In a room three men are sitting at a table and playing poker. The room
consists of a window giving to the street and three doors on each wall.
Man 21 takes the cards, shuffles and starts dealing. Then a Man 23 is
standing up, going to the window and having a look at the street. Man
22 with a bored air says:
Man 22
So are you playing or not.
Man 23
Keep silent, I guess I heard something.
Man 22
Bullshits again. You man when you gonna learn to relax you
are always
hearing something. We should celebrate... everything came
off as we
wanted.
Man 21
If you don't wanna lose more money just say it man, instead
of drawing
our attention to bullshits.
Man 23
Only today I took from you 350 dollars.
Man 22
It was simply a good luck of you.
Man 23 goes and sits at the table.
Man 23
At last relax.
Man 23
OK. I'm anxiety-free.
At this moment one of the rooms is opening with bang and four
policemans raid in.
Policeman 1
Police, everybody freeze.
The tree individuals at the table freeze hands up. Suddenly the door in
front of the police officers opens and an individual with a gun
appears. The individual shouts:
Man
Dirty cops.
The man starts shooting and hits twice police officer 2 in the chest
who falls on the earth. The others immediately aim their guns at and
shot him down. At this moment Individual 22 reaches out his hand for
the gun lying on the table. Police Officer 1 sees him, aims the gun at
and shot him in the shoulder.
Policeman 1
The next who tries something like that will follows that
tripe over there.
The three men remain without moving at the table.
Policeman 1
Is there another over there?
Man 21 shakes his head.
Policeman 1
Search the place.
Police Officer 3 and police officer 4 is heading to the other rooms.
More police officers are coming in and police officer puts his gun
back. Police Officer 2 is getting up heavily. Police Officer 1 comes to
him.
Policeman 1
Are you OK.
Policeman 2
Yes, I am.
Police Officer 2 is going out and sits on the doorstep. Police Officer
1 sits by him.
Policeman 1
Are you really OK.
Police Officer 2 puts down his shirt and unbuttons his waistcoat.
Policeman 2
Yes it happened very quickly and ...
Police Officer 2 lifts his waistcoat.
Policeman 2
Today on leaving my home I nearly would forget it but my
wife reminded
me to put it on. I never thought it would help me one day.
If I didn't put it
on now I would be lying dead as the one who's inside.
Police Officer 2 remains thoughtfully staring at the waistcoat.
At the same time Police Officer 3 pops up at the door.
Policeman 3
Come and have a look what I found here.
Police Officer 1 taps Police Officer 2 on the shoulder and goes with
Police Officer 3. Both of them pass through the room where the three
men were sitting in and enter some room where there is a big bed and a
small table. The spring-bed is on the floor ripped up and on the table
there is a briefcase. Police Officer 4 is trying to open it.
Policeman 3
It was sewn in the spring-bed.
Policeman 4
Ready.
Police Officer 1 and Police Officer 3 are nearing to Police Officer 4.
Police Officer 4 opens the briefcase and the three of them see that
there are three packages of drugs in, a big wad of banknotes and a
little stone statue.
Policeman takes it and says:
Policeman 1
Damn, what's it.
Policeman 4
I didn't either suppose they were art's fans.
Policeman 3
Surely it was picked up somewhere.
Policeman 1
Yes, sure. I'd like the statue to have a check for eventual
historical value.
So, search and the rest of the house and then let's go.
On the following day Police Officer 1 goes to the police station. At
the door he meets Police Officer 19.
Policeman 19
The Captain is asking both of you with Policeman 2.
Policeman 1
What for this time?
Police Officer 1 and Police Officer 2 are going to the Captain's
office. Police Officer 1 knocks at the door. A voice comes from the
room.
Captain
Come in.
Police Officer 1 and Police Officer 2 come in the Captain' office.
There, behind the big desk the Captain is sitting.
Captain
Come on sit down.
Police Officer 1 and Police Officer 2 sit on two chairs in front of the
desk.
Captain
I'd simply like to thank both of you for yesterday. Good
work done.
Policeman 1
Thank you Captain.
Captain
Anyway it was as easy as winking. Meanwhile it reminds just
one more
thing.
Policeman 2
What kind of thing?
Captain
That little statue. I sent it to the museum and there are
checking for its
eventual value. I want the both of you to take up this job.
You are going to
look for Woman 1. The statue is entrusted to her. She is
going to tell you
everything what represents a real interest for you. Clear?
Policeman 1
Completely.
Captain
OK, now clear up.
Police Officer 1 and Police Officer 2 gets up and goes out of the room
and starts going out from the police station.
Policeman 2
I hate this person.
Police Officer 2 starts imitating the Captain.
Policeman 2
Anyway it was easy. So, why he didn't lift his fat ass and
didn't do it by
himself. How did he succeed to become a police officer?
Policeman 1 gives a little smile.
Policeman 2
What's so funny.
Policeman 2
I'm still wondering why do you really pay attention to him.
Do you ever
remember him to say hello?
Policeman 1
Just don't pay any attention.
Police Officer 1 and Police Officer 2 get to the museum. The porter
meets them at the door.
Man 33
I'm sorry but the museum is closed.
Police Officer 2 takes out his badge and says:

Police. We should talk to Woman 1.
Man 33
May I ask you what for are you looking for her?
Policeman 2
No.
Man 33
Gentlemen, please follow me.
Man 33 takes Policeman 1 and Policeman 2 to some room, knocks at,
lightly pushes the door open and says:
Man 33
Two gentlemen from the police like to talk to you.
A voice comes from the office.
Woman 1
Thank you Man 33, invites them to come in.
Man 33 pushes the door wide open and says:
Man 33
Gentlemen, you're welcome.
Policeman 1 and policeman 2 come in the room. There a Woman 1 is
sitting on a swivel chair. In front of her the little statue is on a
big table. Without casting her eyes from it she says:
Woman1
How could I help you?
Policeman 1
I'm policeman 1 and this is policeman 2. We're coming on
the occasion of
the little statue. What could you tell us about it?
Woman 1 casts her eyes from the little statue and has a look at
policeman 1 and policeman 2.
Woman 1
Oh, of course I've been told that you'll come today.
Policeman 2
So is it a valuable one, has it any real value.
Woman 1
Sure. It was hard for me to succeed in recognising it but
the statue is very
valuable.
Woman 1 takes out a book, opens it on a page where the little statue is
drawn on and says:
Woman1
The statue represents the ancient God of light Zivan
respected in the
ancient times but gradually forgotten.
Policeman 2
I've never heard of God with such a name.
Woman 1
To my regret I don't dispose of any other information about
him. Anyway,
the statue is extremely valuable ant its age goes back to
the 2nd century
B.C. In fact where did you find it?
Policeman 1
It was found during a such.
Woman 1
So you founded in a kind of criminal.
Policeman 1
Yes we suppose it was stolen from some museum. Do you have
the idea
which exactly museum was it stolen?
Woman 1
As much as I know no museum is in possession of such a
treasure.
Policeman 1
So you wanna say that…

