I should probably clarify the thing about Charlie only ever writing one draft before he turns it in.

Even when a screenwriter writes eighty drafts before he hands a script to an agent for the first time, that script will reach the agent as “1st draft.” (Most folks visiting this site would probably know that, anyway.)

I stand corrected.

My right of reply, though: Yes, I’ve tried to get the script to people to publish. I thought I was doing everyone a favor. I was excited. I even gave it to Variety, online. I got the script from a friend at UTA because he/she knows I like to read his scripts. I never asked for money from Mick, nor Don, for it.

I don’t know why everyone has to be a smart arse about it? Leaks, scoops, whatever you want to call them happen because people are willing to share private things. I had no idea it wasn’t his script. I’m still not entirely sure it isn’t.

Perhaps if Mick at “being charlie kaufman” was as close to Kaufman as he’d wish he was, he’d get him to come on his site and say it isn’t his script.

Prove, it isn’t his. So far all you’ve added is conjecture.

Peace, Daniel.

I just finished reading it and I have to say it ain’t bad. Made me cry at the end. I could very well think it was a Charlie Kaufman screenplay. It’s as if he’s laughing at himself for all the other stuff he’s done in his screenplays before. Yeah -just as I say that – I’m thinking this is a joke on us that it is his screenplay and he’s laughing at us and at himself. How fucked up is that, if it’s true? Also the spelling if F–ken is used in the Australian vernacular as oppose to F—kin in the American. So maybe he hasn’t really made a mistake. What do I think? I Charlie Kaufman is playing us…

To me this reads like a hoax script by the non-hoaxer. Could Charlie Kaufman be laughing at us the audience?

Don,

Not sure why you posted this. This is obviously not Kaufman as it is so poorly written. A look at the properties of the pdf file show it belongs to Mike and Mary Galea. I think perhaps your friend in Australia is trying to have a bit of fun and that by posting this and the fake efforts to propagate it, you are only encouraging this juvenile attempt at a hoax.

Don,

I am not DanMak and DanMak is not me. I don’t know who this other person you think I am, is. Please remove this statement as it is just plain wrong and it is defaming my good name. You have been warned. Thank you.

I thought I was making a valued contribution to this topic, but now I see the kind of site you are running and I won’t be back.

I have a feeling that when others realize how easily you seem to allege things which aren’t true, they too will keep clear of this place.

Good luck to you!

Pieter,

You are entitled to your opinion. I have my own. Your’s is different to mine. I won’t kill you for it, and you probably won’t kill me for it. I won’t make the suggestion that you are really Don, or Mick, even though I could. I am a humble person.

Good luck to you too,

Sofia.

Sofia.

{Again, “Sofia” is “Dan” – They both post from the same IP address}

Same IP addresses doesn’t mean same person. Especially when there are over 20 seperate connections at this IP address. You are wrong. You have been mistaken. You have been put on notice, now. You actually call yourself a journalist??? You are to remove the association or face potential legal proceedings.

Best wishes,
Sofia.

How dumb are you? Really? Same IP addresses doesn’t mean the same person. Are you a journailst? Go back to school. 101 Investigative Journalism is still accepting admissions.

What I said was, same IP addresses doesn’t mean same person, numbskull. Investigative Journalism 101 is still accepting admissions if you hurry. Than you can call yourself a real journalist.

Don gets a call from the ascerbic Chris Day at UTA? What was the phone call about, I wonder? What a dipstick and dipshit respectively.

You have been warned, Don. Walkinf straight into a lovely piece of dogshit and you don’t care. Very professional. Yeah, real professional outfit you’re running here??? You will get what you are seeking with such relish. Careful it doesn’t stain you, or someone closely associated with you.

{Edit: Again, Sofia and DanMak are the same individual}

I really hate to see this, but I agree with poops.

Where’s the link? I wanna read it; whether it be fake or not… could provide entertainment.

I think this thread of comments should be adapted to a script. Very funny. I wish I knew what all this Kaufman business was all about though.

You people cannot read IT beacuse the all powerful Chris Day at UTA has had a chat with our Mr Don. To learn more about what is being discussed check out some interesting posts at JoBlo.com… It seems the screenplay is looking more and more like it is in fact a Kaufman work.

…but don’t take my word for it. Investigate the matter yourself and ask real questions. Nobody has a monopoly over truth… even if they do happen to own their own website. The truth will set us free, and all that.

…except God, that is. I think he has a monopoly over truth. But as a Christian I would think that, wouldn’t I?

You cannot read the script because Chris Day from UTA had a chat with our Mr Don and he had to take it down. Seems that this script is looking more and more like a Kaufman work. Wonder if people will apologize to DanMak as quickly as they were willing to condemn him? The hoax by the non-hoaxer has been set. How many more will slip into the joke?

“DanMak” and “Sophia” and “Betty Foreman” and “Bayonet” are all the same person.

I haven’t been contacted by anyone, other than the above mentioned wackjob. I removed the script because, upon closer inspection, I realized it was crap.

I’ve written 4 screenplays. I have them up for sale. I haven’t gotten any replies, so I’m going to make them into manuscripts and sell them as books. If Hollywood would just stop spitting the same old …same old. Then we screenwriters would have a chance!
