


Christen: We don't have a minute.

Tamera: You see how fast that water is rising

Marc: I got it.

Dante: What

Marc: Ok, Brooke told me that the only thing that the M-120 is 
vulnerable to is fire. It absolutely can't stand fire, but it has to be 
a sufficient amount.

Christen: D***it, why didn't we think of that before?

Dante: Because you're stupid. 

(They all pause)

Dante: I was just kidding, d***.

Tamera: But how the hell are we gonna get fire on a rooftop when its 
raining cats and dogs.

Marc: God jus wait a second. 

(He thinks while everyone waits)

Marc: I'm dry.

Dante: (Giggling) What you cum all over Christen.

(Christen walks over to Dante and slaps Dante in the head.)

Dante: Ah D*** I forgot you was there.

Tamera: Now what do we do?

Marc: I ain't got a clue


(Marc thinks for a moment.)

Marc: Ok, you guys I got it. 

Dante: Aight, what?

Marc: We have to...oh s***

Tamera: What is it?

Marc: I just remembered

Dante: WHAT?

Marc: This thing can crawl.

(Everyone pauses.)

Christen: It can do what?

(Just then the creature jumps out of the water and onto the rooftop.)

Dante: OH S***, RUN LIKE A B**** FOO...

(The creature begins to chase the kids across the roof. It slithers like 
a snake. The kids run then soon the other creature jumps out the water.)

Christen: We're trapped.

Tamera: Why didn't you mention that earlier Marc?

Marc: I'm sorry but I just forgot.

Christen: This is something you just don't forget.

Dante: D*** N****. With you and your stupidity, we can all possibly be 
dead.


Christen: We are all pretty much dead anyway Dante.

Tamera: What are we gonna do now.

Marc: I'm thinking jus give me a sec.

(The monsters are circling them.)

Marc: I think I got it but it is gonna take really good timing or a 
sacrifice. What do you guys want? 

ALL (but Marc): TIMING.

Marc: Aight. Just stand still.

(The monsters stop circling. They are in formation.)

Marc: (Whispering) Aight when I say now, we run towards the East wing. 
Get it.

All (but Marc): got it.

Marc: Good.

(The creatures get ready. Then they head straight for the kids.)

Marc: NOW!

(They all move just in time. The monsters ram each other pretty d*** 
hard. They both fall on the ground and the kids dart for the east wing.)

Dante: I don't think that's gonna hold 'em

(The kids run and hide in a corner where the serpent can't see them.)

Marc: Ok, we gotta think quick, real d*** quick.



Christen: There's no way we can catch that thing on fire.

(Just then one of the creatures leap over them and trap them in the 
corner. Right behind Marc is a power box which has power lines running 
from it other areas of the school.)

Marc: You guys, get ready to move.

(The creature lunges for the kids but they move out of the way and the 
M-120 hits the power box and it gets electrocuted to death. The power 
line snaps loose and sparks fly everywhere. Then kids run all the way to 
the east wing and they reach a dead end with nothing but a ladder and a 
propane tank. Marc looks around and sees the propane tank.)

Act 2-

Marc: Guys. Get into the water I will duel with this thing.

Christen: Marc No.

Marc: Christen don't argue just do it. 

(She stares at him like that would be the last time she sees him.)

Marc: GO!

(All but Marc run over to the ledge and jump into the water, Christen 
stops and then runs back to Marc. She hands him the cigarette lighter 
she found in the lab.)

Christen: For good luck.

(She looks at him and smiles. She runs over to the edge and dives into 
the water. Marc looks over to the monster and lights the lighter.)

Marc: Aight mothaf***a, come and get me.



(The creature lunges towards Marc who is standing in front of the tank. 
Marc moves and the monster sinks his teeth into the tank, which begins 
to leak oil. The monster gets all oily and swings around trying to get 
loose and knocks Marc over the ledge. He drops his lighter and it is 
still aflame. The monster breaks loose and it is really oily. Marc is 
hanging on the ladder on the ledge. The monster leans over the ledge and 
reaches its head towards Marc. Marc lets go and falls and grabs onto a 
lower part of the ladder. Marc starts pulling random things out of his 
pocket like his pens and erasers. He pulls out a heavy golden pen.)

Marc: So that's where that thing got to.

(He puts it back in his pocket. He pulls out the last thing he can. A 
sharpened wooden pencil.)

Marc: Come on baby.

(He throws it and the tip hits the monster but it doesn't penetrate it. 
The screen shows the pencil bounce off the monsters back and roll down 
the small slope it hits the lighter and it catches the tip of the pencil 
on fire and the pencil continue to roll down the slope until it reaches 
the tank, then.)

BOOM!

(The force knocks Marc into the water. The camera goes to Marc 
underwater. He then surfaces. He looks around then he sees his friends. 
He waves. They swim towards Marc but Tamera's shirt gets caught on 
something.)

Tamera: You guys, my shirts caught on something

Dante: Then take it off (Joking)

Tamera: Very funny, I think it's just caught on a...AHH

(Tamera gets pulled under the water, then the serpent surfaces.)

Christen: TAMERA NOOOO!!!!!


(The monster is still really oily and it left an oily trail in the 
water. Sparks and hot debris fly. A spark happens to land on the trail 
and there is a trail of fire headed right for the monster.)

