FADE IN

INT.  CLUB – NIGHT
The music is pounding and the bass line THUMPS as a DJ plays House Music to the 
receptive crowd.  Everybody in here is dancing either on the dance floor or wherever 
they can find space.

The lights are bright and flashing.  The crowd are sweaty.  Everybody in here is on a 
drug of some kind, the majority of them are on Ecstasy or Speed.

The camera strolls around the club to gain the atmosphere and then we head down to 
the Girls Toilets.

INT.  CLUB - GIRLS TOILETS – NIGHT
It is white and bright in here, the music sounds distant but the beat can still be heard.  
Various people are stood around chilling and chatting.

The sound of a girl having an orgasm can be heard from one of the cubicles.

The camera rests on an attractive 18 year old girl.  She is sat on a ledge by the sink.  
She's wearing old looking trainers, faded blue jeans, a white vest and a big smile.  
She's has a slim figure, a pierced belly button, shoulder length dark hair and blue 
eyes.  Her name is HELEN.

HELEN gets down from her perch and carries a pint of water and ice to a younger girl 
who is slumped in the corner.  The girl in the corner is KAREN.

HELEN crouches down in front of KAREN.  We can see a Ying-Yang tattoo on the 
small of HELEN'S back as her vest lifts up slightly.

Helen
How ya feelin'?  You ok?

KAREN smiles and nods, her pupils are wide.

HELEN strokes KAREN'S head and puts a cube of ice into her mouth.

Helen
I think you should take less next time you're out.

KAREN smiles and gives her a THUMBS UP.

HELEN returns to her ledge by the sink.  A young man is stood waiting for her.

Helen
And what do you want?

Young man
Two hits

Helen
That'll be a tenner.

The young man pulls a ten pound note out of his pocket and gives her the cash.

The sound of the girl orgasming gets louder.  Both HELEN and the young man look 
at the cubical.

Helen
She should get a job in a porn movie, it's turning me on just listening to her.

HELEN pulls a clear plastic bag out of her pocket.  The bag is empty except for two 
white pills which she hands over.

Young man
(referring to the cubical)
How long have they been at it for?

Helen
About half an hour now.  Bit of advice before you run off, only one pill per party 
popper or you'll end up like Karen in the corner.

KAREN smiles and gives the young man a THUMBS UP.

The cubical lets out a scream and some very vocal 'oh my gods' then it goes silent.  
After a beat two women step out.

Young man
Fuck me!

Helen
In your dreams, now run along Space Boy this is the girls toilet.

The young man does as he's told.

The two women straighten their hair in the mirror next HELEN.  One of them looks 
her over then moves herself in-between HELEN'S legs and gently rubs her hands up 
her inner thighs.

Woman #1
When are you gonna let me make you scream like that Helen?

HELEN grabs the woman's hands as they approach her crotch and stops her going 
any further.  Woman #2 gives a look that could kill.

Helen
Not tonight darlin'.  I'm having a coke and cock session.

Woman #1 rubs her hands over HELENS breasts.

Woman #1
I've got coke and a fist.  Tempted?

She wiggles her fingers in front of HELEN'S face.  Woman #2 drags her girlfriend 
out the toilets and HELEN cracks up with laughter.

HELEN checks her watch and gets down from the ledge again.

HELEN
(to KAREN)
You gonna be ok if I leave you for a bit?

KAREN nods and smiles.  HELEN puts her pint of water and ice down in front of her.  
She kisses KAREN on the forehead then makes her way towards the dance floor, as 
she walks she sways to rhythm.  We follow.

INT.  CLUB – NIGHT
The music is loud again as we travel with HELEN around the club.

She is on the look out for somebody, as she walks/dances around people hug her and 
say hello but we can only read their lips.

HELEN spots her target by the entrance.  A man named DIVAS.

DIVAS is in his mid 20's, tall, dark and handsome.  He smiles when he sees her.

HELEN runs over to him and they kiss passionately.

Helen
Got some more for me?

Divas
Yeah, you sold all of them?

Helen
Yep the whole bag, they're eating pills like Pac Man tonight.  Gonna do another hour 
then I'm gonna drop another and dance me lil' arse off.  You sticking around?

Divas
No but I'll be at the party on Wothington Street later.  Meet me there?

Helen
I was hoping for a private party tonight, like last week.

She flutters her eyelashes at him.  DIVAS smiles.

Divas
I've got more coke for later.

Helen
If you're a good boy I might let you snort it off me again.

Divas
I'll look forward to it.  Look I've gotta go, gotta see a man about a Donkey.

He hands her a plastic bag with about 30 pills in it.

Divas
What ya don't sell we can flog at the party.

Helen
Ok d'ya want the takings from tonight so far?

Divas
No keep it all together, we'll sort it out later.

Helen
Ok I'm gonna get a drink then get back to it.

Divas
Ok, be careful on your way over to the party, there's a few cops out and about tonight.

Helen
Ok will do, I'll see ya later then.

They kiss again, DIVAS gropes her.

Helen
Second time I've been felt up tonight.

Divas
Oh yeah, should I be jealous?

Helen
No, it was just some lesbian who wants to Sooty me

Divas
Nice work.  It won't be the last time ya get felt tonight.

Helen
Is that a promise?

Divas
Oh yeah.

They kiss again then he lets her go

Divas
Right back to work you.  Later

DIVAS leaves and HELEN walks over to the bar.

She gets herself a bottle of beer and lights up a cigarette.  She stands soaking up the 
atmosphere of the club.

Suddenly out of nowhere a swarm of Police burst onto the scene.  The club suddenly 
becomes chaos as people try to get out the exits at the back of the club.  The cops are 
taking people out left right and centre.  Before HELEN has time to think a clubber 
runs into her sending her sliding across the floor.

As she gets back to her feet she is grabbed by a cop dragged out the club.  She doesn't 
struggle because she knows there's no way out for now.

EXT.  CLUB – NIGHT
All the clubbers that didn't get away which is most of them are all lined up outside.  
The Police are systematically checking each person and anybody found with any 
drugs on them are being put into the back of waiting Police Vans.

HELEN is stood in the middle of the line up and the Cops are approaching on either 
side.  She doesn't looked panicked though, she just stands looking either side of 
herself waiting for a gap to arrive so she can make a break for it.

As one of the clubbers near her is moved towards the awaiting van her chance shows 
itself.  HELEN takes it and she runs through a gap.  Before the Cops notice she's 
making her way past most of them.

A Female Police Officer steps into HELEN'S path.  As HELEN approaches the Cop 
she pulls back a fist and BANG she strikes the Cop knocking her to the floor and she 
carries on her run.  The crowd behind her cheer and they all start making a run for it.  
A mini riot ensues occupying the Police but two of them run after HELEN.

EXT.  STREET – NIGHT
HELEN bursts round the corner running as fast as she can, closely followed by the 
two Cops.

One of them is gaining on her but as he makes jump to tackle her she moves her body 
and makes right turn.

EXT.  ANOTHER STREET – NIGHT
The Cop misses by a long way and he falls into a line of parked cars, HELEN 
continues her run with just one Cop pursuing.

The Cop is fast and HELEN is beginning to tire, he gets alongside her and shoulder 
barges HELEN into at wall.  She bounces off the wall and lands heavily on the floor, 
she screams as her head THUDS against the pavement.

The Cop finishes her off with a knee in the back knocking the wind from her and he 
slaps on the hand cuffs.  His colleague catches up and they drag the HELEN back to 
her feet.

Cop
You're under arrest.

Helen
No shit.

Her arm and head are cut and bleeding.  She looks really pissed off as they escort her 
down the street back to the vans but she doesn't struggle.  The Cops are wearing big 
smiles.

INT.  POLICE STATION – INTERVIEW ROOM – NIGHT
HELEN sits staring at the wall.  The cut on her head has a plaster over it and she 
looks a little bruised from her fall to the floor.

There is a male and female Police Officer sat in front of her.  The Female Officer is 
dressed in suit so she must be of a high ranking.

On the table in front of HELEN is the bag of pills, a roll of money, HELEN'S Police 
Record, a pack of cigarettes, an ash tray and polystyrene cup of cold coffee.

Female Cop
Helen, anything you want to tell us about the pills or the money we found on you?

Silence, HELEN doesn't look at her.

Female Cop
Who are you selling for?

Again silence.

Female Cop
We've got you for dealing class A drugs, assaulting a Police Officer and resisting 
arrest, you'll go to prison with your record unless you help us.

Helen
Can I smoke?

Female Cop
Sure.  Are you going to start talking to us?

Helen lights up a cigarette.  The Female Cop manages to make eye contact with 
HELEN.

Female Cop
Helen are you going to help us?

Helen
Help you?  Fucking cops, where were you when I needed help?  I ain't doing any 
favours so charge me, send me down just don't bore me with the Ms Nice Cop 
routine.

Female Cop
Very well.  (to her colleague ) after Ms Knight has finished smoking bring her 
through for a strip search please.  I want to see if she has anything else hidden about 
her person.

The Female Cop stands up.

Helen
What is it with Dykes wanting to finger me tonight?

The Female Cop gives her nasty look.  HELEN flashes a smile in return.

FADE TO BLACK

FADE IN

INT.  PRISON VISITING ROOM – DAY
HELEN is sat across a table from DIVAS.  She isn't smiling anymore but she is still 
smoking.

Helen
Four fuckin' years I'm doing for you and the all you can say is sorry!

She takes an over long drag on her cigarette.

Divas
You didn't have to sell pills for me, I didn't force ya.

HELEN looks away.  A silence grows between them for a beat.

Divas
I'm gonna leave you some cash and a contact.  He'll change your identity so when 
your out you can come to America.  I'll set you up and make it up to you, I promise.

HELEN doesn't look at him when she speaks.

Helen
So that's it you're really going?

Divas
Yeah I need to be into something bigger than the drug scene in this shite hole.  I will 
make it up to you I promise, just come and find me. Ok?  Helen at least look at me.

HELEN looks back at him.

Helen
So this is goodbye then?

Divas
For now yeah, it is.  I'll leave the cash in your room in the hiding place.  It'll get you 
back on your feet when you're out again.

DIVAS stands up.

Divas
Goodbye Helen Knight

He leaves, HELEN watches him go.  She stands up and heads back to her prison life.

EXT.  PRISON – DAY
Superimposed Title:  3 YEARS LATER
The sun is shining and HELEN is stood outside the prison gates.

A beat up car pulls up the driver is a man named JERRARD.  HELEN gets in and off 
they drive.

INT.  HOUSE – DAY
Five people are sat drinking wine and smoking weed.  One of them is KAREN.

We hear a door open and JERRARD enters the room.

Jerrard
Look who I've found.

Everybody in the room looks at him.  JERRARD moves to one side revealing 
HELEN.  She smiles.

Everybody
Helen.

They all get up and take it turns to welcome her back and give her a hug.  The last in 
line is KAREN

Karen
You're early by about a year.

Helen
I'm about three years too late for my liking but you know me, I'm a good girl so they 
said I could go free.

Karen
So what now?

Helen
I'm gonna go to my room, then get meself a shower, get changed and then go down 
the local.  I need a pint.

They hug each other again and HELEN leaves the room.  We follow her as she walks 
up the stairs and into her old room.

INT.  HOUSE – HELEN'S ROOM – DAY
It's just as she left it – a mess.  There's a picture of her and DIVAS pinned to the wall.  
She takes this down and stares at it for a beat before tearing it in half and dropping it 
into the bin.

She grabs the bed and pulls it to one side revealing a loose floorboard.  She removes 
the floorboard and reaches inside.

HELEN pulls out an envelope and a bag of three year old weed, she throws the weed 
into the bin and tips the contents of the envelope onto the bed.

The envelope contained:

A roll of money.

A note from DIVAS.

An address with a contact name on it.

HELEN picks up the Contact's address and she looks it, places it in her wallet.  She 
then picks up the note from DIVAS.

CLOSE UP NOTE:
'I O U love Divas'

on the back of the note is an American phone number.

HELEN puts this into her wallet.

She removes £100 from the roll of money and puts this into her wallet.

She sits, sighs and then walks out the room.

INT.  HOUSE – DAY
HELEN enters the room.  She's got changed and looks much fresher for her shower.

Helen
Come on then

KAREN gets up

Helen
Anybody else?

Jerrard
We'll catch ya up, just gonna finish this off.

He holds up a splif.

INT.  PUB – DAY
HELEN and KAREN sit with pints of lager in front of them.  They are both smoking.

Karen
So what now?

Helen
I'm going straight

Karen
(surprised)
Really?

Helen
Yep I'm gonna start me life again, I've wasted too much time.  I'm gonna move out to 
America, make a clean break.

Karen
You going to see Divas?

