He takes out a set of car keys and drops them into the gutter. MAN Shit. He bends down to pick up the keys. A hand darts across and grabs his hand. He raises his arm to see a hand attached to his arm. Only the ARM isnt attached to a BODY. The man goes a pasty white. He falls backwards onto the sidewalk. A HOBO grabs his hair. ANGLE on HOBO. His face is LIFELESS. No eyes. Skin ripped open, puss coming out of the wounds. The HOBO moves in, opening his mouth.. White ooze drips out of his mouth and onto the guy. CAMERA SWINGS ROUND. His face starts to melt. The white ooze is ACID. The man lets out a piercing scream. The Hobo lets out a similar scream. CAMERA PULLS UP to REVEAL a GROUP OF HOBO'S walking to the other hobo. The guy is screaming for his life. Trying to get away. He looks up and sees a hobo CRAWLING towards him. MAN Argh! Stay they fuck away! AERIAL VIEW We see the hobo crawling towards the man. HE has no right leg. All that is left is the skeleton of his left leg. No flesh is on the bone. Its almost like a coyote has chewed through his LEG. The man tries to get up but the hobo grabs his hair tighter. He falls back with a THUD. The crawling hobo grabs his shirt and lifts him onto the guy. He grabs the guys shirt and rips it open. He claws at the body flesh. RIPPING it open. ANGLE ON A BLACK FIGURE LEAPING FROM THE SHADOWS. He slashes down with a spiked piece of railing, Into the crawling hobo. Blood SPURTS into the air. More hobos start to appear. JACK brings out a MACH pistol from his side and fires it around in a circle. Bodies slump to the floor. And get back up. Blood pouring from their wounds. JACK empties the clip into them. He kicks and punches his way out of the circle. He backs up against the wall. He sees a pole on the ground. He grabs the pole from the floor and starts swinging it. He knocks one of the hobos heads off. The head rolls to the floor. JACK stares at the head. The HEAD glances back at JACK and WINKS. JACK looks up, the body is still advancing towards him. He swings the pole more times. Knocking hobos this way and that way. He makes a run for it. He makes it to the end of the street where a BLACK LINCOLN is parked. He goes into the trunk and brings out an MP5 Kurtz with laser sighting. He puts in an extra hi capacity magazine. He cocks the gun. He turns to face the hobos who are walking slowly to him. He opens fire. BLAM-BLAM-BLAM-BLAM-BLAM! The bullets enter the heads off six hobos and each of their heads explode. BOOM! More hobos keeping coming. JACK looks around and sees the man he saved walking to him slowly with his foot bent and dragging his coat along the floor. I think its a safe bet that these fuckers are ZOMBIES. JACK POPS another clip into the gun and starts to fire at them. Bodies get hit by bullets. Holes appearing and blood oozing out of the wounds. JACK gets into the car and starts the engine. The car VOOMS up. Obviously its had a tune up. A more aggressive push to it. He presses a button on the dash. EXT - CAR The head lamps disappear and out pops two 50. Cal machine gun nozzles. FADE IN: EXT - CITY STREET - NIGHT AERIAL VIEW of an EMPTY STREET The same black Lincoln ROARS around the corner and onto the empty street. A few CARS, TRUCKS parked on odd angles. ABANDONED. The only thing on the streets is HOBO like people. ZOMBIES. The zombies walk around looking at things and banging their arms against shop windows, deserted cars and fences. INT - CAR - NIGHT JACK pushes a button on the dashboard and out POPS a small button. He pushes the button. EXT - OUTSIDE AN APARTMENT BLOCK - NIGHT A WHITE garage door starts to open up. The Lincoln pulls into the GARAGE at the end of the street. JACK gets out with his machine gun aimed at the zombies. Zombies advance toward him. He pulls a lever on the wall down. The doors SLAM shut knocking them back. JACK And stay out! He pulls another lever. EXT - OUTSIDE Lights SWITCH on ILLUMINATING the high rise building. The building has been painted white. Zombies back off from the lights. INT - GARAGE JACK goes back into the car and pulls out three plastic bags. He closes the door. JACK walks