Dante: Um, guys you might wanna get underwater

(The fiery trail, which leads to the monster hits it and obviously blows 
it to smithereens. The kids resurface and see nothing but water and 
flying body parts.)

Dante: Now that...was intense.

Marc: So...you guys wanna get outta town?

Christen: Consider my bags already packed.

Dante: I didn't do my homework anyway.

(Soon a light shines down on them. They squint and put their hands over 
their eyes. Another helicopter has come to take them away from the 
scene.)

Helicopter opperator: How are you doing down there?

(They just give him a thumbs up sign. The opperator throws down a 
ladder.)

Christen: Dante, you go first.

Dante: Why me again?

Marc: Do we have to say it?

(Dante just shakes his head and starts to climb. Then Christen and then 
Marc. Before Marc climbs, he looks back at the destroyed school.)

Christen: Come on Marc.



(Marc looks up and then begins to climb. A few seconds later, the scene 
skips over to the survivers in the helicopter.)

Pilot: Please sit down and buckle up. We will be taking you to the base. 
Food and shelter will be provided for you there.

(The second pilot opperator takes his place next to the pilot. The 
helicopter flies over Cincinnati. Christen looks out the window at where 
the first monster got electricuted but it is no longer there. Christen 
Gives a confused worried look. Dante looks at her.)

Dante: Whats wrong.

(Christen sits back in the seat and looks at Dante.)

Christen: Nothing. Nothing at all.

(She looks back at the spot again just to make sure she saw what she 
saw. The scene shows the helicopter fly away. The screen fades to the 
next chapter.)

Chapter 18- Summertime
Set- Lake Michigan beach: Chicago
Act 1- 

(It is the summer after school was supposed to let out. The three 
remaining kids are still alive and well.)



Marc as Narrator:(The camera zooms in on Marc while he narrates.) Here 
we are on the beach of lake Michigan. Me Christen and Dante are on our 
summer break. We've figure it would be better to get away from the sight 
all that stuff happened. If we stayed there, we figured we be too afraid 
to walk outside on a rainy day. Besides most of Cincinnati is still 
being rebuilt. It's a good thing that our folks decided to go on a high 
school reunion cruise for the week. I don't think they where real happy 
when they found out Cincinnati was closed do to some companies problems. 
My dad had a few nice words with them. But the problem is, fists can't 
talk. We never figured out why that creature came to the school out of 
all the places it could have gone. Byoneer scientist say that it need to 
feed its young but they said they couldn't figure out how it could 
reproduce and the chances of that happening are very slim. After the 
flooding, they found Tony and Brooke's body and buried them. They also 
found Max's body but I could care less of what they did with him. I wish 
that whole d*** incident never happened.

(The camera focuses on Marc. You can see Christen walk up to Marc from 
the corner. She walks up to Marc slowly hoping not to alarm him.)

Christen: (Softly) how are you doing Marc?

Marc: Fine I guess.

(Christen walks over to Marc and sits beside him.)

Christen: Where's Dante?

(Marc looks in Dante's direction and he's on the beach flirting with a 
bunch of hot girls. He can hear him a little talking about the stuff 
that happened in Cincinnati.)

Marc: You know what Christen; I wish that that whole thing in Cincinnati 
never happened. We would be chillin with Tony and Brooke right now. I 
jus...

(Christen interrupts.)

Christen: Marc. It's not your fault that any of this happened. It was 
Max's fault they died. If Max wouldn't have done that, they probably 
still would be here.

Marc: I wish I could hear those guys' voices one more time.

(Christen lays on Marc's shoulder.)

Christen: You know what Marc.



(She gets off his shoulder. They look each other dead in the eyes.)

Christen: I'm somewhat glad it happened. I'm not glad everyone died. But 
I'm glad because, I got to get closer to you.

(They smile at each other. They move closer to each other, slowly. They 
begin kissing for a second. They stop and look into each other's eyes. 
They begin kissing again then the screen scrolls up while they 
continue.)

Act 2- 

(The screen scrolls back down but on a different spot on the beach. 
There are bunch of people skiing on the placid waters.)

Skier: (Says with a smile) SPEED UP!

(The speedboat goes a little faster. The skier holds on with only one 
hand. The scene skips underwater and the camera getting closer to rock 
like things underwater. The camera gets closer and closer to it. The 
camera goes back above water showing the guys doing tricks and such. It 
skips back underwater and the camera gets closer and closer. Back above 
water, one guys does a flip and lands it. Underwater, the camera gets 
closer and closer until you can see what it is. ITIS THE EGGS THAT THE 
CREATURE DID LAY!! And it looks as if they had already hatched. The 
camera goes back above water and shows the guys do a really complicated 
trick and land in the water. There is an overhead view of the guy 
swimming in the water. He surfaces and begins to laugh. The overhead 
view you. could see something big rise towards the guy. The camera zooms 
closer the guy. The monster disappears. The guy lies on his back and 
floats. He hears something.)

Jet Skier: What the...

(It goes back to an overhead view and you see the monster leap out the 
water with the guy in the monster's mouth and the screen turns black 
quickly. And the movie ends and the credits roll.)