It hasn't been stolen but found.
Policeman 2
Are you sure?
Woman 1
Until now everything what we know about the statue exists
only in written
and no proves has been found about its existence. It's very
important to
see where it has been found.
Policeman 1
Why?
Woman 1
He statue dates from a very ancient time and it's possible
the where you
found it to have come across to an ancient temple of this
God. If you don't
object I would keep it for a more detailed analysis.
Policeman 1
Sure. So we have to go. Thank you to have spared our time.
Woman 1 writes something on a sheet of paper and gives it to Policeman
1 and says:

This is my telephone # and if you have any news, please
call me.
Policeman 1 takes it and says:
Policeman1
Sure.
Both of them leave the museum and get into a car.
Policeman 2
Did she give you her office number?
Policeman 1
I have no idea, sure. Why?
Policeman 2 looks up at policeman 1.
Policeman 1
Won't you be so kind to stop, will you?
Policeman 2
So you wanna be a bachelor for life? Besides I noticed she
is beautiful.
Policeman 1
Yes.
Policeman 2
You notice too? So there is a hope.
Policeman 1
Stop for God sake.
Policeman 2
OK I change the subject. What do you think about the
statue? How did
these men lay his hand on it?
Policeman 1
Maybe they have kept it for somebody. Those men are simple
commercial
travellers. The last thing I will suppose about them they
to be antiques
dealers.
Policeman 1 and Policeman 2 come in a room of interrogation where Man
23 and a Woman are waiting for them.
Policeman 14
He didn't speak English so I'll be the interpreter.
Everybody is sitting at the table.
Policeman 1 takes from his pocket a photograph of the statue, gives it
to the Man 23 and says:

Where do you have it from?
The translator translates . Man 23 answers:
Interpreter
He says he took it from an island almost an year ago and it
looked to him
interesting.
Policeman 2
So he has a good taste. I'll bring a map.
Policeman 2 goes out of the room and a little after he comes back.
Policeman 1 takes the map, opens it on the table and says:
Policeman1
Where exactly?
The interpreter translates. Man 23 examines the map and points with his
finger at a little island situated in the South China Sea.
Policeman 1
Are you sure?
The interpreter translates. Man 23 answers.
Interpreter
Yes, he is sure.
Policeman 2
Where exactly on the island?
The interpreter translates. Man 23 answers.
Interpreter
He took it from a kind of a cave that looked like a temple.
Policeman 1
Are there any other similar things?
The interpreter translates. Man 23 answers.
Interpreter
He says that in this temple there is the same statue but
with as high as a
man.
Policeman 2
Did he see any similar things on the island except the
statue?
The interpreter translates. Man 23 answers.
Interpreter
No.
Policeman 2
That was it. Take him out.
Policeman 1 and Policeman 2 go out of the room and sit at their desk.
Policeman 1
So now what shall we do?
Policeman 2
Call the museum and if they are so interested in they
should see to it.
Policeman 1 lifts the receiver, takes out the sheet of paper that the
Woman 1 has given to him and phones.
Woman 1 telephone rings. Woman 1 lifts the receiver:
Woman 1
Hello.
Policeman 1
Policeman 1 is calling we visited you this morning do you
remember?
Woman 1
Yes of course I do. Did you find something?
Policeman 1
The man we found it in he found it on an island (he says a
name of the
island) situated in the South China Sea almost an year ago
in a kind of a
temple or a cave.
Woman 1
Did he find anything else?
Policeman 1
Only a big statue in the temple.
Woman 1
Is it a big statue?
Policeman 1
Yes was like the statue you have it at the moment but with
a human being
size.
Woman 1
You really helped me a lot, thank you.
Woman 1 puts the receiver down and gets out on the room. Knocks at some
door and enters. There, behind a huge desk the boss is sitting. The
boss is speaking on the phone and when he sees the Woman 1 he signs to
wait for a little and after a while he put the receiver down.
Woman 1
I have to leave for island (she pronounces the name of the
island).
Boss 1
Why and where is that island?
Woman 1
Because of the little statue that has been brought from the
police. It's an
authentic one. It has been found on that island and the man
who found it
claims that there is the same one but with a
human being size.
Boss 1
Yes but how could you be so sure that the one on the island
is authentic. It
could be constructed by these men who live there.
Woman 1
It comes into my head only one idea.
Boss 1 remains thoughtfully.
Woman 1
Come on it's worth trying. Imagine if it's an authentic
one.
Boss 1
OK but if it's an authentic only I hardly believe that
they'll give you like
that. Surely it represents a lot for them.
Woman 1
We'll simply replace it on the island.
Boss 1
You will replace it?
Woman 1
Here we have an old copy of it. I'm sure I still have it.
Boss 1
But if it comes to be bigger or smaller that the one on the
island.
Woman 1
It simply means that the one on the island isn't the
authentic one.
Boss 1
I don't really know. Will you succeed?
Woman 1

Boss 1
OK I'll give you a team to leave tomorrow morning. Will you
do with the
statue for tomorrow?
Woman 1
There is no problem for tomorrow.
Boss 1
OK but now leave me alone.
Woman 1 goes out of the room. The boss telephones.
Boss 1
Hello D I'm Boss listen to me. Are you interested
in a kind of a business?
In the morning woman 1 leaves her house, calls a taxi, gets into it and
says:

To the harbour please.
The taxi takes her to and she gets down. There eight other persons are
waiting for her. When she is nearing them Man 3 says:
Man 3
You should be woman 1.
Woman 1
Yes, and you are?
Man 3
Man 3
Man 3 points to Man 1, Man 2 and Woman 2.
Man 3
These are Man 1, Man2 and Woman 2.
Man 3 points to Man 4 and Woman 3.
Man 3
These are Man 4 and Woman 3
Man 3 points to Man 7, Man 8, Man 5 and Man 6.
Man 3
And these are Man 7, man8, Man5, and Man 6.
Woman 1

