EXT: SKYSCRAPER - DAY

RICHARD PARKER, 30 years, jumps from 87th floor, hits the ground and 
meets a gory death.

INT: FARM HOUSE - DAY

JENNIFER PARKER, 25 years, breezes inside the house.

				JENNIFER                       
		Richie. Richie.

She goes to the kitchen.
    
				JENNIFER (cont'd)
Where the hell are you?
	
She opens the bedroom door.

				JENNIFER PARKER (cont'd)
		Rich. Rich.

She hears the sound of shower. She strides inside and knocks on the 
bathroom door.

				JENNIFER (cont'd)
		RICHIE. RICH.      

She opens the door but finds nobody in the shower. She turns her gaze 
to find Richard Parker, sitting naked on the toilet seat and writing on 
a laptop.

				JENNIFER 
		RIIIICCCCHHHHAAAAAAARRRRRRDDDDDDD.

Richard Parker continues writing. Jennifer steps inside and stops the 
shower. She walks near him and shouts.	

				JENNIFER 
		RICHARD. WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?

Richard Parker looks up, startled.
				
		RICHARD PARKER
Hi. Jen.                            

		JENNIFER
		So you plan to continue writing?
		
				RICHARD PARKER
		What?

				JENNIFER
As per our agreement, your two-year vacation period ends today and you 
have to return home.
		
				RICHARD PARKER
		But I'm working on my second novel. Jennifer.		
		
				JENNIFER
		No. No. No. NO RICHARD.
		
				RICHARD PARKER
I need one more year. Jen.                                        
		
				JENNIFER
No. Richie. Strictly no. It's time for home.                            
		I can't bear it anymore.

She runs out of the bathroom. Richard comes out, wearing a towel.
		
				RICHARD PARKER		
This time I bet I'll sell my novel.

Jennifer stops at the bedroom door and turns.
		
		JENNIFER
You said the same last time and you have wasted two precious years.

Richard walks towards her.
                              
		RICHARD PARKER	
No. Jen. But I gained a lot of experience. It'll help sell my second 
novel.                              

Jennifer lowers her eyes.                             

		JENNIFER	
But we can't afford this. Richie                            

Richard Parker lifts her face up.                             

		RICHARD PARKER
Why? Jen.                              
                                       

EXT: SHOPPING MALL - DAY

A car screeches to halt; a gunman lowers the window and shoots Richard 
Parker coming out from a shop.


		JENNIFER
I lost my job.
                               
		RICHARD PARKER
Oh.                             

		JENNIFER
It's the economy and they are downsizing. 

		RICHARD PARKER
Bad luck.

		JENNIFER
And another thing. Richie. 

                                                              

EXT: STREET - DAY

Richard Parker jogs on the street. A bomb explodes and tears him into 
pieces.


          JENNIFER (cont'd) 
I'm three months pregnant.
                             
		RICHARD PARKER
Jen!
          
		     	JENNIFER
I'm so lonely. Richie. I'm so depressed. I wanted to do something 
meaningful.

		RICHARD PARKER
But we planned to start a family after I made the first sale.

		JENNIFER
Still, you can make it. You can write in the weekend.             
		
				RICHARD PARKER
No. Jen. I can't travel in two boats. It'll create havoc in my daytime 
job like it did last time.
                             
		JENNIFER
Okay. Richie. I leave it to you.

						        

EXT: MOUNTAIN - DAY

Richard Parker falls from a mountain into a river. A crocodile opens 
its jaws, grabs him and swims away.    

EXT: FARM HOUSE - DAY                        

Jennifer runs towards her car. Before getting inside the car, she turns 
and shouts.                             
		
				JENNIFER PARKER
Listen Richie. I love you. I love you so much. Please return home and 
take care of your wife and the baby.                             

The car reverses and swiftly speeds on the driveway.


INT: FRASER GAMES SOFTWARE - DAY   

JOHN FRASER, 50 years old guy, watches the computer screen.

COMPUTER SCREEN

Richard parker jumps from Skyscraper and crashes to death, a crocodile 
catches him and eats him alive, a gunman shoots him and a bomb tears 
him to pieces. 

John Fraser dials a phone number.

				JOHN FRASER
		Hi. Rich.   
		
				RICHARD PARKER
		Got the graphics? 
		
				JOHN FRASER
		Yeah. What's this?

				RICHARD PARKER
		The death of a writer.
 
				JOHN FRASER
		So you can't make it.

				RICHARD PARKER
Yeah. I'm quitting my writing career and I'd like to continue in my old 
job, the animator.

				JOHN FRASER
You're always welcome. Boy. I badly need innovative brain like yours.  

Ext: FARMHOUSE-NIGHT                                                                   

Richard starts to pack. He dump all his manuscripts; rejection slips 
and books related to his writing career in front of the farm house and 
sets fire to it. He tears away the plastic board "RICHARD PARKER, 
WRITER" pinned on the door. He places the suitcases inside his car and 
calls Jennifer Over cellphone.                            

				RICHARD PARKER
		Jen. I've decided. I'm returning home.                                         

EXT: STREET - NIGHT                                                  

Richard Parker drives the car in the street. The street is almost 
empty. He sees the neon signboard that reads SANDRA BOOK STORE. He 
reverses the car and stops it before the shop.


INT: SANDRA BOOK SHOP - NIGHT

SANDRA WILLIAMS, 50 years old, sits behind a vast desk in the center of 
the bookshop and reading a book. Richard Parker walks towards her. 
Sandra looks up from the book.                           

				SANDRA
		Welcome writer. What's up?
                            
				RICHARD PARKER
		I need the manuscript.
                            
				SANDRA
		What?
                            
				RICHARD PARKER
The book I gave you for a read. I want it back now.
                             
		SANDRA
I read it. It's a wonderful novel. If I were a publisher.
 
	RICHARD PARKER	                            
Oh. Cut it. I don't want to hear all those craps. I want to destroy it. 
I'm quitting my writing career.
                               
		 SANDRA
Don't lose confidence. One day you will win.
                              
 RICHARD PARKER
Please Sandra. Give back the manuscript.
	                             
		 SANDRA	
Okay. Wait a minute.

Sandra walks up the stairs found at the corner of the room. The 
upstairs room is crammed with card board boxes, used packing materials, 
old book racks, discarded books, unopened book parcels and chairs and 
tables. She opens a cupboard and takes out a manuscript folder. 

A masked figure gets up behind an unopened parcel and shoots Sandra 
twice in the heart. 

The killer dashes out of the room, steps down and stops short on his 
path on seeing Richard Parker in the ground floor. 

At this moment, the cell phone of the killer buzzes. But he ignores it 
and pointing the gun at Richard, he climbs down.

He marches ahead, moves in a half circle around Richard, reverses and 
walks backwards towards the door all the while pointing the gun at him. 
The cell phone again rings as the killer disappears behind the door.    

Richard runs up the stairs and looks inside the room. Sandra is lying 
near the cupboard with blood splattered all over her chest. The pages 
from his novel are scattered around her. 
				
                   Flash cut                    

INT:CONFERENCE ROOM OF A HOTEL- DAY 

Banners tied across the hall read "WRITER'S CONFERENCE". Writers are 
chatting in small groups. Richard Parker sits alone in a corner and 
drinks coffee.A middle-aged guy, an editor in a famous publishing house 
comes there with a coffee cup and sits opposite him.

				EDITOR
		Hi. 

				RICHARD PARKER
Hello.

		EDITOR
I read your novel in the workshop. It's good.
But launching a first time author is extremely tough. WE'll PUBLISH 
YOUR NOVEL IF YOU'RE A CELEBRITY OR YOU FIND YOUR NAME IN THE FRONT 
PAGE OF A NEWSPAPER. 

INT: BOOKSHOP - NIGHT
                                                              Detective 
Inspectors JOHN HANSEN, 40 years and SEAN ASTIN, 35 years, enter the 
bookshop. 
  			
			JOHN HANSON		
          You're the guy who made the call?
		
RICHARD PARKER
		Yeah.

			JOHN HANSEN                                    
          You said you killed this Sandra woman.                               

			RICHARD PARKER
Yes. I'm a writer. I gave her my novel for a read. When I asked her 
opinion, she simply ridiculed my book and made rude and offensive 
remarks. We got into an argument, well I couldn't control my temper any 
longer, and I pulled out my gun and shot her. 
       
	SEAN ASTIN
Where's the gun?

	RICHARD PARKER
What?

	SEAN ASTIN
The gun you shot with.

	RICHARD PARKER
I'm sort of dazed. I couldn't believe I've committed a major crime. I'm 
confused and I thought of running away. I threw the gun in the gutter. 
But I know you guys are sharp and definitely would find me. So I 
changed my mind and planned to surrender and tell the truth.

	SEAN ASTIN
Okay. Where's the body?

	RICHARD PARKER
In the upstairs room.		 

Richard Parker guides the detective inspectors to the upstairs room.	
			
	 
INT: JAIL ROOM - DAY

RICHARD PARKER, in jail dress, reads morning newspaper.

INSERT

WRITER KILLS HIS READER.

BACK TO SCENE

RICHARD PARKER'S JAILMATE
Buddy

Richard Parker looks up from the newspaper. 

JAILMATE
I've seen lot of murder, treachery and robbery. I know a real from the 
fake. I know you didn't commit that murder.



INT: JAIL'S VISITOR'S ROOM - DAY

ROBERTS HENSHAW, 30 years old guy, stands behind the cross wires that 
divides the convicts from the visitors. He waves his hand as Richard 
Parker enters the room.
 
				ROBERTS HENSHAW
Hi. Richard. I'm Roberts Henshaw. Partner in a major literary agent's 
network. 

		RICHARD PARKER
Nice to meet you.

		ROBERTS HENSHAW
Let's come straight to business. I'd like to take you as my client. 
I've some 150 authors in my client list and most of them are very 
famous authors. I'll sell your novel in an auction and get you an 
advance in six figures.

		RICHARD PARKER
But I don't have the hard copy. I destroyed it all.
 
		ROBERTS HENSHAW
No Problem. I read your manuscript. It's in the forensic lab. After the 
test was over, I photocopied it and read it. It's a great book.

		RICHARD PARKER
Thanks.

		ROBERTS HENSHAW		
Here is the contract. Note it's predated and don't forget to tell 
anyone that you have signed it before you came to jail. Okay?

		RICHARD PARKER
Yeah. I understand.

He passes the paper through the small opening and Richard Parker gets 
it and signs it.

		
INT: JAIL ROOM VISITOR'S HALL - MORNING

JENNIFER PARKER
I know you didn't do this. You don't have the guts.

		RICHARD PARKER
Yeah. I didn't do this. I'm desperate.
I'm cornered. I want a way out and I used this opportunity. Now I'm 
famous. The whole fucking world will want to read my novel and the 
fucking publishers will sell my novel. I'll make millions.

JENNIFER PARKER
But you will be sentenced to death.

RICHARD PARKER
No. We can find the real killer.

JENNIFER PARKER
HOW?

RICHARD PARKER
You go out, inquire around and collect the facts. I'll analyze the data 
and the find the real killer.

CLOSE UP: RICHARD PARKER'S FACE.

It has a dreamy look

RICHARD PARKER (cont'd)
I love risks. I'm so happy now. I can feel the thrill in my blood. It's 
better than wasting my life in stupid daytime jobs. 

He looks up at Jenny.

RICHARD PARKER         
Come on Jen. We can make it.
 
	JENNIFER PARKER
Let's hope so.

	RICHARD PARKER
Jen.

	JENNIFER PARKER
Yes.

		RICHARD PARKER
How'd you react if I really killed that woman?

		JENNIFER PARKER
I'd hate you.

		RICHARD PARKER
Then behave like a murderer's wife and don't let anyone know the 
secret. Okay?

	
EXT: JAIL - DAY       

Press people and T.V reporters circle Jennifer as she comes out of 
jail.

		T.V REPORTER ONE
Do you still love your husband?