to a staircase and pushes a button. A door springs up, made of glass. He walks up and presses the button on the side. The glass SLIDES down. INT - JACKS PLACE JACK enters through a metal door. He shuts it and puts a METAL bar across the door frame. He pushes a button and a security box SHOOTS up from the ground. He enters a code into it. The Box DINGS! He walks over to the window. He opens it and walks onto the balcony. He places a telescopic rifle on a table. He walks back into the room. JACK walks to a chair. He spins it around and puts his machine gun on it. He sits down on the chair opposite the table. On the table is a chess set. The game has already been started. JACK Your turn buddy! CAMERA PANS TO A DOOR A Labrador (MOOSE) shoots out from the room and jumps on JACK. Licking his face. JACK Dont lick me, youve probably been licking your balls! Your move genius. JACK gets up and goes into the kitchen. INT - KITCHEN JACK, followed by Moose enters the kitchen. He picks up a bowl from the floor and fills it with water. He places it back on the floor. He then opens the fridge. He brings out a packet of meat. He rips it open and gives some to MOOSE and then some for himself. The walk back into the other room. INT - LIVING ROOM JACK and MOOSE sit down onto a chair. JACK switches the T.V on. The screen is nothing more than blue screen. No signal. He gets up and puts in a CD like disc. The screen fills with a home video. On the screen is JACK, MOOSE, a lady playing with a little boy. JACKS FAMILY. They play football, baseball. All having a good time. A shell pops out onto the floor. He picks up the shell and examines it closely. Hasnt been fired in a while. He pockets the shell. He searches the cupboard even more. He finds a box of shells. He opens the box and brings out a group of green bullets. He loads them into the magazine and clips it back in the gun. He looks through the scope and adjusts the sighting. He aims the laser onto a china doll on the mantle piece. He fires a single shot from the gun. CLOSE ON DOLL: The doll EXPLODES instead of shattering across the mantle piece. The gun ECHOS through the apartment. EXT - OUTSIDE The zombies start to let out screams and moans from the gunshot. Some even start to whale like animals. They start to claw at the walls. INT - APARTMENT JACK gets up and starts to laugh as he heads for the window. He opens the balcony doors and heads out onto the veranda. He looks down over the balcony. EXT - ON THE STREETS Zombies CLAWING at the wires. Sparks start to fly from the broken wires. Zombies FLY back from being ELECTROCUTED. Zombies set alight. INT - BEDROOM JACK walks into the bedroom and places the cup besides the bed on a bedside cabinet. He closes the door to REVEAL a refitted wardrobe with the doors off. In the wardrobe is an armory. Full of identical machine guns and a case of explosives. He goes to the other wardrobe besides the window frame. He opens the door to REVEAL a electric box attached to the wall inside. He flicks numerous switches and buttons. MONTAGE OF QUICK SHOTS AROUND THE BUILDING. The garage door being locked down with a huge metal bar like those on medieval castles. All windows being shut and locked. Doors making robot kind of noises and then beeping. The balcony doors closing. BACK TO JACK IN BEDROOM. He closes the window and pulls a metal bar out from beneath the wardrobe. He walks to the bedroom door and closes it. He puts the bar across the door frame. In the window is a mannequin wearing a pair of black jeans and a red shirt. JACK looks it up and down and smashes the window. He climbs into the shop window and enters the shop. INT - CLOTHES STORE. He see Moose in the kitchen, trying to claw at something under the fridge. JACK Come on get away from there. Moose moves and JACK lifts the fridge up. He sees a mouse. He places the fridge back down. Suddenly the lights go out. He rushes out onto the balcony and looks over, He sees a group of zombies clawing at the main power box. He runs back into the living room. INT - JACKS PLACE JACK runs back into the apartment. He grabs a grenade pouch off the table. He