Man 5
The ship is ready to put out to sea.
Everybody makes for the ship and gets on the deck. The captain meets
them on the deck.
Captain
Everyone is on board?
Man 2
Yes.
Captain
Put out to sea.
The ship puts out to sea.
On the ship everybody is in one cabin.
Man opens a map on the table where the island is marked in. Man 1
points the island.
Man 1
We're going to that island in the South China Sea and
there should be that
what we're looking for. We'll stop for fuel where we'll
take with us our
guide.
Man 2
What for do we need a guide?
Man 1
He was before on that island and he knows the local people.
He could be
in great help for us.
At nightfall the ship moors and everybody get on the coast.
Man 3
How long it will take?
Captain
About 2 hours.
Man 1
I'm going to look for our man.
Man 1 goes into a saloon, sits by a man in front of who there is a half
empty glass of beer.
Man 1
Are you Guide?
Guide
Yes I'm. Who is interested in?
Man1
We're the people who you should take to the island.
Guide
Oh, yes the scientists. Why do you need to go there.
Man 1
We're interested in some local sight.
Guide
Local sight you said? On this island there is no such
sight.
Man 1
Where do you from know these people?
Guide
I go there from time to time and I bring to them various
things that they
need.
He lifts up his glass empties it of beer and says:
Guide
Let's go.
Both of them get to the ship. When they are on the board the captain
says:
Capitan
Is this the new passenger?
Man 1
Yes. How much time it rests?
Captain
We're almost ready.
After a while the ship is putting out to sea.
Man 1 and Guide meet the others.
Man 1
This man is our leader.
Guide
I realised that you want to take some statue from the
island that's in some
cave.
Man 2
Exactly.
Guide sits at the table, takes a sheet of paper and draws a sketch plan
of the island, point at and says:
Guide
Here are the only caves I know. They are near the coast.
Guide point again.
Guide
If we stop here some of us with a boat should sail from the
ship to this
place here where he will be waiting for us. We'll load
the statue and he'll
be back to the ship. So no one will notice us.
Man 3
What's the distance between the cave and the coast?
Guide
About 100 meters maybe less.
Man 1
It should be done.
Man 7
What should you say about the way leading to that place?
Guide
It should be a path through the forest.
Man 7
If there is such or we can't find it?
Man 2
If it doesn't come tomorrow we'll invent something else.
Guide
Better go to bed – tomorrow we have a lot to do.
In the morning the ship arrives and everyone gets on two boats board
except with Man 2 who is in a separate boat with the imitation and goes
to the place where the cave is. The rest of them arrive to the coast
and get on the coast. Guide leads the men.
Guide
From here to the village there is a quarter of a mile.
Everyone sets out.
When they reach the village a man is nearing to them who is asking
Guide.
Chieftain
What does it bring you here? Who are these men?
Guide
These are friends of mine. We passed nearby and I told them
about the
statue you have and they wanted very much to see it.
Chieftain
Then come with me.
Vo leads them through the village and they get to some cave situated in
the forest.
Chieftain
Here inside is our God. Our ancestors put it here as a
guardian form the
evil.
Man 3
Guardian from the evil?
Chieftain
Yes of course.
The chieftain points the cave entrance where a back of a huge statue
could be seen in the dark.
Chieftain
At nights he stands outside the gate of the evil and
protects us.
Man 1 points at the cave entrance and says:
Man 1
So the evil is there?
Chieftain
Yes but since the name's God has been there the
evil is locked in that cave.
Man 1
And how long has he been there?
Chieftain
No one knows even the eldest people in the village have
been brought up
with the legends of the evil and with that statue.
Man 2
It sounds promising.
Man 1
What kind of legends?
Chieftain
They are various. One of it says that the cave is a
lair of the Darkness that
each night goes out and starts its sinister hunt of
human beings. It couldn't
b? stopped by any means. The only thing he was
afraid was the light. During
the daylights the humans were safe but when the
nights fall there were no
places where to go to or where to hide in. Each
night the Darkness gulped
down the humans.
Man 3
It gulped down?
Chieftain
Coming from the darkness, he used to catch you. He blanked
you until you
don't disappear in it.
Man 1
Could we near and have a look at it?
Chieftain
Sure but don't go inside the cave there he can't protect
you.
Man 1
Sure we'll take care of.
The chieftain is going out and Man 1, Man 3, Man 4, Man 5, Man 6, Man
7, Man 8 are going into the cave catch hold of the statue and lift it.
Man 1
Let's now be attentive.
Man 1, Man 3, Man 4, Man 5, Man 6, Man 7, Man 8 are taking it from the
cave. Every one is looking at the forest where from Man 2 has to come
but Man 2 is seen nowhere.
Man 1
Where is he now?
Man 7
He hasn't found the pathway. What shall we do?
Man 3
We'll be waiting for him.
After a while Man 2 is going out from the forest carrying the
imitation. Man 1 says to Woman 1, Woman 2 and Woman 3:
Man 1
Stay here.
Man 1, Man 3, Man 4, Man 5, Man 6, Man 7, Man 8 are carrying the statue
to the forest. Man 2 and Guide takes the imitation and put it on the
place of the real statue.
Guide
Perfect. It looks like the real one.
After a while Man 1, Man 3, Man 4, Man 5, Man 6, Man 7, Man 8 are back.
Man 1 looks at the imitation.
Man 1
It looks well and it couldn't be found any difference.
Man 2
I'm leaving.
Man 2 is heading to the boat.
Woman 1
Let's leave, too.
Everybody is coming back to the village. There chieftain meets them.
Chieftain
Are all of you leaving?
Guide
Yes, we regret to say it but can't stay longer.
Chieftain
But why such a rush?
Guide
You know we have always to be in a hurry for somewhere.
Chieftain
Stay on until tomorrow. Our island is beautiful and there
are a lot to see.
Woman 1
Thank you but we can't. Maybe some other time.
Chieftain
OK.
Everybody is leaving, boarding and sailing.
Man 1
Honestly to say but I didn't believe that everything would
be so easy.
Man 5
Me either.
Three days later Woman 1 is in her office and somebody is knocking at
the door.
Woman 1
Come in.
The door opens and a man with a small bag is coming in.
Boss 2
Hello, I'm Boss 2 and I'm interested in the statue you have
found.
Woman 1
Yes and what about it?
Boss 2
I've been engaged in for a long time with these cultures
and your
discovery represents a real interest for me.
Boss 2 takes out from his bag a draft of the statue and gives it to
Woman 1.
Boss 2
You have discovered the ancient God of the light Zeniv.
Woman 1
Yes, I know.
Boss 2
Yes but where are the other two?
Woman 1
I can't really understand you.
Boss 2 takes out from his bag another two draft and gives them to the
Woman 1.
Boss 2
These are the other two Gods honoured by the people at that
time.
Boss 2 points at the first and says:
Boss2
This is the God of Darkness. Maybe you've already heard
from the native
people about it.
Woman 1
Why should they need a God to fear from.
Boss 2
It has always existed for them a battle between the good
and the evil.
Particularly in this case it represented the face of the
day and the one of
the night. For them the God of the light represents their
defender and
guardian while the God of the darkness represents exactly
the opposite.
Woman 1
And what about the third one?
Boss 2
About him we know almost nothing.
Woman 1
Why do they fear so much from the darkness?
Boss 2
It's the fear from the unknown that each night encircles
them. During the
night one can't see the objects around, one can't realise
what's near you
and around you.
Boss 2
I guess there are on the island another two statues
representing these Gods.
Woman 1
What do you really mean?
Boss 2
I'll tell you directly. I'd like you and the others who
were there to leave
tomorrow for the island, to find and bring them here."
Woman 1
But me ...
Boss 2
I've already discussed the matter with all of them and
there is no one to
have declined the proposal. You won't have any problems
with your boss
to leave either. Imagine what will be to possess the other
two statues. So
what could you say.
Woman 1
You mean tomorrow?
Boss 2
Yes I realise that it seems to you a little bit hasty and
that I've told you so
late but...
Woman 1
OK I accept.
Boss 2
Wonderful you leave tomorrow morning. Both the people and
the itinerary
will be they same. The ship will leave all of you on Monday
and will pick
you back on Saturday so you'll have four days on your
disposal.
Woman 1
So we'll see on Saturday.
In the morning the Woman 1 arrives at the harbour where the same team
is waiting for her. The Woman 1 nears them and says:
Woman 1
So again I'm coming with delay?
Man 2
It seems so. Let's go.
Man 1 is going to the Woman 1 and says:
Man 1
Don't pay to him any attention. He's always in such a mood
in the
morning.
Everybody is heading to the ship and when they are boarding again the
captain says:
Capitan
Are all of you ready for another cruise?
Man 1
Yes.
The ship is sailing from the harbour and late in the afternoon is
mooring
Captain
We've arrived. Come on disembark. I'll take you on
Saturday.
Everybody is disembarking and heading to the village. When they get to
it is like a desert and no one could be seen around. Everybody is
looking around but there is no sign of life.
Man 4
I can see no one. What's happening. Why everybody has
disappeared?
The chieftain is coming out of some house. Guide is nearing him and
says:
Guide
What's happened, why there is no one around?
Chieftain
Our God has abandoned us. He's protecting us no more from
the Darkness
Guide
What are you talking about?
Chieftain
After your friends have gone the same night started
disappearing people.
No one dares to be here at night. No one feels safe during
the night here.
Chieftain is nearing Guide and says:
Chieftain
The Darkness has come back.
Guide
Come on you know very well that such a God doesn't really
exist. It's just
a legend.
Chieftain
Don't talk like that. He's fearful.
Guide
So why are you here?
Chieftain
I had to stay for asking our God once again for help but he
hasn't listen to
my supplications.
Guide
So are you simply running away.
Chieftain
No, I won't run away, this is my home. I'll bring here some
people to help
me for being able to here as before. Come with me you
don't have to stay
here.
Guide
Don't worry about us we'll manage.
Chieftain
Believe me it's dangerous to stay here.
Guide
We'll manage.
Chieftain
Believe me only this time.
Guide
You'll better go.
Chieftain bows his head and are heading to the coast and the rest
continue their way ahead.
Guide
I've never seen him so scared.
Man 4
Maybe it would be better to pay attention to him.
Man 2
You won't give way to this nonsense. We have only four days
and the
island isn't small.
Man 4
No but it could be some beast.
Man 2 takes from his pocket a gun and says:
Man 2
Is that enough for being anxiety-free
Man 1
Man 2, Man 3 and I will be in that house.
Man 1 is heading to the house.
In the evening everyone is outside around the fire.
Man 3
Up to me tomorrow we should divide into three different
groups and that
will be the best .
Man 1
I'm wondering where they could be.
Woman 3
If they really exist.
Woman 1
Up to me they should be somewhere inside the island.
Man 2
If they really exist, it isn't possible the native people
not to see them. All
in all they live here.
Man 5
Unless they have never gone to them.
Man 4
What do you mean?
Woman 2
Inside the cave. The old man said that no one was there.
Where else could
be a God symbolising the darkness.
Man 5
Namely.
Man 3
The idea is good.
Man 1
We better go to bed. Tomorrow we have a lot to do.
All of them except Man 4 get up and disappear. Man 4 is sitting in
front of the fire, raking up with a stick the fire and staring at the
stars. Suddenly some growling is heard from the side. Man 4 is turning
with scare. The growling repeats. Man 4 is retreating behind and says:
Man 4
Who's there.
The growling repeats again but this time it comes from his right side.
Man 4 grasps one of the burning wood stick and retreats back. From the
dark Woman 2 is coming out who's smiling and says:
Woman 2
Did you take it for real.
Man 4 heaves a deep sigh and says:
Man 4
It's not funny at all. I thought that...
Woman 2
What? A kind of a monster.
Woman 2 begins laughing energetically. At this moment Man4 sees how
behind she passes a huge black silhouette. Man 4 remains stiff. When
the woman sees his face she stops laughing and says:
Woman 2
What?
At the next moment something grasps Woman 2, pull her harshly and she
disappears into the dark. Man 4 drops the wooden stick and rush towards
the house shouting where Man 1, Man 2 and Man 3 are. When Man 4 gets to
the house the door opens and Man 3 appears.
Man 3
What's wrong?
Man 4 pushes his aside and comes in. There Man 1 takes him by the arm
and asks:

