Movie Poet – October Winners


MoviePoet.com announces the winners of the October 2009 short script competition. Numbers The title of your script must be a number. You can use punctuation (commas, hyphens, decimal points, etc.), but no letters.

“$25″ by Micah Ricke ~ First Place
A hard-nosed father enters a prize-fight to win $25 for his family during the Great Depression.

“270″ by Caroline Coxon ~ Second Place
In violent circumstances a young man makes a life-changing choice between accepting himself for who he is or adopting a less challenging identity in order to survive.

“-40°” by Brian Wind ~ Third Place
A family road trip to the middle of nowhere during a blizzard… What could go wrong?

Each month, Movie Poet runs a free online five page screenplay contest. On the first of each month a new contest is announced. During that month, you can enter your script. During the next month, you can read, vote, and comment on all the entries. Finally, during the third month, the results are announced.