		JENNIFER PARKER
No. I hate him. I feel ashamed. I never thought he'd do such a stupid 
thing.

		REPORTER TWO
Is he such an aggressive man?

		JENNIFER PARKER
Yeah. I remember him beating me in one or two occasions. 

		REPORTER TWO
He beat you?  What for?

		JENNIFER PARKER
No. It's personal.

		REPORTER TWO
Is it over some trivial matters?

		JENNIFER PARKER
Please no.

		REPORTER THREE
We made a little bit research on you. We know you're pregnant. Do you 
consider aborting the baby now?

		JENNIFER PARKER
Please. Leave me alone.

Jennifer pushes the crowd and runs towards her car. 	                     


INT: JAILROOM - DAY

Richard Parker reads morning newspaper. 

INSERT

JAIL CONVICT WRITER RICHARD PARKER SELLS HIS NOVEL FOR 15 MILLIONS 
DOLLORS. HIS AGENT SELLS HIS NOVEL IN AN AUCTION.

BACK TO SCENE

Richard Parker throws the newspaper away. Jail mate picks the newspaper 
and reads the headlines. He looks up at Richard Parker.

				JAILMATE
Now I knew why you said you've killed that woman. Buddy. You're a white 
collar criminal.

INT: JAIL'S VISITOR'S ROOM - DAY

Jennifer Parker meets Richard Parker.

				JENNIFER PARKER
I started the investigation and found this dame Sandra's character very 
interesting. She was a very tough lady. She lost her husband in Sep'11 
incident and it made her kinda unbalanced and she went on killing 
people. 

		RICHARD PARKER 
		What?

INT: RICHARD PARKER'S CELL-DAY

INT: BOOK SHOP - DAY                    

Anita, a teenager is arranging books in the shelves. Sandra sits behind 
her vast table in the center of the shop, opening mails.

				SANDRA
		Anita.

				ANITHA
		Yes. Ma'am.

				SANDRA
Shit. Anita you again wrongly dispatched a book.

Anita stops arranging the books and stands still. She looks hurt. 
Sandra stands up and walks to her.
				 		 					  	
			     SANDRA
What happened?  What's bugging you? Anita it's third time you're doing 
this same mistake?

Anita lowers her head.

 				SANDRA
		If you've any problem, tell me.

Anita starts crying. Sandra walks closer to her and put her hand on her 
shoulder.

				SANDRA
		Come on. Young girl.

				ANITA
It's my ex-boy friend. I don't know he's a pornographer. He made our 
love making a porn film and plans to upload it in his porn website. I 
don't like it and I don't know how to retrieve the film from him.

 				SANDRA
		Bastards. I know how to handle these pricks.

									     

EXT: PENTH HOUSE - DAY

Sandra put gloves on her hands and presses the doorbell.
The door opens and MICHAEL LEWIS, Anita's lover, appears in the 
doorway. Sandra pushes Michael Lewis aside and enters inside. Anita 
follows her in.

				MICHAEL
		Hey. What's this?

Sandra removes a gun from her jeans pant and points it at him.

				SANDRA
		Give me the sex film you made on this girl.

				MICHAEL
		Clear off. I don't know any such film.

				ANITA
He's lying. I saw him and his partner watching it in the computer lab.

Sandra walks near Michael and punches squarely on his face. He staggers 
and falls down on the floor with a thud.

				SANDRA
		He passed out. Show me the way to computer lab.

                                                    
INT: COMPUTER LAB

Three huge computers are there, all have a screen saver running on 
their screens. Anita searches in the shelves containing CDs and 
videocassettes. Sandra sits before a computer.

				ANITA
		I got the film.

She shows a CD that had her name labeled on it.

				ANITA
		Suppose he saved it in the disk?

				SANDRA
No problem. I'm formatting all the disks. It'll erase all the files. 
Are you sure he had not uploaded the file in the server?

				ANITA
I checked his website. No. Mine was not there. He'd not uploaded it.

INT: PENTH HOUSE-DAY                                               

They return to the main room. A fat man enters inside.
He sees his friend lying in the floor, looks up at the two women and 
the CD in Anita's hand.
			
				FAT MAN
		How dare you do such a thing to my friend?

He charges forward. Sandra steps aside and takes out her gun. Fat man 
catches Anita, twists her hand and slaps hard on her face.  The CD 
slips from her hand and he grabs her neck and hits her on the wall and 
Anita collapses on the floor. Now he turns to face Sandra. 

				FAT MAN
		Now it's your turn.

Sandra waves the gun at him.

				SANDRA
		If you take one step forward, I'll shoot.

				FAT MAN
		Shut up your mouth. You slut.

Fat man plunges forward and Sandra shoots. The bullet hits his chest, 
forms a red hole and he drops down on the floor like a dead bullock. 
Anita gets up and collects the CD.

				SANDRA
		Come on. Let's get out quick and fast.

They run out of the building, get into the car and the car drives away 
at great speed.

                                                    
INT: JAIL'S VISITOR'S ROOM-DAY

				JENNIFER PARKER
Police investigated the murder. They inquired Anita. She said she and 
her boss Sandra locked the bookshop and verified the stocks with the 
stock registers. They crosschecked it with Sandra and she repeated the 
same. They couldn't pin the murder on Sandra and she escaped. I got 
this info from a police informer.
		 
INT:JAIL'S ROOM - DAY

Richard Parker writes in the note pad.

INT:FOREST - DAY                                                                                                         

Sandra rides a horse inside a deep forest. She spots a deer behind a 
bush and shoots it. The shot misses the deer and it runs away unhurt. 
But she hears an unnatural sound from the bush. Sandra goes near and 
inspects.

				SANDRA					                                 
OOUCH 

A young man is lying dead behind the bushes. 
                                               CUT TO   

Police officers, reporters and forensic people gather around the bush. 
Forensic people are doing the tests and one officer is enquiring 
Sandra.

				SANDRA
It's purely an accident. I don't know this guy is hiding behind the 
bush.                                   
  
										
INT:JAIL'S VISITING ROOM 
 
				JENNIFER PARKER
But nobody claimed the body. The police didn't get any clues to his 
identity. They've registered a case and are still investigating but 
they did not arrest Sandra. I got this info from an unsolved crimes 
database in the internet.

INT:JAILROOM - DAY

INT: AUDITORIUM - NIGHT

		BEST SELLING NON-FICTION AUTHOR

				SIGNS HIS BOOK
		       MY LITTLE DAUGHTER

BACK TO SCENE.		

The auditorium is full. Sandra stands in the podium and appears ready 
to make a speech. Kenneth, his wife and a small crowd occupied the 
center stage and behind them is a giant screen.

				SANDRA
Welcome readers. Let me introduce Mr.James Kenneth Patterson. You'd 
have all heard that pedophile, named candy man, killing five innocent 
little girls in New York suburb two years ago. 

Presentation clips show the five beautiful children one by one on the 
screen.

		SANDRA(cont'd)
Kenneth's daughter was the third victim. Kenneth loved his daughter 
very much and wanted to write a book on her.

Clips show the Kenneth's daughter.

				SANDRA(cont'd)
Then he remembered that there were four other innocent little daughters 
and four other grief-stricken fathers. He met them all, asked them 
about their daughters and also included their sweet sad memories in his 
book.

We all know the police are not able to catch the killer and he is still 
at large. Kenneth included the complete case file and clear description 
of the killer in his book.

Clip shows the dark profile of the Candy man. 

		SANDRA (cont'd)
Anyone, after reading the book, feel that they have seen the killer or 
known some thing about him, may contact Kenneth or the police. This 
book also contains guidelines to identify the child molesters and 
safeguard your child from them. 

Clip shows the contact number and address of Kenneth.

Kenneth gets up from the chair and walks to the podium.

				KENNETH
My book speaks for me. It's a very tough experience. Often I would 
break down and cry. I couldn't write for days. Then I'd recover and 
continue writing. My wife was a great support for me. She helped me to 
come out from the sad memories. If it were not for her, I wouldn't have 
completed the book.
	
CLAPS
                                          CUT TO


A tall, lean guy gets up from the front row, takes an aim and shoots 
Kenneth. He ducks away at the last moment and the shot hit a wooden 
partition in the backstage. 

Kenneth's wife shrieks and the guests at the centre stage try to move 
under chairs and tables for cover. 

The gunman turns and starts to run towards the exit.Sandra takes out 
her gun and shoots him. He crumples down on the carpet midway and dies.

GUNMAN LYING ON THE FLOOR.

										CUT TO

Police officer enquires Sandra.

				SANDRA
I thought he was the Candy man and so I shot him.

										CUT TO	
INT: JAIL'S VISITING ROOM - DAY             

				JENNIFER PARKER
It turned out to be that he was a hired killer and drug addict. May be 
the Candy man has hired him to kill the author. Local newspapers had 
given a wide publicity for this incident and I read about it all in the 
local library. It seems Sandra is on the track of this Candy man. Her 
maid has given me valuable information.


INT: JAILROOM - DAY

INT: SANDRA'S HOME                                   DAY

The room contains large number of television sets. Big screen, small 
screen and flat screens. On every screen, author book signing event is 
running on. Maid enters the room.

				MAID
		Ma'am. It's intriguing. What're you doing?

Sandra comes out behind a huge T.V set.

				SANDRA 
I try to get the feel of the author-signing event. I strongly believe 
the Candy man was in the auditorium to watch the killing. This 
atmosphere will take me back to that day and I'll find the Candy man by 
watching the crowd in the T.V.

				MAID
		Is it so? Ma'am.

				SANDRA
I've a strong gut feeling that I'll find this Candy man and send him to 
Jail.


INT: JAIL'S VISITOR'S ROOM - DAY

				JENNIFER PARKER
		I spent money and got the typed version of the 	
	investigations. Read it and spot the killer

Richard Parker receives the sheets.

INT: Jail                                             DAY

INSERT 

WITNESS NUMBER ONE.

BACK TO SCENE.
		
INT: KITCHEN ROOM OF A RESTAURENT - DAY 

Anita is filling her tray with the orders she waited. Another waiter 
enters the kitchen.

				ANOTHER WAITER
		Anita

Anita turns back.

				ANOTHER WAITER
Manager calls you. I saw a police officer in the Manager's room. I 
think they come for an inquiry.

A look of fear spreads across her face. She slowly places the tray on 
the table and walks over to the Manager's room.
				
JOHN HANSEN
		Well. You're Anita.

				ANITA
		Yes.

				JOHN HANSEN
		Please take your seat.

He pushes a chair towards her. Anita sits on the chair facing him.

				JOHN HANSEN
		So it's your new job.

				ANITA
		Yes.

				JOHN HANSEN
		You don't like working there.

				ANITA.
No. It's not like that. It's been closed. I don't know when it's going 
to be opened.
 
		JOHN HANSEN
You'll join when they open it?

		ANITA
I hope so. I love the job.

		JOHN HANSEN
It won't give you a creepy feeling to work in a place where your boss 
was murdered?

		ANITA
Yes. But I think it'll pass.

		JOHN HANSEN
Well. Where were you when your boss was murdered?

		ANITA
I got a call from my father that my mother was not well and admitted in 
hospital for a surgery. I told this to Sandra and she asked me to leave 
early to go and see my mother.

		JOHN HANSEN
When did the call come?

		ANITA
At 7.20, I think. I left at 7.25.

		JOHN HANSEN
When did you open the shop?

		ANITA
At exactly 5.00.

		JOHN HANSEN
Who opened the shop? What is your regular procedure?

		ANITA
We both have the keys. Usually, I'll open and close the shop and Sandra 
would come at any time she like.
 
		JOHN HANSEN
When did she come on that day she was murdered?

		ANITA
At 7.15, I think. Just little before, I received the call from my 
father.

		JOHN HANSEN
Did you have customers that day?

		ANITA
I think two or three people in between 5 to 7.15.
		JOHN HANSEN
To be exact, there are only two customers. We checked your computer. 
Okay. Did you have any visitor other than the customers?