What's wrong?
Man 4
He's killed her.
Man 2 takes out his gun, grasps some electric torch and says:
Man 2
I'm going to see what happened.
Man 4
Don't go out.
Man 2
Shut up.
Man 2 opens the door and goes out. Man 1, Man 3 and Man 4 are at the
window giving to the fire and see how the light coming from the
electric torch is moving away and suddenly stops. Some quiet strange
noise is heard and the three on them see how the light coming from the
torch drops on and remains still on the land.
Man4
What's happening?
Man 1
I don't know.
The three men are staring at the light. A second later Man 1 says:
Man 1
I'm going out, too.
Man 4
Are you crazy? Don't you see what has happened. He had a
gun.
Man 1
What do you mean by saying that he had a gun?
Man 4
I'm sorry.
Man 3
He's right. Let's first wait for a while.
Man 1
OK.
The three of them go to the window again. The light of the torch is
still where it was. After a while the door opens and Woman 1 comes in.
Woman 1
Where's Woman 2, did anyone notice her?
Man 1
Shut the door.
Woman 1 shuts the door.
Man 1
Where are the others?
Woman 1
In the house. Why?
Man 1
Stay here and don't go out. There's something out. Where is
Man 5 and

Something has happened with Woman 2 and Man 2 went out to

her but he isn't still back.

Man 4 is moving away from the window and takes a sit.

I was sitting outside and she was 7, 8 metres away from me.

has grasped her from behind and she disappeared in the
dark.

I don't know. It happened very quickly. Something huge got
near to her. I
couldn't see it. It was in the dark.
Man 1 and Woman 3 are coming in the room.

