September Movie Poet winners announced.

Congrats to Matias and Phillip for their second and third place finishes in the MoviePoet.com September 2008 short script competition. – “Scene in Reverse” – The story must be told backwards. Each new scene must occur in time before the previous scene and your script must contain at least three scenes.

An elderly artist repeatedly adjusts his painting for his dying grand-daughter.

MoviePoet.com is dedicated to the art of screenwriting, in particular, the short screenplay. Each month, they run a free online five page screenplay contest. The goal is threefold: help writers improve their craft, celebrate our best work, and connect writers and their scripts with filmmakers.

MoviePoet.com is currently accepting submissions for our November contest – “Less is More” = In screenwriting every page, every paragraph, every sentence, and every word counts. Tell an entire story in one page.