Anita lowers her head, fidgets and finally looks up.

				ANITA
		No. No visitor.

				JOHN HANSEN
		Are you sure?

				ANITA
		Sure.

				JOHN HANSEN
		Don't lie.
 
				ANITA
		No. I'm not lying. There was no visitor.

				JOHN HANSEN
We've records. We checked the shop and there were two empty unwashed 
teacups.

		ANITA
It didn't mean I had a visitor. I drank two cups of coffee.

The wall clock shows the time 6.30. Anita is behind the cash counter, 
reading a book. Michael Lewis enters the shop. Anita looks up and her 
face turns red with anger.

				ANITA
Hey. Who're you? I don't think you come to buy a book. We don't buy or 
sell pornographic CDs here. Get lost.

		MICHAEL LEWIS
Please. Ani. Don't talk like that. 

		ANITA
I hate you. I don't want to talk to you.

		MICHAEL LEWIS
I've been released from the case completely. They couldn't prove a 
thing on me. But the jail life has completely changed me. I'm an honest 
guy now.
 
	 			ANITA
		I won't believe you.

				MICHAEL LEWIS
Please Ani. I'm penniless now. I've lost everything to the lawyer. 
Nobody is giving me a job and my reputation has been very seriously

He walks towards the door. He opens the door. Anita watches him going 
out, suddenly her face softens.

				ANITA

Michael turns.

should learn to forgive. Come on. Have some coffee.

Michael returns. Anita makes two cups of coffee. She hands out a 
sandwich she had in her handbag. The lover eats the sandwich greedily 
and drinks the coffee.

				MICHAEL LEWIS
It's my first meal. I've not eaten anything from the morning.

		ANITA
Oh. Is it true?

Anita runs to him and throws up her arms around him. She hugs him and 
buries her face in his shoulders. 

				ANITA

				LOVER

				ANITA
		I need you. Come on. There is one room upstairs.

INT: UPSTAIRS ROOM - NIGHT

Anita locks the door and they both start to undress.

				MICHAEL LEWIS		
I've a creepy feeling. Somebody is watching us.

				ANITA
		Habits die-hard. You porn filmmaker.

They drop down on the bare floor and start to make love.

Sandra walks inside the shop.

				SANDRA
		Anita. Where are you?

Anita gets up and hastily starts to dress.

				ANITA
You hide somewhere here. If Sandra sees you, she'll murder me.  

Anita looks at the door and shouts.

				ANITA
I'm here in the upstairs room searching for a book. Ma'am. I'll be 
there in a minute.

She turns to her lover.

				ANITA
		Hurry up. Get up and hide somewhere. Quick

Anita leaves the room and walks down the staircase. Sandra is standing 
near the staircase.

				SANDRA
It's my strict warning. Anita. Just don't leave the shop open. 
Understand? If a customer walks in, what'll he think of us? If you want 
to search for something, do it while I'm in the shop. Okay?

				ANITA
		Okay. Ma'am.

Sandra walks to her desk and sits behind it. Anita walks towards the 
cash counter. Then the telephone rings. Sandra picks up the receiver 
from her desk.

				SANDRA
		Anita. It's for you.

Anita walks to the desk and takes the receiver.

				ANITA
		Is it so? Oh. My God. I'll come there.

Anita places the receiver and turns to Sandra.

				ANITA
Ma'am. It's my father. My mother is admitted in a hospital for a 
surgery. I've to go.

				SANDRA
		Okay. I'll look after the shop. You move fast.

Anita runs towards the door.

INT: MANAGER'S ROOM - DAY                                            

				ANITA
I completely forgot about my lover. Next morning I read the news in the 
newspaper. Oh. It was sad. She was killed just after I've left the 
place. Today morning, my lover called me at my home number. He said he 
got a job in a Television company in New York.

				JOHN HANSEN
		Did you ask him how he got out of the building?
Did he know anything about the murder of your boss, Sandra?

				ANITA
No. I'm sick over all these things. I want to forget it. I didn't ask 
him anything.

				JOHN HANSEN
Tell us the company where your lover boy is working.	

                                          
INT:TELEVISION STUDIO - DAY

Camera viewfinder shows a naked woman. The woman turns on her left. 
Camera changes position and follows her gaze. Now the viewfinder shows 
John Hansen opening the door and entering the studio. Michael Lewis 
looks up from the camera and the naked woman runs behind a screen.
  
				JOHN HANSEN
Hey. I'm investigating the murder of Sandra. We are building the case 
against this writer fellow. It seems you're the witness to the murder.

				MICHAEL LEWIS
		Me? Well. I don't know anything.

	 			JOHN HANSEN
		Anita told us everything. So no dilly-dallying.

Yes. I made love to Anita in the upstairs room. Then this Sandra woman 
came, Anita went down and I hid behind a rack containing unsold books. 
I waited and waited and there was no sign of Anita. After sometime, the 
door opened and this Sandra woman and this writer guy came inside. They 
got into an argument and this writer guy shot her. She fell flat on the 
floor and the unbound papers slipped from her hand and floated all 
around her. Then this writer guy walked away and I waited for some more 
time. I don't want to get caught by this writer guy. If he knew there 
was a witness, he would kill me. Then an unexpected thing happened. The 
door of the toilet, on the opposite side, opened and another guy came 
out. He was wearing the uniform of skylark courier company.

		T.V REPORTER
Could you identify this man?

		MICHAEL LEWIS
I think so. Police are arranging for an identification parade and 
computer graphics analysis.
   
          T.V REPORTER
How did you get out of the building?

		MICHAEL LEWIS
There is glass ventilation in the upstairs room. I removed it, went out 
and climbed down.

A young police officer is operating the computer and Michael is sitting 
beside the police officer and looking at the small eye in the computer 
monitor screen. 

				COMPUTER OPERATOR
		Is his eye look like this one?

				MICHAEL LEWIS
		I think it's much smaller.

He clicks open another eye.

				MICHAEL LEWIS
		Yeah. It's look like his eye.
 
Slowly a human face forms on the computer screen.
 
				MICHAEL LEWIS
		Yeah. It's exactly like him.

INT: SKYLARK COURIER COMPANY.                          DAY
				
JOHN HANSEN				
You have lodged a complaint that your van was intercepted and your 
employee was knocked down.
 
				MANAGER OF THE SKYLARK                     
Yes.
				
I want to speak to that employee who drove the van that day.

	MANAGER
		Joseph  
          (He speaks over the intercom)	

Joseph opens the door and walks in.

				JOHN HANSEN
Could you identify the person who knocked you down?

He shows him the computer printout.

				JOSEPH
		Yes. It's him. I've no doubt.

                                                   
INT:AIRPLANE - DAY

The man, who knocked down the skylark employee, sits in the passenger 
seat along with the other passengers. Suddenly he strikes a match, 
bents down and tries to light his shoe. 

The man, who sits next to him, senses something is very wrong, grabs 
his hand, twists it and makes him drop the lighter. He tries to wriggle 
his hand free and gets from the seat. The guy who sits on the other 
side pins him down on the seat.
				ONE PASSENGER
		FIRE.

				ANOTHER PASSENGER
		Watch out. This guy is lighting the plane.

				AN OLD WOMAN
		HELP..

The passengers who sit around him get from their seat and give him 
severe beatings and thrashings. One guy holds his knees in tight grip 
and another guy removes his shoes.

INT: AIRPORT - DAY

CLOSE UP 

Shoes placed on the table.

Bomb squad Police officer lifts the shoe in his hand and removes its 
bottom. Inside, it's filled with RDX explosive material. 		        

				BOMB SQUAD POLICE OFFICER
		It's enough to blow up an airplane.

The terrorist is handcuffed and stands between the two police officers. 
Another police officer walks fast, comes up before the handcuffed man 
and slaps hard on his face.

				POLICE OFFICER
Who are you? Why did you try to blow up the    plane? 
	
				TERRORIST
I hate you all. I'll blow up your whole country.

Police officer gives him another slap.

                                                    
INT:JAIL - DAY

				JOHN HANSEN
We have a witness saying that you were in the upstairs room when this 
Sandra woman was killed?

		TERRORIST
I hate that woman.
 
		JOHN HANSEN
Why?
		TERRORIST
She killed my friend.

		JOHN HANSEN
Friend?

		TERRORIST
Another terrorist. He hid in the woods to test the power of the bomb. 
This silly woman, who came for hunting, mistaken him for a rabbit, shot 
him and killed him.

		JOHN HANSEN
So you planned to take revenge and killed Sandra. 
 
				TERRORIST
I went there to kill her. I watched her movements for ten days. I 
noticed this courier van coming to bookshop frequently to deliver 
books. I stopped the van in the highway  

		                                         
EXT:HIGH WAY - DAY

A Truck with SKYLARK painted on its side is coming on the Highway. The 
terrorist stands in the center of the road and waves at the van to 
stop. The van brakes to halt. 

Terrorist walks over to the driver's cabin and pulls the driver out. He 
punches squarely on his face and the driver buckles down on the road 
and passes out. Terrorist kneels down beside the driver and starts to 
unbutton his shirt.

                                                    
INT: BOOKSHOP - DAY

Terrorist enters the bookshop, carrying a huge package and dressed in 
skylark's uniform. He scans the whole bookshop. Anita is standing 
beside a rack and helping a customer to select a book.
				TERRORIST
		Hello.

Anita turns.
				TERRORIST
		I'm from Skylark courier. Where's your boss?

				ANITA
		She left early. She'll come in the evening.
You don't have to worry. I'll sign in the delivery slip.
		
				TERRORIST
		Okay. Where shall I leave the package?

				ANITA
		You go straight. You will find the stairs at the
left corner of the room. You go up and leave the package in the 
upstairs room.

Terrorist walks straight. The clock hangs on the wall shows the time 
12.30. He finds the steps and walks up carrying the huge package. He 
pushes open the door, enters the room and places the package on the 
floor.

He comes out, steps on the stairs and looks below. Anita is at the cash 
counter and the customer is leaving the bookshop. 

Terrorist returns to the upstairs room and goes inside a bathroom. He 
closes the door and switches on his cellphone. The phone rings and 
Anita picks up the receiver.

				ANITA
		Hello. It's Sandra book house.

				TERRORIST
(Speaking from the bathroom and changing his         voice to a husky 
tone)
Hi. I'm a student and I'm working on a thesis about publishing. I want 
to know which books sell fast.
 
		ANITA
We've no such record. 

		TERRORIST
It's easy. You please check on your computer and tell the title and 
name of the authors of the books you've sold starting from the first 
day of this month. I can get an idea from this data.

		ANITA
Wait a moment please.

Anita turns to the computer to check the sales records.

				ANITA
Now I'm having the sales records of the first day of the month.

		TERRORIST
Tell me. I'm noting it down. 

		ANITA	 
First day, we have 4 Stephen kings, 3 John Grisham, 5 how to books.

				TERRORIST
		Tell me the name and title.

The clock shows the time 12.50 and Anita places the receiver in the 
cradle. Two minutes after, the telephone rings again. Anita picks up 
the receiver.

				TERRORIST
I'm skylark employee, just delivered a package at your bookshop. You 
were busy attending the phone and I've another important work to take 
care of. So I left without getting the sign in the delivery slip. I'll 
come in the evening and get it from you. Okay? 
 
		ANITA
You're always welcome.

The wall clock shows the time 1:00. Anita leaves from the cash counter. 
She steps up and locks the upstairs room. She takes her handbag, walks 
out of the bookshop and locks the door.
                                          CUT TO
		TERRORIST
I stayed there in the upstairs room, waiting for Sandra. The shop was 
opened at 6:00. I heard some noises and the upstairs room was unlocked 
and this woman Anita and her lover entered in. They made love and 
Sandra arrived and called Anita. Anita went downstairs and soon I heard 
somebody walking up the stairs. I listened carefully and there seemed 
to be two people and they started an argument. Suddenly there was a 
sound of gunfire, and I opened the door slightly and watched. There was 
this writer guy and he was shooting this Sandra woman. She fell down 
with the blood on her chest and the papers in her hand were flying all 
over. That was it. The writer guy has killed Sandra and saved me a 
bullet.