HELEN shakes her head

Helen
No, no I'm not.  I wanna stay clear of crime, I'm getting meself a new identity and 
live a new life, get a nine to five, get a husband, the works.

KAREN laughs

Karen
You settled down?  Now that I'd love to see.

Helen
So would I.

CLOSE UP on HELEN as smiles.

DISOLVE TO:

INT.  DINER – AMERICA – DAY
CLOSE UP on HELEN – she's still smiling.

ANOTHER ANGLE on HELEN.  She sits eating a cheeseburger and fries.

A good looking, smartly dressed man catches her eye as he walks past her and sits in 
the booth behind her.  The man is his early 30's, his name is TRANT.

HELEN gets up and sits at TRANT'S table.

Helen
Hello.  Sorry I'm new to town and I was wondering if you know of any good places 
where I could stay and places looking for work.

TRANT looks a little surprised by her forwardness.

Trant
So you're looking for a tour guide?

Helen
Well yeah I guess I am.

Trant
Where you from?

Helen
England.  What's your name?

Trant
Trant, what's yours?

Helen
Zara, Zara King.
(HELEN is known as ZARA from here on it)

FADE TO BLACK

FADE IN

EXT.  TRANTS HOUSE – DAY
SUPERIMPOSED TITLE:  2 YEARS LATER
The grass on the garden is over grown and the cheap house is in need of repair.  We 
can see ZARA staring out the kitchen window.  She is washing up.  She no longer 
looks happy.

INT.  TRANTS HOUSE – KITCHEN – DAY
The house looks as bad inside as it does outside.

Trant
(off camera – shouting)
I want this place tidying up

ZARA doesn't reply.  She doesn't move.

TRANT stumbles into the room carrying a can of beer.  He no longer looks smart and 
attractive, he's scruffy and drunk.

Trant
You hear me?

Still no reply from ZARA.

TRANT takes the last swallow of his beer as he stands behind her.

Trant
Zara are you listening to me?  I want this place clean, I've got company tonight.

Zara
(without turning around)
I've got to go to work so you'll have to do it and they aren't company, their collectors 
come to pick up their illegal shit.

TRANT throws the empty beer can at the back of her head.

Zara
I've told you don't ever fucking do that.

TRANT slaps her on the back of the head and then laughs.  She spins around to face 
him.

Zara
Don't

Trant
Or what?  You'll leave me?

He lightly slaps her across the face.  ZARA reaches behind her, grabs a plate and 
throws it at him, she misses the plate shatters against the wall.

TRANT hits her across the face, this time it's with some force and it knocks her to 
one side.

Trant
You fuckin' bitch

ZARA'S lip starts bleeding.  She strikes back and hits him hard in the face, she 
doesn't stop, she continues to lay into him letting out lots of aggression.  TRANT 
regains his balance and he shoves her away, she falls back and BANGS against the 
sink.

Trant
You're going to fucking wish you'd not done that

Zara
No I won't

She grabs another plate and she lets it fly as TRANT makes a move towards her, this 
time it hits him hard in the face and it knocks him out like an out of shape boxer.  
He's out cold on the floor.

ZARA spits blood onto him.

Zara
Fucking wanker

She leaves the room in a rush. 

INT.  TRANT'S HOUSE – BEDROOM – DAY
ZARA enters the room.

She crouches on the floor and pulls a rucksack from under the bed.  She throws this 
on the bed.  She stays on the floor and pulls up a square of carpet revealing a small 
hatch underneath.

ZARA opens the hatch and reaches in as far as her elbow and after a beat pulls out a 
blue velvet sack.  She stands up and packs the sack carefully into the rucksack.

She moves over to the drawers and throws an assortment of clothes on the bed and 
then screws them up and chucks them into the rucksack as she leaves the room.

INT.  TRANT'S HOUSE - KITCHEN – DAY
ZARA returns from the bedroom, she puts the rucksack down in the kitchen and 
opens a kitchen drawer.  TRANT is still out cold on the floor.

She pulls out a hand gun, she checks it's loaded – it is.

She removes her wedding ring and drops it onto TRANT.

She grabs the rucksack and puts the gun down the back of her jeans.  She leaves the 
house forever.

INT.  KELLY'S HOUSE – BEDROOM – DAY
The house looks like the one we just left.

KELLY lies on the bed, she is pregnant and isn't far from giving birth.

We hear a THUMP, THUMP, THUMP as somebody bangs on the front door.  
KELLY doesn't bother to move, she just lies there listening.

THUMP, THUMP, THUMP goes the door again.  KELLY rolls herself of the bed this 
time.

INT.  KELLY'S HOUSE – LANDING – DAY
Kelly waddles to the stairs as the door keeps THUMPING.

KELLY begins to descend the stairs.

Kelly
(shouting)
ok, ok I'm coming

INT.  KELLY'S HOUSE – FRONT ROOM – DAY
The room is pretty untidy and there are children's toys scattered around the floor.

We hear the front door open.

Kelly
(off camera)
oh it's you, come in

The living room door swings open and ZARA bursts in, she's moving like The 
Tasmanian Devil.

Zara
I'm fuckin' leavin' him, you comin' with me?

Kelly
What?

Zara
He hit me again

She points to her cut lip.

Zara
So do ya wanna come with me?

Kelly
Come with you?  Have you not noticed this?

She pats her belly

Zara
I've got a way of making money, you've got the car, I'll do all the driving, what d'ya 
say?

Kelly
I ain't the Thelma and Louise type.  I know you didn't really come here to take me 
with you so what do you want?

Zara
Ok, ok, can I borrow your car?  I just need it to get me out of here.  Fast.

Kelly
No.....

Zara
Come on Kel, pleeease.

Kelly
Let me finish, it's at the garage so you can't go anywhere in it cuz I won't go 
nowhere.  If you're really going....

Zara
I am this time

Kelly
I've got about a 100 bucks in the house that you can take with you, if it helps.

Zara
Do you mind?

Kelly
No I don't mind

Zara
It should make good travelling money, thank you.

EXT.  KELLY'S HOUSE – DAY
ZARA and KELLY are giving each other a hug at the front door.

Kelly
Where are you going to go?

Zara
I'll let ya know when I get there.

They let each other go

Zara
Ok I'm gonna go find meself a lift, I'll be back someday to pay you this cash back.

Kelly
You come back when you've made your fortune or whatever it is you're gonna do.  
Take care.

ZARA bends down to KELLY'S belly.

Zara
Goodbye little un, you be a good girl for mummy.

ZARA now walks down the path.  They wave goodbye.

EXT.  DINER – CAR PARK – AFTERNOON
A car pulls into the car park and stops, ZARA gets out.  She bends down to the open 
window and says something to the driver.

She adjusts the rucksack on her back and walks into the Diner.

INT.  DINER – AFTERNOON
ZARA sits in an unoccupied booth.  She flicks through the menu.

A bored and tired looking waitress walks over to her table.

Waitress
Can I take your order?

Zara
Cheeseburger, fries and a large Diet Coke.

The waitress writes this down then walks away.

ZARA stares out the window and watches the cars go by.

ANGLE ON THE DOOR as a man in his mid 20's enters.  He sits in booth just 
behind ZARA.  His name is MORGAN, he looks pretty down.

ANGLE ON WAITRESS as she walks over with ZARA'S food.  She puts the plate 
down in front of ZARA and then walks to MORGAN.

ANGLE ON ZARA

Zara
Thank (she notices she's talking to herself) oh forget it.

She opens the burger and pours a lot of ketchup on to it, drowning the burger in the 
sea of red sauce.  She puts it back together and begins to eat.  Sauce falls out onto her 
fries with the first bite.

As we watch ZARA eat her burger we can hear the conversation MORGAN is having 
with his cell phone behind her.

Morgan
I can tell you're leaving me, the apartment is empty.

(pause)
But but why?

(pause)
Found somebody else?   Who?

(pause)
No I want to know?

(pause)
You've ruined my life Jess, you can at least tell me who you've run off with?

(pause)
Dave, you're fucking Dave, he was my best man at OUR wedding, you two-timing 
bitch.

ZARA smiles to herself whilst listening to MORGAN'S misfortune.

Morgan
(cont)
I'll speak to you however I fucking like.

(pause)
to fucking right we're getting a divorce.

(pause)
you're getting half?  What half you've taken everything out the apartment except the 
fish.

(pause)
no I'm gonna go to Vegas and win a fortune then I'm gonna come back and hire a 
fucking hitman to kill both you and that bastard you've been fucking behind my back 
and then I'm gonna send him after your family......hello?  hello?  Jess.

Unbe-fucking-lievable.

We hear a breaking sound as MORGAN slams the phone against the table.  A bit of 
the phone flies over ZARA'S head and lands in her fries.  She looks at it then an idea 
forms, she picks up the piece of phone, her burger and rucksack and switches herself 
to MORGAN'S table.

MORGAN has got his head in his hands and he's crying into them, ZARA calmly sits 
down like she belongs there.

She slides the bit of phone across the table to get his attention.

Zara
I believe this belongs to you.

MORGAN looks up at her with his red eyes.

Morgan
Huh?

Zara
The bit of the phone, yours I take it, it landed in my fries, its covered in sauce now.

ZARA takes a large bite from her cheeseburger.

MORGAN wipes some tears from his eyes, then looks her trying to figure out why 
she's sat down with him.

Morgan
If you've sat here to complain about me interrupting your meal then just don't, I've 
had such a bad day, I've lost my wife and lost my job in fact I've just had the worst 
day of my fucking life and it's only (looks at his fake Rolex watch) 3 o clock.

Zara
No I've sat down to make a proposal.

Morgan
(puzzled)
proposal?

Zara
I couldn't help hearing your conversation.

Morgan
And?  I'm really not in the mood for guessing games so please tell me why you're sat 
there spilling ketchup all over my table.

Zara
Ok I'm going to Vegas and I'll pay you to take me there.

Morgan
Why would you pay me to take you to Vegas?

Zara
Because you said you wanted to go there to win loadsa money and then hire a 
hitman....

Morgan
Wait a minute I didn't really mean that you know.

Zara
But the going to Vegas thing is a good idea, I'll pay you 10 grand plus expenses once 
you get me there.

MORGAN looks at her for a second or two trying to figure out if she's for real or not.

Zara
Come on what ya got to lose?  Your wife's fucking the best man, your boss got rid of 
ya, what else ya gonna do this week?

EXT.  DINER – DAY
ZARA is stood by the side of the road trying to look sexy in the hope that a car will 
stop.  So far it's not working.

The sky is getting dark, looks like rain.

INT.  DINER – DAY
MORGAN is sat drinking his coffee whilst looking out the window at ZARA.

The sky opens and rain pours.  We see ZARA put her hood up and she begins to walk 
down the road.

MORGAN keeps watching her, he puts some money down to cover his bill and leaves 
the Diner.  We watch through the window as he gets into his car and pulls up 
alongside ZARA.

She bends down at the window and after a short amount of time she gets in the 
passenger side.

They pull away and begin their journey.

INT.  MORGAN'S CAR – DAY
The rain is now lashing down and sound of the windscreen wipers squeaking can be 
heard.

ZARA is holding up a bottle of Evian that has a Goldfish swimming in it.

Zara
Why?

Morgan
It's the only thing that was left in my apartment.  She even took the bowl he lived in.  
I'm Morgan by the way, he's called Flipper.

Zara
Pleased to meet you Morgan, I'm Zara.

They shake hands.  She taps the side of the bottle

Zara
And hello Flipper

INT.  TRANT'S HOUSE – KITCHEN - DAY
TRANT is still lying the floor.  He slowly wakes up.

As he sits up he notices the wedding ring lying on his chest, he holds it up and smiles 
to himself.  He smile suddenly turns to a look of 'oh shit'.  He gets to his feet and he 
runs out the kitchen.

Trant
(off camera - shouting)
I'm gonna fucking kill her

INT.  TRANT'S HOUSE – BEDROOM - DAY
TRANT is on the floor with his hand in the open hatch.

TRANT gets back to his feet, he's turning white, his eyes have widened with fear.

We hear a car pull up outside TRANT leaves the bedroom.

INT.  TRANT'S HOUSE – HALLWAY - DAY
TRANT makes his way towards the door, it swings open and three men in suits walk 
in.  TRANT stops in his tracks and he tries to look casual.

The main man of the three is called KASS.  He's in his 40's and he's in charge.  The 
other two men are half his age and twice his size, they are his Protection.

Trant just the man.

(nervous)
erm yeah, d'ya want a drink?

Kass
No thanks this isn't a social call.  But you can get me the little blue velvet bag that's 
full of stones.

TRANT just stares at KASS, he doesn't know what to say.

Kass
Today would be nice.

Trant
Erm yeah um the stones, well you see there's a problem.