picks up a climbing like harness and puts it on. He pulls out the 9MM pistol from the holster and cocks it back. He hooks the MP5K onto the rig. He picks up another grenade pouch and hooks it onto the rig as well. He heads onto -- EXT - BALCONY JACK races onto the balcony, ripping the pin from the grenade. He drops it over the balcony. The grenade EXPLODES. Zombies fly backwards, Zombies EXPLODE and heads POP. JACK opens fire at the zombies. A zombie falls over. Zombies fall over her creating a PILE UP. They start crawling, from the pile up towards the building. The receiver wails high pitched. BOOM! The basket explodes and zombies go for a trip into the sky. JACK reloads the machine gun. As he reloads the gun arms, legs and Zombie heads fly into the air. INT - JACKS PLACE Moose starts to bark. JACK runs in and sees that zombies have gotten into the place. JACK opens fire with the machine gun in one hand and slings the rifle over his left shoulder. He brings out a 9MM from his leg holster and opens fire. Zombies fall to the floor. They get back up and keep moving towards JACK. JACK Moose! This way! Moose runs across the room, jumping over the chairs and into a room. JACK fires a few shots from his 9MM into a zombies body. Blood POURS out and puss begins to come out of the mouth. A zombie grabs the gun off of JACK. JACK lets go off the gun and kicks the zombie across the room. The zombie just stares at the gun. His hands feel the gun until his finger finds the trigger and. BANG! The gun goes off and the zombies head explodes out the back of his head. A zombie grabs JACKS MP5K. JACK brings the gun up. Zombies hand still on the barrel. The zombie tears in half and the arms are the only thing left ON THE CAR. INT - CAR JACK floors the car and brings out a hand drawn map. On the map is a red circle. Named safe zone. JACK Right. Seventeen miles. EXT - HIGHWAY - DAWN The Lincoln flies down the empty highway. Moose has his head out the window. JACK rummages around in the glove box. He brings out a chocolate bar. He pulls on the cross and the door swings open. He walks through the door and into a Laboratory. He picks up a sports bag and starts to put jars of red, green and blue liquids into it. He picks up a crossbow and slings it onto his shoulder. He goes to the silver cupboard at the end of the Lab. He enters a code on to the control panel. The doors slide open and reveal rows of weapons. CUT TO: EXT - COURTYARD - DAWN Angel, and Chris keep the zombies at bay. Angel speaks into her radio. The zombie body explodes into pieces. JACK holsters the gun and revs up and SHOOTS through the crowd. INT - COURTYARD - DAY JACK pulls up. ANGEL and CHRIS cover fire him. JACK gets off the bike. He looks down at the back wheel and the zombie arm is still hooked onto the bike. JACK takes off the black bag and pulls out an M-16 machine gun with grenade LAUNCHER. INT - HOSPITAL They both lock and seal the door. ANGEL looks through the windows and sees the zombies in the courtyard. She then glances and sees CHRIS lying atop a car. ANGEL CHRIS! JACK No! INT - UNDERGROUND LAB JACK, ANGEL and WICKS start to move backwards, still keeping the zombies at bay when a group of ZOMBIES appear from behind them. WICKS turns and starts to fire. They fall to their stomachs but still move towards them by crawling. It goes into a 3D layout showing each and every room and LAB underground. BUZZ picks up the RADIO. BUZZ Right, I got the plans up. Which room you in? ( BEAT ) Right, their is no room like that on the plans. Not even the hallway you mention. Stay where you are, Im on my way down with the portable and the layouts. BUZZ hooks the radio up to his belt buckle and turns to leave, when he sees MOOSE. Sitting in the doorway, STARING at him. BUZZ Hey there little fella. MOOSE, just sits there, still STARING. BUZZ What do you want? MOOSE starts to GROWL at BUZZ. Who is starting to get a bit NERVOUS. BUZZ Whats the matter buddy? CUT TO: EXT - BACK OF HOSPITAL - NIGHT JONESY, COLE and the rest of the team are searching the bushes, fences and behind the TREE STUMPS for a way to this BRIDGE. JONESY Anyone found