Sandra's book house to buy a book. I entered the shop and there was no 
one inside. I thought that she might be in the upper floor and I walked 
up there. The front door was ajar and inside this writer guy was 
shooting Sandra. Oh. It was horrible.

Kenneth and Sandra are watching the video of the Kenneth book-signing 
event. Sandra freezes the video at one particular scene.

				SANDRA
		Look at this guy.

				KENNETH
		Yes. He seems edgy and restless.

				SANDRA
Why? Why should he behave in such a suspicious manner just before the 
killer trying to shoot you? 
		KENNETH
May be he sent the killer to kill me. May be he is that Candy man and 
he wants me to die.
	
      			SANDRA
		What do you think?

				KENNETH
		I'm not sure.

				SANDRA
		Let's check with the police. 

INT: POLICE STATION - DAY

John Hansen turns away from the computer in his revolving chair to face 
Sandra and Kenneth. 
				
JOHN HANSEN
		Yes. We've a record on this guy.

				SANDRA
		What did he do?

				JOHN HANSEN
He tried to kidnap a four years old child from a charity home in 
Florida. But they couldn't prove a thing on him and he was released.
    
		SANDRA
Do you know where he resides now?

		JOHN HANSEN
No. We've in this record an address in Tampa, Florida. We don't know 
whether he is living there now or not.

EXT: POLICE STATION - DAY

Sandra and Kenneth walk to the car.

				SANDRA
Do you think he came all the way from Florida to kill you?	

		KENNETH
May be he is following me everywhere.

		SANDRA
Do you have all your book signings in video films?

		KENNETH
I've to check it with the bookshops.

          SANDRA
Check it. If we got the films, we can see whether he is following you 
in every book signings.

          KENNETH
I've a hunch he is living somewhere near this town.

		SANDRA
Okay. Let's check our video one more time.

Sandra and Kenneth again watch the film. 

				KENNETH
		I don't think this guy came alone.
				SANDRA
		Yeah.

Few minutes before the shoot out, he is tense and places his hand on 
the shoulder of the woman who sits next to him. 
				SANDRA
I think I know this woman. She is Rose Gordon. She works in the local 
daily.  

INT: ROSE GORDON'S HOME - DAY

				ROSE GORDON
		Welcome. Sandra. 

				SANDRA
No. Let me introduce writer Kenneth.

		KENNETH
Hi.

		ROSE GORDON
Welcome. I came to your book signing with my husband. But I couldn't 
buy the signed copy because of this shoot out.

		SANDRA
Don't worry. He has plenty of signed copies with him. He'll give you 
one.

		ROSE GORDON
Oh. Thanks.

		SANDRA
We need your help Rosa.

		ROSE GORDON
Come on. 

		SANDRA
We had to stop this author-signing event because of this shoot out and 
so much of these signed copies remain unsold. I want you to do an 
article on Kenneth and publish it in your daily.
 
		ROSE GORDON
I'd love to do an article. When shall we start?

		SANDRA
He's ready now.

		ROSE GORDON
Oh. Sure. Just give me ten minutes to prepare the questions.

				SANDRA
No hurry. We'll wait. But do you have a computer?

				ROSE GORDON
		Mike has one in his working room.

				SANDRA
Would you mind if I use it? I want to read an e-   book.

		ROSE GORDON

Rose Gordon walks to the adjoining room and Sandra follows her. 
Numerous toys, Teddy dears, barbies, small cars and toy railway tracks, 
occupy every free space inside the room. 
		
          SANDRA
Do you have children?

		ROSE GORDON
No children at all. Mike is a partner in a toy factory.

		SANDRA
Oh.

		ROSE GORDON
He loves children.

		SANDRA
Really.

		ROSE GORDON
By working in a toyshop, he thinks he can interact more with children.

		SANDRA
Not a bad idea.

		ROSE GORDON
You know, he was arrested for kidnapping a child two years back. But it 
was a mistake and they released him after the initial inquiry. His over 
enthusiasm was interpreted as kidnapping.

		SANDRA
What a pity.

She switches on the computer. 

				SANDRA
		Do you have Internet connection?

				ROSE GORDON
Yeah. Mike became addicted to it. He spent hours browsing the net. 
Sometimes he sits before the computer for the whole night. But I'm not 
using it much. I feel it kills my creative ability. Want to connect it 
to the Internet?

		SANDRA
No. I'm just asking.

Rosa Gordon types the password in the windows screen.

				ROSE GORON
		Now you can use it

EXT: ROSE GORDON HOUSE - DAY

Kenneth and Sandra walk to the car. 

				KENNETH
		Well. Have you found anything?

				SANDRA
		He's the Candy man.

				KENNETH
		How come you're so sure?

				SANDRA
I checked the history items, recently used files and temporary Internet 
files. It shows he regularly visits the child porno websites.
 
		KENNETH
Oh. God.

		SANDRA
I called a person I found in his address book and it turned out to be 
that he was a pimp who supplied child sex workers.

		KENNETH
Oh. No.

		SANDRA
He stored beautiful pictures of children in his computers. And among 
the pictures,	I saw your daughter and four other children who had 
been killed in the New York suburb.

		KENNETH
Oh. Please.

		SANDRA
But I know these are all not enough to capture him. A good lawyer will 
make him escape. But I've other idea.

Kenneth looks at her inquiringly.

				SANDRA
		I'm going to kill him.	


INT: TOY SHOP - DAY

Mike Gordon is in the sales counter displaying dolls to a couple. 
Sandra enters the shop. She waits until the couple purchased a doll and 
leaves the shop. Then she walks towards Mike Gordon.

				SANDRA
		Hi. I know you're the Candy man.

				MIKE GORDON
		What nonsense?

				SANDRA
		I know you're the guy who killed five children.

				MIKE GORDON
		Who are you?

				SANDRA
		You're the guy Kenneth wrote about in his book.

				MIKE GORDON
		Are you mad?

				SANDRA
There is no proof. The police can't prosecute you. But that doesn't 
mean that you can go on killing children. You bastard. I'm going to 
kill you.

She removes the gun from her handbag and points it at him.

				MIKE GORDON
		Hey. Wait.

Sandra presses the trigger and shoots him. Mike ducks behind the 
counter. Sandra jumps on the counter and Mike takes a large box 
containing toys and throws it at her. The box hits Sandra, she loses 
balance and falls inside the shop. 

Mike runs towards the rear side of the shop. Sandra gets up fast and 
chases him. Mike gets into a room and Sandra follows him. Before he 
closes the door, she kicks on the door. The force makes the door swing 
open and it hits Mike and he falls on the floor. 

Sandra points the gun, takes an aim and shoots at him. Mike rolls on 
the floor and escapes from the shot. He gathers himself up and jumps 
behind a large rack containing toys. Sandra walks towards the rack 
pointing the gun. He pushes the rack and Sandra jumps aside. The rack 
lands down with a crash. 

Now there is no barrier between Sandra and Mike. Sandra points the gun 
directly at him.

				MIKE GORDON
		Please. Don't shoot.                         

Sandra presses the trigger.

										CUT TO

INT: KENNETH'S HOUSE - DAY                                     

				KENNETH
She called me over phone and said he had escaped. It seemed that at the 
last moment, a young boy came to the room in search of the shop owner 
and Sandra had to drop the gun. She said further that the war had 
started between Mike and her. I had to kill him before he could kill 
me. I've the plan to hire a professional killer. I warned her to be 
careful. Next day, I heard that the Sandra was murdered. At first, I 
though that it was Mike. Then they said that your husband killed her. 
It was unbelievable. Then I contacted police and told them about the 
suspicions we had on Mike. But they seemed to be happy with the theory 
that your husband was the killer. They don't want to start a new one.

		But it's such a bad publicity.

		He didn't care.

I told the police that a masked man had killed Sandra.

				JENNIFER PARKER

		MICHAEL LEWIS
I told them the truth. But they didn't believe it. He said I was under 
the influence of alcohol and confused the writer with the masked man. 
He asked me to change my statement such that your husband has killed 
Sandra. 

		JENNIFER PARKER
Oh. My God.

		MICHAEL LEWIS
First ask your husband to tell that he had not killed Sandra. Then I'll 
tell the police that a masked man had killed Sandra. Okay.

INT: JAIL - DAY

				JENNIFER PARKER
Why did you tell the police that my husband killed Sandra? You knew 
well that he did not kill her.

				TERRORIST
I need money. It's a hidden message I sent to the killer. I am 
expecting his call. If he contacted, I'd ask him one million dollars to 
repeat the lie.

		JENNIFER PARKER
Suppose I give you two million dollars and could you tell in the court 
that my husband did not kill Sandra?

		TERRORIST
Oh. Yeah.
	

INT: ROSE GORDON'S HOME - DAY

				JENNIFER PARKER
		You're a liar. Why did you do this?

				ROSE GORDON
		I don't understand.
 
				JENNIFER PARKER
You lied to the police that my husband had killed Sandra.

ROSE GORDON
Yes. I lied. I didn't want him to escape. He could buy the other two 
witnesses but not me. 
So I came forward, lied and sealed his escape route forever.

				JENNIFER PARKER
May I know the real reason for your sudden interest in this case?
				
				ROSE GORDON
I care for the society. Criminals should never escape.

		JENNIFER PARKER
But my husband didn't commit the murder.

		ROSE GORDON
Then?

		JENNIFER PARKER
He lied to get publicity to sell his novel.

		ROSE GORDON

No. Jen. There is no comeback. If I tell the truth now, I'll cut a 
sorry figure. No one will believe and my novel won't sell.

		JENNIFER PARKER
We're at the crossroad now. I don't think we have enough evidence to 
prove that Mike Gordon is Candy man and we know it's impossible to make 
him confess.
   
		RICHARD PARKER
It's time for action.

Richard Parker explains Jennifer his next move.


INT: Channel `C' office- DAY

Jennifer sits before DOUG MCDOWELL,50years,production executive of the 
channel `C', a company famous for producing true crime stories. The 
letters "Channel `C' and `C' for crime" is printed across the wall in 
bold letters.
Photographs from their successful weekly crime show "Truth is stranger 
than fiction" are pasted on the wall.     

				DOUG MCDOWELL
		I can spare only ten minutes. Make it short.

				JENNIFER PARKER
		It's about my husband Richard Parker. 

				DOUG MCDOWELL
Oh. Come on. I need crime story for my show and I read every murder 
happening in the country.

				JENNIFER PARKER
He didn't commit the murder. He lied to get publicity to sell his 
novel.

 				DOUG MCDOWELL
		Interesting.

				JENNIFER PARKER
He needs your help to pull this off successfully. We knew the identity 
of the killer. It's the Candy man who killed five children. The only 
way to catch him is to make him commit another murder and catch him red 
handed.

		DOUG MCDOWELL
Why? Me? There are police and press.

 		JENNIFER PARKER
Police is happy with the theory that my husband is the killer. We think 
the visual media is more effective than the print media. We want to 
film the candy man committing another murder and show it live to the 
whole world in one of your "Truth is stranger than fiction" episode. 
It'll be a short cut to prove my husband's innocence.

		DOUG MCDOWELL
Well. Where's he now? The Candy man.

		JENNIFER PARKER
He's on world tour.

		DOUG MCDOWELL
And his identity?

		JENNIFER PARKER
His name is Mike Gordon. He's a partner in a toy factory.

		DOUG MCDOWELL
We'll do a little research and if we believe the set up is okay, we'll 
contact you.  
					    	
INT:COURT ROOM - DAY 

Judge and the Juries have occupied their seats and Richard Parker is 
seated behind the witness desk. 		                                           

				PROSECUTION
Richard Parker is an irresponsible and careless person. I'd like to 
recite an incident. 	

