ALIEN YOUTH
EPISODE 1 THE GAY COUPLE
V.O
We are now in a nation in which
people are no longer judged by
who we are as characters, but
judged by the things that we run
after such as money, popularity,
and sexual appetency. It is time
that we break away from these
shallow grounds and explore new
aspects of the world instead of
being locked into a world of
stereotypes. This is Alien Youth.
ROLL TV SHOW THEME VIDEO
FADE IN:
INT. JOSH'S ROOM - NIGHT
(WE SEE OUR MAIN CHARACTER JOSH SITTING AT A TABLE WRITING A
LETTER WITH TEARS RUNNING DOWN HIS EYES AND HE KEEPS LOOKING UP
EVERY FEW SECONDS AT A CABINET AND HAVING A LOOK THAT HE IS
DISTURBED DEEPLY.)

This is my life your probably
wondering how I got in this
situation... I've always been
hated by everyone my family,
students, teachers, and everybody
in the world... except...

EXT. COURTYARD - MORNING
(EVERYBODY IS HANGING OUT BEFORE SCHOOL STARTS AND WE SEE OUR
MAIN CHARACTERS JOSH AND KHAMBREL HANGING OUT ON A RISEN UP
BLOCK OF CEMENT SET APART FROM EVERYBODY ELSE THEY ARE HANGING
OUT TOGETHER AND ARE ACTUALLY A COUPLE. THE TWO ARE HOLDING
HANDS AND HAVING FUN AND TALKING ENJOYING THEMSELVES.)
KHAMBREL
You know out of everybody here at
this school you are the most
beautiful?
JOSH
No that's not true.
KHAMBREL
Why?
JOSH
Because you are.
KHAMBREL
Thats no fair you can't steal my
lines.
JOSH
Yeah I can.
(THE BELL RINGS AND THEY BOTH GET UP AND KHAMBREL KISSES JOSH'S
HAND AND WALKS OFF ARMs AROUND EACH OTHER.)
CROSS FADE TO:
INT. MR DEMISE'S CLASS - MORNING
(EVERYBODY IS SITTING DOWN WHEN MR. DEMISE WALKS IN AND WRITES
ON THE BOARD HOMOSEXUALITY AND THE CLASS STARTS TO TALK CONFUSED
NOT KNOWING WHATS GOING ON AND JOSH AND KHAMBREL LOOK AT EACH
OTHER.)
JOSH
Mr. Demise what is this?
MR. DEMISE
This is called bellwork and
recently on MTV if you guys have
been watching there was a
documentary on about
homosexuality asking if its
alright or not a lot of people
are saying that no it isn't
alright or yes it is alright
today we are going to be debating
about this but first from one
person I want to know is
homosexuality right or wrong?
KID
Yes it is because that's not how
we were made we were made to be
heterosexual and function and
mate with woman not male and male
or female and female.
MR. DEMISE
Okay valid point.
MR. DEMISE (CONT'D)
Okay now we are going to enter
into a debate about it I need two
volunteers to raise they're hand
one against it and one for it
okay josh and Nick.
JOSH
Sir, I don't want to...
MR. DEMISE
It's okay we are all friendly in
here nobody is going to judge you
on your comments.
JOSH
... Alright.
MR. DEMISE
So josh where do you stand on
this topic.
JOSH
... Well I don't
MR. DEMISE
What do you mean by that?
JOSH
Well I think that if someone
likes somebody than there
shouldn't be any problem but
there is though I think its
selfish to like people for their
body parts....you should fall in
love with someone because they
have a good personality, nice,
kind, sweet, etc....... whether
they be the same sex or not..
MR. DEMISE
Okay Nick you're turn.
NICK
Well one it has nothing to do
with body parts alot of it falls
back on religion which we can't
even go into but its not right if
you keep on doing that kinda of
stuff pretty soon the entire
world will do it and the
population will go down.
MR. DEMISE
Well how do you know that's not a
good thing?
NICK
I just do it's bad enough as it
is that when I walk down the
hallways I have to see two guys
making out and its gotten to the
point where more kids listen to
madonna than go to Sunday school.
JOSH
The only reason it bothers you so
much is because you are homo
phobic and anyway why do you care
so much your not interested are
you?
NICK
No!
JOSH
The united states says that I
have the right to pursue
happiness and if that is what I
like and that it what makes me
happy than I have the right to do
so.
MR. DEMISE
Nice point see there is a lot of
controversy over that and another
religious problem but what is it
that we could do to stop it?
JOSH
You don't its a part of life that
people just need to deal with
because it will be here forever.
(JUST AS NICK TRIES TO INTERJECT THE BELL RINGS AND EVERYBODY
GETS UP AND LEAVES FOR LUNCH.)
CROSS FADE TO:
EXT. COURTYARD - LATER
(JOSH AND KHAMBREL ARE HANGING OUT JUST TALKING WHEN A GROUP OF
KIDS COME AND START TROUBLE.)
KID
Hey queer eating lunch queer.
(THE KID KNOCKS HIS BAG OF CHIPS OUT OF HIS HAND AND KHAMBREL
GETS UP READY TO HIT SOMEBODY.)
KID (CONT'D)
You are a disease and you know
what the government will figure
out a way to cure that real soon.
(KHAMBREL IS PISSED BECAUSE OF THAT COMMENT AND TRIES TO GET IN
HIS FACE AN PUSH HIM WHEN JOSH GRABS HIM AND PULLS HIM BACK.)
KHAMBREL
What you want a piece of me...
(AS SECURITY ARRIVES THE KIDS WALK AWAY AND JOSH AND KHAMBREL
SIT BACK DOWN.)
JOSH
It'll be okay man its alright.
KHAMBREL
No Josh It'll never be alright
man I'm tired of this crap.
(KHAMBREL IS FRUSTRATED AND JOSH IS TRYING TO CALM HIM DOWN.)
JOSH
Retaliation never solves anything
it only adds to the problems.
KHAMBREL
Yeah but it feels good to hurt
somebody sometimes.
JOSH
It feels good to get the pain out
not hurt somebody you don't want
to stoop to that.