anything? Rays of sunlight are BEAMING down on JONESY, who is standing at the beginning of the bridge. Both ends of the bridge are locked by GATES. But the other end is UNLOCKED. JONESY Damn. Cole, you got a charger? COLE Yeah, why? JONESY The bridge is locked by a gate, Im gonna have to blow it open. COLE throws JONESY a SMALL, metallic charger. He sticks it to the gate with some chewing gum from his mouth. He brings out some metal wire from his pouch and wraps it around the pin on the charger. He UNREELS the wire back to behind one of the bushes. On the bridge, a hand appears from beneath it. The hand starts to wonder, almost like it is looking for something. The hand feels a leg of the railing and grabs it. The hand pulls on itself and another hand appears. We see a GLIMPSE of a head starting to rise. The ZOMBIE pulls itself up onto the bridge, but we only see ONE SIDE of the face. CU. OF JONESY JONESY pulls on the wire. NOTHING. He pulls on it again. JONESY sees the face of the ZOMBIE, and for the first time so do we: He only has one side of his face, the only thing that is left on his right side is an EYE BALL hanging by some gloppy blood and a VEIN. Some get blown into the bushes, some into the river and some dont get to go anywhere, just blown to bits on the spot. JACK Those leg things didnt do this to him, theirs a footprint here. WICKS, looks closer at the foot print. WICKS Wait a minute, that prints got grips in it. JACK Yeah, WICKS Yeah, and look at this. WICKS, places his COMBAT BOOT in some blood on the floor and makes a foot print next to the other one. Its exactly the same. WICKS (CONTD) Its the same. SUDDENLY they hear a loud THUD. They move out of the room and into the hallway. ANGEL Wheres Wesker? They run down the hallway and see BUZZ, banging the butt of his gun into a ZOMBIES head. WESKER standing over him with his gun aimed at the ZOMBIE. JACK Buzz, I think hes done. BUZZ Hey Jack, I got those plans you asked for. BUZZ hands JACK the small portable laptop. JACK loads up the plans. BUZZ When you mentioned this part of the underground, I couldnt find it. WESKER What you mean you couldnt find it? BUZZ This part of the underground was made after they finished the rest of the underground labs. JACK What you on about? BUZZ What Im saying is, that they made this part when they werent supposed to. CUT TO: INT - UNDERGROUND LAB JACK, ANGEL, WICKS and WESKER are sitting on stools while from the previous SCENE we HEAR: BUZZ This underground sanction, was built so the scientists who worked for the Army, can make and experiment new weaponry. But this part of the underground, the ones not on the layout plans was built by a man called Richard Placard. Where you get this information from? BUZZ On Atkins computer, it has all the files in detailed information. JACK, walks on over and looks at the screen. He notices "LAB 21" on the list. JACK Click that. BUZZ clicks on "LAB 21". a schematic of the lab pops up on the screen. On the side of the schematic, a list comes up with certain names on it. Its almost like a check list. The names: DUNVILLE, TATTOO, COLE, JONESY, HEWLETT. All these names have ticks next to them. ANGEL What the hell, JACK Right, get everyman and search this underground lab thoroughly. I want everyone in groups of four. If they die they die but we got to find this lab 21. Thats were Atkins is. We find him, we find out how to stop this thing. You see him, kill him, but after we get the information. WESKER How the hell do you know hes their? JACK points to the screen. On the SCREEN is a picture of ATKINS, in a white SCIENTIST COAT, with two other SCIENTISTS. In a LAB. JACK Cause thats Atkins right there. They all walk out the room. WESKER and WICKS round up the survivors who were left looking for anything earlier on. The ones in this picture for ZOMBIE FOOD. WESKER rounds them up and sends them to their deaths. CUT TO: INT - HOSPITAL KITCHEN - DAY NICOLA, and a few other survivors, along with their children, are all eating breakfast. MOOSE sits at the knees of NICOLA. NICOLA Wheres my mommy? CUT TO: INT - UNDERGROUND ACCESS TUNNEL - DAY STEAM