INT: UPSTAIRS ROOM IN RICHARD PARKER'S HOME - NIGHT                                     

Richard Parker is working on his novel in the middle of the night. The 
whole world is silent and he writes on.

		SCREECCCHHHHHH. SSCCCCRRRECCCCH.

He stops writing and looks up.

		SCRRRRREEEECCCHHHHHH. SCCCCCRRRRECCCHHHHHH.

He looks around.     

		SCRRREEEECCCCHHHHHHH. SCRRRRCCCHHHHHH.

He throws a paperweight at the corner of the room. He waits for 
sometime. Then he starts to write.

		SCRRRECCCCHHHHHHH. SCREEECHHHHHHHHHHH.

				RICHARD PARKER
		Bloody cricket.

He gets up from the chair, walks around the room, searches behind the 
cupboards, looks under the carpet, makes sound on the walls and windows 
and rearranges the furniture. Then he sits on the chair and starts to 
write.

		SCREECHHHHHH. SCRECCCCCCCHHHHH.

				RICHARD PARKER
		Shit.

He walks downstairs to his writing room and starts to write.

		SCREECCHHHH. SCRECCCCHHHHHHHH.

He puts the chair and table in the lawn, fits the table lamp and starts 
to write. 

		SCREECHHHHHH. SCREEECCCHHHH.

He gets up from the chair, runs to the upstairs room. He clicks open a 
lighter. 

									    	CUT TO

He sits on the chair in the lawn and writes. He writes one page and 
there is no screecccchhhhhh sound. In the background, the upstairs room 
is ablaze. He continues writing. Jennifer runs towards him.

				JENNIFER PARKER
		Richie. Richie. Our house is on fire.

He continues writing. Jennifer comes near him and shakes him.

				JENNIFER PARKER
		Richie. Richie. Richie

Neighbors come running towards their house.
  
				A NEIGHBOUR.
JENNY. What happens? Have you called the fire fighters?

				PROSECUTION
He lighted his upstairs room for a silly cricket that made noise 
disturbing his writing. And there's another incident.

INT: WRITER'S CONFERENCE - DAY

Richard Parker reads a passage from his novel to a group of writers 
present in the hall. After he read, a young woman writer gets up from 
the chair. 

				WOMAN WRITER
It reads like an outline. I need more description. I can say it is a 
loosely written piece. 

Richard Parker walks towards her and slaps straight across her face. 
	
				RICHARD PARKER
HOW DARE YOU SAY MY NOVEL IS LOOSELY WRITTEN PIECE? DON'T YOU KNOW IT'S 
WRITTEN IN A RACY STYLE.IN THIS PORTION, MY PROTAGONIST IS CHASING THE 
CULPRIT AND IT'S NOT THE TIME TO BE DESCRIPTIVE? OKAY?	

Other writers get up from the chair and run towards them.
Richard Parker walks out of the conference hall.


				PROSECUTION
		He wrote novel in the office and made mistakes.

INT: FRASER GAMES SOFTWARE - DAY  

Richard Parker is writing a story in a word processor. His co-worker 
comes by his side.

				CO-WORKER
		Rich. Boss wants to see you.

Richard Parker continues typing on the keyboard.

				CO-WORKER
		RICH.

				CO-WORKER
		RICHARD PARKER.

				CO-WORKER (Louder)
		RICHARD PARKER. BOSS WANTS TO SEE YOU.
                
Richard Parker gets up from the chair as if waking from a dream. He 
looks around sheepishly. 

				RICHARD PARKER
		Sorry. Guys.

He walks towards the boss cabin and opens the door.

				RICHARD PARKER
		What's up?

				JOHN FRASER
		Look here.

He turns his computer monitor towards him. He presses the arrow key and 
a car runs at high speed on the road. Suddenly a sign appears on the 
road. "ROAD CLOSED. BRIDGE UNDER REPAIR." Fraser presses the spacebar.

				JOHN FRASER
		The car should jump and cross over the bridge.
		But.

The car explodes into pieces in the midair.

				JOHN FRASER
		You have overlooked a mistake.

				RICHARD PARKER
		Sorry.

				JOHN FRASER
		I know you're losing concentration in your job.
I understand your feelings. You want to be a writer. Okay. Why waste 
your time here? Leave off. Go to your home or a park and write and 
write and write. I need a graphics animator and not a writer. Okay?

				PROSECUTION
He made an accident.	    	

EXT: ROAD - DAY

Richard Parker is driving a car, leaving office for home.

Richard Parker is lying in a hospital bed. His left hand is covered in 
bondage. Jennifer enters the room.

				RICHARD PARKER
I've decided. I'm going to quit the job. I need two years to complete a 
novel and publish it. I know I've the potential.
		
				PROSECUTION
		The deal failed.

EXT: FARM HOUSE-DAY     

				JENNIFER
I lost my job. I'm pregnant. It's high time you return back to your 
normal life and quit your writing carrier.

		PROSECUTION
Richard Parker was desperate. His mission failed. He had to return back 
to his daytime job.

                                          CUT TO

EXT: FARM HOUSE - NIGHT

Richard Parker dumps all the manuscripts, books about writing career 
and rejection slips and burns them all.

				PROSECUTION
He was returning home. He destroyed all his manuscripts. He remembered 
giving one manuscript to Sandra, the bookshop owner. He stopped the car 
before the workshop. He walked inside the shop and there he got into 
argument with Sandra and finally he shot her and three people had seen 
it.  
  
										CUT TO

Michael Lewis stands in the witness stand. He looks at Richard Parker.

				MICHAEL LEWIS
		Yes. I saw him killing her.

										CUT TO

Hand cuffed terrorist stretches out his handcuffed hands to point at 
Richard Parker.

				TERRORIST
		He did it.
										CUT TO

Rose Gordon stands in the witness stand and stares at Richard Parker.

				ROSE GORDON
		He killed her. He shot her with his gun.

INT: COURT ROOM - DAY

				JUDGE
Richard Parker broke the rule that writers are intellectual people. 
They can also be hardcore criminals like him. The prosecution clearly 
established his highly volatile and violent nature. I highly condemn 
his act of barbarism and highhandedness. It's senseless to destroy a 
precious human life because of some silly argument over a fictitious 
character in a novel. It's baseless and stupid and I sentence him.

CLOSE UP 

				JUDGE
		TO DEATH.

INT: CHANNEL `C' - DAY

				SECRETARY
		Doug. Call from Thailand.

				DOUG MCDOWELL
		Hi. Dennis. How're things?

				DENNIS HARDLEY
		I got this guy Mike in a hotel. He's sex fiend.

				DOUG MCDOWELL
		Continue.

				DENNIS HARDLEY
He stays in his room for the whole day. He sleeps and eats foods rich 
in calories. At 9.00 in the night, he ordered guess what?

		DOUG MCDOWELL

		DENNIS HARDLEY
Oh. No. Viagra tablets.

		DOUG MCDOWELL

		DENNIS HARDLEY

				DOUG MCDOWELL
If he did this all in America, we can catch him. I don't know the laws 
of Thailand. The case is very weak. Den. We can't link all the murders 
with his sexual acts in a hotel room in Thailand. Okay?

		DENNIS HARDLEY
Like this writer guy says, we can lure him to commit another murder in 
America.

		DOUG MCDOWELL
Impossible. Do you believe he'll molest another child and kill her 
after somebody wrote a book about him? If he needs to satisfy his 
perversion, he can simply fly to Thailand or other countries and gets 
what he wanted.
 
		DENNIS HARDLEY
But I want to punish him. I want to castrate him. I want to shoot him, 
hang him, knife him and mug him.

		DOUG MCDOWELL
Listen Den. We are not police officers. We are producers of a crime 
show and we can work on a story, which has a promise.

		DENNIS HARDLEY
Fuck off.

INT: HOTEL ROOM - DAY

Mike Gordon is typing on his laptop. The door opens and Dennis walks 
inside. Mike Gordon looks up from his laptop.

						DENNIS HARDLEY
				Excuse me.

						MIKE GORDON
				Yes.

						DENNIS HADLEY
				I want to take away the web camera.

						MIKE GORDON
				What?

Dennis walks straight and peels away the camera fitted to the cot, 
flower vases and table lamps.

						MIKE GORDON
 			Hey. What're you doing?

Dennis comes near him and spits on his face.

						DENNIS HARDLEY
				I hate you.

He punches on his face and Mike Gordon falls backwards and crashes on 
the floor along with the chair. Dennis walks out and slams the door 
shut.

INT: CHANNEL `C' - DAY

Doug McDowell calls his secretary.

				DOUG MCDOWELL
Hi. Call this dame Jennifer and tells her that we're not interested in 
her case anymore and we need something solid to back her story.		 


INT: Richard Parker's Cell                            DAY

The warden opens the cell and inside Richard Parker is ready for the 
death. He has washed and combed his hair and his face remains 
expressionless. 

He comes out of the room. The execution officer is waiting outside. 
They all walk silently in the corridor. 

Richard Parker, Execution officer and the Warden enter a small hall 
where people from press, representative from Sheriff's office and a 
physician are present. 

Richard Parker walks towards the bed in the center of the hall that has 
fitted with clamps for holding armpits and ankles. He climbs on the bed 
and positions himself.

The executioner comes forward and attaches IV near the bed. A monitor 
is attached to show the heartbeats. Then he finds the nerve in the 
wrist and using a syringe he attaches the IV. Then he injects a 
sedative in the IV. 

Few minute after he adds a lethal dose of barbiturate in the IV. 
Richard Parker closes his eyes. Slowly his body starts to show the 
effects of the drug. His face loses its charm and it becomes hard and 
grim. 

The monitor shows the decrease in the heartbeats. There is a sudden 
increase in the graph in the monitor screen and his body involuntarily 
shakes for a moment. Then it becomes motionless. The physician comes 
forward and checks his pulse. 

				THE EXECUTIONER
				He's dead.




 INTERMISSION





Laptop computer screen goes blank.

INT: RICHARD PARKER'S CELL - DAY
  
Laptop computer screen goes blank and Richard Parker switches off the 
computer.

				RICHARD PARKER
		Hope this won't become true.


INT: JAIL'S VISITOR'S ROOM - DAY

				JENNIFER PARKER
		One more bad news.

				RICHARD PARKER
		And it's from Channel `C'

				JENNIFER PARKER
Yeah. They feel the idea is far fetched. To lure the killer to commit 
another crime and catch him red handed.

				RICHARD PARKER
		Kind of rejection letter.

				JENNIFER PARKER
I'm so depressed. Richie. Go tell the world that you didn't commit the 
crime.
 
				RICHARD PARKER
		No one will believe me. 

				JENNIFER PARKER
Then what's plan? Are you going to die?

				RICHARD PARKER
		I'm going to try another source.


INT:JAIL'S DINING ROOM - DAY

Convicts stand in a queue to get their meals. Richard Parker gets his 
meal, walks towards BILL JONES, 30 years and sits next to him.
				  
				RICHARD PARKER
		Hi. Bill. How's life?

		   		BILL JONES
		Shut up your mouth. You asshole.

				RICHARD PARKER
		I don't take much of this food. Help yourself.

He pushes the plate to his side.

Bill Jones takes the plate and slams it on Richard Parker

				BILL JONES
		FUCK OFF

He leaves the dining room. Richard runs to the washbasin and washes his 
face. Another convict joins him.

				CONVICT
Leave him alone. Boy. He's a loner and a very frustrated guy. Sometimes 
I saw him crying. Kind of Psycho, I think. Killed three or four 
prostitutes. 
 
INT: VAST HALL IN JAIL - DAY

Convicts assemble in the hall and an old man lectures on Yoga. Richard 
Parker sits next to Bill Jones. 

				RICHARD PARKER
		Sorry for the incidence in the hall.

Bill Jones remains silent.

				RICHARD PARKER
I know how frustrating it would be. I feel the same if I'm deprived of 
my pen and paper. It applies for the photographers also. They'll feel
depressed if they don't have a camera.

Bill Jones looks at his direction.