No. It's still the same.
Man 1 goes to the window and are staring at the light. After a while
some noise is coming from aside. Everybody gets silent.
Man 1
Are you both Man 2, Woman 3?
The noise starts getting closer.
Man 1
It's not funny at all. You've already scared us enough.
The noise starts going around the house. Man 4 has a look through the
other window and say whispering:
Man4
Here he is.
Everyone turns his head and has a look through the window.
Man 1
I can't see anything.
Man 3
Me either.
In the dark something is moving a bit. Suddenly the same thing darts
aside and silence sets in again. After a while the door starts
squeaking under the pressure of something outside. The squeak is
getting louder. Man 1 takes a gas lamp and slowly is heading to the
door.
Man 3
Don't go there.
Man 1
Man 2?
When Man 1 reaches the door the squeak is getting weak and after a
while disappears. Man 1 catches the door handle and opens it. Outside
could' be seen nothing. Man 1 extends his hand with the lamp forward
but he couldn't see anything.
On the following day Man 1 and Man 3 go to the spot where the torch is.
There in the mud lies only the torch and two metres away is laying Man
2 gun.
Man 1
Have a look. His steps finish here and they simply
disappear.
Man 3
Let's go to the forest and look for him.
Man 1
OK.
Man 4 reaches joins them and says:

I hardly believe there is any sense.
Man 1 quickly turns, grasps Man 4 and says:
Man 1
Just another word and ...
Man 1 leaves hold of him and both with Man 3 are heading to the forest.
Woman 1 is getting near to Man 4.
Woman 1
Where are they going to?
Man 4
In the forest to look for them.
Man 1 and Man 3 get to the cave and they both stop in front of its
entrance.
Man 3
Why don't we have a look inside.
Man 1
No. Theres something I don't like.
Man 3
Come on we have already looked at everything.
Man 3 is going to the entrance and when he reaches the statue in the
cave a noise is heard. Man 1 steps forward and says:

What was it?
Man 3
I don't know.
Man 3 is getting deeper inside and shouts:
Man 3
Man 2, Woman 2 are you here?
At this moment a noise is heard to get closer and is growing louder.
Man 1
Come out.
Man 3 starts stepping back when the noise is getting closer Man 3
quickly jerks back and goes out of the cave.
Man 1
Take out.
Man 3 is stepping back a little. Man 1 takes out his gun from the
pocket, aims it at the cave and slowly walks forward. When he reaches
the entrance Man 1 stops.
Man 3
Do you see anything?
Man 1
No.
Man 1
Let's go back.
Man 3
And what about the thing inside? It's sure it was our
monster from
yesterday.
Man 1
We couldn't get what's really it.
The both of them are coming back.When they get to the village man 6
meets them:

Is it true what they say?
Man 3
Yes. man 2 and Woman 2 have disappeared and we don't know
what
happened to them.
Man 5 is coming behind them and says:

Look who's coming.
Vo with 15 other men are coming from the distance. They reach Man 1,
Man 3, Man 6 and Man 4.
Chieftain
I brought some help.
The shaman said something and the other 14 men with him continue their
way ahead.
Chieftain
The help I went for. This man is our shaman and the others
are his
warriors. Tonight they will destroy the Darkness.
At night the fifteen men are around a huge fire with a shape of the
statue. The group and their leader are at the side and observe
everything. Seven warriors step forward with torches in hand, light
them, set at a distance and by each warrior comes another one with a
bow. The shaman says something and the 7 couples disperse in the
forest.
Man 3
Won't it be better to come home.
Chieftain
No, this thing fears the light and he doesn't dare to come
closer to us. Just
keep around the fire. Now it is in pursuit.
Man 3
What exactly do they pursue?
Chieftain
The Darkness.
Man 3
How I didn't think of before. And what exactly do they
intend to do?
Chieftain
They are looking for him and when some of them find him
he'll calll the
others and together they'll kill him.
Man 4
It's enough. You live here and you should know what's that
- a wolf or
something like that. You should tell us instead of telling
all these stories.
Chieftain
If you don't believe to me wait for the hunt to be over.
Hunter 9 and Hunter 10 are walking together. In the distance Hunter 9
notice some kind of movement and shoots immediately a burning arrow and
the arrow sticks into some tree. Hunter 9 steps forward and stares at
the darkness but sees nothing. Suddenly Hunter 9 notices on the light
background of the burning arrow how from the distance something is
nearing, Hunter 9 takes out a new arrow and goes to Hunter 10 to light
it but the Darkness reaches and absorbs him. Hunter 10 breaks into a
run but the Darkness reaches and absorbs him, too.
Hunter 11 and Hunter 12 are walking quietly. Hunter 11 is around 5
metre ahead of Hunter 12. Suddenly the Darkness grasps Hunter 11 from
the side and disappears with him into the dark. Hunter 12 starts
running back. After a while Hunter 12 stops running breathlessly and
turns. Around everything seems quiet. Hunter 12 starts walking slowly
toward the spot where he started running from. After a while he stops
walking and stares ahead. At this moment the Darkness pops up almost
from the soil by his right side. Hunter 12 curdles with eyes wide open.
Hunter 1 and Hunter 2 are walking slowly through the forest. In front
of Hunter 1 who is walking ahead a kind of a noise is heard. The both
of them stop and Hunter 1 takes out an arrow, lights it from the
Hunter's 2 torch and slowly is walking ahead when at a distance of 6
metres about from Hunter 2 from behind a noise is heard. Hunter 1 turns
immediately and sees only the Hunter 2's torch laying on the ground.
Hunter 1 starts stepping back until his back doesn't touch a tree. His
arrow dies out and he starts running away. Passing by Hunter 3 at a
distance of about 10 metres, Hunter 3 hears noise of steps lights an
arrow, shoots and kills him. When he gets closer and sees Hunter 1,
Hunter 3 stops for a while and then starts walking with Hunter 4 to the
spot where Hunter 1 has come from. When Hunter 3 and Hunter 4 get to
the spot they see the torch on the ground. Hunter 3 takes it and
shouts. The others start walking to them.
Hunter 5 and Hunter 6 are walking to the spot. Hunter 6 who's walking
far enough behind hears some sound. As he's walking he turns back but
sees nothing behind. Hunter 6 turns forward and at this moment he sees
the huge figure of the Darkness who's some centimeter away from him.
The Darkness grasps Hunter 6 and disappears with him in the dark.
Hunter 5 who's walking quiet ahead doesn't notice what has happened and
continue his way.
Hunter 7 and Hunter 8 are running to the spot but suddenly Hunter 8's
steps noise disappear As Hunter 8 is running he turns back and when he
doesn't see Hunter 8 he starts running faster. Hunter 7 reaches Hunter
3, Hunter 4 and Hunter 5. Each one of Hunter 3, Hunter 5 and Hunter 7
lights an arrow from Hunter 4's torch and in a strait line go ahead.
Hunter 3 who's walking on the left side sees how something budges at
the side, turns, shoots and the arrow sticks in something at a distance
of about 15 metres who screams horribly and runs away. The four of them
run after following the burning arrow sticked in him. Suddenly the
light goes off and the four men stop and turn their backs one to
another. Something in front of them budges they shoot but nothing
happens. The three of them take out new arrows and are heading to
Hunter 4 put fire on them. At this moment the Darkness fells down,
grasps Hunter 3 and disappears in the dark. Hunter 5 and Hunter 7 jump
back and shoot their arrows but it happens nothing. Hunter 5 and Hunter
7 light an arrow start running forward and a little after they turn
back and see that Hunter 4 has disappeared. The both of them turn to
two opposite sides, back to back and start turning around. Suddenly
Hunter 5 staggers back because of lack of fulcrum, fells on the ground
and notice that he's alone and at this moment something huge fells over
him and engulfs him.
At the next moment Hunter 13 and Hunter 14 appear. Hunter 14 sets off
for the Dakness with a torch in his hand. The Darkness disappears.
After a while some noise is heard Hunter 14 is turning back and sees
that he's alone then he drops the torch and runs away. A moment latter
he stops and feels a kond of presence behind him. The Darkness graps
and envelops him. Everything happens in quite a silence.
The Shaman who's near the fire with back toward the forest says
something and then takes a burning stick from the fire sets off for the
forest.
Chieftain
They didn't succeed. Every one is dead. He goes to fight
with him alone.
Man4
Just stop him. He won't do anything.
Chieftain
No, it's his duty.
The Shaman disappears into the forest and only the light from the
burning stick is seen. After the Shaman's coming into the forest a
noise is heard from something that is passing by and then the light
goes off.
Man 3
What are we gonna do now. We have two more nights to spend
until the
ship arrives.
From the forest comes the same scream but this time much louder.
Chieftain
Get inside.
Man 5
Didn't you tell that...
Vo is stepping back and says:
Chieftain
Get quick into the houses. It comes.
All of them rush to the houses except Man 4 who starts running back.
Man 7, Man 5, Man 6, Woman 1 and chieftain get into one house. Man 8,
Man 1, Man3 , Woman 3 and the guide get into the other house. From the
forest is heard that something huge goes round the fire and is heading
to Man 4. Man 1 stands by a window, has a look through it but there's
no trace from Man 4. After a while something hits the house where Man
1, Man 3, Man8, Woman 3 and guide are. The same scream is heard. After
a while the Darkness strikes the house where Man 5, Man 6, Man 7, Woman
1 and chieftain are.
Chieftain takes one of two lamps and says:
Chieftain
Gather in the centre of the room. Don't stay by the
windows. Take the
other lamp and don't let it die out.
Woman 1 takes the lamp and all of them gather in the centre of the
room. Another strike contuses the house.
Man 5
It won't stop until he doesn't get in.
Chietain
Until there is a light it can't get in.
The house contuses once more and then everything gets quite.
In the morning Man 3 comes out of house, goes to Man 1 who's by the
fire still burning
Man 3
Have you got any idea what to do?
Man 1 shakes his head. Man 3 sit by him and fixes his eyes on the
ground desperately. Then Man 3 lifts his head and says:
Man 3
That night they should have come with a kind of a boat or
something like
that.
Man 1
Nothing like that. Until now I was on the coast. Scullers
have disappeared.
Man 3
I wonder who would stay? No way to get out from here. We'll
die here.
Man 1
The situation isn't do bad. Two nights passed and we have
another two to
spend her. We could manage.
Man 3
We'll manage? How will manage. We're just sitting like that
and we're
simply waiting to be over. There's no way to get out.
Man 1
Where's chieftain?
Man 3
He went to the statue for asking some help from it. Man,
we're dead.
Man 3 gets up and goes to the house.
In the afternoon all of them have gathered outside.
Man 6
Let's go inside the island. Maybe there he won't find us.
Chieftain
It won't help. He'll find us wherever we go.
Man 6
What shall we do then? We couldn't simply stay hoping that
the night
won't fall down.
Man 1 who's sitting gets up and said:

I'm going put an end to everything.
Man 5
And how exactly?
Man 1 takes out his gun and said:

I'll come in the cave and I'll shoot him.
Man 3
I'm coming with you.
Chieftain
We could do nothing to him.
Woman 1
Don't do that. It's very dangerous.
Man 1
I won't come inside very deep. It's only a beast.
Man 1 and Man 3 are going to the cave. Man 3 has a torch in his hand.
When the both of them get to the cave entrance Man 1 says:

Let's start.
Man 1 takes out his gun and Man 3 lights the torch. Man 1 starts
getting inside. Man 3 is just behind him. When the both of them are
almost 20 metre inside the same noise is heard from there. The noise is
coming closer and starts getting closer. The both of them are stepping
back a little. Man 3 stands by Man 1 and stretches the arm that holds
the torch. The both of them see in the deep a huge silhouette standing
still. Man 3 fires with the gun three times but the silhouette doesn't
move even a bit. After a while he statrs toward them. Man 1 shoots
another two times but it happens nothing. The figure continues to get
closer to them. The both of them start quickly coming back while they
don't get out of the cave.
Man 1
Damn. I fired but nothing has happened.
The both get back to the village. When they get closer to the others
Man 1 nods.
Man 3
We have to think about something else.
Man 6
Let's hide in the cave.
Man 5
Are you nuts?
Man 1
We'll wait for his coming out and then we'll hide in for
the night. There
on one will find us out.
Man 3
It may have a result.
Woman 3
Come on men you don't really thing is possible

I agree, too. There's a risk but it's much better than to
stay here.

I'm coming, too. Here's much more dangerous. He knows where
we are.

In the evening all of them go closer to the cave and hide nearby. Every
one stares at cave entrance.
Man 3
And if he comes out?

He'll come out.
Man 3
He'll come out when it gets dark.
Man 1
Silence.
At the cave entrance appears one huge figure. Every one keeps silent.
After a while the figure is darting out and disappears in the forest.
Then Man 6 stands up.
Man 6
Let's go.
All of them get up and come into the cave.
Man 5
And now what shall we do?
Man 3
Let's have a look.
Man 3 is getting inside the cave. The others follow him. When they are
getting deeper inside Vo says:

Let's stop here. The labyrinth starts farther.
Man 3
OK. We'll stop here. Anyway we are deep enough to be heard.
We have
only to wait.
Some hours Woman 1 says:
Woman 1
What's the time?
Man 6
It' around 4 a.m.
Chieftain
Let's go out.
Man 1
Outside will be dark at least for an hour.
Chieftain
He'll be soon back. If we wait for him he could be back
before we get out.
Man 3
Let's go.
Everybody is heading to the entrance. Man 6 slips, falls to the left,
drops on a heap of stones makes it fall down and it produces a high
noise.
Man 3
Let's go out quickly.
Man 6 starts running quickly and the others follow them. When Man 6
reaches the entrance he's 10 metres ahead of the others. At this moment
the Darkness jumps and grasps him.
Man 3
Get behind. Disperse.
Everybody starts running back. When they reach the labyrinth they
disperse. The Darkness follows Man 3. After a bend Man 3 shoves into a
niche. The Darkness slowly is passing through the entrance. Woman 1
stops running breathlessly and lend her ear to. Something starts
nearing to her. She starts stepping back and at this moment man 1
grasps her from behind and pulls her aside. Man 1 puts his hand on her
mouth. Something is passing by and when it gets far Man 1 drops his
hand and whispers:
Man 1
Go ahead.
The both of them go out from the labyrinth and are heading to the
entrance.
Chieftain stops running, turns back to see if the Darkness is following
him. Chieftain slowly starts stepping back. Suddenly he stops feeling
that something is behind his back. Chieftain stops shivering and starts
turning. When Chieftain turns he sees in front of him a huge figure
without a face.
Chieftain
My God.
The Darkness envelops him.
Man 8 standing with his back in a corner stares in a dark section in
front of him. Nothing happens. Man 8 takes a stick lying by his leg and
starts walking ahead. Reaching the dark section Man 8 lifts the stick
and waits.
Man 7
What are you doing?
Man 8 turns his head and sees Man 7 who's 15 metres away. At this
moment Man 7 sees how the Darkness gets from the dark section and
stands by the staring Man 8 toward him.
The Darkness grasps Man 8 and disappears with him in the dark.
Man 5 stands at the end of a tunnel He sees as something huge is
passing by the tunnel When he sees how this thing is passing by he
heaves with relief. But the darkness comes back, enters the tunnel and
is nearing slowly to Man 5. Man 5 freezes. When the Dark is 9 metres
away from him behind him some noise is heard. The Darkness turns and
comes out of the tunnel Man 5 starts walking slowly ahead. Man 5 gets
out of the tunnel and starts looking for the labyrinth exit. Suddenly
something behind him rustles. Man 5 run away ahead, gets out of the
labyrinth and suddenly meets Guide.
Man 5
You frighten me.
Guide smiles with relief and says:
Guide
Don't you ask me how I really feel. Let's get away from
here.
The both of them are heading to the cave exit. At this moment something
from above grasps V who's a little behind Man 5. Man 5 turns but
there's no trace of V. Man 5 rushes to the cave exit. Something starts
reaching him. As he runs Man 3, turns his head and sees how something
huge starts nearing to him. Man 3 continues running and gets out where
Man 1, Man 5, Woman 1, Woman 3 and Man 7 are.
Man 3 stops breathlessly and said:
Man 3
Where are the others?
Man 1
They're still inside.
On the following day at noon Man 1 gets out of one of the houses. Man 3
is sitting by the heap from the fire. Man 1 is nearing him and said:
Man 1
Where's Woman 1? I haven't seen her since this morning.
Man 3
She's gathered his baggage and went to the coast.
Man 1 goes to the coast where Woman 1 is standing. When Man 1is nearing
to her she said:
Woman 1
The ship could come from one moment to another and we'll
leave that
dirty place.
Man 1
Let's come back to the village.
Woman 1
No. If the ship arrives we won't have to remain tonight
here.
Man 1 grasps Woman 1 and said:
Man 1
We have to spend just one more night. The ship will arrive
tomorrow
morning.
Woman 1
I can't stand anymore.
Man 1
We'll draw out form here. I promise you.

Yes, we will.
The both of them are heading to the village.
In the evening all of them are in one of the houses.

Come on we've almost succeeded We don't have to give up

Become aware. The ship will arrive tomorrow at the

the ship.

I'm heading to the coast.
Man 1 takes his luggage and when he lifts it pushes Guide's bag. A
stick of dynamit drops from it. Man 1 takes it and said:

With its help we could hold it back inside.
Man 5
Yes, maybe we could do it. Do you know how to do it?
Man 1
I'm not sure. I'll try it.
Man 3 gets up and says:

I'm coming with you.
Woman 3
I'm coming, too.
Man 5
We come all of us.
Every one gets to the passage. Man 1 gets out the stick of dynamite,
gets to the exit, fix it in the rock, lights the fuse and comes back to
the others in a run. A while latter the exit explodes and is covered
with stones. Every one gets up.
Man 5
We did it. My God we did it.
From the coast comes the noise of the arriving ship. All of them get up
and start embracing with joy. At this moment over the passage the
Darkness is cropping up.
Man 1
To the ship. Quickly.
Every one is dispersing in a run toward the ship. Man 7 stays stiff.
The Darkness is coming and embraces him. Man 1 feel s how something is
getting closer to him. He continues running with all his forces and
when he reaches the coast he has a feeling that the Darkness is just by
him. At this moment the ship searchlight illuminates him. From the ship
the captain says:
Capitan
What's happening? Where are the others?
Man 1 gets onboard, reaches the searchlight and directs it towards the
coming group.
Captain
What the hell are you doing?
Man 1
Switch on the other one and do what I'm doing.
The captain switches on the searchlight and starts illuminating the
forest. After a while Man 3, Woman 1Man 5 and Woman 3 are coming from
the forest. They get on board and
Man 1 says:
Man 1
Sail immediately.
Captain
What's happening?
Man 3 goes and gets hold of the searchlight and says:
Man 3
Sail as fast as possible.
The ship starts sailing away.
Man 3
W did it. Now there's no place where to go to when the sun
rises.
Man 1 leaves the searchlight on and says:
Man 1
Yes everything is over.
The ship is sailing to the ocean.
During the night Woman 1 is on the board and is staring at the
horizont. Man 1 is coming close to her.
Man 1
Why don't you sleep. It's almost 4 in the morning.
Woman 1
After all that I can't fall asleep.
Man 1 smiles and says:
Man 1
Me either but everything's over.
Woman 1
You're right.
Woman 1 is getting near to Man 1 staers at him. Man 1 also is staring
at her. At this moment something grasps Man 1 and pulls him back in the
dark. In screaming Woman 1 starts running:
Woman 1
It's on board.
Everybody gets up and runs to woman 1. Man 3 is the first to reach her,
takes her hands and says:
Man 3
What's happening?
Woman 1
It's on the board.
The others reach them. Captain gets out and says:
Capitan
What the hell is happening? Why are you screaming?
At this moment the Darkness comes behind his back, grasps and envelopes
him. The others jumps into the water. Man 3 manages to unfasten a boat
and then he jumps into water, too. Everybody gets in the boat and Man 3
starts rowing.
Woman 3
Could it swim?
The boat gets fast away from the ship.
In the morning Woman 3 gets up and sees that they are still in the
ocean.
Woman 3
I'm thirsty.
Man 3
Who's not? We have no water no food. We have nothing.
Man 5
Does any one have an idea where we are?
No one answers.
When it starts getting dark suddenly Woman 3 shouts:
Woman 3
Look over there.
Everybody has a look and sees some coast in the distance. Man 3 takes
the oars and starts rowing with all his power. Soon the boat gets to
the coast and everybody gets to some little town on the coast and goes
forward. No one could be seen around. Woman 1 has a look aside and
freezes. When Man 3 notices her expression on the face has also a look
aside and sees a ship in a distance. It's the same that they came to
the island.
Man 3
It's not true.
The others notice the ship, too.
Man 5
How did it get to that place?
Man 3 has a look around. There's only silence. Man 3 notices some
house.
Man 3
To the house. We shouldn't stay outside. Soon it'll be
dark.
All of them are heading to the house and when they reach it Man 3 opens
the door and they get in. Woman 1switches the knights on and has a look
throughout the window. Outside there's the same silence. Man 5 sits on
a chair and says:
Man 5
Now we have to wait for the morning. Nothing could happen
to
us here.
The others sit and relax. At night all of them are sleeping. Some noise
comes from outside. Man 5 wakes up, nears the window and has a look
outside. He sees nothing. Just when Man 5 is on the way to get back
from the window he notices two men breaking into a run on the street
The Darkness appears behind them, quickly reaches them and grasps one
of the both. The other continues running, gets to the house where they
are in. Man 5 goes to the door and opens it quickly. Man 11 notices
him, goes to the door and comes into the house. Man 5 shuts the door.
Man 11 stops, inhales and says:
Man 11
Thank you.
The others woken up because of that go to them.
Woman 1
What's happening?
Man 5
He's out. Are you OK?
Man 11
Yes this time it was for a while.
Man 3
How many are you in the town?
Man 11
I'm not sure. We're three or maybe less.
Man 11 goes to the phone in the other room and has dialed. After a
while a voice is heard from the receiver and Man 11 sighs.
Man 11