Kass
Problem Trant?

The Protection move towards TRANT, he takes a step back.

Trant
Yeah, well ya see it's my wife she seems to have vanished

Kass
So file a missing persons, your material affairs aren't of my concern

Trant
No, right, but the stones have erm

One of the Protection men grabs TRANT roughly by the back of his head and KASS 
pulls a gun and sticks it in TRANT'S face.

Kass
Spit it out

Trant
They've gone, she's taken them, the stones have gone.

The Protection hit TRANT hard in the face, this punch instantly burst his nose open, 
blood pours from the wound.

Both protection men drag TRANT into the front room.

INT.  TRANT'S HOUSE – FRONT ROOM - DAY

The Protection sit TRANT down in front of a table.  TRANT sits squirming but he 
cannot get away.

KASS walks into the room calmly a beat later.  He's toying with a large kitchen knife, 
he's cleaning under his finger nails with it as he walks towards the scared TRANT.

Kass
Gone Trant?  Where have the stones and your fucking bitch gone to?

Trant
I don't know, I don't know, please don't hurt me, it's not me, it's not me.

WIDE ANGLE – we can see all people in the scene.

Trant
Please don't hurt me, please it's not me, it's her, I'll help you find her.

Kass
Shush.

TRANT stops squirming realising it's not going to help.

Kass
Trant now you know that I'm just the collector.

Trant
Yes

Kass
And what do you think I'm going to tell my boss?  That you can't control some 
woman?  Do you think he's going to believe that?

Trant
No he won't

KASS is a few feet from TRANT.

Kass
No he won't, THEN WHAT MAKES YOU THINK I FUCKING WILL?

TRANT begins squirming again.  KASS moves closer.

Kass
Do you think I'm stupid?

TRANT doesn't reply.  So KASS slaps him across the face.

Kass
Do I look stu-fucking-pid to you?

Trant
No, I'm telling you the truth.

Kass
Well I'm going to find out and believe me this won't hurt me one little bit.  (to the 
protection)  put his hand on the table.

One of them stretches out TRANT'S arm and lays his hand flat on the table.  KASS 
holds it in place with his knee and gets a good grip on the knife.

Kass
Which finger can you live without?

Trant
Please don't, I'm not lying to you, please don't

KASS pays no attention he places the knife onto TRANT'S little finger and then 
applies pressure.  TRANT begins screaming.

Kass
Where are the stones Trant?

Trant
I don't know, I'll help you find her, I know who'll know.

Kass
Who'll know where they are Trant?

Trant
Kelly she'll now where Zara is.  Please don't hurt me.

KASS smiles.  TRANT smiles thinking he's off the hook.

KASS pushes the knife down and TRANT screams as he looses his finger.  
Everybody lets go of him.  TRANT holds his hand close to him and blood pours over 
his t-shirt.  Tears pour from his eyes.

Kass
(to the protection)
I'm going to make a call.

KASS leaves the room and the Protection keep an eye TRANT.

INT.  MOTEL ROOM – NIGHT
The room has a double bed and a TV.  There is an open door in the corner of the room 
and through this we can see the En Suite bathroom.

The Motel door swings open, ZARA enters carrying her rucksack and she's followed 
by MORGAN who is carrying Flipper and a shopping bag.

ZARA puts the rucksack down on the bed and MORGAN places Flipper by the TV 
and puts his shopping bag on the bed.

Zara
I can't believe they've only got a double room left.

Morgan
It'll be fine, you can take the bed, I'll sleep in the chair.

Zara
No you get some sleep, you've been driving all day.  I'll take the chair.

Morgan
You sure?  I'm trying to be gentlemanly.

Zara
Yeah I'm sure, I wouldn't have said it if I wasn't.  Now get changed.

Morgan
Why?

Zara
I wanna go out to a bar and get a drink or two.  I think you're a little over dressed so 
get changed and we can get going.

MORGAN nods and grabs his shopping bag, he walks to the En Suite and shuts the 
door.

Once the door shuts ZARA removes the gun from the back of her jeans.   She puts 
this into the rucksack.  She then sits herself down in the chair.  She pulls her wallet 
out of her pocket, opens it and removes a note.

CLOSE UP NOTE
I O U Love DIVAS.

She flicks it over to the show the phone number on the back.

She looks at it for a beat.

Zara
I'll speak to you tomorrow Mr Divas

She puts the note back again.

INT.  KELLY'S HOUSE – FRONT ROOM – NIGHT
The lights are all turned out.  On the couch are two teenagers.  They are lying on top 
of each other making out.  The boy is called PETE and the girl is JANE.  They are 
both 16.

Pete
Are you sure we'll be left alone?

Jane
Yep we have all night to do whatever we want.

They carry on kissing and feeling each other.  They are interrupted by a loud 
THUMPING on the front door.

JANE turns her head towards the THUMPING, PETE just kisses her neck, she groans 
and turns her attention back to him.

THUMP, THUMP, THUMP goes the door again.

Jane
I ought to get that.

Pete
No leave it

Jane
No it's ok, I'll get rid of whoever it is.

Suddenly a loud CRASH as the door is broken open.  Both PETE and JANE fall off 
the couch and the door swings open.  A light is flicked on KASS, TRANT and the 
Protection stand in the room, looking a PETE and JANE get back to their feet and 
adjust their clothes.

Jane
Who the fuck are you?

Kass
Not important kids.  Where's – what's her name?

Trant
Kelly

Kass
Right – where's Kelly?

Jane
None of your business.

KASS looks over at the startled PETE.

Kass
(to Jane)
this your boyfriend?

Before she has time to answer one of the Protection grabs PETE and pins him up 
against the wall by his throat, PETE'S feet are slightly off the ground.

Jane
Get off him

She starts pounding her fists into the Protection mountain but it has no effect.  KASS 
drags her off.

Kass
I'll ask again, where's Kelly?

Jane
At the hospital, she's gone into labour.

Kass
Which hospital?

Jane
St James'.

Kass
Right lets go

The Protection lets PETE go.  He drops to the floor and JANE runs over to him.  
Everybody else leaves.

Jane
You fuckin assholes

Kass
Be nice or I'll come back.

They all exit the house now.

Pete
(coughing)
who were they?

Jane
I don't know, I really don't know

INT.  BAR – NIGHT
It is a little bit country in here.  BILLY RAY CYRUS plays from the jukebox in the 
corner.  There are 3 pool tables.  The clientele are all Cowboys with their Cowgirls.  
People are either playing pool, drinking, chatting and a couple are up and line 
dancing.  The only people who don't fit in are ZARA and MORGAN who are sat in 
the corner with a pitcher of beer and two glasses in front of them.

Morgan
Can we go?

Zara
Why?

Morgan
I dunno could it be because we don't belong here?

Zara
Calm down, so we don't fit in, what's the worst that can happen?

Morgan
We could get into a fight if we look at somebody wrong or something?

Zara
And?

MORGAN doesn't answer he just looks back at her.

Zara
You never been in a fight before Morgan?

Morgan
Well no, have you?

Zara
Yeah loads.  Anyway what did you like doing for fun, before you took up being my 
cross country buddy?

Morgan
I used to stay in a lot with my wife, we didn't go out a lot, well I didn't anyway.

Zara
So how long was she cheating on you for?

Morgan
I don't know, I hadn't really thought about it been trying not to.

Zara
Ok how long were you married for?

Morgan
Four years

Zara
Bet she was cheating on you for about a year, did she used to shave her legs a lot?

Morgan
I don't know, why?

Zara
It's a tell tale sign of cheating on your husband.  No offence but after four years of 
marriage she wouldn't be shaving her legs to sit in front of the TV with you, did you 
have sex much?

Morgan
No, not a lot I suppose

Zara
Was that your choice or hers?

Morgan

Bet she just got bored which is why she cheated on you.

been feeling bad all day and I think you've just done it, you've made me feel a whole

Zara

somebody else who floated her boat better, you know?

MORGAN looks hurt

Zara
(oblivious to MORGAN)

Bet she used to work late a lot or go out at least once a week with a 'girlfriend' and 
stay over or you'd come home to find your best mate round there who'd just 'dropped 
by' to see you and hung around cuz you weren't in.

MORGAN'S eyes start watering up

ZARA snaps out of her talking trance and looks at him

Shit, sorry, sometimes I loose track of what my mouth is saying and things just come 
out.  I didn't mean to get carried away, I'm sorry

He gets up and starts to walk away

Zara
Morgan I'm sorry

He just keeps on walking

(to herself)

She lights up a cigarette and has a drink of beer.

One of the Cowboys playing pool with his Buddy begins looking at her, she looks 
back and smiles at him.  MORGAN returns and sits down again.

Zara
You ok?  I am sorry.

Morgan
Yeah I'm fine, I'll be fine.  Let's change the subject, what about you?  What's your 
story?

Zara
The opposite of yours I guess, I left him.

Morgan
How come?  Was he fucking your best mate?

Zara
(laughs)
I hope not cuz if he is he's about to become a Dad!  I had my reasons for leaving 
though

Morgan
Is that how you got the cut on your lip?

Zara
Yeah, yeah it is.  I'm I really that much of a clichι?

Morgan
No it was just a guess, did he hit you regularly?

ZARA looks away to the Cowboy's playing pool for a beat

Morgan
We can change the subject if you want

Zara
No I asked about you, it's my turn I guess.  He only hit me twice which is twice too 
often for me.  Don't know why I didn't leave his ass the first time.

Morgan
Think he'll come after you?

Zara
No, no way.  I'll never see him again, he's as good as dead.

Morgan
So why Vegas?

Zara
I'm a good gambler plus I've got an old friend from England who owes me.  Do ya 
wanna have some fun?

Morgan
Doing what?

Zara
See those two Cowboys playing pool over there?

Morgan glances over to where ZARA is looking.

Morgan
Yeah what about them?

Zara
I reckon we can take them at a game of pool.  How much money have you got on ya?  
I've got 50 bucks.

Morgan
I can match your 50 but I'm not very happy about playing pool for money.

Zara
Why not, you can play can't ya?

Morgan
Well yeah but

Zara
No buts, come lets go introduce ourselves.

She stands up, MORGAN doesn't budge

Zara
Come on, live a little or I'll call ya boring again!

ZARA smiles at him, MORGAN smiles a little smile back at her

Zara
You've got a nice smile Morgan you should do it more often.

She holds out her hands, he takes them and she leads him over to pool table.

The two Cowboys stop playing and look at her as she confidently strides up the table.

Zara
Howdy boys, me and my friend were wondering if you wanted a frame?  For a price 
of course.

She leans against the edge of the table, MORGAN keeps his distance.

Cowboy #1
Only if the price is right.

Zara
50 dollars a man, should we 'come on down' or take our money elsewhere?

COWBOY #1 whispers to COWBOY #2, they look over at ZARA and MORGAN a 
couple of times before answering.

Cowboy #1
If that money is burning a hole in your pocket then we'll lighten your wallet.

Zara
I'll let you break.

FADE TO BLACK

FADE IN

INT.  BAR – NIGHT
ANGLE ON THE POOL TABLE.  There's just the black ball left, ZARA is lining up 
for a two cushion double.  Both the COWBOYS stand watching with their arms 
crossed.  $200 is on the side of the table.

ZARA lines up and she looks COWBOY #1 in the eyes, she holds her stare as she 
fires the cue ball down the table, it hits the black which travels back up the table, it 
rattles in the pocket to ZARA'S left and then it drops in.

ZARA stands up and holds the cue above her head.

Zara
I am Victoria!

She walks over to the money, picks it up and hands it to MORGAN.  She holds out 
her hand to COWBOY #1

Zara
Better luck next time

COWBOY #1 doesn't shake her hand, he throws his cue across the pool table and 
storms off, closely followed by the unhappy COWBOY #2.  ZARA laughs at them.

MORGAN passes her $100.

Zara
Right it's my round then.

Morgan
Don't you think we should get out of here?  Those guys look pissed.

Zara
Don't worry about it, they probably didn't like being beaten by a girl, relax and enjoy 
the victory, you played well.

EXT.  BAR – NIGHT
ZARA and MORGAN walk outside, they are a little drunk and laughing with each 
other.

As they walk across the car park they hear

Cowboy #1
(off camera)
Think you're pretty smart don't ya?

ZARA and MORGAN spin around to face the two Cowboys.

WIDE ANGLE on all four of them.  MORGAN stops smiling, he looks worried, 
ZARA isn't phased.

Zara
We're smarter and better pool players than you, problem with the Billy Ray?

Morgan
Zara don't

Zara
(to MORGAN)
don't worry

Cowboy #1
Give us our money back and we'll let you go unharmed.