Richard Parker opens his hand and shows a small digital camera.		
	

				BILL JONES
		You're a great guy. How I need a camera.

				RICHARD PARKER
		It's yours. Take it.

INT:JAIL  - DAY

Bill Jones and Richard Parker are doing carpentry works.

				RICHARD PARKER
		Want drugs?

				BILL JONES
		Hey. You're joking. It's impossible.

				RICHARD PARKER
		I can smuggle it inside.

				BILL JONES
		How?

				RICHARD PARKER
I think you've kitchen duty tomorrow. Get sugar cubes and store in your 
cell.

		BILL JONES
Sugar cubes?

		RICHARD PARKER
Do what I say. Brother.

INT:JAIL'S VISITOR'S HALL - DAY

Jennifer Parker is waiting at the other side of the cross wire frame.

				RICHARD PARKER
		Jen. I need your help. I want drugs.

				JENNIFER PARKER
		What?

				RICHARD PARKER
Please don't ask questions. I need it for a project.

				JENNIFER PARKER
		Okay. Where can I get it?

				RICHARD PARKER
		I did a little bit research for my novel.
I saved the addresses of the people who sell drugs in my web folder. 
You open it and find it.
You know the password?

		JENNIFER PARKER
Yeah.

		RICHARD PARKER
Then don't forget to bring a sugar cubes along with drugs.
 
				JENNIFER PARKER
		What? Sugar cube?

				RICHARD PARKER
		Yeah.

INT: JAIL'S LAUNDRY - DAY

Bill Jones is filling clothes in a huge washing machine			
	
				RICHARD PARKER
		Today you'll get drugs.

				BILL JONES
		How?

				RICHARD JONES
		You got the sugar?

				BILL JONES
		Yeah.

				RICHARD PARKER		
		Spill it from your cell to the visitor's room.

EXT: JAIL  - NIGHT

Jennifer Parker parks her car at a distance and dumps a can containing 
huge ants behind a bush. The ants look white as they are coated with 
powder of heroin. The ants smell sugar and moves towards it in a line. 

INT: BILL JONE'S CELL - NIGHT

Bill Jones first notices ants entering his cell in a line.
His face brightens. He picks one ant and puts it in a water can. The 
drug dissolves and the ant becomes black. He puts another ant inside 
the can.

INT: JAIL'S KITCHEN - DAY

Richard Parker is cutting vegetables. Bill Jones walks to his side and 
slaps hard on his back

				BILL JONES
		You're a great guy.

				RICHARD PARKER
		You got the drugs?

				BILL JONES
		Yeah. You're brilliant.

				RICHARD PARKER
		Thanks.
 
				BILL JONES
		But I've a question.

				RICHARD PARKER
		Shoot.

				BILL JONES
		Why this sudden helping tendency?

				RICHARD PARKER
Know? We're different from others. We're artists. I'm a writer and you 
are a photographer. Understand?

				BILL JONES
		Okay.
 
				RICHARD PARKER
		And another thing? I plan to move to your room.

				BILL JONES
I don't think they'll allow you. They branded me as a psycho. 

		RICHARD PARKER
I convinced the warden.  

EXT:JAIL  -  DAY

An ambulance stops before the jail and a woman doctor and a male nurse 
get off. The sentry checks the doc and nurse and let them in. They walk 
towards the warden room.

				WARDEN
		Welcome. Doc.

				DOCTOR
		I'm in a hurry. Is the patient ready?

				WARDEN
		Oh. Come on.
					
They walk in the corridor.

				WARDEN
The prison doc was unable to stop the pain. So we need the help of 
specialist like you.

		DOCTOR
You keep him on diet?

		WARDEN 	    
		Oh. yeah.

They enter a small room, guarded by two sentries. 	
Richard Parker is lying on the bed.
	
				DOCTOR
		I need the case history.

Warden searches it on the table.
Male nurse moves near the doc and grabs her hand.

				MALE NURSE
		Hi. Wardi.

Warden turns and gets a shock for his life term.

				WARDEN
		Hey. What're you doing?

				MALE NURSE
Have you heard pen bomb?    				

He removes a pen from his shirt pocket.
He shows it to the Warden.

				MALE NURSE
If I just press it, the doc and I will go BANG. Want to test?

				WARDEN
		No.

				MALE NURSE
Then release the prisoner. He walks in the front. You and the sentries 
follow him. The doc and I trail you. If you do any mischief, I will 
press the pen and the bomb goes off.

		DOCTOR
Please do what he says. He's not a nurse. 
He's been hiding in my car and threatened me to explode the bomb if I 
disobeyed him. 	

Richard Parker walks in the front. The sentries and the warden follow 
him and the doc and nurse walk closely behind them. 

One sentry, without turning and walking straight, reverses the gun and 
presses the trigger. The bullet hits the arm of the nurse and he cries 
in pain and drops the pen.

The doc wriggles her hand free and runs forward. The sentry turns and 
shoots the nurse. Another sentry runs fast and catches Richard Parker. 
The nurse falls on the pen and it explodes. The body parts fly in the 
air killing all six people. 

The laptop computer screen goes blank.
 
INT: BILL JONE'S CELL - DAY

The laptop computer screen goes blank. 

			BILL JONES
		It looks so real. I love it. I love death.

			RICHARD PARKER
		Thanks. It's my hobby.
 
			BILL JONES
		How did you get this laptop?
		
			RICHARD PARKER
Said I'm a writer and need to write in a word processor and got the 
sanction. 

			BILL JONES
Got anything else? Nude pictures and fucking pictures?

			RICHARD PARKER
		No. But got death pictures.

			BILL JONES  
         Death pictures?

			RICHARD PARKER
Down loaded it from Dark Angel.com. Shows pictures of men and woman in 
the last moment of their life. Kinda sick. But I watch it often.

			BILL JONES

	RICHARD PARKER

	RICHARD PARKER

It's a long story and the Dark Angel.com landed me here in Jail. 
	
	RICHARD PARKER

	BILL JONES.
I love to take photos. I worked as a freelancer and photographed 
flowers, nature and pets. One day I photographed an accident and 
published it in a local newspaper. Next day, I got a call from a guy 
named George Baker.
	
			RICHARD PARKER
He's a doc and he owns Dark Angel.com.

         		BILL JONES.
He brought the negatives of the photos for a huge amount.

	RICHARD PARKER
Then he prompted you to work for his website.

	BILL JONES
Yes. The pay is good. I've to take care of my sweet little daughter and 
my beautiful wife.

	RICHARD PARKER 
But you've to take death photographs.

 			BILL JONES
I've to hide near deathbeds in the hospital and photograph patients 
while they're dying. It's sick but the money compensates everything. 
Sometimes I hide a video camera when the doc needs films.

	RICHARD PARKER
You cover deaths outside hospitals?

	BILL JONES
Yeah. Mainly accidents. Sometimes I get a call from graveyards.

	RICHARD PARKER
Oh.
 			 
			BILL JONES
It was one such a call from a graveyard that completely changed my 
life.

	RICHARD PARKER
Come on. Tell me.

INT: GRAVE YARD - NIGHT

It is raining heavily. Bill Jones stops the car and gets down. He runs 
towards a small shed where caretaker is waiting for him.

			BILL JONES
		What's it now?

			CARE TAKER
  		A murder.

			BILL JONES
		What?

			CARE TAKER
A rich guy killed someone and wanted to dispose the body. He bribed me 
and I helped him to bury the body without a death certificate.

	BILL JONES
Where's it?

They take the shovel and run in the rain. Caretaker points the burial 
spot and they both start to dig. They take out the casket and load it 
in the car.

The only link is graveyard man. But he didn't know much detail. The man 
was wearing a raincoat and he couldn't see his face.

The doc didn't try?

	BILL JONES
He placed my daughter photo in the website. He thought the killer would 
see it and contact him.
But we didn't receive any calls from the killer.
 
	RICHARD PARKER
What did you do with the body?

	BILL JONES
The doc didn't want to destroy it. He included it in his collection. He 
said he saw dark angel in my daughter's face.
	
	RICHARD PARKER
Why didn't you confess everything to the police?

	BILL JONES
I don't have the energy and power to expose them. It's a cyber crime; 
they can erase everything in a second and escape. No evidence and no 
proof.
					
			RICHARD PARKER
		And then Kenneth contacted you?

			BILL JONES
Yes. He's also lost his daughter. He included my daughter in his book.
 	
			RICHARD PARKER
		Then you started killing the prostitutes.

			BILL JONES
As I became more reclusive and secretive, my wife got suspicious and 
divorced me. I resigned my job at the hospital and roamed around like a

Doug McDowell is reading a file in his cabin. Intercom buzzes.
			RECETIONIST

Doug McDowell is in bed with his girlfriend. She switches the T.V and 
inserts a CD

T.V SCREEN

A masked man is stripping naked. He puts a condom on his erect penis. 
He makes love to a woman. Then he gets up and removes the condom and 
throws it away. Richard Parker catches the condom and walks to a fridge 
and opens it. A body of he naked child is inside. He takes out a test 
tube and compares it with the condom.

			RICHARD PARKER
		Richard Parker got the sperm of the Candy man.

Doug McDowell gets up from bed.

			DOUG MCDOWELL
		Where did you get this?

A woman enquires about your hobbies and interests. I told her you love

INT:HOSPITAL MATERNITY WARD - DAY

Jennifer is lying in bed after a cesarean operation. A cute little male 
baby is sleeping in the cradle.

INT:HOSPITAL CORRIDOR - DAY

Handcuffed Richard Parker is walking along with two prison guards. They 
stop before Jennifer's room. The door opens and a nurse comes out.

			NURSE
		Sorry. Mr.Richard. Your wife refused to see you.
		She asked us not to show the baby to you.

			RICHARD PARKER
		What?

			NURSE
		Please. Move off.

			RICHARD PARKER
		Jen. Are you there? What's all these?

			JENNIFER PARKER (inside the room)
Please move away. I hate the sight of you. You are an irresponsible 
bastard. You are a cheat, liar. I hate you. I HATE YOU. 

EXT: HIGHWAY-DAY

Police car races on road. Richard Parker is seated between the two 
prison guards. A black car overtakes the police car, comes to the front 
and blocks the road. The police car screeches to halt. 

Three people wearing a mask jump out from the black car. The prison 
guards remove their gun, roll up the window and point the gun at the 
masked men. One guy throws a bomb and a thick white smoke envelope the 
police car. They walk inside the smoke. Soon after they come out of the 
smoke, carrying Richard Parker. 


T.V SCREEN

Channel `C' and `C' for crime.

			ANNOUNCER
WRITER'S WIFE SNUBS THE WRITER. REFUSES TO SHOW HIM THE BABY.

INT: RICHLY FURNISHED BEDROOM - NIGHT  

A topless woman kisses Richard Parker in the forehead. Richard wakes 
from sleep and surprised to see a naked woman before him. He gets up 
from bed, pushing her off.

			RICHARD PARKER
		Hey. Who are you?

			TOPLESS WOMAN
		The gift.

			RICHARD PARKER
		I don't understand.

			TOPLESS WOMAN
I'm the gift presented to you by Mr.Doug Mcdowell.

	RICHARD PARKER
Doug? He arranged the kidnapping.

Jennifer is nursing the baby

			DOUG MCDOWELL
		You've to sign these papers.	

He pushes some papers.
			
JENNIFER PARKER

			DOUG MCDOWELL
		Your divorce papers.

			JENNIFER PARKER
		What?

			DOUG MCDOWELL
		Add more spice to the real life drama.

			JENNIFER PARKER

The baby starts to cry.

			DOUG MCDOWELL

INT: AUDITORIUM - NIGHT

The hall is full. Richard Parker is seated between two prison guards. 
Jennifer Parker, Publisher and agent occupy the other seats. 'C' 
Channel Doug McDowell stands at the podium and stats the speech.

