I can shed some light on this bit of confusion in relation to Mr. Fox's supermarket speech that closes the film (having worked in the movie production field before). What you're looking at is the original script for the film, but like 80 to 90% of all movie scripts, it's never 100% accurate to the finalized release. Some elements get changed around by the time these movie begin filming (whether actors start ad-libbing their lines, new ideas are made on the fly, scenes and cut scenes getting changed around to smooth out any other changes, or that the changes are an attempt to differentiate the original source, such as a novel, biography, or playwright). Rather than include the changes in the original script and have it rewritten after the film is cut, they worked around it on the fly, as instructed by the movie director or producer. The supermarket speech at the end was clearly something that was conducted after the script was written and after filming had commenced.

If nobody has done so, I can send over a copy of Mr. Fox's supermarket speech, if nobody has already.

Is it just me, or does this script lack the "supermarket toast" speech given by Mr. Fox at the movie's close? Could anyone possibly email the speech to me, at feyseraphim@gmail.com ?
I would appreciate it so much-- I loved his closing speech and want to have it handy.Thanks.

[...] Certainly the true nature story has been told many times before, but never like this. Real surreal is the animation. The characters fascinating and quirky. The pacing just right. The voices pitch perfect. And all of these wonderful features and elements owe their charmosity to the elegantly arranged words in the script.