Zara
If you want your money back then you'll have to come and get it

ZARA moves forward and so does COWBOY #1.  As they get close ZARA swings, 
COWBOY #1 sidesteps her punch and he pushes the off-balance ZARA towards 
COWBOY #2.  He grabs ZARA and he gets a tight grip, holding her arms against her 
side.  MORGAN doesn't move.

Cowboy #1
I'll deal with you in a minute darlin'

He then carries on towards MORGAN.

ZARA thrashes about but she can't get away from COWBOY #2'S hold.

Zara
(shouting)
Get the fuck away from him

COWBOY #1 squares up to MORGAN and he swings, the first punch knocks 
MORGAN to the floor.  Whilst he's down MORGAN gets kicked repeatedly by the 
laughing COWBOY.  ZARA is going crazy but she can't get free.

Zara
MORGAN GET UP

COWBOY #1 laughs and he lays into MORGAN some more.  MORGAN is looking a 
bit bloody and he's stopped moving.  COWBOY #1 bends down and he takes 
MORGAN'S wallet which he pockets.

He turns back to ZARA

Cowboy #1
One down, do you want the same or are you gonna pay what you owe?

Zara
I'm kick the living shit out of you, you red-neck-hill-billy-mother-fucker!

Cowboy #1
(to COWBOY #2)
Keep a good hold of her

COWBOY #1 pulls back his fist and as he starts to punch he is tackled by MORGAN.  
As COWBOY #1 is stunned MORGAN looses control, he lets go with a barrage of 
punches until COWBOY #1 has hit the deck.

COWBOY #2 realises his friend is in trouble and he lets go of ZARA to help.  The 
second she's lose ZARA spins around and punches COWBOY #2 hard.  She doesn't 
let up until COWBOY #2 is on the floor.

ZARA kicks COWBOY #2 hard in the face and he gets knocked out.  She then drags 
MORGAN away from the beating he is giving COWBOY #1.  She bends down and 
takes MORGAN'S wallet back.  She then takes the wallet from COWBOY #1 then 
does the same from COWBOY #2.

We hear COWBOY #1 groan in pain as he lies and floor.  MORGAN and ZARA run 
from the bar in the direction of their Motel. 

INT.  MOTEL ROOM – NIGHT
The door bursts open and the two fighters enter the room.  ZARA and MORGAN are 
both breathing heavily.  MORGAN collapses onto his back on the bed.  ZARA sits 
down in the chair.

Zara
How are ya feelin'?

Morgan
Hurt

Zara
Yeah but wow you really kicked ass, I'm impressed

MORGAN sits up.  ZARA smiles at him, MORGAN smiles back as blood drips down 
his face.

Zara
You do look like shit though

Morgan
Yeah?  You should see the other guy

Zara
(laughing)
come on let's get you cleaned up.

INT.  MOTEL ROOM – EN SUITE -  NIGHT
ZARA runs the tap and fills the sink with hot water.  She takes one of the 
complimentary towels and dips the corner of it in the water.

She climbs onto the sink unit.

Zara
Come here

MORGAN stands in-between her legs and she gently dabs the cuts on his face.

Morgan
Ow

Zara
Stop being a girl, this doesn't hurt, your cuts aren't too bad.  So did you have fun 
tonight?

Morgan
Yeah, yeah I did, it was one of the strangest nights I've had in a while though, in fact 
it's been one of my strangest days

Zara
Yeah I can imagine, bet when ya woke up this morning you didn't expect you'd be 
taking the long road with me.

Morgan
No I was expecting to go to work and then stay in watching TV with my wife.  
Strange how things turn out.

She wipes some of the blood off his face, once he looks a bit better she stops.

Zara
Take your t-shirt off

Morgan

Zara
Nothing kinky I just wanna check your ok, you took a lot of kicks to the body.

MORGAN removes his top.  ZARA gently wipes hot water across some of the bruises 
that are appearing on his ribs.

Zara
These hurt?

Morgan
Yeah, a bit.  I haven't thought about pain yet, adrenaline is still rushing

Zara
Yeah it is, things like this always get me horny

Morgan
(smiling)
Really?

Zara
Yeah, when I was back in England I used to get into all kindsa mischief, get chased 
by the cops and then find my ex-boyfriend and we'd have the best sex

Morgan
Still feeling horny?

Zara
Yeah, don't you feel it too?

They gaze at each other, the gaze lasts for a second longer than it should.  ZARA 
breaks the stare first.

Zara
Erm, come on get dressed you'll live.

Morgan
Yeah right

He puts his t-shirt back on.

EXT.  ST JAMES' HOSPITAL – NIGHT
A car pulls up and out get KASS, TRANT and The Protection.

The Automatic Doors part as they enter the Hospital.

INT.  ST JAMES' HOSPITAL – RECEPTION AREA – NIGHT
They walk up to the desk which has a tired looking nurse sorting files.

Trant
Can you tell me where Kelly Stanwick is?

The night nurse starts taping away on the computer.

Night Nurse
She's in labour, NO visitors

KASS gives TRANT a look

Trant
I guess we'll have to wait

Kass
Guess so.  I hope for you she's of some use Trant

Trant

INT.  MOTEL ROOM – NIGHT
ZARA sits asleep in the chair, she's got a blanket thrown over her.  MORGAN lies in 
the bed.  He turns one way, then the other before he sits up, wide awake.

He crawls out of bed, he picks up his wallet from besides and he takes out a picture of 
him and his wife.  He strokes the face of his wife, tears swell in his eyes as he looks at 
the picture.

Morgan
Fuck it

He puts the picture down and walks into the bathroom

INT.  MOTEL – BATHROOM – NIGHT
MORGAN turns on the light then runs the water and splashes some on his face.  He 
looks at his reflection in the mirror.

Morgan
She's doesn't care about you, accept it.

He turns the light out and walks back into the room.

INT.  MOTEL ROOM – NIGHT
MORGAN stands looking around the room, his eyes stop on the sleeping ZARA and 
he smiles.  He looks around the room again this time stopping on the rucksack.  He 
walks over to it and he places it on the bed.

MORGAN carefully opens the rucksack trying to not make a sound.  He stops his 
search as ZARA adjusts herself but she doesn't wake up so he carries on.

His hand slips inside the rucksack and he pulls out the gun.  He jumps when he 
realises what he has in his hand.

Morgan
Oh shit

MORGAN thinks back to something said in the bar earlier

Zara
(voice over)
I'll never see him again, he's as good as dead.

Morgan
Oh shit

He holds the gun out in front of him, his hand is shaking, he's very nervous as he 
approaches ZARA.  He kicks her leg but she doesn't wake up, he tries again, harder 
this time.

Morgan
Wake up

ZARA stirs, she rubs her eyes

Zara
What?  What's wrong?

As she opens her eyes she's greeted by the sight of MORGAN holding the gun

Zara
Oh

Morgan
Oh?  That's all you can say?  Fucking oh?

Zara
That doesn't suit you Morgan, put the gun down

Morgan
No, you killed him didn't you?

Zara
Killed who?  I have no idea what your talking about

Morgan
Your husband, that's why you're running away.

ZARA gives a half laugh

Zara
No I didn't kill him, I don't know where you got that from

ZARA moves towards MORGAN but he grips the gun tighter, he look serious now.  
ZARA gets the message and backs off.

Zara
Morgan put the gun down and I'll explain everything

Morgan
No

Zara
Morgan please you're making me nervous, please put the gun down

Morgan
You can still talk, why are you going to Vegas?  I want to know the truth Zara.

Zara
Ok but sit down and try to relax.  I'm going to Vegas to sell some stones.

MORGAN sits on the bed but keeps the gun on ZARA.

Morgan
Stones?

Zara
Diamonds, stolen diamonds to be exact, let me go into my bag and I'll show you

She for his permission before moving, MORGAN signals OK.  ZARA carefully 
moves towards the rucksack.  She pulls out all her clothes and removes the blue velvet 
sack and lays it carefully onto the bed.  She opens it.

ANGLE ON DIAMONDS

Zara
There's $50,000 worth there, that's why I'm on the run to Vegas now will you put the 
gun down and I'll fill you in on the blanks.

MORGAN thinks for a beat

Morgan
Ok

He hands the gun over to ZARA who takes it.  She breaths a sigh of relief as she puts 
the safety on.

Zara
Fuck me Morgan don't do that again

Morgan
Ok, just explain what you're up to are you a thief?

Zara
No I'm not my husband is a Holder

Morgan
Holder?

Zara
A Holder is someone who holds illegal products e.g. stolen diamonds.  He took the 
job when he lost his and he decided it was easier to sit on his arse watching TV and 
getting paid to stash things in the house than to work for a living.  Can you guess what 
they call the guy he gives the products to?

Morgan
Erm a Collector?

Zara
You're quicker than drug taking athlete.  The Collector then passes the product onto 
his boss who is normally the guy in charge of the whole operation.

Morgan
So why did you say your husband is as good as dead?

Zara
He probably is.  The Collector was coming around to get the diamonds and since 
they've gone they'll probably take him out for either stealing or being a shit Holder, 
basically it's his problem.

Morgan
So what's in Vegas?

Zara
An old friend.  We used to go out with each other and I used to sell drugs for him 
until I got arrested and he left England to start his life of crime in America.  I'm 
hoping he'll shift the stones for me, then I'm gonna take the cash and live a normal 
life for probably the first time since I was 10.

Morgan
Is what you've told me true?

Zara
Yep, every word.  I'll understand if you don't wanna take me to where I need to go.

MORGAN looks at her

Zara
Why don't you sleep on it and let me know in the morning.  I need some sleep, 
travelling makes me tired.

Morgan
Take the bed, I don't think I'll use it.

FADE TO BLACK

EXT.  HIGHWAY – DAY
The road is long, dusty and deserted.  The only thing that can be seen is the one car in 
the distance.  Soon the car is upon us, it is MORGAN'S CAR, we can see ZARA is 
driving as it hurtles past.

INT.  MORGAN'S CAR – DAY
MORGAN is sat yawning in the passenger seat, the Evian bottle containing Flipper is 
seat belted up in the back.

Zara
It's good you're still coming, I thought you'd have given up hanging about with me 
after last night.

Morgan
No point in backing out now.  To be honest I'm enjoying cutting loose.  Besides never 
been to Vegas

Zara
Never

Morgan
No never, wanted to though.  Always wanted to put a shit load of money on one 
number, you know the kinda thing

Zara
Yeah I know what ya mean.  What number would you bet on?

Morgan
14 black

Through the windscreen we can see a hitchhiker.

Zara
Think we should pick him up?

Morgan
I dunno

Zara
I think we should, he's in the middle of nowhere.

They get close and slow down.

EXT.  ROADSIDE – DAY
The hitchhiker is called PAXTON.  He's in his 40's but he's dressed like an 18 year 
old SKATEBOARD PUNK.  He doesn't look normal.

ZARA hangs out the window

Need a ride?

Zara
Then climb in

PAXTON opens the back door and gets in the car.

INT.  MORGAN'S CAR – DAY
The car starts moving again

Paxton
I'm Paxton, why have you got a fish in a bottle?

Zara
I'm Zara, this is Morgan, the fish is Flipper.

Paxton
So tell me Zara is he a big M with a small Organ?

MORGAN doesn't look too happy with the comment.

Zara
(laughing)
I wouldn't know, we aren't together in that way.  What are you up to out here?

Paxton
Going to a party

Morgan
Party out here?

Zara
How far is it?

Paxton
Not far, couple of hours drive.  I'm a Chemist.

Zara

PAXTON pulls two pills out and hands them to ZARA.

The HOUSE music is loud.  Everywhere you look you can see people dancing, glow

MORGAN returns from the make-shift bottle bar with beers for him and ZARA.  He 
hands her a bottle, PAXTON has already disappeared into Club Land.

She pulls out a pill and swallows it with a gulp of beer.  She pulls a face as it goes

compared to everywhere else.  It's full of people who've been partying too hard but 
has a very relaxed atmosphere.

ZARA and MORGAN enter.

MORGAN opens the glove box and pulls out a gun.

Nice, that'll come in handy, check it for bullets.

MORGAN fumbles about with the gun

Zara
Take the wheel and pass me the gun

MORGAN leans across and grabs the wheel.  ZARA grabs the gun and checks the 
gun is loaded, it is.  She passes the gun back to MORGAN and take the wheel again.

Zara
Sorted, you ever used a gun before?

Morgan
Never

Zara
Well then looks like you'll be going to Zara's School Of Guns.

ZARA puts her foot down and car speeds away.

INT.  MOTEL – NIGHT
ZARA and MORGAN are lying on the bed together.

Zara
We made it, now just gotta wait for a couple of days till the party rolls into town 
again.

They kiss.

Zara
This is what I wanted to tell ya the other night at the party.

