Green Eggs And Ham

Int. Black, Darkness
V.O.
I am Sam, Sam I Am
Cut To: Big burst of light then into a house daytime
This is a neighborhood of serenity who is This a Thing walks around the
corner and we follow him into his house. We see a close-up of the
mailbox 123 nonsense drive. We follow him into his house he picks up
the paper in front of his house. The Headlines Say GRINCH TURN GOOD?
And CAT IN THE HAT STRIKES AGAIN? IS HE DOING GOOD OR BAD FOR THESE
CHILDREN. Around the corner comes a little thing on top of a dog
looking creature, The thing is tipping his hat to the audience and
holds a sign up saying I am Sam.
Cut To: Another thing sitting in a chair reading what looks to be a
paper he has a long black hat on He looks a little stunned at the
passing by Sam I Am. Suddenly Sam I am comes back around the corner
with a different sign standing on a different cat looking animal. The
sign this time in red says Sam I Am. This time the thing in the chair
looks just a little more frustrated. Sam I Am passes through and The
Thing's paper flies out of his hand. This Time The Thing Very
Frustrated and slams his fist down on his comfortable looking chair.
And starts to talk
The Thing
That Sam-I-Am! That Sam-I-Am!
I Do not like that Sam-I-Am!
Show: Sam I Am coming back and on a metal fishing real extended with a
hand attached to it, Gets shoved in The Things face with a plate of
Green Eggs And Ham, The Ham with A Fork In it. The Thing Jumps back and
the rest of his papers fly out of his hands. He gets up frustrated them
Steam Comes out of his ears. Then he sits down happy, cooled off.
Sam I Am
Do you like green eggs and ham?
Sam I Am Reels the hand back and The thing gets up in his face in a
possessive mode and puts his hand says:
The Thing
I do not like them, Sam-I-Am. I
I do not like green eggs and ham.
Show: Sam-I-Am then puts his plate of green eggs and ham on his head
and balances while out of nowhere he pulls out two fake long arms with
hands at the end. He points them in two different directions, and they
point on the ground. Through the whole time The Things has a very
frustrated look on his face and smoke is coming out of his ears.
Sam I Am.
Would you like them here or there?
Ext. The thing walks away and Sam I Am has a big eyed disappointed look
on his face. The Thing goes out of the house and walks up a red hill
The Thing.
I would not like them here or there. I
Would not like them anymore. I do not
Like green eggs and ham. I Do not like
Them, Sam-I-Am.
Ext. The thing looks back and with a relived look he sees no sign of
Sam-I-Am, He turns around with a shocked look on his face, He Sees Sam
I Am In a giant window with a plate of green eggs and ham on a table
and a mouse sitting right next to them on a stool. The thing looks
dumbfounded.
Sam I Am
Would you like them in a house? Would
You like them with a mouse?
The thing walks away from his house, hands up in the air.
The Thing
I do not like them in a house. I do not like them
With a mouse. I do not like them here or there.
I do not like them anywhere. I do not like green
Eggs and ham. I do not like them Sam I Am.
Ext. The thing walks up the hill with a glazed look in his eyes when he
sees Sam I Am in a red box hanging from a tree with a plate of green
eggs and ham in his there is also a fox in the box.
Sam I Am
Would you eat them in a box? Would you eat
Them with a fox.
The thing storms up and down a hill walking away from the box, the box
is in view but much smaller. He has his fist raised in the air.
The Thing
Not in a box. Now with a fox. Not in a house
Not with a mouse. I would not them here or
There I would not eat them anywhere. I
Would not eat green eggs and ham. I do
Not like them Sam I Am.
Ext. Fast. Then suddenly a 3-seated blue car with Sam I Am, a mouse and
a fox swoops The Thing off of his feet and he sits on the front. The
thing looks scared looking back at the driver Sam I Am still has a
plate of green eggs and ham in his hand, in the air.
Sam I Am
Would you? Could you? In a Car? Eat Them!
Eat Them! Here they are.
The Thing
I would not, could not, in a car
In. We See Through The Things eyes we go up a tree and we see down then
suddenly.
Sam I Am
You may like them. You will see. You may like
Them in a tree.
They are about to go over the edge of the tree, the tree bends and The
Thing turns around fist in the air.