INT. JOSH'S HOUSE - NIGHT
(IT'S DARK OUTSIDE AND IS RAINING AND WE SEE OUR COUPLE LAYING
TOGETHER HEAD AND HEAD IN A BED OF FLOWING BLANKETS LOOKING UP
TO THE SKY AND OUR CAMERA IS FLOATING ABOVE THEM HEAVENLY AS IF
THE WORLD OUTSIDE THAT BED DIDN'T EXIST.)
JOSH
I love you more than you will
ever know.
KHAMBREL
Awww.... I love you too.
JOSH
You know sometimes I wonder why
it is that people hate us so
much.
KHAMBREL
I don't know I guess that is just
how the world works I mean my own
mom hates me she said I ruined
the family she disowns me she
won't even talk to me without an
attitude.
JOSH
My mom said the same thing... I
still love her though I'll always
love her she's my mom I just wish
things could be different.
KHAMBREL
If things could be different ...
that's what it is if things could
be different.
JOSH
Khambrel you mean so much to me I
don't know what I would do
without you... you make me feel
good and nobody can tell me that
I feel different or make me.
KHAMBREL
... That's the nicest thing that
anyone has ever said to me you
make me feel like I'm important I

EXT. SCHOOL - MORNING
(KHAMBREL AND JOSH ARE WALKING TO SCHOOL WHEN THEY ARE CORNERED
BY A BUNCH OF GUYS THAT WERE MESSING WITH THEM EARLIER.)
(THE TWO BOYS ARE STANDING NEXT TO EACH OTHER BACK TO BACK
PROTECTING EACH OTHER BUT LOOKING SCARED EVERYTHING IS MOVING
REALLY SLOWLY.)
PULL BACK CAMERA
FLASHES OF CAMERA MOVEMENTS OCCUR
(WE ARE NOW SEEING SHOTS SLOW MOTION OF THE TWO BOYS BEING HURT
ONE IS PUSHED AGAINST THE WALL AND GETS A BUSTED LIP THE OTHER
FALLS NEXT TO HIM WITH A BUSTED EYE.)
CRANE SHOT GOES UP INTO THE SKY

I'm sorry...

INT. ADMINISTRATION OFFICE - LATER
(WE NOW SEE OUR TWO BOYS SITTING IN FRONT OF AN ADMINISTRATOR
WITH A BUSTED EYE AND LIP THE ADMINISTRATOR ISN'T LOOKING TO
HAPPY.)
ADMIN
Gentlemen may I ask what it was
you did to spark that fight
outside?
JOSH
We didn't start it.
ADMIN
Well the boys said you did and
they tried to defend themselves
from your attack.
(KHAMBREL STANDS UP BECAUSE SHE IS TAKING THE BOYS SIDE.)
KHAMBREL
So you are telling me that This
bruise on my face is what
defending themselves is!
ADMIN
Sit down.
KHAMBREL
Thats not fair You're doing this
because were...
(KHAMBREL STOPS AND LOOKS AT HER AND JOSH LOOKS DOWN TO THE
GROUND.)
ADMIN
Do you think you two being
homosexual and sharing a
relationship has anything to do
with this? Because it doesn't but
I'm going to tell you this is
going to stop now! I don't want
to see you to talking to those
boys Nor do I want to see you two
acting the way you do in the
hallways and there won't be any
problems like before Now I'm not
going to suspend you guys but I'm
noting this in you're profiles
you guys are dismissed.
JOSH
I knew since we walked in here
that you looked at me and him and
you saw something different about
us you looked at us like we were
freaks... your just like everyone
else that creates so much
injustice because Me and Khambrel
are gay. Well I am what I am
except it or not...
(THE ADMINISTRATOR CUTS JOSH OFF.)
ADMIN
Get out of my office I don't want

KHAMBREL

JOSH

(THE ADMINISTRATOR LOOKS UP AT JOSH AS THEY WALK OUT AND
CONTINUES WITH HER WORK.)