Morgan
I don't follow

Zara
That's why I was pissed off with you, I fancied ya, I just didn't realise it till I saw ya 
with somebody else.

Morgan
You should have said

Zara
Surprisingly enough I'm not very good at things like that

Morgan
Oh come on, you're the most forward person I know

Zara
Still don't like to open myself up to being rejected so I didn't say anything.

Morgan
I wish you had then I wouldn't have gone with Danielle and we wouldn't be in this 
mess now

Zara
Never any point to saying things like that, we just need to hope she's at the party and 
not let her get away until we have the stones back.

EXT.  FIELD – DAY
The day is bright and sunny, the field is lush and green.  ZARA is lining empty beer 
bottles along a wall.  MORGAN is stood watching her.

Zara
Time for shooting 1 0 1.

Morgan
Do I really need to do this?  I don't like guns

Zara
Your American for Christ sake, I thought you guys all loved guns?

Morgan
Too many movies, not everyone likes guns

Zara
Well you're gonna learn so stop whining cuz if we get into shit then it'll come in 
handy to at least look like you know what you're doing.

Morgan
Ok ok then show me oh great one

Zara
Ok and cut the sarcasm, it doesn't suit you.  Grip your gun tight and hold it like this.

ZARA holds the gun in normal way and has her other hand placed under the handle 
for support.

MORGAN does the same

Zara
Now look down the sight and pick the first bottle as your target

POV MORGAN.  Looking down the gun with the beer bottle in the sight

Yeah, dead centre

Zara
Then pull the trigger

BANG the gun shoots.  The bottle explodes

MORGAN looks amazed that he made the shot

Zara
Wow, nice shot, you got good aim.  Are you sure you've never tried this before?

Morgan
Nope, never

Zara
Well try again, I wanna see if that was just a fluke

MORGAN aims again.  Same result the gun fires and the bottle explodes

Zara
That'll do for me, you pass my class

Morgan
Can't I have a go at the rest?

Zara
No you need to save your bullets, it won't do any good to have an empty gun unless 
ya wanna throw it at people.

Morgan
So what are you like?  Can you shoot like that?

Zara
I'm not bad

As soon as she's finished talking she fires 3 shots and takes out all the 3 remaining 
beer bottles

Zara
Yeah I can shoot

Morgan
So where did you learn?

Zara
Back in England, in my rebellious youth

Morgan
So what's your story then?  How come you've ended up in America?

Zara
It's kinda long sad story

Morgan
Well we've got some time so tell me, I want to know all about you.

Zara
Ok then.

They sit down in the grass and ZARA lights up a cigarette.

Zara
My life was normal I guess until I was 8 then it all changed.  My dad left me and my 
mum for another woman.  She never really accept what happened and always on 
tablets for depression until one when I was 10 I came home from school to find her 
OD'd on sleeping pills.

Morgan
That must have been awful, I'm sorry

Zara
Nothing to feel sorry for, it feels like it happened to another person now even though I 
miss what could have been there was nothing I could do.

Morgan
So then what?

Zara
I had no other relatives so I was sent to live with my Dad and his new wife and her 
kids, the first time I met them all was when I moved there.  It was also in a different 
part of the country to where I'd been raised so I had to leave my friends behind.  As 
you can imagine I hated my dad for leaving us so I wasn't happy about finding myself 
the youngest of 4 kids all older than.  I never really fitted in either at home or at 
school.

It went downhill from here on in it was more like a travelling down Mount Everest on 
a skateboard Jackass stylee.  With me not fitting in with the 'normal' kids at school I 
found myself causing as much shit as I could.

By the time I was 12 I was drinking and smoking, skipping school, shoplifting, 
vandalism, the cops brought me home more times than I can count.  I kept going like 
this for a very loooonnnnngggg time.  I just didn't care.  I'd run away from home 
twice before I turned 16 but I was picked up both times and brought back.

Morgan
Didn't anybody help you? Or at least try to sort you out?

Zara
No when I turned 16 and school finished my dad told me it would be best if I left and 
found my own place, he gave me some money and I walked away, basically I over 
stayed my welcome in their family unit.  I don't blame him for not wanting me there I 
cause so much trouble but I never saw him again, don't think I ever want to.

I spent the next year glass collecting in bars and dosing around friends couches and 
that's when I met Divas and got a taste drugs.  I started to live for the weekend, I took 
more chemicals than a lab rabbit.

I started to sell pills for him which paid better than my other jobs so that's what I did 
until I got arrested when I was 18 and thrown in jail.  When I got out I used Divas' 
money to change my identity so I could come over to America to start again.  Which 
as you can see didn't go to plan cuz I'm here with a failed marriage behind me 
chasing after a bag of stolen diamonds.  That's the brief history of my world anyway.  
Hope I didn't bore you with it.

Me to, she's a better person than Helen was, Helen Knight is buried somewhere in the 
past.

EXT.  VEGAS STREET – DAY
A car pulls up and out steps KASS and The Protection.  They  walk into a near by 
building.

INT.  MOTEL – NIGHT
ZARA and MORGAN are sat on the bed.  ZARA is smoking and clock watching

Zara
I think it's time we paid that party a visit.   You up for it?

Morgan
You know me always up for a party

Zara
Remember to look mean, I know it's gonna be difficult but we've gotta get hold of 
her and get the diamonds back.  Use the gun if you have to

Morgan
I ain't gonna shoot anybody

Zara
I don't want to either but look like you would at least.  Come on

ZARA stands up

Zara
Let's get this party started.

EXT.  WHAREHOUSE #2 – CAR PARK – NIGHT
The party is in full swing.  The car park is full of rows of cars and covers a large area 
of ground.  MORGAN parks up at the far end.  They get out and begin to walk 
towards the music

INT.  WHAREHOUSE #2 – NIGHT
ZARA and MORGAN are walking around the edge of the dance floor, they are both 
on the look out for DANIELLE.  MORGAN is casually checking the place but ZARA 
is intense like a hunter seeking out her pray.

Zara
(shouting)
Have you seen her?

Morgan
(shouting)
No not yet

Zara
(shouting)
Split up, I'll meet ya by the entrance in 30 minutes.

MORGAN nods, he wanders off into the crowd and ZARA does the same.  We follow 
ZARA

She keeps looking around but the search isn't going well.  She climbs up onto one of 
the speakers so she can get a better look around.  There is already a clubber dancing 
up here and not a lot of room.  He bumps into ZARA.

Zara
(shouting)
Fuck off

She pushes him off the speaker and he lands on the crowd below, he gets crowd 
surfed and ZARA returns to her search.

After a scan of the dance floor she spots DANIELLE in the distance.  DANIELLE is 
oblivious to what's around her and is just having a good time being on Ecstasy and 
dancing.  ZARA climbs down from her look out post and begins to push her way 
through the crowd, the going is slow.

ANGLE ON DANIELLE.  She is still unaware of the approaching ZARA.  We can 
now see ZARA getting closer and closer.  DANIELLE turns around and opens her 
eyes, she spots ZARA with time to get away.

Danielle
Shit

DANIELLE starts to make a break for the entrance/exit.  ZARA sees her move and 
tries to change direction to catch her up.  ZARA is bogged down in the crowd and 
DANIELLE is getting away.  ZARA spots MORGAN

Zara
(shouting)
MORGAN

MORGAN cannot hear her.

Zara
(shouting)
MORGAN


This time her hears her and he spins around.  He sees DANIELLE making her way 
out the club.  ZARA is still caught up in the sea of people, MORGAN starts to make 
his way towards DANIELLE but he befalls the same fate as ZARA and DANIELLE 
is almost at the exit.

ZARA checks around for another route through the crowd, she is totally frustrated and 
can see her future getting away.  ZARA pulls out her gun and fires a shot straight into 
the air.  All the clubbers around her drop to the floor.  She keeps the gun held out in 
front of her and parts the clubber seas.

DANIELLE makes it to the door.  MORGAN follows ZARA'S lead and he holds his 
gun.  They both approach the exit.

EXT.  WHAREHOUSE #2 – CAR PARK – NIGHT
ZARA and MORGAN both make it out at last.  DANIELLE is no longer in sight.

Zara
Can you see her?

Morgan
No, you go that way (he points), I'll go this

They go their separate ways.  Again we stay with ZARA.  She goes for the high 
ground again, she climbs onto the roof of a near by car and scans the car park.  The 
car park contains cars and clubbers but no DANIELLE

Zara
Fuck

MORGAN walks down a row of parked cars, he keeps ducking down at each car he 
comes to trying to check underneath.  He gets half way down the row when out of 
nowhere he gets hit by DANIELLE driving his car.  He bounces on the hood and 
hangs on for his life.

INT.  MORGAN'S CAR – NIGHT
MORGAN is pressed against the windscreen as DANIELLE accelerates down the 
long aisle of cars, she swerves trying to get MORGAN off, clubbers are jumping out 
the way as she nearly takes people out with her mad driving.

EXT.  WHAREHOUSE #2 – CAR PARK - NIGHT
Suddenly she slams on the brakes, the car stops and MORGAN is thrown from the 
car, bounces and rolls across the floor.  When he lands he looks up to see DANIELLE 
reversing back down the aisle.

ZARA runs to his side.

Zara
You ok?

He looks up

Morgan
Uh huh

He then slumps back to the floor.  ZARA starts running after the reversing 
DANIELLE.

ANGLE ON MORGAN'S CAR as DANIELLE makes it do a 360 degrees spin, the 
car doesn't even pause as it carries on it's journey.  It takes a right at the end of the 
aisle.  ZARA makes a run up and onto the roof of more parked cars.

She stops on the roof of one and takes aim.  She fires a shot into the back window of 
MORGAN'S CAR, it smashes and the car swerves but carries on going.

ZARA jumps down from the car she's on and runs after DANIELLE.  She stops and 
takes aim again this time when she fires one of the back tires bursts, the car swerves 
out of control now.  ZARA fires again and takes out the other back tire.  The car is 
slowing down.

MORGAN appears up ahead level with the car.  He grabs the handle and in one swift 
move he opens the door and drags DANIELLE out.   The car keeps on moving 
forwards, it crashes into parked cars.  First it bursts into flames.

Zara
(shouting)
get down

MORGAN drags DANIELLE to a safe distance as the car explodes not far from them.  
DANIELLE breaks free from MORGAN'S grasp.  ZARA makes it to them with her 
gun pulled.

Zara
Stop running or I'll give you the quickest come down in history.

DANIELLE stops.  ZARA approaches her.

Zara
(whispering)
I want my fucking diamonds, you'd better still have them

Clubbers are still looking on astonished by what they've just seen.  MORGAN gets to 
his feet.  He and ZARA exchange a smile, DANIELLE looks pissed off.

INT.  CAR – NIGHT
MORGAN is driving along the dark deserted road, DANIELLE is his passenger and 
ZARA is sat in the back, she sits nursing the gun.

Zara
Right Danielle lets cut to the chase shall we, where's my diamonds?

Danielle
I don't have them

Zara
Where are they then?

Danielle
How's about you fuck off.  Why should I tell you anything?

Zara
Cuz I'm the one with the gun aimed at you so are you gonna tell me where they are or 
is this gonna get nasty?

ZARA sticks the gun into DANIELLE'S face.

Zara
Now I've been thru too much shit in the past week to just let some skank like you 
steal those diamonds from me

Danielle
Steal from you?  I somehow don't think you paid for those diamonds from tips, you're 
the same as me, you saw an opportunity and you took it.

Zara
I'm the same as you?  I don't think so, the guy I stole from deserved it

Danielle
How sweat but please save the Robina Hood story for the believers, your not in this 
for some higher motive, your in it for the money, dress it up any way you want you're 
just the same as me

BANG the gun fires.  The window next to DANIELLE'S head is blown apart, 
DANIELLE is showered with glass and looks a little scared.

Zara
Now in case you're wondering no I didn't miss but the next shot will for you.  Now 
where's my fuckin' stones?

Danielle
(scared)
Ok I've stored them

Zara
Where?

Danielle
With a friend

Zara
Direct him to your friend (she nods towards MORGAN) and I'll let you make it 
through the night without putting a hole in you, does that sound like a deal?

DANIELLE doesn't reply

Zara
I'll take you silence as yes.  Onward please Morgan.

EXT.  HIGHWAY – NIGHT
The car rockets past as they disappear into the night.

EXT.  HOUSE – DAY
It's early morning and the sun has just risen.  The house is run down and in the middle 
of nowhere, a perfect place to stash anything or anybody who doesn't wanna be 
found.  The car pulls up and screeches to a holt.

ZARA, MORGAN and DANIELLE step out the car and walk towards the house.

