The Stranger Things series, in addition to being the first science fiction series shot in high definition, has also made the leap from the web to television. The online anthology series will appear on cable channel Illusion On-Demand.

The National Board announced yesterday their picks for the best of 2008.
On the screenwriting side, award for best adapted screenplay was shared by Eric Roth for Benjamin Button and Simon Beaufoy for Slumdog Millionaire. Gran Torino screenwriter, Nick Schenk, won for original script.
Slumdog and Benjamin Button have not been put online by the studios, yet. The Gran Torino script was up on the Warner Brothers for a short time, but was then pulled. You might, however, still be able to read it on Google cache.

A couple of non-FYC scripts up. Thanks to JoBlo.com you can read the 2001 shooting script of Vanilla Sky which was based on the screenplay Abre Los Ojos by Alejandro Amenabar and Mateo Gil. And, thanks to the the definitive Coen Brothers fan site Coen Brothers, “You know, for the kids” you can read the unproduced script for To The White Sea based on the novel To The White Sea by James Dicky.