The Thing
I would not, could not in a tree. Not in a car! You
Let me be. I do not like them in a box. I do not
Like them with a fox. I do not like them in a house.
I do not like them with a mouse. I do not like them
Here or there. I do not like them anywhere. I do not
Like them anywhere. I do not like green eggs and
Ham. I do not like them Sam I Am.
Suddenly they plunge off the tree headed toward a 2 car train it is red
and speeding fast. The Whole time Sam I Am has a calm face on. They're
plunging toward the train.
Sam I Am
A train! A train! A train! A train! Could you,
Would you, on a train.
Day. They land on the second car of the train The thing gets up. Once
more fist in the air while the train is moving.
The Thing
Not on a train! Not in a tree! Not in a car!
Sam let me be! I would not, could not, in a
Box. I could not would not with a fox. I will
Not eat them with a mouse. I will not eat
Them in a house. I will not eat them here
Or there. I will not eat green eggs and ham.
I do not like them, Sam I Am.
Ext. Interior of tunnel. It suddenly gets dark He pushes the green eggs
and ham away that Sam I Am puts in his face.
Sam I Am
Say? In the dark? Here in the dark! Would
You could you, in the dark?
Ext outside day. They emerge out of the tunnel it is raining. The thing
standing up still the green eggs and ham are still in his face.
Sam I Am
Would you, could you, in the rain?
The Thing
I would not, could not, in the rain.
Not in the dark. Not on a train. Not
In a car. Not in a tree. I do not like
Them, Sam, you see. Not in a house.
Not in a box. Not with a mouse. Not
With a fox. I will not eat them here
Or there. I do not like them anywhere!
Ext. Train Bridge High in the mountains. The thing turns around with a
confident look on his face with his eyes shut.
Sam I Am
You do not like green eggs and
Ham?
The thing
I do not like them, Sam I Am.
Ext. Same The thing is sitting on the front of the car facing Sam I am
pulls a goat out of the engine.
Sam I Am
Could you, would you, with a goat
The Thing
I Would not, could not, with a goat
Ext. side of mountains house on the side of the mountains they plunge
off of the dead end bridge there is a boat there. The train is headed
for the smokestack of the yellow boat.
Sam I Am
Would you, could you, on a boat?
BOOM!!!! The engine slams into the smokestack the drivers eyes are
closed he doesn't even know. The Cab is upside down and The Thing Sam I
Am, The Mouse, The Fox, and the goat, and the Boat Driver are in the
air, The boar crumbles in the middle, the driver gets sent up in the
air. The thing points his finger ant Sam I am One of the eggs is off
the plate.
The Thing
I could not, would not, on a boat
I will not, will not, with a goat. I
Will not eat them in the rain. I will
Not eat them on a train. Not in the
Dark! Not in a tree! Not in a car! You
Let me be! I do not like them in a box.
I do not like them with a fox. I will not
Eat them in a house. I do not like them
with a mouse. I do not like them her or
There. I do not like them anywhere I do
Not like green eggs and ham!
Ext. They plunge into the river they are both under water even the
green eggs and ham. The thing Talks under water.
The Thing
I do not like them, Sam I Am.
Ext above water they come above everyone is watching them.
Sam I Am
You do not like them. So you say.
Try Them! Try them! And you may
Try them and you may, I Say
Ext Same. The thing puts his hand out like he is defeated. with a sad
look on his face.
The thing
Sam! If you will let me be, I will try them
You will see.
Ext Water The thing takes them into his hands everyone is waiting
SILENCE………..He eats an egg……He has a happy look on his face.
The thing
Say! I like green eggs and ham! I do. I
Like them Sam I Am! And I would eat
Them in a boat and I would eat them
With a goat . . .
Ext. They get out of the water and start walking up the hill everyone
waves bye, bye a girl with a handkerchief waves it. They are all
happy.
The thing
So I will eat them in a box. And I Will
Eat them with a fox. And I will eat them
In a house. And I will eat them with a mouse.
And I will eat them here or there. Say I Will
Eat them ANYWHERE! I do so like green
Eggs and ham! Thank you! Thank you!
Sam I Am.
Ext In front of different colored rose bushes The thing has his hand on
Sam I Am's Shoulder
WORDS ACROSS THE SCREEN : 1 Year Later
We See a very busy…Take out diner we pan out, The sign Says GREEN Eggs
And Ham.