INT.  HOUSE – FRONT ROOM – DAY
The house is very untidy.  A man named LEO sits on the floor in his tracksuit playing 
on a PLAYSTATION 2.  The curtains are still shut, only shafts of light are allowed 
in, smoke filters thru the lights like an ice machine at a disco.

DANIELLE enters the room first followed by ZARA and MORGAN.

Danielle
Hey Leo

LEO signals a hand for her to wait, he finishes off killing a bad guy then pauses his 
game before he turns around spins himself around.  He stays sat on the floor.

Leo
Hey, who's your friends?

Danielle
They brought me here, they've come for the stones

Leo
Right, they've come to buy them, excellent

Zara
No we've come to collect them, they belong to me

LEO looks at ZARA for a beat before standing up

Leo
They belong to you

(LEO begins to walk around the room)

Leo
I'm sorry erm, I didn't catch your name

Zara
Zara

Leo
Well I'm sorry Zara but I have no cash, no stones policy, I'm sure you understand

Zara
Yeah I understand what your saying but I think you've missed something along the 
way, I'm not asking you to get them and I'm telling you

Leo
Well nobody tells me what to do, not in my house

LEO reaches around the back of his tracksuit and he pulls out a gun, ZARA spots his 
move and she pulls hers.  MORGAN follows ZARA'S lead and he points his gun at 
LEO.  A stand-off ensues.

Zara
You have a choice to make Leo, you can either see how much God likes you by trying 
you luck and see if you can get us both or you can put your gun away, fetch the stones 
and nobody gets hurt.

LEO keeps his grip on the gun.  ZARA adjusts her aim.  MORGAN is sweating.

Zara
Times up, what's it gonna be?

LEO smiles at her.  He lowers his gun.

Zara
Slide that bad boy over here

LEO places the gun onto the floor and slides it over.  ZARA picks it up.

Leo
Are we gonna relax?

ZARA puts her gun away, she nods for MORGAN to do the same.  MORGAN 
breaths a sigh of relief as the tension defuses.

Leo
That's better can I get anybody a drink?

Zara
I ain't here for a social visit.

Leo
Ok ok I'll be back in a minute

Zara
I'll got with you

Leo
(fake hurt)
don't you trust me?

Zara
Don't take offence but no I don't

LEO leads the way, ZARA follows

INT.  HOUSE – HALLWAY – DAY
LEO and ZARA walk to the stairs then ascend them

INT.  HOUSE – LANDING – DAY
LEO and ZARA walk along and take a left into the second door way along

INT.  HOUSE – BEDROOM – DAY
The room is totally empty, not even a carpet

LEO walks to the middle of the room, ZARA stays by the door and watches as LEO 
bends down.  He pulls up a loose floor board and he reaches inside

INT.  HOUSE – BEDROOM – UNDER THE FLOOR BOARDS – DAY
It is pitch black, the only light is coming from the hatch above.

ANGLE ON GUN
LEO'S hand reaches in and his hand rests on the gun, behind the gun we can see the 
diamond sack.

INT.  HOUSE – BEDROOM – DAY
LEO is still pretending to rummage around in the hole.

Zara
Come on, I haven't brought a sleep bag you know

LEO nods before he springs to his feet, gun in hand he spins around to face ZARA.  
She spots the gun and draws hers but LEO shoots first, ZARA returns fire 
instinctively.  The shot misses ZARA but LEO isn't so lucky he gets hit in the 
shoulder.

LEO screams as he is spun around by the shot and he lands heavily on the floor, blood 
pours out onto the floor boards.  He pulls the gun up again to take another shot but 
ZARA is ahead of him, she moves in quickly and kicks the gun out of his hand.  She 
is stood over him with the pointing down.

Zara
That was fucking stupid

MORGAN and DANIELLE run into the room.  DANIELLE screams when she sees 
what's happened.  ZARA spins around and points the gun at her and she freezes on 
the spot.

Zara
(back to LEO)
Are the fucking diamonds in there?

No reply from LEO

Zara
Answer me

She kicks him hard in wound

LEO screams

Leo
Yes

Zara
Morgan get the stones

MORGAN crouches at the hole and pulls out the sack.

Morgan
Got 'em

Zara
Lets get out of here

(to DANIELLE) 
Get him to a hospital

ZARA and MORGAN leave the room.  DANIELLE moves over to LEO and applies 
pressure on the wound.  We here the front door slam shut and a car take off.

INT.  CAR – DAY
ZARA is driving.  MORGAN looks stunned.

Zara
You ok?  Your too quiet

Morgan
I can't believe what just happened, I can't believe you shot that guy

Zara
Me neither but he shot first, if I hadn't had taken him he'd have shot me no question.  
I was lucky, really lucky

Morgan
Is that the first time you've shot somebody?

Zara
It was, I don't make a habit of shooting strangers.

Morgan
How did it feel?

Zara
I dunno, a bit scary but like I said he'd have shot me so I did what I had to, that's all, 
not really had time write a report on the situ

Morgan
Think he'll be ok?

Zara
I hope so, I don't want anybody dieing because of this

Morgan
Think we'll be ok when we get to Vegas?

Zara
How should I know, what's with all the fucking questions?

Morgan
Sorry I was just trying to make conversation

Zara
Well don't just leave me alone for 5 minutes

(under her breath)
No wonder your wife left

Morgan
(hurt)
I heard that

Zara
Shit Morgan I didn't mean that

MORGAN sulks and looks out the window.  ZARA glances across at him

Please don't start sulking Morgan, I didn't mean it

Zara

MORGAN carries on sulking

INT.  CAR – DAY
MORGAN is still sulking, ZARA is still driving.

A roadside diner appears on the horizon

Zara
You hungry?

MORGAN shrugs

Zara
Jesus Morgan I said I'm sorry , I didn't mean it.  Look I'm hungry d'ya wanna get 
some food?

Morgan
Not bothered

Zara
Well I do

She pulls the car into the car park and parks up

Zara
(turning off the engine)
you comin' or ya gonna sit here?

She gets out.  MORGAN sits still thinking about what to do.  He gets out the car a 
beat later.

INT.  DINER – DAY
They are sat in a booth by the window.  ZARA is eating a cheeseburger covered in 
Tomato Ketchup, MORGAN is picking at her fries and staring out the window.  
ZARA swallows the last mouthful of burger and drinks what's left of her diet coke.

Zara
Ok I'm sorry for snapping at you

She moves her head into her eye line

Zara
I was just a bit emotional, ok?

MORGAN half smiles

Morgan
Guess so

Zara
You guess so, that'll do for now.  You were good today by the way.

MORGAN smiles a bit more.  ZARA kisses him

Zara
I really didn't mean it.

Morgan
Ok I'll believe you

Zara
Good, I'm gonna go to the toilet then we'll get back onto the road.

She gets up and walks off, MORGAN watches her.  MORGAN looks back out the 
window, he looks worried.

POV MORGAN as we watch a COP CAR pull into the car park, they drive slowly 
past the stolen car they are driving.

INT.  COP CAR – DAY
2 young cops drive past the car and then pull up.

Cop #1
Time to go to work then

Cop #2
Shit I only wanted some lunch

Cop #1
Come on, lets get them, we can eat later.

Cop #1
(into radio)
Ok station we're going into the diner, send a couple of cars just in case.

Radio
(mans voice)
Ok car 74 people are on their way

Both COPS get out the car.

INT.  DINER – GIRLS TOILETS – DAY
ZARA and MORGAN are stood in the middle of the room

Zara
Shite, I can't fuckin believe it.  Fuckin cops, we've gotta find a way out of here

She runs into the first cubical, it has a small window.  She tries to open it but it won't 
budge.

Zara
Fuck.  Morgan you try

MORGAN tries but has as much luck as ZARA.  ZARA moves into the other two 
cubicles but no other windows

Zara
Fuck, fuck, fuckety fuck.

She wanders into the middle of the room again.  As she wanders into a beam of 
sunlight she looks up and smiles.  The camera follows to what she is looking at, a 
skylight.

Morgan
I'll help you up

MORGAN steadies himself and he cups his hands ready to give her a boost up.   
ZARA takes a short run up and then runs at MORGAN, as she boosts her jump and 
she makes it.  She hangs into the bathroom as she drags herself up until she disappears 
from view.

A beat later ZARA is hanging head first from the roof

Zara
Quick the rucksack

MORGAN passes it up to her

THUD, THUD, THUD goes the door

Cop #1
(off camera)
This is the police, come out of the bathroom, I'm giving you to the count of 5

Zara
Morgan jump up I'll grab you

ZARA hangs with her arms out-stretched.

MORGAN jumps, ZARA grabs but she can't pull him up, he falls back to the floor

rubbish falls out onto the floor as he puts it down

EXT.  DINER – ROOFTOP – DAY
MORGAN is half out/half in.  ZARA is trying to drag him out, we hear the cops enter 
the room below.

Suddenly MORGAN is being pulled back down, ZARA tries to hang on but her grip 
is slipping.

CLOSE ON ZARA'S hands as she looses grip of MORGAN

INT.  DINER – GIRLS BATHROOM – DAY
MORGAN comes crashing down from the roof and he lands heavily on the floor, the 
cops pounce slapping on the cuffs and dragging him to his feet.

Cop #2
You're under arrest

They start to lead him out the bathroom.

INT.  DINER – DAY
All the customers as watching as they bring MORGAN out the bathroom.  As they 
lead him through the diner the door swings out, ZARA enters pointing her gun a COP 
#1.

Zara
Let him go

The cops stop moving

Cop #1
Put the gun down mam, don't want nobody to get hurt

ZARA first a shot past Cop #1's head, the bullet whistles through the Diner and a 
window smashes on its exit.  The customers hit the deck.

Zara
Let him go and nobody will get hurt

Cop #1 and Cop #2 exchange a glance.  Cop #1 nods for MORGAN to be released, 
Cop #2 unlocks the handcuffs

Zara
You made a smart move man, MORGAN get their guns

MORGAN takes the guns and walks to ZARA'S side

Zara
You two hug the floor

The Cops lie down on their fronts.

ZARA gives them a smirk as she and MORGAN make their exit.

EXT.  CAR PARK – DAY
ZARA shoots the front tires of the cop car

Zara
Oh shit I forgot to leave a tip

MORGAN smiles and they climb into the their car.  They leave in a cloud of dust.

INT.  CAR – DAY
ZARA is driving

Zara
We need to get to Vegas fast, this is becoming too fucked up

Morgan
It's about to get worst, the Cavalry are coming

EXT.  HIGHWAY – DAY
In the distance two cop cars are heading towards ZARA and MORGAN.

INT.  CAR – DAY

Zara
Seat belts

They both fasten the seat belts.  ZARA moves the car to the middle of the road and 
puts her foot to the floor

CLOSE ON SPEEDOMETER.  80 goes by and 90 approaches rapidly

EXT.  HIGHWAY – DAY
The cop cars drive side-by-side.  A high speed game of chicken begins

ZARA keeps straight on the white line.  The cars hurtle towards each other, nobody is 
backing out.

A split second before impact the two cops move to avoid collision.  One cop car 
makes it the other doesn't.  ZARA clips his back end, the Cop Car spins out of control 
and does ZARA.

As ZARA does a couple of 360's and then recover the Cop Car flips and it rolls over 
and over again before it comes to a holt.

INT.  CAR – DAY
MORGAN looks behind him

Morgan
I can't fucking believe it, we were lucky

Zara
They coming after us?

No their checking on the one the one who rolled, I just can't fucking believe that, I 
thought we were gonna lose it

ZARA smiles as she puts her foot down again

ZARA and MORGAN are sat on the bed watching TV

I'm gonna give Divas a call soon, if we just get a couple of hours kip we should make 
it to Vegas tomorrow

About time, this journey is getting more fucked up by the minute

ANGLE ON TV.  The news is playing

A police officer died today after being involved in a high speed chase.  The two 
suspects fled from this Roadside Diner whilst resisting arrest for car theft.

In the persuit police officer Jon Jeffery died when his car collided with the fugitives.

The camera moves away from the TV and we've changed location

INT.  COWBOY BAR – NIGHT
The two Cowboys are sat at the bar watching the TV

He continues laughing, the Cowboys at the bar join in.  Cowboy #1 is turning red

Cowboy #1 is starting the engine.

There's only on place they can be heading from there, Vegas and we're gonna go 
there, I'll drive all fuckin night if I have to.  I wanna find them, it's payback time

INT.  MOTEL – NIGHT
MORGAN is pacing about the room, he's in shock from the News Report

Zara
Morgan will you please sit down and calm down?

