Bill Condon is a master technician. I've recommended Gods and Monsters to many people as a "how to" guide for just about every technical element you could ever need to use.

In Gods there are flashbacks, hallucinations, dream sequences, scenes from old movies that are flashbacks and scenes from old movies on television that are all intertwined with each other and the present day narrative. It's all clear and beautifully structured.

There's a leaner version of Gods and Monsters on the internet which is easier to read than the one on the anniversary site but the site listed above has the oneline schedule which offers a glimpse into how scripts are broken down and shot.