rises from the funnels. Water drips from the over head water pipes. Its dark and nasty. JACK and ANGEL walk through the tunnel. ANGEL gets out of the way when JACK places a small computer lead into the side of the keypad and enters his own number into it. The doors make a BUZZING sound then open wide. The door leads to a LAB. They both enter the LAB when the doors SEAL SHUT behind them. CUT TO: INT - ACCESS TUNNEL 2 - DAY WESKER and WICKS walk down the tunnel. Looking into each of the small vents and doorways. WESKER, brings out a small GLOW STICK and CRACKS it. It starts to GLOW BLUE. He throws it down the tunnel. The BLUE light illuminates the tunnel. They walk on down the tunnel, almost tiptoeing, down the tunnel. They heard a noise behind them. They both spin round like lightening. Nothing. WICKS walks backwards to see where it came from, as WESKER carries on down the tunnel, following the BLUE GLOW. WICKS, gun aimed high, walks back to were they first entered the tunnel. WESKER, down the other end of the tunnel starts to look at a wall, almost examining it. He touches the damp wall. The wall starts to CRUMBLE under his fingers. WESKER Hey Wicks, I think Ive got something. No response. WESKER turns around. The BLUE GLOW starts to FADE away. He turn to face the STICK, only to see a HAND dragging it along the wet floor. WESKER walks towards the GLOW STICK, and the HAND that is dragging it. AS WE see: WICKS, walking down the tunnel and seeing a metal pipe roll out from nowhere. WICKS What the fuck? WICKS walks towards the pipe, gun aimed. Another pipe rolls across the floor, this time banging into the other pipe, creating an echoing metal CLANG. He stops in his tracks. He looks around the corner where the pipes came from, WICKS POV: nothing. Just some pipes, steam being let off, and water dripping into puddles. He lowers his gun and turns around, SUDDENLY WESKER is standing behind him. WICKS jumps out of his skin. WICKS You bastard. WESKER just looks at WICKS. He tries to smile. WICKS Whats wrong pal? WESKER, just about raises a smile, as he falls to his knees. As he falls to his knees we see a group of ZOMBIES standing behind him, looking at WICKS. One of the ZOMBIES is holding the BLUE GLOW stick. Blood PUMPING out of his stomach and chest. WICKS You can all go fuck yourselves! WICKS lifts up his machine gun and starts to fire his gun at the ZOMBIES. He hits a few of them knocking them back into other ZOMBIES but they keep getting back up and coming towards him. WICKS starts to walks backwards, firing as he moves. CLICK! CLICK! CLICK! EMPTY. He throws the machine gun to the ground, and un-holsters two 9MM automatic pistols. He starts to squeeze the triggers. BLAM! BLAM! BLAM! ZOMBIES start to fall after being hit in the face and skull. 00020000068F00017EF5689,WICKS stops firing and starts to run from the action as his guns start to empty pretty fast. He runs down a corridor which leads into another hallway of doors. WICKS Oh shit, where the fuck am I? He starts to check each door handle to see If it opens or not. But to no avail they dont. He looks behind him and sees the ZOMBIES staggering down the hallway. He brings up his guns and starts to fire them. Behind him, a ZOMBIE appears half way down the hallway. The ZOMBIE, foot inwards and dragging a pipe across the floor, makes WICKS turn. He stretches his arms out like Jesus on the cross. He fires a few rounds into the pipe ZOMBIE, and a few into the few ZOMBIES at the opening to the hallway. He moves down the hallway towards the pipe ZOMBIE, back up against the walls. He moves down, firing a shot here and there. He moves in front of a closed door and stands still, firing at both ends of the hallway until his guns are empty. He ejects the clips from both guns and starts to reload, all is quiet. He leans up against the door. The ZOMBIES at both end stop in their tracks. SUDDENLY a thousand hands DART out of the door, breaking the wood and grabbing a hold of WICKS. The ZOMBIE hands start to drag him back into the room while WICKS aims the guns behind him and starts to RATTLE of the rounds quicker than he can chew.