Morgan
Calm down?  Calm fucking down?  People are dead Zara, we are wanted by the police 
for murder, you told me you didn't kill your husband, I can't believe I fucking trusted 
you, I can't fucking believe I'm here

Zara
I told you the truth, I didn't kill him.  He was alive when I left him

I don't think he died of natural causes, you're wanted for murder.  If you didn't kill

MORGAN continues to pace around the room.  ZARA gets off the bed and moves 
towards him

She stands against him.  She tries to hold him.

A tear rolls down her face as the sound of the car roars into the distance.  She puts her 
hands to her face and she begins to sob.

INT.  CAR – NIGHT
MORGAN is speeding alone the dark road.  He looks lost and confused, tears roll 
down his face.

EXT.  MOTEL – PAY PHONE – NIGHT
ZARA is on the phone to DIVAS

So I should be there tomorrow basically

Well you better tread carefully, you're a celebrity you know, apparently you're 
dangerous

Zara
I know, I saw the news, it's not true you know.

Divas
I didn't think it would be, you'd better get some rest, call me from the Dorchester 
when you get there and try to keep a low profile, I don't want cops crawling around

She hangs up the phone.

INT.  MOTEL – NIGHT
ZARA is sat on edge of the bed, no lights on just the light from her cigarette.  She sits 
facing the door.

EXT.  FIELD – NIGHT
The car is parked and MORGAN is sat on the hood.  He's staring into the darkness.

He sits there for a beat.

Morgan
Fuck it

He gets off the hood and gets back in, the engine fires

INT.  MOTEL ROOM – NIGHT
ZARA is still sat in the dark, still smoking and staring at the door.

The door opens and MORGAN walks back in.  ZARA gives her most sincere smiles.

Zara
I've been worried, where ya been

Morgan
I don't know, somewhere, thinking

Zara
I've been thinking to and if you want to leave then I won't stop you, I'll miss you but 
I won't stop.  I don't know what's gonna happen but I don't want you to get hurt so 
please go if that's what you want.

She stares at him, he smiles back

Zara
Is that what you want?

MORGAN shakes his head

Zara
Then what do you want to do?

Morgan
I wanna get in the car and get to Vegas, get rid of these diamonds then spend 
sometime with you.  I'm sick of motels and travelling.

ZARA smiles and stands up.  She walks over to him, they have a long a embrace.

EXT.  HIGHWAY – DAY
In view is a WELCOME TO LAS VEGAS sign.  The car roars past.

INT.  CAR – DAY
ZARA is driving

Wahoo, Vegas baby! At last we made it

Morgan
That's the easy bit over with

Zara
(laughing)
I really hope this goes smoothly.  I just wanna get in, get the cash, get us away, go 
find somewhere to settle down.

Morgan

Zara

last night.  No more fucking about this time, I wanna do it right, I've finally found a

Zara

MORGAN smiles at her, she returns the smile

EXT.  DORCHESTER HOTEL – DAY
This is a large Hotel/Casino.  It looks very smart.  ZARA stops the car at the front, 
they get out and the parking Valet takes the car keys and moves the car away.

Zara
Fuckin' pinch me, I can't believe he's got us a room here

Morgan
It's better than all those run down Motels

They enter through the revolving doors.

INT.  HOTEL – LOBBY – DAY
The Hotel looks better inside than it does out.  ZARA and MORGAN look around in 
astonishment as they walk past the opening to the Casino area and past the crowds of 
holiday makers and up to the reception desk.

The young female receptionist smiles as they approach.

Receptionist
Welcome to Dorchester, how can I be of service.

Zara
I have a room booked.

Receptionist
What name please?

Zara
Zar…. Helen, Helen Knight

The RECEPTIONIST taps away on the computer keyboard for a second.  She then 
walks into the back and returns carrying a key.

Receptionist
Do you require help with your bags?

Zara
No we're fine

Receptionist
Please enjoy your stay.

ZARA and MORGAN walk towards the elevator.  The RECEPTIONIST watches 
them go.

INT.  HOTEL – HALLWAY – DAY
ANGLE ON ELEVATOR DOORS.  A PING is heard and the doors slide open.  
ZARA and MORGAN walk out and past the camera.

ZARA and MORGAN are stood outside a room

Zara
559, this is us.

She unlocks the door.

INT.  HOTEL – ROOM – DAY
The room is very large.  ZARA and MORGAN walk in looking around as they go.

ZARA walks over to the fridge, she opens it and pulls out two little Vodka bottles.  
MORGAN walks out onto the Balcony.

EXT.  HOTEL – BALCONY – DAY
ZARA hands a bottle of Vodka to MORGAN

Zara
Here's to Vegas and to making it.

They CHINK bottles and drink.  They kiss.

Zara
Shame we can't stay here.

Morgan
I know, it's a lovely place.

Zara
It is but we need to get going, just wanna get rid of those stones, get our cash and get 
out dodge before anything else goes wrong.

MORGAN nods

Zara
I'm gonna call Divas, sort out a meeting.  Enjoy the view.

She walks inside

INT.  HOTEL – ROOM – DAY
ZARA picks up the phone and dials

Zara
Divas, we're here.  When do you wanna meet up?

EXT.  HOTEL – BALCONY – DAY
MORGAN is stood looking out over Vegas when ZARA rejoins him.

Morgan
Sorted?

Zara
Yep.  Meeting him at his place at 2.30, got the directions.

Morgan
What time is it now?

ZARA looks at her watch.

Zara
Bit past 1

ZARA looks out over the edge and lights up a cigarette.  They stay silent for a beat as 
the city buzzes around them.

Morgan
You ok?

Zara
I dunno, just getting a bit jittery I guess.

Morgan
Ok so what are you thinking?

Zara
I wanna stash the diamonds somewhere, too many things have gone wrong for me to 
just trust Divas.  Was thinking about finding a safe place for them, ya know like a 
locker or something like that.  Somewhere public would be best.

MORGAN thinks for a moment.

Morgan
How about the Bus Depot?  They must have somewhere to keep bags safe.

Zara
(nodding)
Sounds like a damn good idea to me, let's stash them there then.

INT.  HOTEL – ROOM – DAY
ZARA and MORGAN begin walking out the room, ZARA stops off and grabs 
another bottle of Vodka from the fridge.  She downs it as she leaves.

INT.  HOTEL – LOBBY – DAY
ANGLE ON RECEPTIONIST.  We can see ZARA and MORGAN walk from the 
Elevator as they leave.

That's them, I'm sure I know them but can't place it.

Receptionist #2
Don't know but they do look familiar.

We see MORGAN disappear thru the Revolving Door.

RECEPTIONIST #2 flicks thru a pile of newspapers that are on the counter.

CLOSE UP ON NEWSPAPER.  There's a picture of ZARA and MORGAN in an 
article about them being wanted by the police.

INT.  BUS DEPOT – LOCKERS – DAY
The Depot is buzzing with people.  ZARA is putting the rucksack into one of the 
lockers.  She shuts the door and takes the key.

Locker 370, sorted.

Morgan
This place public enough for you?

Zara
Yeah it's great, good thinking Batman.  Let's check out Divas' place.

INT.  COWBOY TRUCK – DAY
The two COWBOYS have a been driving all night and look bad for it.  They still have 
the Police Scanner turned on.

Car 54 checkout a report at the Dorchester.  Possible sighting of Zara King and 
Morgan.

INT.  HOTEL – SECURITY ROOM – DAY
Two Cops are stood in front of a bank of TV screens.  They are showing the Hotel 
Cameras.  One of the imagines is being rewound by the Security Guard.  The 
Manager is also in the room.

Cop #1
Freeze it

The image stops.

Cop #2
That's them for sure.

Manager
So what now?

Cop #1
We'll check out their room, see if we can't figure out where they've headed.

INT.  HOTEL – ROOM – DAY
The MANAGER walks in first, followed by the two COPS.

Manager
Well this is it.

Cop #1
Ok, we'll call you if we need anything.

Manager
Very well.  I'll leave you to it.

The MANAGER leaves.  The cops start poking around.

EXT.  APARTMENT BUILDING – DAY
ZARA and MORGAN stand looking up.

Zara
This is the building, I think it's on the top floor.

Morgan
So what now?  Are we going in?

Zara
I am, your not

Morgan
Why?

Zara
Cuz I want you to be my backup, he's only expecting me.

Morgan
So what am I gonna do?  Sit on the pavement asking for quarters?

Zara
No there's coffee shop over there.

She points across the road

Zara
Get a large coffee and sit outside.  If I'm not down in half an hour come on up.  If I 
come down with anybody else just follow us.

Morgan
Ok got it

Zara
You sure?  We need to get this right.

Morgan
Yeah I know

Zara
Ok.  Wish me luck

She kisses him goodbye.  She turns to enter the building

She turns towards the building again as MORGAN moves to cross the road.

INT.  DIVAS' APARTMENT – FIRST ROOM – DAY
This is DIVAS' biggest room and his office.  There's a door leading to the living 
room, one to the bathroom and two SECURITY GUARDS on the Entrance.

DIVAS is sat at his desk looking at the SURVAYLENCE MONITOR in front of him.  
In front of his desk are two leather swivel chairs.

ANGLE ON MONITOR.  ZARA is stood outside.  She knocks on the door.

WIDE ANGLE.

Divas
Let her in.

SECURITY GUARD #1 opens the door.  ZARA begins to enter

As she starts walking SECURITY GUARD #1 blokes her path.

ZARA sighs and does as she's told.  The two SECURITY GUARDS pad her down.  
One of them pulls the gun from the back of her jeans.  He holds it to show DIVAS.

I prefer to keep one with me these days, we are in America after all.

Divas
True but you won't be needing it in here, we're all friends aren't we?

Zara
You can never be to sure.

Divas
Ok boys, keep the gun but let her through.

The SECURITY GUARDS get out of her way and she makes it into the room.  
DIVAS stands up and meets her half way.  He gives her a hug and a kiss.

Divas
God it's been a long time.  You look good

Zara
You to.  America seems to have treated you ok.

Divas
Yeah I've made some money

Zara
I can tell, nice place and cheers for the lovely hotel room

He walks behind his desk and sits down, ZARA sits in front of the desk.

He stands up and moves around to ZARA

The door to the second room opens and KASS walks out.  ZARA watches him not 
realising what's going off.

Zara
The Collector?

Divas
That's right, the Collector.

Zara

You don't understand?  Let me fill you in on the blanks.

KASS stands behind ZARA.  He puts his hands on her shoulders.  She's looking 
edgy.

Divas
Those diamonds you took from your husband, they were mine, they belonged to me.  I 
was gonna sell them and make a lot of cash but you got in the way of that.

ZARA tries to stand up but KASS pushes her back down.  DIVAS sticks his face in 
hers.

Divas
I'll get round to dealing with you for stealing later but for now I just wanna know one 
thing, WHERE ARE MY FUCKING STONES?

Zara
I didn't know they were yours

Divas
I don't care, I just want them back.  Now where are they?

Zara
I don't have them

Divas
Who does?  Your partner in crime?

Zara
Leave him out of this, he had nothing to do with that I just brought him along for the 
ride.

Divas
He's as guilty as you are.  Now I'm gonna ask one more time before I get nasty, 
where are my diamonds?

ZARA keeps quiet for a beat.  KASS grabs her and he drags her to her feet, he pushes 
her backwards hard against the desk, she lands on the her back lying on the desk.  
KASS keeps one hand around her neck as he pulls his gun out and forces it into 
ZARA'S mouth, he keeps pushing it into her mouth almost choking her.

Divas
Now that I have your full attention I'll ask again.  Where are the stones?

ZARA can't speak as KASS still has his gun in her mouth.  She's beginning to change 
colour as she is choked by KASS.

Divas
Kass let her speak please.

KASS pulls the gun out of her mouth, ZARA takes some gulps of air.

Kass
He asked a question

Tears roll from ZARA'S eyes.

Zara
(gasping for air)
Stashed, I can take you to them

DIVAS stares into her eyes.   She looks panicked.

Divas
Ok that'll do, Kass let her up

KASS releases his grip from her throat and he backs away.  ZARA sits up and her 
breathing begins to return to normal, she wipes her eyes.

Divas
Kass will go with you and remember he's armed so no funny shit alright?

Zara
Ok

Divas
Kass you have my full permission to shoot her if she gives you any shit.

KASS gives him a little salute and he puts his gun back into it's holster.

Kass
After you

ZARA gives him a look that could kill as she walks past him towards the SECURITY 
GUARDS.

EXT.  HIGHWAY – DAY
The WELCOME TO LAS VEGAS sign can be seen.  The COWBOYS TRUCK 
whizzes past.

INT.  COWBOYS TRUCK – DAY
The police scanner is still searching.

Cowboy #2
Still nothing.

Cowboy #1
Well we'll just have to do what the police can't and find those two fuckers.