			DOUG MCDOWELL
In today's episode of "Truth is stranger than fiction", we will discuss 
the case of Richard Parker. You all know Richard Parker as a writer but 
I know him as a private investigator. Today he was branded as murderer 
and he is awaiting death sentence.

The huge screen behind the stage comes alive and shows the picture of 
Richard Parker being brought to court by police officers.

			DOUG MCDOWELL
But I know he was not the murderer. He didn't kill that woman Sandra. 
He's innocent.

The whole room becomes silent with shock.

			DOUG MCDOWELL
		But he says he committed the crime.

Screen shows the newspaper headlines. 

WRITER SAYS HE KILLS SANDRA OVER AN ARGUMENT ABOUT A CHARACTER IN HIS 
BOOK.

			DOUG MCDOWELL
		Why? Why he says he committed the murder.

Screen shows the face of the Richard Parker in tight close-up.

			DOUG MCDOWELL
He and Sandra were on the track of the serial killer Candy man. The 
Candy man killed Sandra and the next victim would be him. He thought 
that the safe place to hide was jail.

Screen shows a man in silhouette with a title Candy man.

			DOUG MCDOWELL
Next thing is to prove how lazy and corrupt the police people are. They 
just believed his words and didn't probe further.

Screen shows the face of the police officer John Hansen.

DOUG MCDOWELL
And to gather more information about the Candy man from the victim's 
father Bill Jones who is in jail for killing prostitutes.

Bill Jones face appears on the screen.

DOUG MCDOWELL
and to write and write and write without any interference.

Richard Parker types in his laptop.

			DOUG MCDOWELL
And there were three witnesses for the murder he didn't commit. But 
they were all liars. 

In screen;
			MICHAEL LEWIS
I told them the truth that a masked man has killed Sandra. But the 
Police officer didn't believe it. He said I was under the influence of 
alcohol and confused the writer with the masked man. He asked me to 
change my statement.
		
			TERRORIST
I need money. It's a hidden message I sent to the killer. I expected a 
call from him. If he had contacted me, I'd have asked him money to 
repeat the lie.

			ROSE GORDON
Yes. I lied. I didn't want him to escape. He could buy the other two 
witnesses but not me. 
So I came forward, lied and sealed his escape route forever.

BACK TO SCENE
	DOUG MCDOWELL
He kept his mission secret even though it cost his family life. He 
feared any leak would alert the Candy man. He didn't care when his wife 
refused to show the baby and he didn't break down when his wife 
divorced him.  

Richard Parker put a finger on his mouth and makes KEEP SILENT gesture.

			DOUG MCDOWELL
Now the million-dollar question. Did he find the identity of the Candy 
man? No. But he finds the sperm of the Candy Man.

George Baker, a doc who owns the Dark angel website and collects 
pictures of death as hobby accidentally came across the body of one of 
the victim, the daughter of Bill Jones. He collected the sperm and 
stored the body. At this point, Richard needed outside help. We agreed 
to help him and he told us everything.

Channel `C' and `C' for crime.

	DOUG MCDOWELL
I tipped of the police and they have conducted the raid and captured 
the Candy man victim's body and his sperm.

Screen shows the raid and a police officer opens a box and it contains 
the dead body of a small child. Another police officer inspects a small 
test tube containing the sperms of the Candy man.

			DOUG MCDOWELL    
But Richard didn't want to stop here. He wanted to catch him in the 
act. He wanted to lure him to commit another crime. He supplied us with 
the email id of the Candy man. We sent him mails in the name of a five 
year old child.

T.V Screen:

Little hands typing on the keyboard.

Dad. I miss you.

Sorry. You've wrongly dispatched a mail. I'm not your father.

Did not you help me to find my father?

Where's your father?

He went to live with another woman.

			DOUG MCDOWELL
Slowly we got him in a chat room. We talked in private. We asked him 
for a live meet. He was silent for some time. Luckily he agreed to come 
today.

In screen:

Typed words.

Okay. We meet tomorrow at 6:00 p.m.

			DOUG MCDOWELL
		Look at the screen.

A profile of small child appears on the screen.

DOUG MCDOWELL
This girl is meeting the Candy Man. You may wonder why sent a little 
girl to a killer like Candy Man. She's not a little girl and she's the 
victim of stunned growth and her age is 28.

Screen shows the midget woman dressed as a little girl.

DOUG MCDOWELL
When I started the speech the time was 6:10 and I got the message from 
my team that they've caught the Candy man red handed. Now look at the 
screen.

In the Screen, channel `C' appears.

A car stops before a cottage. The time is exactly 6:00. A man wearing a 
mask gets down from the car. He walks straight inside the cottage. Two 
minutes after, midget dressed in little girl dress, wearing mask enter 
the cabin.

			MASKED MAN
		Hi. Why you're wearing a mask?

			MIDGET
		I ask you the same question.

			MASKED MAN
A little bit of suspense. I'll remove it when we say good-bye.
  
MIDGET
Okay it's a deal. I too show my face when we part.

MASKED MAN
You look gorgeous in this dress. Who brought this?

	MIDGET
My mother. But she didn't buy me new underwear.

	MASKED MAN
Why?

	MIDGET
She asked me to use the old one. But I don't like using it. New dress 
new underwear. What do you say? 

	MASKED MAN
A good policy.

	MIDGET

The screen goes dark.

	 		MIDGET
		Hi. What're you doing? Help. No.

The masked man comes out the cabin zipping up his pant. Police people 
and `C' channel guys start chasing him. 
He runs on the road. He enters a multi-storied building. 

Another team consoles the midget. The forensic team collects the sperm 
from the used condom and making tests.

A forensic guy shows a v sign

			FORENSIC GUY
It tallies with the sperm collected in the Darkangel.com. It's him. 
He's the Candy Man. 
	

INSERT

THE CANDY MAN ESCAPES. THOUGH THEY SEAL EVERY EXIT OF THE MULTI STORIED 
BUILDING AND SEARCH EVERY PERSON IN THE BUILDING, THEY COULDN'T FIND 
THE CANDY MAN. HE IS STILL AT LARGE.

			THREE MONTHS LATER

JUDEGE CONDEMNS THE POLICE FOR THEIR INACTIVENESS AND RELEASES THE 
WRITER FROM MURDER ACCUSATION ON BENEFIT OF DOUBT.

INT: CHANNEL `C' OFFICE - DAY

			RICHARD PARKER
		There are so many unanswered questions.

			DOUG MCDOWELL
		Shoot.

			RICHARD PARKER
		I didn't give you the email id of the Candy Man.

			DOUG MCDOWELL
It's a set up. Do you think you can make a hard core criminal like 
Candy man to come after a girl child by exchange of emails? No. It's 
impossible. He's not the Candy Man and he's doing stunts in movies. He 
went up the multi-storied building and jumped to the next building and 
escaped.
		         
			RICHARD PARKER
		And matching of sperms?

			DOUG MCDOWELL
Simple. Money exchanged and the Dark angel doc George baker changed the 
sperm with that of the stunt man. 

   			RICHARD PARKER
I feel guilty. The Candy man is still at large. He may kill another 
child.

	DOUG MCDOWELL
First think about you. If it were not for us, you'd have been injected 
lethal dose by now.	

EXT: NEWLY BUILT MANSION - DAY

Jennifer stops the car in the portico.
				
			JENNIFER PARKER
		How's it?

			RICHARD PARKER
		Looking grand.

			JENNIFER PARKER
I've built a writing room for you. It has a swimming pool, revolving 
library, mini theatre and a computer workstation.

			RICHARD PARKER
		I think I couldn't write.

			JENNIFER PARKER
		Why? Richie.

			RICHARD PARKER
Writer's block. I've not written a single word in the three months. 
Just I can't.
	
			JENNIFER PARKER
		Why? Richie.

	   		RICHARD PARKER
I'm so upset. I feel heavy in my heart. 
I know I can't write until I catch this Candy Man.

	JENNIFER PARKER

INT: RICHARD'S ROOM - DAY

Richard Parker sits in a chair and writes in a note pad with a computer 
pen. What he writes on the note pad displays on a huge screen in a 
glittering bold letters.

THOMSON BROKE THE WINDOW AND JUMPED 

He strikes it

THOMSON MADE A HEAVY PUNCH ON THE WINDOW AND THE GLASS

He erases the line and throws the pen away.
He walks around the swimming pool.
CATHY, five years old girl, enters the room.

			RICHARD PARKER
		Hi. Little girl. Who're you?

			CATHY
		Cathy. I'm your neighbor.
 
RICHARD PARKER
		Your father?

			CATHY
		I live alone.

			RICHARD PARKER

			CATHY
		My father comes only at 9:00.

BABYSITTER comes inside the room. She looks tense.

Richard Parker looks up from a computer.

		She's missing.

Babysitter starts crying.

		Have you searched all the places?

			BABYSITTER

She may be hiding in a room. Come on. Let's check every nook and 
corner. 

INT: CATHY'S HOME - DAY

Richard Parker looks under the cot and sofa sets. Jennifer opens the 
cupboard and checks inside. Babysitter searches in the kitchen.

			RICHARD PARKER
		CATHY. CATHY. WHERE ARE YOU?

			BABYSITTER
		CATHY. PLEASE COME OUT.

			JENNIFER PARKER
		CATHY. CATHY.

They search in the garden. They look behind trees and bushes.

			RICHARD PARKER
		It's serious. Let's call her father and police.


INT: CATHY'S HOME - DAY

Police officer is sending Cathy's photo over fax to control room. 

			POLICE OFFICER
The child has been missing for two hours. If she has been kidnapped, 
the culprit would have traveled two hundred to two fifty kilometers. 
Draw 300 km radius circle in the map and circulate this photo to every 
pub, coffee shop, bar and motel in this area.  
			
Cathy's father runs inside.

			CATHY'S FATHER
		What happened? Where's Cathy?

			RICHARD PARKER
She's been missing. But don't lose heart. She'll be found.

Police officer is making calls. Cathy's father is praying.
Richard Parker, Jennifer and Babysitter sit in the sofa, with a worried 
face.

An old woman enters, followed by Cathy.

Cathy runs towards her dad.

			CATHY
		Daddy. Daddy.

Cathy's father stops his prayer and opens his eyes.	
He lifts her up and showers kisses on her. 

			CATHY'S FATHER
		Cathy. Cathy. Where've you been?

			CATHY
		I went to the park to catch butterflies.

			OLD WOMAN
I found her sleeping behind a bush. Luckily she remembered her way to 
her home.	

				
INT: RICHARD PARKER'S HOME - NIGHT

			JENNIFER PARKER
		I'm more relaxed now. Cathy has been found.

			RICHARD PARKER
		If it's otherwise.

			JENIFER PARKER
		I shudder to think.

			RICHARD PARKER
FOR SOME OF THEM, THEIR CHILD NEVER BEEN FOUND OUT. THEY HAVE BEEN 
MISSING FOREVER.	

INT: RICHARD PARKER'S BEDROOM - NIGHT   

Richard Parker gets up from bed. She wakes Jennifer.
He shakes her shoulders.

			RICHARD PARKER
		Think about them. Jen.

			JENNIFER PARKER
		What? Richie. I want to sleep.

			RICHARD PATRKER
Think about those unlucky parents who lost their child to the Candy 
Man.

			JENNIFER PARKER
		Please calm down. Richie.

			RICHARD PARKER
How they would have suffered? For us it's two hours. For Cathy's 
father, it's one hour. For them, it's life long.
	
	JENNIFER PARKER
we can't do anything about it.

	RICHARD PARKER
We can at least stop him from giving another parent a lifelong sorrow.
	
	JENNIFER PARKER
I think you need sleeping pills.

Jennifer gets down from bed.

Richard Parker points the gun at Mike Gordon.

said she had dumped the child in a charity home. I went there and told 
the officials that I was the child's original father and I wanted to 
take care of the child. But they refused since I was low on wages. I 
tried to steal the child, caught and was handed over to the police.

