If you have a moment, check out ScriptShadow’s script review of Kick-Ass about a comic-book fanboy who decides to take his obsession as inspiration to become a real-life superhero.
Like a lot of people, I was quite taken with the trailer for the movie. Shows promise.

Jason writes, “In this scene, the prologue, Ronnie Van Helsing leads an attack on one of Dracula’s floating blood reservoirs. I’m also including the same scene from the script for comparison, because it’s an interesting illustration of how the different media lead you to make different choices. Greg [Scott] and I started with a scene with four commandos and several more pilots– the final scene has only two characters, the movement is different, etc. In the end they’re the same scene, but very different in how you accomplish “land on the zeppelin, inject it, fight zombies and jump off.”

Visit the Sword of Dracula page to compare and contrast ’script to comic’.
