Masters of Horror teleplays

Thanks to Melson for the heads up on these three teleplays from the Masters of Horror series. These come from Drew “Professor Moriarty” of AICN McWeeny’s ‘blog All My Lies Are Always Wishes. There are two drafts of Cigarette Burns and a draft of Pro-Life. Also, if you pop over to McWeeny’s Scripts catagory, you can read a couple of his plays as well as a couple of his other unproduced pieces. So, read a couple of Masters of Horror Teleplays and other good stuff over on the TV Scripts page. - Don

Twenty-four scripts up, vampires and a shameless plug

On the Unproduced Scripts page, there are twenty-four new or revised scripts up for your reading pleasure. And, after you have read them, you can discuss them on the Discussion Board

For those of you familiar with George’s Fempiror/Vampire work, I’d thought I’d let you know that he’s finally gotten his site up and running at Fempiror.com. Those not familiar with George’s work, though keen on vampire mythology, you might want to check out The Fempiror Chronicles which is a series of stories following a race of people who resemble the mythological vampire in many ways.

Nosferatu transcript and a few unproduced scripts

On the unproduced scripts page there are five new or revised scripts up for your reading pleasure.

On Public Domain Torrents I ran across the movie Nosferatu as a free download (or you can watch it streaming). You can also read an excellent transcript courtesy of Horror Lair.

I’m listening to Shadowmagic by John Lenahan. Shadowmagic is a fun fantasy adventure novel very loosely based on Irish mythology. Conor is a teenager whisked away to Tir na Nog, the mystical land of the ancient Celts. - Don

Read a script, read a script!

Thirty! Count ‘em Thirty-ish original scripts are up on the Unproduced Scripts page. Read ‘em then talk about ‘em.

It is no secret that a lot of folks who showcase their work on this site are great fans of the horror genre. Also, no great secret that, next to reading scripts, I like listening to podcasts of speculative fiction the likes of which are found on Escape Pod and Variant Frequencies. Well, Steve Eley and Mur Lafferty and Ben Phillips (the same fine folks that brought you Escape Pod) have banded together to bring you PseudoPod The Horror Podcast. The inaugural podcast is a work by Scott Sigler, author of the podio works Earth Core, Infection (not for the faint of heart) and Ancestor. So, horror fans out there (and there are a lot of them), check out PseudoPod. Note Scott Sigler’s work and the stories that appear on PseudoPod are not kid friendly. This is scary, gory stuff here. - Don