I met them after I got a decent job. But they had handed over the child 
to a childless couple. I didn't want to disturb the child and I 
returned back to my normal life. I married Rose, became a toy merchant 
and well settled in life. Three years later, my daughter was in news. 
The Candy man killed her.

It made me angry and I wanted to find the real killer. I collected all 
the details about the Candy man and browsed child sex websites and

the book-signing event and decided to break the news that I was one of 
the victim's original father. I was tense as I was rehearsing the 
speech I was going to make after the book-signing event. But Sandra 
mistook it and thought that I was the Candy man. When she confronted me 
with a gun, I told her the truth.

INT: TOY SHOP - DAY

Sandra points the gun, takes an aim and shoots at him. Mike rolls on 
the floor and escapes from the shot. He gathers himself up and jumps 
behind a large rack containing toys. Sandra walks towards the rack 
pointing the gun. He pushes the rack and Sandra jumps aside. The rack 
lands down with a crash. 

Now there is no barrier in between Sandra and Mike. Sandra points the 
gun directly at him.

				MIKE GORDON
		Don't shoot me. I'll tell the truth.

				SANDRA
		Come on. Tell. Tell me you're the Candy man.

				MIKE GORDON
No. I'm the original father of a victim killed by the Candy man.

		SANDRA
What?

		MIKE GORDON
Yes. It's true.

		SANDRA
I believe you. I know you're not the Candy man. It's a toy gun.
 

She throws the gun away.


I purchased it from your shop. I don't have the   intention to shoot 
you. I just want to threaten you. If you're the killer of five 
children, your face will never show fear when I point the gun at you. 
Your face will harden and you will try to fight and not run away from 
me like you did. Your fear shows that you're not the killer.

INT: TOY FACTORY - DAY
		
				MIKE GORDON
I had suspicion on a certain person. I decided to watch him. I noted 
one point. His wife accompanies him.  Wherever he goes, she goes with 
him. Why? Is he in some way crippled? Always needs another person to 
take care of him. I followed him one day. 

INT: PARK  - EVENING                        

A man and his wife sitting in a park bench are shown in long shot. Wife 
is reading a book and the man watches the children playing. 

At one point, wife gets lost in the book and the man gets up from his 
seat and walks over to the children. He talks to a sweet little girl. 
Wife suddenly looks up, finds her husband talking to a little girl.

				WIFE
		YOU STUPID FOOL. COME HERE.

Man run towards her like a dog.  		

					MIKE GORDON
Then I knew. He's the Candy man. His wife is a psychiatrist. He is 
under her medical care. Even though she knew all his secrets, she fell 
in love with him and married him. As I've told everything to Sandra, 
she too would have guessed the truth. So the candy man killed her. But 
I got confused when you told you killed Sandra. I sent my wife and she 
told the police she was a witness to the murder. As expected, your wife 
approached her and accused her of lying. That proved you didn't kill 
Sandra.

		RICHARD PARKER
You said something about research?

		MIKE GORDON
I got order from Thailand to make sex toys for Thai people. Before I 
started on the project, I want to get the feel of their sex organs, 
size of the breasts and length of the penis etc. I recorded my feelings

Richard Parker sits before the computer. Jennifer stands behind him.

		I did the graphics art of the murder scene.

Sandra is alone in the bookshop reading a book. She closes the book, 
stands up and strolls towards a toilet in the corner of the room. The 
whole bookshop is empty. 

A man enters the bookshop. He looks around. Then he strides towards the 
staircase leading to the upper floor. He strolls up covering his face 
with a paper mask and opens the room, moves inside and hides behind an 
unopened book parcel. 

Sandra sails out of the toilet and walks towards her seat. She 
continues reading the book. Richard Parker enters the bookshop. He asks 
about the manuscript he has given to her for a read. 

Sandra saunters towards the staircase. The upstairs room is crammed 
with card board boxes, used packing materials, old book racks, 
discarded books, unopened book parcels and chairs and tables. She opens 
a cupboard and takes out a manuscript folder. 

A masked figure gets up behind an unopened parcel and shoots Sandra 
twice in the heart. 

The killer dashes out of the room, steps down and stops short on his 
path on seeing Richard Parker in the ground floor. 

At this moment, the cell phone of the killer buzzes. But he ignores it 
and pointing the gun at Richard, he climbs down.

He marches ahead, moves in a half circle around Richard, reverses and 
walks backwards towards the door all the while pointing the gun at him. 
The cell phone again rings as the killer disappears behind the door.    

Richard runs up the stairs and looks inside the room. Sandra is lying 
near the cupboard with blood splattered all over her chest. The pages 
from his novel are scattered around her. 


INT: RICHARD PARKER'S HOME - NIGHT

					RICHARD PARKER
			Now I replaced the killer by Mike Gordon.

He types the keys in his computer.

I called a person who owed me five thousand dollars. The killer 
appeared in the staircase and his cell phone rang. I accidentally 
touched the redial button and the again cell phone of the killer rang 
as he disappeared behind the door. I called a person who was just 
opposite me and unknowingly he was the killer, the candy man.

		JENNIFER PARKER
The Candy Man owed you five thousand dollars?

		RICHARD PARKER
He already paid five thousand dollars. He had to pay the balance 
amount.

		JENNIFER PARKER
For what?

		RICHARD PARKER
Okay. Jen.  Let's go to sleep.

		JENNIFER PARKER	
No. You're hiding something from me.

		RICHARD PARKER
No. Jen. I'm sort of confused.

		JENNIFER PARKER
Please. Richie. I think you've found the Candy man.

		RICHARD PARKER
No. I'm tired. A good sleep will help me think clear.

		JENNIFER PARKER
Please. Richie. Don't do anything stupid.

INT: Richard Parker's home                           DAY

Jennifer wakes up as she feels a soft flesh on her face.
She opens her eyes and shocked to see her baby lying by her side. She 
gets up as Richard takes gun out from the drawer. Jennifer jumps from 
the bed fast, runs to the door and blocks his way.

				JENNIFER PARKER
I know what you're going to do. 

Richard Parker pushes her off, walks out and slams the door shut. 
Jennifer knocks on the door.

				JENNIFER PARKER
Richie. Richie. Don't get involved in another murder.

Jennifer runs inside the room and dials a phone number. But the phone 
is dead.
 
				JENNIFER PARKER
		Shit

She tries other doors. All are locked. Now the baby starts to cry. She 
looks around. Baby food is neatly stacked in the table.

		

EXT: `C' CHANNEL STUDIO - DAY

Richard Parker stops the car and gets off fast. The guard stops him.

				SECURITY GUARD
		Do you have a pass?

				RICHARD PARKER
		It's urgent. 

He pushes him aside and runs inside. He reaches the reception.

				RICHARD PARKER
I'm late for the talk show. Where's it being recorded?

				RECEPTIONIST
		Third floor.


INT: RICHARD PARKER'S BEDROOM - DAY

Jennifer Richard presses the burglar alarm switch in the bedroom. 
Richard Parker forgets to turn it off. The alarm goes off.


INT: STUDIO FLOOR - DAY

Richard Parker pushes opens the door and enters inside.

				PRODUCTION ASSISTANT
		Hey. You're late for the show.

				RICHARD PARKER
		Caught in a traffic jam.

				PRODUCTION ASSISTANT
You look very tired. We need to slightly make up your face. Come on.

He takes him to a make up room. 	
		
INT: RICHARD PARKER'S BEDROOM - DAY

Police officers enter through the broken doors. Jennifer Parker sits on 
the bed with the baby in her lap. She looks tired.

				POLICE OFFICER
  		What happened?
 
				JENNIFER PARKER
Please stop my husband before he makes the killing.

		POLICE OFFICER
Where's he now?

		JENNIFER PARKER
He locked me up and went off to make the killing.

		POLICE OFFICER
Any idea where he'll be now?

Jennifer Parker face suddenly brightens up.

				JENNIFER PARKER
The computers. We can check it up. He'd have a done a graphics visual 
of the murderer. 	

They walk to his room. Jennifer sits before a computer.

				JENNIFER PARKER
Look. I am clicking on the most recent file he created.

She clicks it open.

COMPUTER MONITOR SCREEN

Sandra is alone in the bookshop reading a book. She closes the book, 
stands up and strolls towards a toilet in the corner of the room. The 
whole bookshop is empty. 

Doug McDowell enters the bookshop. He looks around. Then he strides 
towards the staircase leading to the upper floor. He strolls up 
covering his face with a paper mask and opens the room, moves inside 
and hides behind an unopened book parcel. 

Doug Mcdowell gets up behind an unopened parcel and shoots Sandra twice 
in the heart. 

Doug Mcdowell dashes out of the room, steps down and stops short on his 
path on seeing Richard Parker in the ground floor. 

				JENNIFER PARKER
Yes. He's the Candy Man. Richie is going to kill him.

		POLICE OFFICER
You're saying that Doug McDowell is the Candy Man.

		JENNIFER PARKER
Yes.

		POLICE OFFICER
Be careful. Mrs.Jennifer. He is in the media. He'll get us sued.

				JENNIFER PARKER
		No. It's true.

				POLICE OFFICER
		Sorry. Mrs.Jennifer. You're confused.

				JENNIFER PARKER
Okay. I'll call him and tell the truth. Give me your cell phone.

Police officer hands out his cell phone.
				

INT: STUDIO FLOOR - DAY

Doug McDowell is inspecting the set erected for the talk show as 
Richard Parker comes out from the make up room.
				
			DOUG MCDOWELL
		Hi.Rich. How come you're here?

			RICHARD PARKER
Though you didn't invite me, I decided to participate. I like the 
topic.

			DOUG MCDOWELL
Hey. You're already famous. It's for ordinary guys. But I can have you 
as my guest.

			RICHARD PAERKER
No. I'd like to present myself as one of the participant.

			DOUG MCDOWELL
		Okay. Then be a participant.

Secretary walks fast and hands Doug a cell phone.

			SECRETARY
		It's urgent. A woman is on the line.

She gives him the cordless phone.

			DOUG MCDOWELL
What? Your husband is going to kill me. Are you joking? He wants to 
participate in a talk show.
He's just standing opposite me.

He hands out the phone to Richard.

	RICHARD PARKER
No. Jen. It's not time for fun.
		
He closes the call and gives it back to Doug McDowell.

INT:TALK SHOW SET - DAY
  
				DOUG MCDOWELL
Today we're going to discuss about child sex offenders. I'd like to 
introduce the host 


Richard Parker gets from his chair and moves forward. He points the gun 
at the stage and shoots.


INT: RICHARD PARKER'S ROOM - DAY

			JENNIFER PARKER
		Something is very wrong.

			POLICE OFFICER
		We've already told you. You got it all wrong.

			JENNIFER PARKER
Wait a minute. My God. He'd have deleted the file. 

She clicked on the Recycle bin.

			JENNIFER PARKER
		It's not there.

			POLICE OFFICER
		You're wasting our time.

			JENNIFER PARKER
		Oh. There is this undelete option.

She retrieves all the files deleted recently.

			JENNIFER PARKER
		He deleted a file at 4.00 a.m.  
		
She clicked on it.

COMPUTER MONITOR SCREEN

Sandra is alone in the bookshop reading a book. She closes the book, 
stands up and walks to a toilet in the corner of the room. The whole 
bookshop is empty. 

JAMES KENNETH PATTERSON enters the bookshop. He looks around. 

INT: TALK SHOW SET - DAY

Richard Parker points the gun at Kenneth.

                 RICHARD PARKER
He's the candy man. He's a cheat. He didn't write the book. I wrote it 
for him. I am the ghostwriter of his book. His daughter is not his 
original daughter. He adopted her from a charity home. The person 
called, Mike Gordon is her original father. He didn't mention it in his 
book and it aroused the suspicion of the Mike and Sandra. He killed 
Sandra when she made enquiries about this.  He molested and killed her 
adopted daughter and wrote a book about her to get him off from the 
suspect list. He even arranged someone to shoot him in book signing 
session.


The bullets hit the host KENNETH JAMES PATTERSON and he dies 
instantaneously.
