Thanks to Jen for the heads up on these from TimMinear.net who has posted the final shooting scripts for the first four episodes of DRIVE! Beware, though: Due to some changes in the editing suite, some scenes that were written for Episodes 103 and 104 were shifted to later episodes. So there are BIG plot spoilers ahead. Check them out on the TV scripts page.

Thanks to Rain for the heads up on Charlie Kaufman’s latest script Synecdoche, New York. Breaking news from N who writes, Hey… I was on IMDB and just noticed that M Night Shyamalan’s new movie The Happening for 2008 is listed. I was psyched being a big fan and this was the first I heard of it. Anyways I went to the [IMDB] message board to see what the film was about and to my surprise someone in there has been emailing the script and one post I found had a link to download the script from megaupload. …I thought I’d point out the link to you so people can download the script if they want to check it out while its on megaupload. I believe it’s a 6th draft and MNS has already done extensive rewrites, but I heard the same thing about The Village and the movie ended up almost exactly the same as the leaked script for that film. Anyways, keep up the great work… don’t know what I’d do without your site!
Imagine a director coming to you with an idea and you had a week to churn out a short script on a theme or genre. Could you do it? This Friday we will be announcing the theme/genre of the April One Week Exercise.

Thanks Dennis for the heads up on this latest from The Weekly Script. This weeks fare is the 1965 The Cincinnati Kid – An up-and-coming poker player tries to prove himself in a high-stakes match against a long-time master of the game. Check it out on the Movie Scripts page.
Thanks to Jack for the heads up on this. The Smoking Gun has five pages of the script to the controversial movie Hounddog. The film, set in the Deep South in the 1950s, features Dakota Fanning as Lewellen, a troubled girl who is attacked in a shed by a character named Wooden’s Boy. The five pages describes the sexual assault of the character Lewellen portrayed by Fanning. The scene is very disturbing. You can read it here. – Don