INT. JOSH'S HOUSE - LATER
(IT IS RAINING ONCE AGAIN AND WE SEE OUR BOYS LAYING IN THE BED
SOAKING WET HEAD AND HEAD WITH THE BRUISES ON THEIR EYES AND
LIPS.)

JOSH

Hey... Khambrel there is supposed
to be a group meeting tonight I
wanted you to go with me like we
usually do but I guess your not
there... alright call me when you

INT. JANITORS CLOSET - MOMENTS LATER
(WE SEE KHAMBREL KISSING SOME KIND OF JOCK CHEATING ON JOSH.)

(A GROUP OF GUYS AND GIRLS ARE SITTING AROUND A TABLE HAVING A
CONVERSATION AND EVERYBODY SEEMS TO BE ENJOYING THEMSELVES AND
JOSH IS SITTING NEXT TO A GUY AND A SEAT THAT IS EMPTY THAT IS
SUPPOSED TO BE KHAMBREL.)
PULL CAMERA BACK SLOWLY.

(KHAMBREL IS SITTING DOWN WITH HIS HEAD DOWN AND LOOKS UPSET
WHEN JOSH COMES UP TO HIM AND SITS NEXT TO HIM.)

I knew that whenever you want to

wrong?
KHAMBREL
I... kissed another guy I'm so
sorry Josh I'm sorry.
JOSH
What... how could you do this to
me I thought you loved me!
KHAMBREL
I do I didn't mean to we got
caught in the janitors closet and
it just seemed right.
JOSH
I can't believe you...
(JOSH'S EYES FILL UP WITH WATER AND HE STANDS UP AND KHAMBREL
TRIES TO GO AFTER HIM BUT HE PUSHES KHAMBREL AND KNOCKS HIM DOWN
AND LEAVES.)

INT. JOSH'S HOUSE - LATER
(JOSH IS LAYING IN THE BED NOT CRYING BUT ALREADY CRIED AND EYES
BLOODSHOT TEARS FORMING IN HIS EYES HE ROLLS OVER ON HIS SIDE
AND SNIFFLES AND THE PHONE RINGS AND WE SEE THAT IT'S KHAMBREL
TRYING TO CALL BUT JOSH DOESN'T PICK IT UP BUT THE ANSWERING
MACHINE CATCHES IT.)

Hey uhh.. I guess your either not
home or you don't want to answer
your phone... which is cool I
guess I wouldn't answer the phone
if something like that happened
to me either I'm sorry and I hope
you can find it in your heart to
forgive me it was an accident...
V.O
I could never forgive him for
what he had done to me he tore a
piece of my heart out and threw
it away like it was nothing and
now there is a huge hole that
can't be patched.
(THE SOUNDS OF A PHONE HANGING UP CAN BE HEARD AND JOSH TURNS
BACK ON HIS BACK AND LOOKS UP TO THE SKY.)

INT. JOSH'S HOUSE - DAYS LATER
(JOSH IS SO UPSET THAT HE IS WRITING A LETTER AND WE SEE
DIFFERENT SHOTS OF HIM DOING THINGS LIKE TRYING TO SLEEP BUT
DOESN'T WORK, WATCHING TV AND NOT KNOW WHATS GOING ON WRITING
HIS LETTER WALKING AROUND THE HOUSE, CRYING AND ETC.)
JOSH V.O
It's been days since Khambrel has
called me and everything out of
whack. Why did he do this to me?
He said he loved me and wanted to
marry me. How could he spend so
much time with me and not care
how I feel. I'm all alone, nobody
cares whether I live or die. All
I ever do is cause problems for
everyone. How can I get him back?
That jerk doesn't know how much
he means to my life and me.
I don't have a life without him.
How can I trust anyone? I want to
say goodbye to mom, Patty &
Khambrel. You are my family and
mean more to me than my life. I'm
sorry I have caused you so many
problems and I'm sorry that I let
you down because I'm gay I'm
trying to watch TV but I don't
know what I'm watching. It's so
lonely here. I want to sleep but
it just won't come. I'm so tired
of hurting and being a lone. I
keep thinking about the pills in
the cabinet but I'm scared. My
head hurts so much from crying
but if I take anything for it I'm
scared I won't stop and I would
want to stop. I wish he would
call to say everything is all
right. I've lost the most
important thing in my life. I'm
so very tired of being alone, and
making everyone miserable. I'm so
cold, please do something. I
can't stand this empty feeling
that I'm having. My head is
horrible. Stop the pounding it
hurts so much. I have no control
over anything in my life I can't
take it anymore…