EXT.  COFFEE SHOP – DAY
We are sat with MORGAN.  He watches as ZARA leaves the APARTMENT 
BUILDING closely follow by KASS.  She glances over to him, he watches as they 
get into KASS' car.  As the car starts MORGAN flags down a TAXI.

INT.  TAXI – DAY
MORGAN gets into the back.

Taxi Driver
Where to?

Morgan
(pointing)
Follow that car

Taxi Driver
What?

Morgan
See that car?  Follow it and if it stops we stop, understand?

The TAXI DRIVER nods and begins to drive

EXT.  STREET – DAY
The COWBOYS TRUCK drives down the street and makes a turn off.  We keep on 
the street and up ahead we can see KASS' CAR and MORGAN following.

They drive down several streets until they reach the BUS DEPOT.

EXT.  BUS DEPOT – DAY
Crowds of people are waiting to be picked or walking into the BUS DEPOT.  KASS' 
CAR stops in now parking zone.  KASS gets out first and he walks around the car to 
let ZARA out.

They walk towards the DEPOT'S Entrance.  Soon after the TAXT pulls up.  
MORGAN gets out.

INT.  BUS DEPOT – ENTRANCE – DAY
More people around.  KASS is walking alongside ZARA, he keeps her close and 
never takes his eyes off her.

Kass
Did you really think you'd get away with the diamonds?

Zara
I didn't know they belonged to Divas

Kass
That's funny, you've travelled all that way, got the cops after you just to do what I 
came to do.

(he laughs)
That's fuckin funny, don't you think?

Zara
I've heard funnier jokes

Kass
Well it made me smile.

The LOCKER AREA is up ahead.

Zara
It's in a locker up there

Kass
What number?

INT.  BUS DEPOT – LOCKER AREA – DAY
CLOSE ON the number 370.

WIDE ANGLE.  ZARA is stood with KASS.

Kass
Well don't keep me in suspenders, open it

ZARA rummages in her pocket for the key, she unlocks the locker and pulls out the 
rucksack.

She places this on the floor and opens it.  She produces the diamond sack and hands it 
to KASS.  He holds the sack and opens it.

Kass
(smiling)
There's a nice sight

Morgan
(off camera)
I don't think they belong to you.

ANGLE ON MORGAN.  He has his gun pointed at KASS.  The people about the 
DEPOT have noticed what's happening and they are now running in fear of a gun 
fight happening.

MORGAN, ZARA and KASS remain calm as a rush of people happens around them.

Kass
(calm)
They don't belong to you either now drop the gun and we'll talk.

Morgan
I don't think so, slowly take out your gun or I'll fucking finish you

KASS looks MORGAN in the eyes.  MORGAN stares right back.

INT.  COWBOY CAR – DAY
They are still driving around Vegas.

Police Scanner
Calling all cars.  Reports of suspects ZARA KING, MORGAN ? and unknown male 
at the bus depot.  Extreme caution advised as they are armed, repeat they are armed.

COWBOY #1 slams the car into a screeching U-Turn.

INT.  BUS DEPOT – LOCKER AREA - DAY

MORGAN and KASS are still staring at each other.  KASS breaks the stare first.

Kass
Ok I give up

KASS reaches into his jacket

Morgan
Slowly

KASS slows down he holds his gun with two fingers.  ZARA takes his gun

Morgan
Now the diamonds

He passes the diamonds to ZARA

Morgan
Good now lie on the floor

KASS slowly moves to the floor, he never takes his eyes off MORGAN.

Zara
Come on lets go

MORGAN moves back with ZARA but he keeps eyes on KASS until there's some 
distance between.  They head back to the ENTRANCE.

ZARA stops

Morgan
What's wrong

She grabs him and kisses him.  They smile at each other before they pick up the pace 
from the now empty BUS DEPOT.

They get close to the entrance but as they get there the doors open and two 
COWBOY'S enter.

ZARA and MORGAN skid to a halt as the COWBOYS go for their guns.  Bullets 
begin to fly as MORGAN takes cover behind a pillar, ZARA dives behind a wooden 
bench.  The bullets keep coming but for now there are safe.

Zara
Guess they recognised us

Morgan
What now?

Zara
We get the fuck out of here

She fires two shots into the air and then stands up returning fire rapidly, the 
COWBOYS take cover.

Morgan
Shit

As ZARA starts moving away he follows her lead firing bullets out towards the 
COWBOYS.  They make it further back into the BUS DEPOT.

EXT.  BUS DEPOT – DAY
The COPS are arriving in full force.

INT.  BUS DEPOT – DAY
The COWBOYS are still in hiding when behind them the COPS burst in.

Cops
Police Freeze.

The COWBOYS spin around and instantly start shooting.  Two COPS are tagged and 
they fall to the floor.  The COWBOYS take cover at the places ZARA and MORGAN 
stood.  Another COP falls to the floor.

Cop #1
Fall back

The COPS begin to retreat.  COWBOY #2 moves out from his pillar slightly, he gets 
shot in the shoulder, this spins him around and out into the open, the retreating COPS 
open fire, he falls to the ground in a hail of bullets.

ANGLE ON COWBOY #1.  He looks upset as he friend falls to the floor.

Cowboy #1
Fuckin bastards

He springs up from behind his bench and he fires rapidly at the remaining COPS.  He 
takes another one out and he then makes a break further into the BUS DEPOT.

INT.  BUS DEPOT – LOCKER AREA

ANGLE ON KASS.  He is stood hiding behind the lockers, his gun is ready.  We can 
hear ZARA and MORGAN.

Zara
(off camera)
The shootings stopped, we need to move before the cops get to us

The run past camera, they don't notice KASS.  He follows them silently.

ANGLE ON ZARA AND MORGAN

Morgan
(breathing heavily)
Hang on I'm knackered.

She stops by his side as they have a breather

Zara
We've gotta move, come on

The sound of gun cocking is heard.  ZARA spins around to see KASS.  Shots are fired 
and KASS falls back to the floor.  ZARA is still stood there untouched.  She looks 
over to MORGAN but he is no longer stood next to her.  She looks down.

MORGAN is lying on the floor holding his chest.

Zara
Morgan, are you ok?

He coughs and moves his hand off his chest, blood pours from his gun shot wound.  
ZARA begins crying

Zara
No Morgan, please don't

MORGAN smiles at her

Morgan
(weak)
Go, I think I'll stay here

Zara
No no you'll be ok, we'll get you away

She tries to move him, MORGAN screams in pain when she does.  He can't go 
anywhere.

Zara
I love

ZARA stops as she feels a gun in the back of her head.

Cowboy #1
(off camera)
Drop the gun and stand up

WIDE ANGLE.  The remaining COWBOY is stood over ZARA.

Cowboy #1
I said get up

ZARA still doesn't move.  MORGAN glances down at his gun then back at ZARA.  
She nods slightly.

She throws her gun to one side

Zara
Ok I'll get up

She slowly gets to her feet.

Suddenly she moves to one side, MORGAN takes the shot hitting the COWBOY 
between the eyes, he falls to the floor instantly.

ZARA crouches back down to MORGAN.

Morgan
(faint)
Go before the cops come

Zara
I can't leave you

Morgan
(faint)
Go, I love you Zara King

He gives he one last smile before his breathing stops.  His eyes stare straight ahead.

Zara
Morgan?  Morgan?

She sobs as she hugs his lifeless body.

The sound of the cops approaching can be heard.  ZARA lets MORGAN go.

Zara
I love you.

She gives him one last kiss before running.  The camera stays on MORGAN as 
moments later the COPS appear.

Cop
Find the other one

One of the COPS heads off in the direction of ZARA.

INT.  BUS DEPOT – CORRIDOOR – DAY
ZARA is running at full speed.

Cop
(off camera)
Freeze

ZARA continues running.  A gun fires, ZARA screams and she falls heavily to the 
floor.

ANGLE ON COP

Cop
(into walkie-talkie)
Got her, bringing her back with me

ZARA lies still in the middle of the corridor.  The COP stands over her

Cop
Your under arrest darlin'

ZARA kicks hard his leg, the COP slips to one knee.  ZARA move to her feet and she 
hits him hard in the face with her gun.  The COP falls to the floor out cold.

ZARA checks out the wound on her arm, she's been shot but it's only a flesh wound.  
She tears some material from the bottom of her T-shirt and makes herself a bandage.  
She then handcuffs the COP and searches his pockets.  She takes a his car keys.


ZARA exits through a door marked STAFF ONLY.

EXT.  BUS DEPOT – DAY
Dead bodies are being taken out of the BUS DEPOT and people are being treated 
outside, mostly for shock.

Out of side door away from the crowd ZARA sneaks.  She keeps herself out the way 
and makes it around to back of all the police.

ANGLE ON ZARA
She's hidden behind a wall waiting for two cops to go past.  She looks at the car keys 
in her hand.  She sees an empty cop car with nobody near it.

Zara
(to herself)
time to get lucky

She makes a break to the cop car.  She keeps herself low as she tries the key in the 
lock, to her surprise it opens.  She gets in.

In one swift move she starts the engine and gets the car away.

A few cops see her leave, they jump into their cars and make after her but she is 
already a long way off.

EXT.  STREET – DAY
ZARA'S cop car speeds down here, weaving through the traffic.  Two cop cars follow

INT.  ZARA'S COP CAR – DAY
Traffic lights turn to red up ahead.  ZARA hits the siren.  Cars in front begin to get 
out of her way.

EXT.  STREET – TRAFFIC LIGHT JUNCTION – DAY
ZARA is still moving fast through traffic.  She U-Turns and heads into on coming 
traffic.

The two pursuing cop cars follow her.

Cars are peeping their horns and trying to get out the way, lots of near misses.  Behind 
her the cops are struggling to keep up.  One of them doesn't manage it as he collides 
headlong into an on-coming car.

The other one keeps up pursuit.

He gets along side ZARA.  The start to ram each other whilst avoiding the on-coming 
cars.  ZARA slams into him smashing him into a row of parked cars.

She quickly turns a corner and gets back into a normal flow of traffic

EXT.  APARTMENT BUILDING – DAY
ZARA'S cop car pulls up and she abandons it on side of the road.  She runs into the 
building.

INT.  DIVAS' APARTMENT – DAY
ANGLE ON TV SCREEN.  ZARA is stood outside his door.

Bodyguard #1
Boss she's here

DIVAS is sat behind his desk

Divas
I know but with out Kass, let her in but be careful

The door opens.  ZARA bursts in.  The BODYGUARDS are going their guns.

DIVAS is up moving towards ZARA

Divas
Where are the diamonds?

ZARA throws the sack of diamonds at DIVAS.  His natural instinct is to catch them, 
whilst he's occupied she spins around drawing her gun she shoots the two 
BODYGUARDS and continues spinning back to DIVAS.  He pulls his gun, the 
diamond sack falls to the floor, the stones spill everywhere.

A stand-off between ZARA and DIVAS ensues

Divas
Drop the gun Zara, I've got you locked between the eyes

Zara
No I've come to finish this for Morgan

Divas
Drop the fucking gun Zara I don't wanna kill you

Zara
You won't have chance

She fires, CLICK the gun is empty.  DIVAS smiles at her.  He begins to pull the 
trigger.  ZARA reacts quickly by throwing her gun, it hits him in the face, he fires a 
shot into the air.  ZARA moves forward, she punches him in the face.

A scuffle ensues as ZARA tries to get the gun off him.  Shots are fired around the 
room.  DIVAS begins to win as he begins to move to gun towards her face.  She puts 
all her effort into stopping him but she isn't strong enough.

Cop sirens can be heard from outside in the street and the sound grows as they get 
nearer.

As the gun begins to move towards ZARA'S face she kicks out kicking DIVAS hard 
in the balls.  She follows this up with hard hit to the face.  DIVAS is brought to his 
knees.

ZARA is exhausted and she has to breath for a second, DIVAS grabs her ankle and he 
wipes her feet from under her.  She falls onto her back.

DIVAS gets back to his feet and he stands over her.  He points the gun and takes aim.  
ZARA lies still she knows she's lost the fight.

Divas
Goodbye Helen Knight

Cop
(off camera)
Drop it

DIVAS looks at the cops, then back to ZARA, he cocks the gun and as soon as he 
does they open fire.  He is blown across the desk in hail of bullets.

ZARA stays on the floor, blooded and beaten.  As she tries to get to her feet a cop 
grabs her, she gets the handcuffs slapped onto her and she is lead away.

EXT.  APARTEMENT BUILDING – DAY
A crowd of onlookers are stood watching as ZARA is escorted out the building.  She 
is put in the back of a cop car.

INT.  COP CAR – DAY
The door slams shut and ZARA sits alone looking out the window.  She looks down 
her hands.  One of her hands is clenched into a fist.  She opens, it contains a single 
diamond.

She smiles.

FADE OUT