Man 11 takes the receiver and dials the same number.
Man 11
Man 12, Man 13 turn the lamps on. There should be as much
light as
possible in the house.
From the other end a voice says:

Man 11 replaces the receiver and says:

Man 11 sits and says:

So here we're safe.
Woman 1
Yes. We have to wait until the morning.
At this moment all the lamps switch off.
Man 3 says in whispering:

Damn, what shall we do now?
Man 11
It could be the fuses.
Woman 3
Does anyone want to fix them?
Man 5 sneaks to the window and has a look at outside.
Man 5
I see it no where.
Woman 3 goes to Man 5 and also has a look at outside. In the distance
something budges. She stares more attentively at and sees it to walk
slowly away.
Woman 3

Man 5 looks at again, notices it and says:

Man 3 asks tensely:

What's it doing?
Woman 3
It is getting away.
Man 3 sits with relief and pushes unwittingly down a on the floor a
kerosene lamp. Everyone turns to him. Woman 3 turns again and has a
look at outside.
Man 3
Where it is?
Woman 3
I saw it no where.
Everyone freezes noiselessly. At this moment the phone rings. All of
them look at the phone.
Man 5
Disconnect it immediately.
The phone rings once more. Man 11 disconnect the cable. Woman 3 turns
and looks at outside again.
Man 1
Is it there?
Woman 3
It's no where.
At this moment the woman notices how the Darkness goes out from the
dark and starts heading to the house.
Woman 3
It's coming towards us.
Man 11
Let's get off.
All of them get out and disperse The Darkness goes after Woman 1 who is
running to some house. When the Darkness id near to her she reaches the
door, opens it, tuches the lamp switch and turns on the light. Woman 1
turns. There's no one behind her. Woman 1 stares at the dark, but
notices nothing. She goes from one room to another switching on the
lamps until all the lamps aren't on.
Man 5 is standing behind a tree. Man 5 casts his eyes about but he sees
the Darkness no where. Woman 1 sees Man 5, opens the door and casts her
eyes about too.
Woman 1
I can't see it no where .
Man 5 turns, leans on a tree and sees behind a black raven perched on a
near tree. The raven bow a head and take something it his beak . Man
5 turns again to Woman 1. At this moment a noise is heard behind him.
Man 5 turns and sees how the black bird who's looking down and then
flies away. Man 5 gets up and starts running to the house where woman 1
is. When he's a t 20 metres from it Woman 1 sees the Darkness standing
by the house and waits for Man 5.
Woman 1
No, go back.
Man 5 goes on running towards her. When Man 5 is about 10 metres far
from the house The darkness grasps him and disappears with in the dark.
Woman 1
No.
After a while in the distance two other house are illuminated. The
phone rings and Woman 1 lifts the receiver.
Woman 1
Hello.
Man 11
I am. I'm together with Woman 3 in the house on your right.
Man 3 is in
the other. How do you feel?
Woman 1
OK.
Man 11
Is Man 5 with you?
Woman 1
He...
Woman 1 keeps silence.
Man 11
It's OK. Our phone number is ... call us if there's
anything.
Woman 1
OK.
Woman 1 puts down the receiver. All of them are waiting again for the
morning. Suddenly the lamp of Man 12 and Man 13 switches down. Woman 3
who's standing by the window sees it and says:
Woman 3
Something has happened.
Man 11 goes to the window and has a look at the dark house.
Man 11
When did it happen?
Woman 3
A moment ago.
Man 11 goes to the phone and dials Man 12 and Man 13 phone number.
After a while Man 11 says:
Man 11
I'm going to see what happened with them.
Woman 3

Woman 3

Man 11
They must see it and got frightened. There's nothing to
fear from. The
house is about 40 metres away from here.
Woman 3
Only 40 metres.
Man 11 goes out of the house. Woman 3 looks at him through the window.
When Man 11 gets near to the house he enters a section where it's too
dark. When Man 11 is going in it Woman 3 couldn't follow him. After a
while a dull sound is heard and Woman 3 continues to search with her
eyes Man 11 but he could be seen nowhere. Suddenly the lamps in each
house go off. The Darkness starts towards Woman 1's house. Woman 1 is
on the second floor. She starts walking down and when she reaches the
stairs leading to the first floor she notices a huge figure. Woman 1
starts stepping back and enters some room where she gets in the corner
with a lantern in hand. She hears a noise of steps coming near. When
the steps reach the door she points the lantern at the door where Man 3
and Woman 3 appear. Woman 3 puts down the lantern and sigh with relief.
Man 3
Are you OK?
Woman 1 reaches them and whispers:
Woman 1
Yes. It's somewhere here.
Man 3
Give me the lantern. I'll lead.
Man 3 takes the lantern and goes towards the stairs. Woman 1 and Woman
3 follow him. While going out nothing happens. When Man 3 gets out of
the house he turns and sees only Woman 1.
Man 3
Where's Woman 3?
Woman 1 turns her head back and says:
Woman 1
I don't know. She was just behind me.
Man 3
Let's get off from here.
The both of them start running and reach some house. They come in.
Woman 1 goes to some window and looks at the house they have just come
from. The Darkness comes out from the front door and slowly is heading
towards them.
Man 3
It's coming.
Man 3 sees by his leg a big container of petrol. He opens it, smells it
and starts pouring out the substance everywhere including the front
door.
Woman 1
What are you doing?
Man 3
It's a petrol.
Man 3 poured out the entire petrol from the container.
Man 3
Go out from behind. I'll wait for him to come in and I'll
put fire to the
house.
Woman 1 goes out. Man 3 is standing in front of the door and
waits.After a while the door starts slowly opening and the Darkness
comes in. Man 3 doen't move. The Darkness starts slowly getting closer
to him. When the Darkness is 3 about metres away from him Man 3 close
his eyes, lights the lighter and throws it on the floor. The whole
house burst into fire. In some seconds the fire envelopes the whole
house. An awful scream is heard from inside and it continues a little
bit and then slowly disappears. Woman 1stands and looks at the burning
house.
